The staff were very helpful. The hotel borders the red light district, and subsequently attracts colourful people. I would not walk there at night.
decent hotel with friendly hotel staff and nice location
Hotel Phoenicia was very clean and good hotel.
Rooms were very clean, laminate flooring, free wifi, great location if you are arriving by train, directly across from the train station. Very basic services (no restaurant, bar, etc.) Shower is not intended for people over 6 ft tall, water went over the shower enclosure and got the bathroom pretty wet.
Excellent value, great if you need to be close to the train. Clean and efficient. Friendly staff.
The staff was so helpful with assisting us in making arrangements for concerts, recommendations for dining out and even providing space and dishes for an impromptu wine and cheese party. Breakfast was a little pricey and not a great value for the money.
Good location, 100 m from train station, not so far from metro station. Easy to reach an airport by bus (last stop for airport bus is near by train station). Clean room. Friendly personnel.
The location of the hotel was excellent, close to the metro and airport bus stop and only 15 minutes walk from the main shopping/restaurant areas. Hairdryer was broken.
The people who worked there were excellent, spoke good English, helpful. On site breakfast was nice.
Welcoming staff. Comfortable beds. Good shower. Close to railway station and easy to walk to town centre. 24 hour reception. Room 201 was cold.
Helpful staff Poor location
I like a quiet hotel district and friendly staff. No there was not anything I did not like.
I got what I paid for.. This is all I can say.. The staff should be avilable when needed, for me I don`t know much about France
Quiet surrounding, nice place to relax during a trip. Poor offer for breakfast
Practical and well priced for a one night stop over
Basic, chosen because rest of Toulouse area fully booked due to particular event. In middle of trading estate but perfectly adequate for one night stopover. 24 hour automatic check-in a real advantage as journey from airport took much longer than expected.
location difficult to find and room smelt of stale cigarettes
Rooms and location
Convenience for the opera and for the Capitole
the rooms were very comfortable and clean. the location was excellent too there was not the option of food and the bar was hugely over priced. as a result we did not stay in the bar, we ate out every night
Location very central, room was excellent, staff friendly n/A
location was excellent. Bed was exceptionnally comfortable. Internet in the room was free. Apples on the pillow are much better than chocolate.
The hotel location was excellent, being close to a large amount of restaurants and shops, made exploring easy and enjoyable. The welcome at reception was poor and unfriendly. The corridors leading to the rooms were dark and dingy.
the location and the factwe didn't had to move out before 3pm the day of our departure the breakfast ( to expensive)
location and cleanliness There was nowhere to put toiletries around the sink area or the bathroom
nicely appointed rooms, great design, excellent location , good staff room too small
Central location, aspect overlooking river, staff responsive when asked. safety a concern, eg no safety features to bath - no hand rail or anti slip mat/surface, poor corridor/stair lighting and access to breakfast room. Difficult for guests with less mobility. Communication to guests could be more proactive - one has to find out, rather than have services offered.
When my husband was ill the receptionist was extremely helpful, contacting a doctor etc and allowing us to stay in our room late on the day we were leaving. The hotel is difficult to get to because of the narrow streets and one-way system in Toulouse.
Great location on river & friendly helpful staff bathtub/shower challenging for older person
Clean, comfortable rooms, very helpful staff. Great location and was quiet even though on a main street. Had the best meal of our trip in their restaurant.
It was warm, cosy and charming, I`ll definitely be back!
We liked the atmosphere produced by the welcome of the staff, the decoration, the location (so close to the centre of the city), the view and the simple comfort of the room itself The bistro opposite is frequented by the young generation, who are not prone to going to bed early and on hot night with windows open they tend to keep one awake until closing time at 0200 hrs. Parking is naturally at a premium and a bit of a walk away.
Therre too short a time to appreciate
Marie was fantastic in answering all my questions. The hotel is very charmous Car parking - I have been in hotel were the hotel has an agreement with the car parking so the final charge is less
The location was great with rooms overlooking the garonne and just above a great brasserie. not really
The hotel was very comfortable and stylish.
Quiet room, very helpful staff, excellent breakfast
Nice personnel, very quiet rooms
Welcoming freindly staff with excellent language skills. The hotel is located in a quite town with local amenities.
There is a large underground carpark. The staff were very attentive. Breakfast was good. All clean and tidy. Has the 3 main things: 1 good comfortable bed, 2 very quiet despite near airport location 3. Good shower/bath. Excellent value for money. Nearby restaurants so no problems with evening meals. Bar was expensive. Wifi did not appear to work.
It was merely somewhere to stay for the night, before going on a touring holiday The directions to it were a joke - street names - from the Airport there were no street signs
Everybody was nice and keen to do the best for us no complaint
It is very close to the Airbus facilities. Wifi is included in the price.
- Very positive price/performance ratio - Very nice, friendly and helpful stuff at the hotel Nothing really bad.
Close to Airbus Factory
Hotel's location gives the impression you are in a French village even though you are only a few kilometres from the airport. Staff were attentive and spoke English as needed.
very welcoming staff and we were offered a free cup of coffee in the morning when we left early. The hotel was nowhere near the airport despite the fact it was called 'The Airport Hotel'. We would not have been able to find it if we didn't have satnav.
Staff trying to do their best.. but not so easy entry door not open during most of the day. I had to stay in the city during 2 hours before entering the hotel. There is a phone number but cannot be reached when i called.
I staied at the hotel 5 nights. In general everything was fine: kind stuff, the room was not posh but clean. However I missed a good table in the room, since I had to work a lot on my laptop. Also before taking shower I had to wait approximately 15 minutes before water became hot enough. But maybe this is normal for French houses... On my mind this hotel is good for holiday traveling but not for business trip.
Location is good, staff helpful Not clean
Quiet and clean. A bit out of the way and expensive for what it is. Much better value else where. Having to pay extra for internet acess whe I had paid 150 euro for room only was not good enough for me.
Convenient location for the airport and for business meetings. Close to Airbus and surrounding industry.
No food available when we arrived at 10 pm after delayed flight.
The amability of the staff not applicable
The reception staff were superb. They could not do enough to help us enjoy our stay. They offered recommendations on places to visit and for restaurants. The apartment (for 4) had a comfortable double bed and the cooking facilities were fine.
The fact that it had a secure parking available Corridors smelled of cigarrette. The fact that the reception desk was closed from midday till three in the afternoon. The bed was not a real bed but a futon.
The Location The rooms were advertised as being suitable for 4 people, they are not! they are so small we had to have one each.
The location is closer to the metro and the center of this city.
Convenience of city centre location with parking, but easy access to out of city routes. Rather basic cooking facilities. Bathroom clean but a little shabby. Very little storage space for clothes.
The effectiveness and courtesy of staff. Position (ie proximity to city area services), and accessibility of in-house facilities (ie garage) Wi-fi code and personal appliances (eg hair-dryer) only available on demand at reception...but reception closing at 21:00 and opening at 08:00!!
The location was great, parking was convenient and the room was well equipped to self cater. The staff were also friendly and helpful. Also, parking is still available after checkout. The parking is set up for small(ish) cars or people with excellent parking skills. We ended up with twin beds but that was my mistake.
near to the city centre and useful parking facilities I felt the parking was little expensive
clean, quiet, friendly, location near the centre
- the location near the trains station...not a very clean area.
Very pleasant staff, large room, bathroom much roomier and nicer than the norm. quiet and restful. close to the train station so a plus if that's the mode of travel, and not too far of a walk to city's attractions
close to trainstation really didn't like the bed we slept in - the matrass was totally warn out and it was so hot - no aircon.
Excellent and convenient location. Good rate. The corridor was pretty dark.
Good value for money, staff very friendly, everything very clean. The location is a little unfortunate near a strip club and sex shop but if one is not squeamish about such things then so what. I would certainly stay there again.
Near to the station Noisy road outside
Very convenient both for station and close to centre of the town. The male receptionist was extremely helpful, giving us a town plan and circling the areas best for dining out plus telling us the nicer shopping areas and squares for having a drink. Weather in early November was still nice enough to sit outside. All good :)
The location, the room overall. Nothing.
nice and freindly staff. very close to the center (10 min. walk). not a nice neighbourhood at night. room very small.
Very convenient spot, private parking; extremely helpful staff, walking distance to the centre of the city, very good price
The location is very convenient. Although not in one of the best areas of Toulouse, it appeared quite safe. The hotel is located very close to two metro stations, therefore transport is very easy. The room was nice, very spacious, clean. The staff was very courteous and helpful. They help you with all issues very promptly. Internet access was free and of good quality. I was there few days ago in July, the time when it is extremely hot in Toulouse. Although thankfully there was a fan (which wasn't the case in many other hotels in France, or even in Paris), it was still too hot. I would have liked air conditioner :)
staff friendly and helpful very basic; furniture partially worn; staff French speaking only
I never knew how long I needed a room but the hotel was able to meet all the changes I made with great courtesy and understanding. The bedroom lacked a comfortable chair for use when one had several hours to spend there.
Inexpensive and close to subway station. The staff was friendly and helpful.
Very good staff, excelent location.. We liked everything.
Very centrally located, in an unassuming building that seems to have been entirely renovated inside. I went for the larger size room and found it spacious and well-appointed, with free wi-fi and air conditioning (if needed) while still clocking in at under 100 euros. The wi-fi performed superbly and the staff was warm and helpful. I did not spring for the 9 euro breakfast, but ate at a cafe on the boulevard around the corner. That said, the plaza (Place Nicholas Bachelier) immediately below is charming and boasts a number of very good restaurants. I particularly recommend "La Préférence." No. Well yes: the flimsy plastic cups in the bathroom, but they seem to be omni-present these days, in Europe and America.
Very comfortable bed Very small hotel, unpractical shower, old - used towels
staff were very helpful, room was well appointed & clean. good, quiet location. bath/shower could use a screen or curtain
The friendliness of the staff, The location in central Toulouse.
The room was very clean There was a extremely strong scent throughout the hotel which gave me a headache & nausea (possibly used to mask an odor???)
The staff at St Claire could not have been more obliging. The room was spotless and it was perfect for our need, which was a quick, functional trip to Toulouse.
Very good;excellent welcome. A pity the stain on the carpet hadn't been dealt with.
I liked the kindness of people working there. bHotel is not a luxury one but is cosy and clean. No.
conveniently located hotel, comfortable room the closet in the room was too tiny, and the desk was not very convenient to work with laptop. But this was not so crucial
A pleasant surprise, well sited for a city break
staff very polite and friendly, they did speak english so this was great for getting directions in the city the noise from a club near by was very loud. saturday night i didnt get to sleep till 5.30am. I did complain and the staff had got the police out to the club. I think hotel are working on this complaint as they went to the mayor to get help.
Perfect hotel, new, clean, good location.
The location was not far from the city center and was close to a subway station. This hotel is listed as 3 stars, but is actually 2 starts. There is a sign at the front of the hotel where the 3rd star has been removed, indicating that is has been downgraded. The room was terrible. There was a lamp without any shade (a bare lightbulb). Another light by the bed was broken and hanging by a wire. The shower was handheld and attached to the bathtub faucet, but was not long enough to use while standing. The shower hose was damaged. Overall, very disappointed with this hotel.
Helpful staff ,plasent envirment. For a new hotel I was surprised that the drainadge could be heard in the room everytime someone above used the shower or toilet
very good wifi internet connection.clean room.close to super market also center of city. All staffs were very kind.
The room is clean and modernized. The staff is quite kind. The hotel is located near the Jean Journe. The room is too small...It is a bit noisy during daytime because of the construction work. And it is also noisy at night (not whole night). Is this because there is a pub behind the hotel? I don't know.
Reception staff very friendly and helpfull. The breakfast and evening meals were better than you would expect from a hotel at that price. The bedroom should have been a non smoking room and the slight smell was not very pleasant. An extra pillow in the bedroom would have been appreciated.
Close to the place of work Cleaning is below the minimum necessary
Good location, very good restaurant and the rooms were excellant. Easy parking and the views from the first floor were superb.
We arrived at night after the restaurant had closed and were hungry and a little cold. The young man at the reception desk went out of his way to find us some refreshment which we enjoyed greatly. The hotel was warm and welcoming and the breakfast just wonderful. We would stay again without hesitation No
Nice breakfast, pleasant receptionist, comfortable room, quiet, good value for money Air-conditioning a bit noisy in room; it was Sunday, and there was no food of any description, anywhere, except a take-away pizza!
Clean rooms, towels changed & beds made daily. Good resturant. A long way from town, taxis not easy to get back on an evening. Buses stop early evening. Beds very low & narrow, not very comfortable. Strange padded wall behind the bed. No tea & coffee making facilities.
Not so far from the university. No access to internet
Price, service Poor room style, no explanation that 'residence' means an other building
Low cost Smell in room
Very comfortable hotel - good facilities
the decor was charming and the view from our room (of St Sernin) could not be bettered the cramped parking and narrow entrance stairs - altho we coped with both and neither would put us off booking again
Renovated with a style
Excellent breakfast and location, very helpful staff Unattractive reception area and dinggy hallways
The rooms are clean and nicely furnished. By french standards they are somewhat large also. The front desk were also very helpful and welcoming. The shower did spray onto the bathroom floor a little, but it wasn't really a problem.
Great locaiton, reasonably priced, trendy decor, great breakfast room, balcony a bonus, markets right outside the door on Sundays. Although Wifi was free, we could not connect on our notebook & staff couldn't solve the issue. No elevator to the first level (reception) entailed taking luggage up steep stairs.
Location, quietness. No lift from ground floor.
The location: in the centre of town with all shops, restaurants etc at walking distance. The staff has a personal approach.
Upgraded to best room with balcony overlooking the Basilica St Sernin square and thoroughly enjoyed the location, close to center of Toulouse yet on a quiet residential/commercial area. Entrance is a little intimidating as a modest side street walk up to second floor reception - two star but with charm and service. Good value.
