Excellent position, right in Petite Venise and with convenient access by car from the highway.
Attactive and comfortable hotel, with friendly and efficient staff. Very convenient location.
would make it my base for exploring area
Comfortable bed, lovely bathroom and friendly staff There was no hair dryer. The breakfast was pretty pricey at 12 Euro per person
A good quality 3-star hotel. The room and the facilities are very well maintained. Breakfast is extra! The hotel is also 20-minute away (on foot) from the train station.
The location set in the middle of a bustling square with lots of specialist food shops and plenty of choice of restaurants. A picturesque location with the canal and bridge. The hotel beautifully refurbished in a modern decor within a beautiful old building. Great style. I adored everything about Le Colombier but the addition of a restaurant would just be perfect.
Pleasant modern decor; helpful & friendly staff; within easy reach of old town. Room not suitable for tall person - low beams. Small bath towels
The hotel is very well located. Parking was easy to find neaby (almost in this season). The personell was really nice and helpfull. Our room was located on a small street behind the main building, in a house of '600. The furniture design very nice (with a large and confortable bed), the quite at night, make this place definitely recommended!!
The central location meant that we could walk to restaurants and around the area after we parked the rental car. The carpet on the floor of the bedroom was quite worn and therefore appeared somewhat unclean. The rest of the room and the bathroom were very clean.
quiet clean room, clean modern ambience in an old building in the historic district It would have been nice, on at least one night, if there had been a restaurant in the hotel (many of the better restaurants in the town are closed on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings) - but that is probably impractical for a small hotel.
Neat and simple little hotel at the entrance to the old city. Great Hotel if you only stay one or two nights and want to be in the centre of Colmar.
Clean, good location Room that had not been updated, including bedding and bed. Also, I believe the hair dryer mounted in the bathroom was from 1960.
Nice atmosphere, clean, comfortable, great location to activities within walking distance, good customer service, reasonably priced and good selections for the buffet breakfast. Oh yes, and some Enlish speaking assistance at the reception desk (thank you).
Convenient position to old quarter of Colmar. Bright, airy room. Reasonable breakfast and a secure garage for our touring bicycles. Staff were helpful with a bucket to clean the bikes when they were muddy from the rain!
It was very well placed for exploring the city and surrounding area The breakfast was dreadful.. How can a hotel produce tinned fruit when it is so easy to cut up fresh fruit. coffee not good and jam?? this was jelly when France has such wonderful jam At the cost of 8 euros very bad. We would have gone out for breakfast if there had been some where nearer. The decor not brilliant, dreadful green colour!!
A few steps from the center of Colmar, the hotel is a good choice for its price. Big clean room, wi-fi, helpful staff and parking (for extra money), that was all we were asking from the hotel. There was a slight smell in the room as if it was closed for months or if the window was never opened.
Everything in the hotel is explained very well in 3 lang.(eng,ger,fra). Good location. Good breakfast.(excluded). it is very good to have wifi in room. The drinks in the bar is not enough there are limited drinks. Exp: no diet cola. A/C was not working fully functionally ( we turned it in auto function but in the morning it was stopped and the room very cold)
The staff was very friendly and helpful. Even when asking for an extension for another night on short notice on abusy weekend, they solved this difficult challange. The rooms had all comfort needed and were very clean. As we had a room to the backside of the building, it was also very quiet. The water pressure in the shower was incredible and set a new benchmark. The breakfast was ok, but a wider choice (more fuit, cheese, perhaps scrambled eggs) would have made it even better.
The room was clean and confortable. There was free WI-FI in the rooms and the hotel staff helped with restaurant recomendation. The location is the best: less than 2 minutes walking from the old city center and little Venice district. The garage was very small and had to be paid separately (8 eur per night). There was no mini bar neither water in the rooms.
Pleasant staff, easy walk to "Little Venice",private parking (at extra cost), good breakfast buffet and well-appointed room and clean (but see below) We paid extra for a "Large superior room". It was tiny, you could hardly swing a cat! Description inaccurate
The proximity of the center and the facility to park the car. The hotel is confortable and the breakfast is very good. I reccomend this hotel
Excellent staff, great rooms. Fascinating old building. Delicious food.
Right in the city and with great architecture.
The history and the building itself. have a lovely courtyard for breakfast.
I did not like it. Impersonal staff, unclean bathroom, outrageous price I liked nothing
lovely comfortable room and staggeringly good restaurant both visually and "foodily"!! a bit pricey but worth it
The staff were most helpful and the hotel was perfectly located.
Great hotel in Colmar. It was cold for us in the evening and the heater doesnt seemed to warm us well. When we check with the reception, the young gentleman was quick to offer us a mobile heater which he brought to our room in mins. Good service! The room bar comes with coffee maker and simple coffee powder and tea! I enjoy making the coffee myself! Overall it's a nice experience. I will highly recommend this hotel. The only setback is the location. We are on backpack and it's quite a distance to walk to the train station. Nothing that I don't like.
Location is ok, u can get on foot to every part of colmar Nicest employees, better breakfast
secured parking garage
right next to the old city centre, huge free parking-lot one block away from the hotel distant and cold approach of staff. there is no airco, just a centrally regulated ventilationsystem which kept the room at a steady 23 C. even after complaining twice nothing changed. upon asking recommendation of vegetarian friendly places for dinner, the reception desk girl just mentioned the 2 tourist-traps around the corner. all in all we got a feeling of being done a favor for allowing us stay at their hotel.
We used this hotel as a stop over. The staff were very friendly and helpful and our room very comfortable.
location of hotel staff was not nice. this is the reason why french people get a bad rap. no one was rude to me, but no one was really freindly or seemed willing to help. got the feeling that they didn't like americans
Proximity to the old part of town and thier grand platz. Parking availability.
Extremely clean, and the bed was very comfortable. The espresso maker in the room was a nice bonus.
The hotels location is excellent and the underground parking was very useful. We were very impressed with all the staff, particularly Jonathan in reception who couldn't have been more helpful during our stay and when making the booking online.
Everything was good. The very good locating, charming atmosphere, comfortable rooms and pleasant stuff. The public parking is near the hotel (free of charge from 19-00 to 9-00). There is a good restaurant in the hotel.
Very little. We had an excellent dinner in the restaurant A very small room, and bed. The reception staff were most unhelpful, in fact positively aggresive when it came to our complaints and request for a larger room and bed at the same price. There are no inside public rooms, with the exception of the restaurant, and I think that a 4 star rating for this hotel is quite unjustified. We have stayed in hotels worldwide, and this is near the bottom of our list. We shall not return.
Bathroom was excellent, bedroom very good, only the pink, purple, lilac colourscheme was a little excessive. The dinner menu looked over priced, so we found a restaurant with terrace on the water.
WIFI is a joke. Also, there should be a way to get ice yourself.
A pretty place to stay. The room and bathroom were very nice. The hotel staff was efficient and friendly.
Excellent sitution in the old town of Colmar. Only room left when we made a booking was a suite, thus rather expensive, but worth it. Our family travels quite a lot and this was cleanest hotel we have seen.
Its individuality and setting, plus its excellent restaurant. The staff were very friendly aand welcoming.
A nice hotel in a beutyfull old house with a perfect central location
Wonderful location within walking distance of all the sights. Very romantic setting, and very helpful front desk staff. No negative points.
food was excellent room was quite small in comparison to price
The building is extremely beautiful and staff are nice and heplful. I enjoy my stay very much and sure I will go there again.
Everything was ok. The breakfast buffet could be a little bit better.
they was very clear and new
No problems. Kind staff. Lovely city (colmar) No
Staff. We took a room with three beds. One of the bed was old and uncomfortable. Springs of the mattress prodded my back whole night.
Friendly and helpful man on reception when we arrived. Good location just on the edge of town. Huge free car park opposite although very hard to find a place! Reasonable price Run down and tired looking, everything just about worked but was falling apart. OK for price but wouldn't choose again.
Room on the 4th floor at the back of the hotel was quiet. Very good value for money for a one night stay - 56 euros for a double/twin room. Mattress was not the greatest and the pillow was so thin it was almost non-existent.
Very well positioned, with convenient parking. Easy access from trunk roads and easy to find.
Central location as it was easy to find The room was small and the washing facilities was poor, breakfast was also poor, not enough selection or value for money.
Friendly staff Breakfast cost extra
Location is perfect and it was the cheapest hotel available. Free parking and wi-fi were a plus. This is an older hotel and the space was small. There was a lot of external noise from other rooms and from the street below.
very helpful and cheerful staff.
Though it is small, the room is clean and comfortable.
Close to the tourist areas and parking was nearby. No
Great location, nice restaurant, nice room, very helpful staff. Wi-fi our only problem - could not get good reception in the hotel.
Expensive when I look at the facilities. Sauna and Steambath are not ok. Swimming pool is small but nice.
We were very pleased with the size and cleanliness of the room. The staff was wonderful and the restaurant superb. We would stay here again any time. Our stay was too short
The staff was wonderful during our stay. Dinner in the restaurant was excellent.
The desk clerk was extremely helpful when we found ourselves in a difficult situation. She worked for over an hour to help us find a hotel outside of Paris when we discovered all Paris hotels were full.
This is a really downmarket place and should be avoided
The hotel is situated on a beautiful cobblestone street in the heart of cute, quaint Colmar. If you visit in December, you'll also be staying next to one of the Christmas markets! Breakfast is not included, so just something to be aware of.
Ideally located in the very centre of Colmar. Car park nearby. Room overlooking typical Alsatian street.
a littel aged
room had air conditioning. Central location in the old town
THE LOCATION, THE STAFF, THE BUILDING. wE ARE VERY SATISFIED WITH THIS HOTEL.
Central location in Colmar
Location was excellent for seeing Colmar. Hotel staff was less than helpful. Said that giving us directions from the train station was too hard so we were on our own.
The location in the middle of the town
It is well maintained for such and old hotel Mattress could be newer
Centrally located. Very nice rooms in typical style.
An old hotel in the centre of Colmar with lots of character. Our bedroom was comfortable, but quite noisy until early morning being right in the centre of the old town. We missed air conditioning as it was particularly hot whilst there - but what do you expect in a 400 year old hotel!
Very central - well sign-posted within the town The parking situation is difficult. The carpark is heavily used by tourists to the town so getting a space is very difficult. I'm also not sure that parking is free (as mentioned on website) as there are parking meters in the carpark.
The design inside the hotel and decoration is really looked after and they used quality products modern, well designed. I loved the breakfast, every morning fresh bread. Its a very nice personal manage hotel the people are very nice and friendly. its small but we loved it. Infect we did not have any complain, it was great. When I have to give a comment on this question the only one thing is, This hotel is not mend for smokers. the hotel is smoke free.you can only smoke outside.
Pascal and his wife were wonderful and were most helpful to make our stay in Colmar lovely. Quatorze is a new boutique hotel and everything is splendid- down to the teapot, the rainshower!, even the geranium smelling bath gel is divine. The room and artwork throughout hotel are fun and the quilts puffy and crisp. We stayed two more nights and look forward to returning- so centrally located to strolll to Colmar's museums and village.
Central position of this new hotel.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Well appointed modern rooms. Great bar and breakfast. The automatic lighting was a bit spooky but made us laugh. Using the toilet in the dark or having a light come on during the night when you stretched your legs.
Observe that there are some metal curtains hidden behind the transparant curtains that will shut the morning sun out if you don't feel like waking up at 0530.
All was OK. People was excellent; the room, new and clean. Situation was perfect, very very close to Colmar center.
The hotel reception was excellent and the room was well kept and clean.
vicintiy to old town, quiet place next to the park
Friendly staff; location excellent (and easy to find); breakfast also excellent. Hotel was very good. Much more than I expected.
location, comfort, room size, cleaness
10 minutes on food to city center,it's not so far. Friendly staff. I could parking under ground with booking in advance.
Excellente situation en plein centre ville avec plusieurs types de parking. Chambres conventionnelles mais agréables donnant sur un park. Très calme.
The hotel is very well located, at five minutes walk from the principal attractions of Colmar, in the middle of a park, which ensures that it is quite despite of the good location. If you drive a car make sure that you call the hotel in advance to ensure that you have room in the hotel parking which is not too big. Breakfast was very good, facilities at good standard level and the hotel staff friendly and efficient.
The location of this hotel is good to go to the old town and new town centre. Easyer to find the way to come back to the hotel from those busy area.
location - free wifi - staff
The staff were excellent. Helouise in particular was superb. No
After a great deal of difficulty finding the hotel, our room, on the ground floor with parking outside, was perfectly adequate for an overnight stay. It is convenient for the centre of Colmar and the main attractions. Parking at 8 euros was a little high as just outside the gates on the road it was free.Breakfast was ok.
Very good location, unobtrusive but helpful and friendly staff were able to advise on train times for days out. Very good breakfast and comfortable room. N/A
Very good facilities in excellent location Some attention needed in parking area
The hotel was very convenient for Colmar old town. The breakfast was good. The room while clean was not particularly attractive. There was no air conditioning or fan. Most of the staff were pleasant and helpful, but one evening receptionist dealt with several phone calls while we stood waiting for our room key. parking was quite difficult to access. I am glad we did not have a big car.
The location opposite a major clean city park was excellent and within comfortable walking distance to Old Colmar. The signage on the main street was difficult to see.
The hotel room and bathroom was plain, but had all accessories that we have requested. Breakfast was ok, however the self service area is too small and you have to wait in line to get your food and coffee. We have requested parking and we were directed to the underground parking area. You have to be a very skilled driver with a very small car to manage to park there.
This is an excellent hotel. The services were of high quality and the staff was always in a friendly mood. The breakfast was excellent and of good quality too with fresh orange juice. The hotel consisted of two buiIdings and got a room in the second building on ground floor with the door opening to the court yard, excellent. Though categorized three star hotel it is in the high end three star. I was in late October and it was well heated. Nothing in fact except for the underground car par entrance can damage your car. If you are not an experienced driver don't even try it. Ask for a slot on the open space. One booking.com reviewer says street parking is free overnight.
The hotel is very conveniently located on the edge of the old town. It's a few minutes to most of the central sites and pedestrian areas of Colmar. The rooms are comfortably furnished. The internet access was convenient and functioned well. The rooms on the ground floor across the main building are somewhat unconventional: the bed is right in front of the room doors (that open on the courtyard).
Conveniently located. Walking distance from historique centre. Not luxury accommodation but good value for money.
It's not so close to the sightseeing spots, however it is convenient for it. Espesially for the family with the little children there is the nice playground close to this hotel just between the popular area for sightseeing and the hotel. It is really good place for the family with the little children.
Good position not from from centre of old town. Easy access and easy to find. Friendly staff. The food (dinner) in the restaurant was absolutely tasteless. Either it was the chef's day off - or this restaurant should definitely be avoided.
The hotel is within walking distance from the train station and the city center. Staff was friendly. The attached restaurant has a limited menu, but the food is very good. Breakfast was nice also.
Relatively close to the attractions but the hotel is horrible. The room is small, the mattress is all deformed and the pillow is of poorer quality. We spent the night without sleep. The breakfast costs 8 euros and is poor. I don't understand how the people can get a good evaluation to this hotel.
