10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location, balcony view, hospitality of the host, cleanliness, decor, breakfast
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Spectacular views from our room. Amazing breakfast and fantastic staff. I would definitely stay again and would definitely recommend it to anyone. Alquezar is an amazing place.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was a beautiful room with a stunning view of the castle. Eva and Amaya were amazing. Both so helpful with making recommendations and reserving reservations for me and my husband. Loved staying there and would highly recommend.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had a room with a large terraced balcony overlooking Alquézar. This was breathtaking but was one of the more expensive rooms. The room had been really tastefully designed. Breakfast was delivered to our room on a trolley which we then ate on the balcony. The gentleman who met us at the property was extremely friendly and helpful providing useful local information. DO NOT miss the ‘Pasarelas del Vero’. You will need stout shoes and you will be given a helmet. This is a 3km hike leaving and returning from the village down to the Rio Vero. There are opportunities to swim in the crystal clear waters at the bottom so take a towel. NOTE - The picture supplied is taken first thing in the morning from the balcony but as mentioned below, not all rooms have balconies.
Cons: These are not negatives but are tips or things to be aware of:- - Our bathroom was on a mezzanine level reached by a spiral staircase. - Not all rooms have balconies so check before booking. - Parking was difficult when we turned up in the middle of the day, however we returned to our car and moved it into the car park near to the hotel later in the afternoon when the day trippers had left. - Make sure you inform them your time of arrival as the hotel is split across 3 different buildings and you’ll need to know where to go.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Nice balance for breakfast. Location with outstanding views ideal for cycling. Helpful with secure bike storage too. Staff very helpful and friendly.
Cons: All ok
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very cozy place, comfortable room and welcoming staff.
Cons: Our stay was too short - but that's on us, not on them ;)
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Location is outstanding, the room layout is great (although not suitable for mobility impaired), the views are incredible, and the room itself was clean, modern and stylish. The breakfast was amazing and eating it on the balcony overlooking the old city is an experience to remember.
Cons: Reception not staffed, although they are responsive on arrival
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful room with an excellent view over the church, castle, town and surrounding landscape.
9.3 Excellent

10.0 Excellent
Pros: This was our second stay at Hotel Castillo and we’d go back again in the future. The hotel is beautiful and comfortable with majestic views of the valleys around Alquezar. Breakfast is substantial and delicious. Lovely place to stay when in town
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful town, great location and amazing views
Cons: The AC was not strong enough.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was spotless with lovely bathroom and comfortable bed. It was a very quiet room with nice decor. Everything in Alquézar was close by and there were lovely view from the room.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Lovely room with balcony & view.
Cons: Access with car not easy - location might not suit anyone with mobility problems though the hotel was excellent from that point of view
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful hotel, beautiful place, just perfect.
Cons: No-one at reception for us to check in.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Splendid hotel, beautiful rooms, very well heated in November, WiFi worked excellent. Breakfast was also very good, staff is friendly and very helpful. I had a room with a view over Alquezar. The sourroundings are amazing. You can do a lot of wonderful hikes (Pasarelas de Vero etc.) The Casa Pardina, a fantastic restaurant, is around the corner close to the hotel. Free parking is available on a park area behind the city. The distance from the parking lots to the hotel is round about 300 m.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: We had a GORGEOUS view of the Castle with a small balcony. LOVED it! Beautiful town, with the best example of urban planning I have ever seen. Maintains it's character, but allows modernization. The surroundings are beautiful.
Cons: The check in and parking situation could be handled much better. We arrived with a car and that is a challenge! Maybe an email or some correspondence about the lack of availability of parking and VERY narrow, steep streets would be helpful. We found the person at check in a bit stand-offish and not terribly welcoming.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful hotel in a wonderful town.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location, lovely room with masses of space and great castle view. Good breakfast.
Cons: Nothing
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location! Beautiful views of the town and countryside. Quiet for sleeping. The breakfast exceeded my expectations!
Cons: More firm mattress on the bed than I’m used to in North America. Would have preferred more soft mattress, but still had a good sleep in the quiet, dark room.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Unique hotel. Very traditional building but with modern updates. While our host did not speak English, we were able to communicate and she was very friendly.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: We had the room on the top floor. It was exactly as in the pictures, beautiful, lots of room and very new and clean.
Cons: The breakfast was disappointing. One piece of toasted flat bread every day. Cakes in plastic bags, no hot food and the bread in the basket was from the previous day. There is no elevator so beware that you need to carry your suitcases up a couple of stairs. The staff was helpful though and also showed us how to get to the carpark.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location. Clean and modern rooms. Friendly staff.
Cons: No problem for us but stairs and steps could be a hinderance for people with mobility issues
7.5 Good
Pros: Excellent staff.
Cons: The directions to the property are poorly done. finding it is almost impossible. The parking lot is very difficult to get in and out of. I had concerns about safety in the event of a fire. An exit would have been very difficult. The restaurant food was average at best. Keeping the flies away was not easy.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Really nice place and super friendly staff!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff very friendly, wonderful location and terrace (great for summer dinners)
Cons: The access tonthe parking, you have to go thru the small streets
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Very good location and free parking; friendly staff.
Cons: We booked a "budget" twin room - it was one of the tiniest hotel rooms I've ever stayed in (and not very cheap, either, although I'm aware that Alquezar is more expensive than other towns in Spain). We were kept awake by people talking in the hallways and shouting in the street in the middle of the night; earplugs didn't help at all. It looks like the rooms on the higher floors are much nicer, so I would recommend booking one of them instead.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything. Really lovely room in a neat, friendly, cosy, well appointed establishment. The owners were so nice and helpful. Good wifi. The views from the spacious room were beautiful. The town itself is jaw-droppingly spectacularly beautiful. The kind of place we would return to in a heartbeat. Cannot recommend it highly enough.
Cons: The only (very minor) thing was the shower cubicle is a bit small - you might find it a bit tight if you are a large human and have to bend down to pick up the soap!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: In the centre of the amazing city of Alquazar lies this great casa. We had a beautiful room, comfortable bed, clean shower with hot water, aircon and in the backyard a great restaurant! The breakfast, bread with different toppings every day and fresh juice, was delicious as well! The perfect place to relax after an adventurous and sportive day in Sierra y Cañones de Guara national park.
Cons: The owner spoke only French or Spanish, but isn't that part of the fun in such remote village? :)

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very kind and sympathetic owners
Cons: Nothing
7.5 Good
Pros: Location. Reasonable breakfast on a par with others. Secure parking
Cons: " balcony" was just a window ledge.impossible to sit out. No separate chair in room to bring close to the window. No safety box visible in room.
6.8 Good
Pros: The check in person very friendly
Cons: The person serving breakfast was not friendly at all
7.0 Good
Pros: Beautifully decorated room and hotel in general. Good breakfast but no choice and same every day.
Cons: The owner was most unpleasant and unfriendly. The worst EVER. When you stay in a hotel and you feel apprehensive asking for another cup of coffee, something is badly wrong. Loud noise of shower from next door's bathroom at 1am.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room is tastefully and thoughtfully decorated. Breakfast was well prepared. Location was perfect too.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Truly one of a kind. Lovely run family business. The hotel has got a character i have not personally experienced before. A lot must have been put in to set this up. The lovely mountainous region of Alquezar even makes it astonishing.
Cons: The fact that i couldn't speak Spanish, lol! Definitely something i will have to work on before my next visit to spain. Nevetheless, we managed to communicate.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: All of it. Location, view, decor, vibe, breakfast, comfort of the room. Seriously, I could write a book on it and still not say enough good things.
Cons: Parking was a bit annoying, but considering the layout of the town it's not like they could improve it and it wasn't terrible.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect place to stay
9.3 Excellent
Pros: nice garden with beautiful view. very nice village and trails for walking and mountain biking.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had a lovely time at the "Rincon de Aran". Our hosts were very attentive and friendly and we felt more like family members than tourists. They gave us great advice on what to do and practical help, and they also cooked vegetarian meals for us. We enjoyed our dinners outside and the facilities around the house - like cozy corners where we could sit and read, and the garden, which in fact was a huge terrace with an awesome view across the canyons, where we could sit, have a drink and enjoy the view. The location is perfect for exploring the Parc Natural and relax afterwards.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Rooms & bathrooms very well finished, bed extra comfy, beautiful surroundings, excellent dinner & breakfast
5.8 Okay
Pros: Far away from everything, the village is tinny and the road to it dreadful. Hotel was fine , but noisy. We had noisy neighbors in the garden till 1:00 a.m.and the temperature of the room was too hot.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: I like the sorrundings. Lecina is well-maintained village and the place is very welcoming with dogs. It is pretty close to Barranco Bassender where I’ve been before and that’s a great plus. The owners are friendly and we got lots of things in common: wine. The location is excellent.
Cons: We expected a better food selection and an excellent gastronomic experience. Dinner was normal and it didn’t impress us at all. Breakfaast is normal. No fruit selection. It is a breakfast that you can do it at a minimum cost. We wanted something that come from the harvest or specialty in the region and not in the supermarket. Awareness and alertness is very important to us. We had a red wine leftover chilled for later consumption, but we didn’t hear offered to us again. We paid another year bottle. Managing a few guests checked in doesn’t take a lot of memory to take care of personal request.. Every little detail is Important to us. That’s why I rate an 8.5 overall and with the high rating of Lecina village and its surroundings
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Peaceful and welcoming retreat after hiking and visiting rock art. We were able to request meals and peek around Vecina. I would stay for a few days, and bring friends next time. The host is friendly and resourceful. You can even buy regional wines.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The property is an old Spanish farmhouse that has been exquisitely converted into a quaint B&B. The owners were very nice. The B&B is in a nicely maintained village comprised of quaint stone buildings with colorful flowers hanging on balconies and window sills. The town is home to a 1000-year old oak tree. The town is adjacent to the Vero River which offers whitewater rafting. There are also hiking trails, one of which is the Camino. Driving to and from the B&B took us through the Sierra of Guara, which we didn’t mind since we were able to enjoy the most stunning views of the Pyrenees on our drive north to the medieval town of Aínsa.

Pros: We loved this idyllic hotel nestled high up in the mountains. We arrived after a long drive with a few hiccups en route which delayed us but to arrive at this gem with the most idyllic views made it all worthwhile!! Hosted by Fleming and Anna who were so friendly and helpful. We sat out on the terrace and enjoyed our wine before a gorgeous dinner cooked by Flaming. Our only regret is that we only had one brief night but would definitely come back for an extended stay and enjoy some hiking in the area. Highly recommend!

Cons: Nothing.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Lovely location, well presented shabby chic hotel. Nice breakfast. Little expensive but this is probably due to location.
Cons: On street parking. Mould between the tiles in the shower. When shower turned on high the water soaked the bathroom. The temp needs adjusting on the air con as would not turn on despite 30 degree heat outside. Our room was on the street side with small balcony, room was so hot we had to leave the balcony doors open, but traffic and pedestrian noise throughout the night was very disturbing!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful apartment. Nearly everything perfect. Fully equipped. Amazing view. Hostess/owner so so nice and welcoming. We left early so they took care for a personal breakfast arrangement for us.
Cons: The Air condition is in the leaving room and the corridor. Since alquezar is a hot place (we visited on July), you need to sleep with the room doors open. Yet night usually are very pleasent temperature wise.

Pros: Oh! Everything. Beginning from our drive to Alquezar to this property everything was so beautiful. It is located in a very quiet and serene small village. The owners of this place are very nice and always ready to help and make you feel like a treasured guest. The room was small and basic yet very comfortable. The bathroom was nice too with hot water available at anytime of the day. No kettle/mini bar/iron available but we were fine. My wife wanted warm water for her bad throat and the lady at the reception was very generous to provide it. The breakfast starts at 8.30 A.M. They set all the tables with their buffet spread so there is no getting up again and again. The swimming pool looked awesome too but we didn't use it. In all we had a great time.
Cons: That we stayed just one night at this beautiful property.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Welcoming and considerate hosts made our stay a real pleasure. Definitely worth staying a couple of nights to enjoy Miguel Angel’s excellent cuisine. Rooms comfortable and very tastefully decorated. Great location for walking or canyoning.
Cons: Nothing
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The decoration was just exquisite and it gave a fantastic home away from home feeling. I felt like coming back here for a week to relax and enjoy the place.
Cons: The head of the bed needed some repairs but other than that everything was perfect
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Tradition building, turned into comfortable hotel. Quiet and Relaxing!
Cons: Everything was really fine!
7.5 Good
Pros: An interesting hotel in a small village, lots of peace and quiet and really feels away from it all. I had wanted to stay at nearby Alquezar but when we visited there it all seemed rather difficult and stressful so felt we had made a good choice. The food was good, no menu choice but often a choice brought to your table for you to decide. The owner was the chef, very pleasant but you need to speak French or Spanish. I probably wouldn't go again but would recommend others to. Air con in our room, a "charming" room but not in our son's garden room. Surrounding area of 70 canyons good even if you don't go canyoning. Easy parking outside.
Cons: Rooms were rather dark, property old with small windows so another handlamp would be good. Breakfast by candlelight a bit too eccentric!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly and helpful owner and staff. Gave us great recommendations for trip out and also catered for food intolerances. Lovely quiet location close to Alquézar but away from bustle
Cons: Nothing
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Caring staff, nice breakfast, beautiful yard...Close to Alquezar as well..
Cons: The navigation on Google map has some problem, and there is no big label of the hotel. So the first time we arrived there, we didn't realize it was the correct location. After driving almost all the narrow street of the village, we came back again...
9.3 Excellent
Pros: A beautiful little hotel in a rural area, with a lovely terrace to sit in the shade and enjoy some wine and olives. Food in the restaurant was good.
Cons: We were the only ones in the restaurant, which never makes for a good experience - but it was a Monday night in June
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Really unique surroundings in an local village but close enough to the tourist spots. Host was exceptional and make sure you have dinner at the restaurant to experience local cuisine cooked in a fine dining style. We really enjoyed the unique decor.

Cons: no hot milk, no fresh toast and no friendly service
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The location is fabulous and the views can't be beat. Breakfast was better than we'd expected and included fruit, cheese and yoghurt in addition to the usual coffee and toast. We loved our stay in Alquezar.
Cons: In a 37 degree heatwave, a pedestal fan is insufficient. We spent an uncomfortable night sweltering in the bed. There are so many other pluses for this albergue and we would certainly stay again but not in mid summer unless they install air conditioning!
