10.0 Excellent
Pros: Cathy & Maurice were very friendly and helpful, and looked after our needs exceedingly well. The bed in Les Glenans was extremely comfortable, and we slept well every night. Since we live in the countryside ourselves, we enjoyed the peaceful setting of the property, which was very close to the beautiful town of Ste Anne d'Auray and the Basilica. Cathy has a great sense of humour, and we were able to communicate well by also using sign-language and alternative words despite my elementary 'schoolboy French'. There were no misunderstandings since Cathy and Maurice took time with us to explain things. The breakfast each morning was very generous, and included some lovely Breton specialities which Cathy makes on a regular basis. Helpful directions were provided to enable us to experience the local area, too. We loved staying at Le Clos de Kerhouil !
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely couple running this beautiful B&B home which is decorated with superb taste. Made us feel very welcome and booked us a beautiful seaside restaurant in Aury. Cathy's breakfast was magnificent. Dining table was set up with so much breakfast to chose from, we didn't want for anything. Highly recommend this place
Cons: Not a thing, could not fault anything.

9.5 Excellent
Pros: Our hosts, Kate and Maurice, were so accommodating and great fun. We were very comfortable and the breakfasts were excellent! Every day the breakfast was different. Kate also made cakes and yoghurts. We had jams, fruit, prunes, different breads and lovely coffee. Nothing was too much trouble and our hosts were very attentive to our needs. Also, the property was decorated to a very high standard and located perfectly for our needs. Our bed was very comfortable and the room of a good size.
Cons: A little more headroom in the bathroom would be a benefit. It is easy to hit your head on the ceiling.

Pros: Nice room, with electric shutters, very modern, clean and quiet. Fully furnished with filter coffee-maker (coffee bags supplied), stove and microwave (but no oven), even bathrobes. Secure underground parking. Only about a kilometre from the very pretty St Goustain area, with its waterfront cafes.
Cons: We struggled a bit to understand how to find the parking garage (which is behind and underneath the building, accessed by driving around the block) but the receptionist kindly drew a map to describe the location for us. No laundry facilities available.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Clean, modern accommodation with free parking near to the centre of Auray. Great to have towelling robes and slippers for added comfort. We only stayed overnight it would have been better to have stayed longer so that we could of made use of the facilities on hand, as Auray is a lovely town with plenty of restaurants and bars.
Cons: Husband didn't like the optional breakfast price of 9 euros, per person, for continental breakfast. He said it wasn't worth the money but it saved us time looking elsewhere, as we had to continue on to our next destination.

Cons: The kitchen was poorly equipped with basic cutlery and minimal cooking implements. No sharp knives, wive glasses etc. Only dining space for two.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: very modern well appointed apartment with a good location to explore Auray
Cons: We didn't use the facilities, bar etc as the site is designed for older residents and we were travelling with young children,
Domaine de la Ferrière - Buléon - Building

Overview Reviews
Located in Buleon, Domaine de la Ferrière is within a 15-minute drive of Church Saint-Sauveur and Office de tourisme de Locmine. Free self parking is available onsite.
4.5 Okay
Cons: Facility was closed when we arrived. Restaurant was closed. The facility had a bad odour. We checked out after only one night.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: We really like the way the owner responded when we found out that his restaurant was unexpectedly closed for the time being. We were tired, hungry and in need of a meal which we had booked in advance but due to circumstance they were unable to feed us but made sure that we were taken into town and cared for. We think this hotel has great potential and we wish Yves and his team the very best of luck with their plans. It's extremely quiet and surrounded by lovely grounds. Around 15 minutes by car from Josselin. Wonderful breakfast.
Cons: Bathroom towels were a little thin but this is a detail. This independently owned hotel is so much better than many other independent old style French hotels.

Excellent walk in shower, tea and coffee facilities and bottled water in the room too. Would stay again when in Auray.
Cons: Minor niggles really, the breakfast we found expensive, although it was not as expensive as some hotels. They could do with another coffee machine as there was always a queue to use it and many people struggled to operate it (so tuition would help time taken to produce a cup!). Cons: 30 mins walk to centre
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great little apartment although a little small but well equipped. Small but useful gym which I used every other morning and thankfully alone as more than three people in their would have been somewhat overcrowded. However, would consider staying again. Staff really friendly and helpful.
Cons: Nothing really perhaps a little out of Town. On a good public transport route but no buses after 20.05 to get home!

Cons: I think the breakfast (for the price) needed a bit of variation, bit more choice.
6.8 Good
Pros: The room & hotel were clean & bright
Cons: The towels were VERY thin & we would have preferred softer bedding as it ‘crackled ‘ every time one of us turned over giving us a disturbed sleep.

Pros: Big comfy bed and big clean shower.
Cons: Some noise from nearby traffic.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The Hotel does not have a restaurant but the breakfast was very good. To eat in the evening it is necessary to leave the Hotel or have a limited menu delivered to your room. I think this could be made clearer on the website. The Hotel is good value for money and is in a convenient location just off the motorway. Easy access to Port Gaustain via the motorway or through Auray

Pros: Excellently situated just beside the old town facing and with a view to the old city wall and a watch tower. The hotel was decorated with style and caution and pretty like a dolls' house. Pros: Location, parking, breakfast, room size, general good feel to the hotel

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful private garden and Madam who welcomed us and served our breakfast. The walk to the harbour was pleasurable and passed several nice restaurants.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay. The room was delightful, with a lovely little private terrace, very comfortable bed, and nice furnishings, and even tea-making facilities (unusual in France). We both enjoyed our treatments in the spa. The reception rooms were very well appointed, lots of wood and relaxing areas with books and magazines. The overall impression was one of calmness and tranquillity, and it was obvious that a lot of money and thought had gone into making the hotel so welcoming. Pretty outdoor areas with a Japanese theme. Overall, far exceeded our expectations.
Cons: I would like to have seen more effort in eliminating plastic from the room - wrapping for toiletries, slippers etc. ( I would prefer to bring my own and not have them in the bathroom at all) and considering all the efforts to make the hotel as luxurious as they have, the towels were poor quality and very small!! Also, the dressing gowns provided for the spa were way too small - my husband had an XL and it didn't cover him at all, and my M was too small also.
7.0 Good
Pros: Very friendly staff and warm welcome.
Cons: The towels were not changed and the heat towel rail was not working and as a consequence wet towels on day 2.
