The location within easy drive of Beaune centre, the pleasant gardens and large free parking area Its proximity to the highway
the three cats who were there. It was also close to the town but there was no pavement for the first part of the walk so dangerous My room filled with cigarette smoke from other rooms even though I was in a no smoking room. When I asked the receptionist about this he just shrugged his shoulders. It was most unpleasant
The staff are very helpfull and food is very good. also free parking and internet The room are little small
Staff were extremely welcoming and explained everything clearly. Needed air conditioning in the rooms. Restaurant could have stayed open beyond 9pm.
We only stayed for one night on our way back home from vacation. The location of the hotel was very good; nearby the speedway and nearby the lovely historical centre of Beaune. We only had to leave at noon, so we had the chance to visit this little town.
A most helpful ,polite and efficient young man on reception desk .Pool was clean and good . Breakfast very good value .Ample parking area . Great walk into town .
Good location, near from the highway and the center of Beaune, but situated in a quite place.
Helpful staff at check in pool No elevator, 5 floor walk up No air conditioning No staff at all after 10pm No free internet in the room as advertised
the staff were very helpful and polite. the room was comfortable and very clean.
The receptionist in the evening was very pleasant and friendly. The breakfast was okay but no hot food or the opporturtunity to make your own. No restaurant open and only McDonald's nearby - pre-empted this b y stopping at the services and buying sandwiches just in case. There were no lights on on the stairs - had to switch on but was not pre-warned. Again no lift!
Very kind and welcoming staff. Rooms very spacious and clean. Also very quiet at night. Very nice breakfast in a very pleasant setup. Overall, an excellent experience. We will return....
All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and our rooms on both stays were very good, large and clean and comfortable
excellent service ,good location, calm surroundings
The room was excellent, great views over the golf course. The staff were friendly and helpful. It was in a good location just off the motorway and easy to find. There is very limited food in the evening. There us no chef so I would describe what was on offer as very basic - out if a packet rustled up by the staff. Breakfast was good though. I'd recommend booking elsewhere for dinner.
great place on the room, wonderfull large windows very nice equipment, good breakfast servis there is not resturant
Proximity to Beaune centre 10 or 15 minutes, exellent nearby restaurants reccomended and booked by the concierge, in particular the Michelin star .Hostelerie Levenois only a stroll away from the Golf Hotel, very good free internet access, secure parking. This was our 5th stay at the Golf Hotel and once again we were not dissapointed.
I was able to take my dogs with me
Calm environment and beautifull view on the golf
The very friendly and helpful approach and a lovely location no
beautiful surroundings very tranquil
We were made to feel very welcome on arrival. The staff were extremely helpful about local restaurants. The hotel's atmosphere is very relaxing.
Very well located to get around Burgundy, surrounded by all the best Pinot Noir vineyards of France, breakfast included simple but nice.
The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The hotel has a restful ambience which we loved so much. We'd love to stay here again.
The staff was extremly friendly and helpful
Lovely surroundings, perfectly clean and well maintained and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
The staff spoke English and were very helpful and friendly. The hotel has lots of character. The mattress on the bed in the double room was very hard and uncomfortable. There was a slightly unpleasant odour in the twin room. The hotel is on a main road so it is advisable to ask for rooms on the garden side.
The staff were very welcoming and very helpful in regards to local information. eg restaurants, tourist information The hotel did not have air-conditioning in our room, however, this did not impact on our stay.
The warm welcome from the owners. Very generous breakfasts and within easy walking distance of Beaune town centre. Also very easy to find from motorway.
The staff couldn't do enough to make ouf stay any better. The parking was vwry good. None
The rooms are of medium comfort and the hotel is not so close to downtown, so if you have a car or do not mind to walk around 15 min to get there, that is fine.
We only stayed overnight as apassthrough from Paris to Geneva
The staff are very friendly, very neat room, nice smell in the room, centre of Beaune is only a good walk away, hotel is opposite Aldi warehouse which is convenient. It was a pitty there wasn't airconditioning because the room was very hot hence the temperature (29°C) and also we would've liked the room with the blue light under the bed (mind you, the hostess did great effort to get us another room close to what we liked).
Very welcoming hosts, easy to find and close to old town
Friendly staff Free WiFi was advertised although in my room the service was erratic and the signal poor. However, it was available closer to the reception desk
Excellent location for visit Beaune with a car; warm welcome from the hosts and a perfect breakfast to start a day! traffic noise
Friendliness of the owners - nothing was too much trouble. Our double bedroom stank of stale smoke - the children's twin room however was clean.
Good position between autoroute and Beaune city centre Friendliness of owners Size of bedroom at this price. The bedroom was too warm for us, even with the window open - woke up early and thirsty. Bedside lamps do not provide enough light to read by - shades are opaque.
Location, surroundings and external appearance moldy bathroom (flies, moisture, broken tile and no water in the bathtube). Room not so clean either ... No air conditioning. Restaurant: low/med standard. No sommelier service (astonishing for such an otherwise large choice of wine.) Poor service: dining and breakfast (Dining: no desert unless order provided at the begining - information received after the main course- Breakfast: coffee after 15mn, bread after 30 mn, cutlery after 1h and cups and glasses after 1h15). During breakfast time, also departure time, staff uses elevator (customers have to wait).Food: very inequal (dining: 3 starters tested 1: good, 1:average, 1 poor, 2 main courses tested:1 ok, 1 poor, no desert. Price: high . Breakfast: poor quality and choice. Price: very high.
Superb setting, wonderful buildings, great food and wine. Nothing
Ambiance, Style, Accommodation Staff distracted by a large wedding: Impersonal service in dining room; late arrival of breakfast; Failure of bath plug;
The food and rooms! We could not have a shower as it was broken. We had to have a bath!!!!!
The building, grounds and peace and quiet bed was not very comfortable, choice at breakfast was very poor, dinner and wine prices too high for the quality.
Loved the historic feel Wait staff could be more attentive.
Great position in wine country, though not a particularly nice village. Impressive chateau and lovely rooms Dinner was very disappointing with poor service and very ordinary steaks
Very restful environment. Room was very comfortable The meals were very expensive and marginal in terms of value. Breakfast at €22 was a lot. Tea/coffee making facilities in the room would have been nice. Room was quite noisy from people upstairs - not their fault just very noisy plumbing
The outside of the hotel is stunning, beautiful grounds, which makes the experience special. The staff are welcoming and gave us a room upgrade. The rooms felt a bit dingy and not perfectly clean, which you would expect at a four star hotel.
We thought that it was the worst value for money of any hotel we have stayed in. We paid for a DeLUXE room and are put at the top floor with no lift and needed 60 stairs to reach the room. The aircon did not work and have one small dormer window. The room was sparley furnished and old and tired. We would never recommend this place to anyone.
The hotel is excellently located in the middle of the vineyards between Dijon and Beaune. The Hotel de Vougeot was spotlessly clean, the proprietor and his staff were exceptionally helpful, and breakfast was extremely boutiful.
Hospitality of the staff Toilets in the room smell.
The hotel was very pleasant with great character and the staff were very helpful and courteous.
good location for us, the host was most helpful.
The welcome and enthusisam shown by the owner/manager. Its location in the vinyard. The peaceful ambiance in the village. An excellent breakfast. Good value hotel worthy more than a two star establishment. The owner makes good wine!
Helpful and friendly staff, beautiful setting, free parking and wi-fi Internet (a plus as not advertised).
Quiet, friendly, lovely walks in vineyards, professional and relaxed host
the view over the cote d'or from our hotel room, the breakfast, the size of the rooms and the comfortable beds, the fact that you can rent bikes at the hotel (good ones; 18 euro per day).
Very nice hotel in wanderful sorraunding, Big room with comfort bad, very efficient and helpfull staff No complains
Very friendly staff, lovely country-style rooms
conveniently situated - staff very friendly and helpful - facilities good especially coffee making in the room!! a rare treat on the continent
Personel simpatetic Bathroom door damaged, could be fixed
excellent breakfast; easy access to car; non-smoking areas; cheerful welcome; restaurant on-site; coffee-making facilities in room
Food was good in hotel rest. Carpets old and worn
food was good, very friendly and there is bowling alley with pool tables and a bar just around the corner. there was'nt a curtain at the ground level window which was a bit off putting.
Clean room and convenience to city Poor food for evening and lack of suitable alternatives.. buffet more suitable for evening as well as morning meals which were good
easy to find, car parking, good place to visit the aera ( Cote d´or) .A little bit far from the historical center, need to go by car. nothing
Used as a stopover on route to Alps - hotel very convenient location just off main road and very easy to find.
It was easy access to the town. Easy to locate the hotel. Ample parking space. Rooms were small but adequate and the linen was very clean
The warm welcome, dog-friendliness, pretty garden and lovely staff. No, it was prefect for my needs.
Excellent breakfast. Friendly people, and good room.
Pleasant atmosphere, charming decor, pleasant staff. My husband got an electric shock from a badly wired plug in our room. Broken light bulb under the bed.
Myself and my wife spend 1 week every year in a different location of France in and around wine harvesting time. We used Le Home to break our journey to Provence. It was an excellent choice, very near to the autoroute and the centre of the town. We had been to Burgundy before but not Beaune. We are very pleased with our choice and would use the hotel again as a base fro a holiday in Burgundy the home of the worlds greatest wines. We thought it was inappropriate to charge extra for orange juice
Extremely helpful staff - found restaurants, made bookings on our behalf
Very welcoming staff who very keen to showcase their lovely city. Quaint room with carpet on the walls and ceiling. Easy walking distance to main tourist area, lovely garden with table & chairs at front of property. We stayed an extra day than planned- great place to stay! Would have preferred the shower rose to be attached higher on the wall. Internet access was only possible either outside or on the window sill.
Friendly staff Bad value for money, poor breakfast.
Very friendly hosts. Beautiful home and very pretty room. We stayed in the back house and found it very charming. It was built in the 18th century and was beautifully decorated. The hotel is on a rather busy road, but is set back off the road so it was still quiet.
We liked the friendly staff who spoke English. The hotel was charming and quaint. It was nice to have free parking.
Charming house , almost like staying in a pleasant home rather than a hotel.
It's proximity to the historic centre of the city of Beaune, and easy access to the motorway.
Easy to find, friendly staff, informal, fantastic bed, very telaxing The air con was imposssible to control, we ended up opening the windows!
Good location, clean, quiet.
The accomadations were nice and the location was very good The price was too high, particularly without breakfast included.
The hotel is well placed, you can walk to the city center. Breakfast is expensive.
convenience to the City and the motorway dated bathroom and smell of smoke
hotel was suitably locat6ed to the old town centre where we found a magnificent little restaurant that served local fare. Thoroughly enjoyed the walk and went6 straight to sleep upon returning to the hotel
We found the hotel very good indeed for our one night stay en route to UK. The room was comfortable and the staff very friendly. It was also really near the centre and the walk to the centre was very picturesque. The facilities (swimming pool, bar and restaurant) looked very good and made me think that the next time we would prefer to stay a little longer
Well placed near the city centre. Good parking facilities. We liked the sitting room area of the booking. Building and decoration a little past its best.
Location close to Beaune historic centre, nice large pool, friendly and professional staff, not overcrowded. Main lobby had a bad smell. Carpet in bedroom was not fantastic.
Reception and checking out was efficient and friendly. My stay was enjoyable; the staff were keen to help and my two-day stay was relaxing. The air-conditioning in my room was noisy.
We loved the location, people, and ease of hospitality Next time we would ask for a room facing the valley
I loved the relaxed atmosphere at Les Roches and the beautiful views from the terrace.
A truly beautiful house/mini-chateau, beautifully cared for by Marco and Tobias - truly wonderful hosts! The Enchanted Room was truly that with the most comfortable bed on our travels. Wonderful views and located in a sweet village, handy for the wine areas and Beaune. The public areas were so comfortable and relaxing too. Tobias and Marco were a great source of local information - nothing was too much trouble. Great to see that there was no TV in the bedroom - such a brave but oh so right decision! Although we didn't experience it ourselves, we believe their dinner nights are fabulous! Can't recommend this highly enough! Bathrobes please! Even if it only in the deluxe rooms!
very charming place. Highly recommended.
Stylish and quirky with a friendly atmosphere. Excellent dinner and wonderful countryside location. None
A most relaxing and comfortable hotel. Fire places were great and common areas and bedrooms really well decorated and quiet. Staff friendly. Good location to many little village and Beaune by car. Our bedroom and bathroom floors had grit on them and needed to be cleaned better. For such a lovely place with wonderful appointments we felt the girls at the front desk a little unprofessional in manner and dress
The owners are very nice hosts. We only had a cheese diner on Sunday night but it was super. Nice location and downstair rooms like library and restaurant are lovely. Our hotelroom was not very clean and really needs some upgrading, just like the bathroom. 'The property is more like a mansion than a chateau. It's a pity that the couches in the library are full of dog hair, so it can't be used by guests.
The overall atmosphere, unobtrusive kindness and attention of both owners, very personalized service. Positive feeling which is very rare and difficult to describe was always present at Les Roches. Absolutely quiet surroundings, nice view, large garden - what can you wish more?
The hotel is in a very quit and peaceful location. The hotel is small and cosy.
Absolutely beautiful building and surrounds, luxurious rooms, delicious food and friendly hosts. What more could we want, hope to return soon!
Ideal location for a stop over on drive South. 20 min walk to Beaune centre which is lovely, should not be missed. Only real downside was the price of the breakfast. Not at all worth 14Euros. We had breakfast in the room which was even more of a rip off as you don't get seconds!! Very poor selection in room service trays!
:Pool. EXcellent Restaurant Room a little basic
overnight stop only 5 pounds for 1 pint of lager-not on
I liked the facilities for the children ie books and x-box and it was clean and refreshing and modern. Nothing
th hotel was of a very high standard, good facilities, friendly staff.
Comfortable, modern, good facilities, nice diningroom but casual. It was great for a stopover for us.....may be a bit outside the town for walking to sites. It is a family hotel....but a bit noisy( children are) for an older couple.
Cleanliness, size of room Bathroom was a large cupboard. Coffee in lounge was worst we had in france
1) Bathroom hand-basin : water did not flow out properly 2) breakfast : quality of scrambled eggs was simply disgusting - like mushed potatoes.
This is an excellent hotel if you want to break the journey from Italy to the channel. It is conveniently located just off the motorway, is clean and comfortable and also has an excellent restaurant, plus a range of breakfast options.
New facilities, pool
Room, service, reception service, restaurant, location Nothing
the atmospher of tye hotel and the excellent service from knowledgeable and friendly staff
Good location, close to the old city and the Hospices Noisy in the morning.
Nice hotel although rooms are on the smaller side. Staff excellent and friendly with serviceable English. Very good breakfast and excellent restaurant for dinner. Good access to everything. Would gladly stay here again.
nice historic building but with new bathrooms, very friendly staff at the reception
The Staff are first class- old fashioned courtesy and charm, which describes the hotel overall
Charming traditional hotel in centre of Beaune with excellent restaurant. Big airy room. Great bar with leather sofas and good Cigars. Breakfast was a bit minimal for the price. Buffet but lots of things missing by the time we got there about 9.30am
THe location - easy walk into old town and wineries. We had reserved a parking place - so that was good. Rooms are small but comfortable -new bathrooms were very good. Staff was friendly and helpful. Newspapers in the lobby were great to have. Service in the bar/lounge was "spotty" - Not being allowed to extend check out by one hour on Saturday even though hotel was not full on Friday night. We had wanted to go pick up our purchases and re pack before loading car - but young man at front desk friday evening said a flat no - Left us with a negative feeling about the place. So we then went out for breakfast - and lunch the next day as well as dinner Friday evening.
The friendly staff and central position . The food was excellent at dinner as well as breakfast and nicely presented. The one and only lift, if someone did'nt shut the door we had to walk up or down and as we were on the top floor, not good.
Excellent hotel. Booking confirmation process was very efficient. Staff at hotel were exceptionally friendly and efficient. The hotel meals and the service were excellent.
Only the beauty of the location and the setting of the hotel itslef, which is lovely. Disappointing, heartless but beautiful place. Has much potential but appears to be essentially unloved by its owners -- lots of new but cheap things -- corner cutting -- also, no air conditioning so we roasted. Out of a 17 night stay in wine country this was out least favorite place to stay.
The relaxing atmosphere and the swimming pool was very welcome after a very long drive from England.
Very clean, very comfortable!
situation wiFi inutilisable
The location, tranquility and comfort. On previous visits to his hotel we have been very pleased with the food in the restaurant but on this occasion we were dissapointed with dinner.
The room was charming and very clean. The setting is unbelievable - located in the tiny vineyard surrounded town of Vougeot.
Lovely setting in the village next to small river. Ideally placed for sampling the wines of the area. Staff very helpful. Lack of air conditioning in the hotel, there was a fan available but rooms very hot.
The location was excellent next to a river running beside the hotel with a mill wheel, very relaxing.
Lovely setting, tasteful and comfortable room, and excellent restaurant. I would stay here again and would recommend to others.
Lovely Hotel - can not fault it. Dissappointed the restaurant was closed but the staff directed us to a superb alternative
A very nice hotel which is nicely decorated, beautiful speacious rooms, a pleasant athmosphere, and a gourmet restaurant. The situation is also ideal, close to the main ring road and old outer town wall, but within walking distance to the town centre with shops and restaurants.
This is a great hotel and one we will return to! The food was amazing and the service faultless. The hotel itself was wonderful with a courtyard garden and ideal location in Beaune.
The cosy lobby bar. The wi fi connection was problematic
Excellent hotel very well located for visiting the old town. Staff were helpful, rooms were very nice. Several guests had dogs, including in areas with food, and we could hear one barking frequently from our bedroom.
Staff very helpful booking tours. Friendly and gave great suggestions for tours/dinner/shopping. The grounds/patio area well manicured and inviting. Inviting for a picnic or glass of wine after a busy day touring..The rooms are tired/no ammenities(zero),no electric tea pot, pillows like rocks, decor needs a facelift! Breakfast overpriced, nothing included in rate. We paid 219 euros for 3.Had the room that could sleep 4 (loft with stair case-steep and dangerous.) Telephone located in loft, had to run up and steep stairs to answer. Go figure on that set up? No Ammenites/rock like pillows, tired bedding/ worn out furiniture and linens in Bedrooms. Lobby area was inviting and cozy.
the staff was always available and helpful. i hated my bed. it was not a comfotable bed. for the price i paid for the stay the beds should have been better quality. i just stayed at a best western in riquewhir for a fraction of the price and their beds were more comfortable. because of the poor bed im not sure i would stay again.
We stayed in a duplex suite which was perfect for our family of four. The hotel was situated in a great position for the centre Beaune. Although we had an excellent meal in the restaurant one night, it would have been better if there had been an alternative, simpler restaurant on site as the other nights we had to eat in Beaune. The underground parking was good, but seemed very expensive.
Very comfortable bar with a fire place. Luxery place with veryfriendly personal. Breakfast outstanding. Good restaurant. Good bed. Expensive drinks
always very good service.love the candles in the evening ,so romantic.
Proximity to key points of interest. Price for breakfast.
Simply put, it was gorgeous
the decor and position were excellent and the signing very good. the food was good the food was overpriced. the bedrooms were apart from the accommodation and as it was raining was inconvenient.
size of room and environment food was set menu and resturant not open at all times and area is remote so not much choice with meals
nothing! we arrived to find no one around and our key in our door and a damp dark smelly room and no welcome of any sort. breakfast was a joke fro 10euros adn we checked out immediately after and found a divine place for similar money and 10 times nicer - it is ridiculous that the cheaper rooms are so dark and damp and no air con or fans see above - the actual chateau is amazing but the cheaper accommodation is really not good
