Pros: My children and their partners had two wonderful nights at this fabulous venue. The hostess Lucine was delightful and took a special interest in all of us as a family. Pros: Lucy is the perfect hostess - she provides beautiful, comfortable and spotlessly clean accommodation, a delicious breakfast with home made preserves and local produce, and she is a warm, engaging person.
Cons: Bly one, very minor ‘complaint’ - we found it very dark when we got to the house around midnight, and an outside light would have helped.

Pros: Our hostess couldn't have been more friendly and welcoming. Veronique is such a very nice person and L'Oisette a beautiful property, spacious, quiet with lovely furnishings and a very comfortable bed! She gave us lots of helpful suggestions and also managed to fit in a round of golf with my husband! We plan to go back!
Cons: The only slight inconvenience was having to drive somewhere for dinner
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Véronique was a splendid host real friendly and helpful. Amazing location , very quiet next to a golf course at 30 minutes by car from Saint Malo and Cancale. We staied in the wood house with our dog, very comfortable. Kind conversation in the morning during the great breakfast. All was wonderful! Ancora grazie e un caro saluto a Véronique!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely breakfast. Charming hostess. Fantastic views onto the golf course which joins on to the garden. Very peaceful setting.
Cons: It is an English thing. I hate to mention it as Veronique would make us a cup of tea at any time, but we do like to have a kettle and cup and saucer in our room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Bed was incredibly comfortable, breakfast with fresh orange juice, croissants, farm eggs and great coffee was delicious. Veronique is the best bnb host we have ever experienced. She is welcoming, charming and knowledgeable of the area. It felt like we were staying at the home of good friends. Restaurant recommendations and bookings were outstanding as well. With our limited french language skills, it was very relaxing to converse easily in english (Veronique speaks a number of languages). We really loved everything!
Cons: All great.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The house is wonderful in quite neighborhood, a lot of trees, flowers, singing of birds waking you up in the morning. The host was very pleasant, breakfast amazing, all the stay we were feeling relaxed and enjoying each moment. Things to improve-internet. Also, for finding the house gps is must.

Pros: Location gorgeous, very peaceful, view over golf course. Pleasant walks close by. Great for visiting Mont St Michel, Honfleur, St Malo etc Breakfast delicious, fresh fruit, ham, cheese, bread etc etc ! Free access to kitchen where we could make tea / coffee when we wished. Lovely terrace where we were able to sit and chat to other guests - even offered wine by our wonderful host Veronique ! Clean towels every day. LOTS of space in the room, huge bathroom with fantastic shower. Finally - but most importantly Veronique the host, is a delightful lady who made us feel so welcome and we chatted to for ages "putting the world to rights" ! We have toured France for years and stayed in numerous places - some very good, but L'Oisette is simply the best ever !
Cons: The only negative for us was that on this occasion we couldn't stay longer - hopefully we will back one day !
10.0 Excellent
Pros: An excellent stay in a peaceful location which our whole family enjoyed ... quite an achievement given the wide age range! The owner/host provided amazing hospitality and the accommodation is extremely comfortable, with a tasty, fresh breakfast every morning. Her advice certainly helped us get to know the local area & the extensive local facilities (eg golf, tennis), as well as exploring further afield in Brittany & Normandy. Highly recommended.
Cons: The only point to bear in mind is that the owner/host lives on site and therefore it is not technically exclusive use but we really appreciated the interaction and did not find the situation intrusive at all ... indeed quite the reverse!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Veronique was an excellent host, very welcoming and a perfect golfing partner. It was a lovely location not only for golf but the surrounding area was very interesting. L'oisette was idyllic and very relaxing. Will most certainly be back.
Cons: Everything was perfect.

Pros: Breakfast was very good, with a wide variety of items to choose from. Hostess Fabienne was friendly and helpful and spoke much better English than we did French.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: If you are looking for a home away from home then "The clos des Anges" is the place! The hostess, Fabienne, treats you as a member of the Family from the moment you walk in the door of her beautifull house. The breakfast was delicious with new home made treats every morning and the table itself was decorated in a new way every day. The guest rooms are all on the first floor with a view of the large garden - very quiete and clean with a spacious bathroom and a compfortable bed. Fabienne was very helpful with sightseeing ideas but her home itself ought to be listed as a sight. As an extra bonus she speaks fluent English. Dinge is perfectly situated for visits to Dinan, Rennes, Fougeres, Vitre, San Malo, etc. When we have forgotten Mont St. Michel, the Bayeux tapestry and Monets garden in Giverny we will still remember Les Clos des Anges.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: A beautiful country hotel set in a stunning location with attractive gardens surrounding a lake. A very tranquil place. We were shown around the complex and our room on arrival by a very friendly member of staff. We had dinner in the restaurant that evening which we had prebooked and would recommend that you do so as it gets very busy. Again excellent staff. The dinner was superb. We stayed here as a stop over en route to the ferry (only 25 minutes away) however this hotel deserves staying here for a few days to enjoy the hotel in full. We will certainly return.

Pros: Sandrine received us with a big smile, showed us the place and gave us useful tips to visit around. We stayed in the family suite which is really big and comfortable, the beds are excellent and we could sleep very well. Roz-Landrieux is a very quiet and peaceful place, close to charming small towns but also perfect location to visit Mont Saint Michel. The kids loved the swiming pool, the animals and the fast wifi connection. The breakfast was extraordinary! fresh fruit, crêpes, cakes and omelettes, everything was delicious. We will for sure stay there again in our next visit to Bretagne!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The owners were very friendly and made my family feel very welcome. The kids loved the parrots and the cats. We felt like guests.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The energetic and happy attitude of our hostess was delightful. She was quick to answer questions, share about her life and served up an AMAZING hot breakfast that seemed to go on and on. My kids loved the family room with its fun loft bed, the pool, and the sauna. The little kitchen was sufficient for our little picnic dinners.
Cons: There was a strong animal oder on the property, possibly to be expected on a farm. My parents room had a strong smell of smoking which seemed to subside over our time there. Possibly the previous guests had not kept the "no smoking" rules. The parrots that live in the house are fun but noisy at Breakfast.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very open host, very clean and willing to help out at any moment. Swimming pool was warm, good temperature. Great details and nice up keep of the rooms. Kids loved the animals. Very much worth a two day or more stay as it is close to Mont San Michele. Enjoy.
Cons: Can't really think of anything.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was incredible. The welcome and friendliness of the owner was faultless. Very family orientated. Because its a working farm nt all areas are spotlessly clean, but it's worth the little compromise to stay at this wonderful place. The breakfast room and all aspects of the bedroom were spotless.
Cons: Nothing!

Chambre d'Hôtes de Pirieuc - Combourg - Building

9.4 Excellent (30 reviews)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This was the best place we stayed in France and in the top two/three ever. I wondered where we were heading when we traveled down the local road and turned off on a short lane. Even when driving in we were so impressed with the work that had been done on the gardens around the home and the tables set outside in the sun. It presented beautifully, with lawns and flower beds and fruit trees spread out around. Loads of parking space. We were shown to our room which was up a set of wide stairs at the side and when the door opened could not believe how big the room was. Really - it was as big as a house. There were separate toilet and bathrooms which were large. The main room had a large dining table, kitchen facilities, bed - the bed was better than the one at home and wished I could take it with me, and we slept wonderfully. The windows were all double glazed and had shutters outside (these could be closed) which was great considering the fact that the sun was not setting till 10pm+. The views from the windows were also special looking over the gardens and properties around. There were tea/coffee facilities and we could prepare food there as well. Breakfast was served downstairs in the main body of the home and there was a large table spread with a host of good things. Again many of the pastries and spreads were made on site and had that home feel and taste to them. The lady spoke good English while her partner was limited, but this did not stop us being able to communicate. The time together was wonderful though given we asked them to join us was explained that it was not the normal thing to do by other couples staying there. I explained that while we had breakfast, I wanted to understand and know the people we were living with. We were then able to learn about different customs and foods consumed. When we were not there the others could do as they please.
Cons: Nothing
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Superb breakfast with attentive hosts. Peaceful location within easy reach of the coast and the Rance.
Cons: If we had been staying longer, some personal outdoor space would have made it perfect.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very near to all the cities that we wished to visit. Nice swimming pool and hot tub that we used on rainy days of Brittany. The room was bigger than most of the rooms in the region. There was a separate room for luggage with big mirror- very comfortable- no suitcases near the bed, comfortable to get dressed with a light that does not disturb others in a room. Bathroom has a shower with tropical shower option and a big bath. In the room you have a kitchen, which is as well a separate room, so one can cook when another one rests and no smells in the sleeping zone. Kitchen has everything you may need and even more. It has a big table with chairs around and can be used as a small living room. Hosts are amazing and make you feel at home. Breakfasts were a dream (for all - those who prefer the sweet start of the day, or like me - salty breakfast). Staying there we received many useful recommendations that saved our time when looking for a place to eat out or to see around.

Pros: The convenience of staying right on the golf course. Plenty of hot water for baths etc. Staff all very helpful and every effort to speak in English.
Cons: Breakfasts are normally excellent, but this time the scrambled eggs weren't. Lighting in the rooms always seems an issue in France - always poorly lit. Wi-fi has improved immensely in recent years, but still a way to go.

Pros: Quiet. And probably a good place golfers, but only
Cons: Check in was not on time, 2 hours late while I was told first it would only take 30 min. Wifi access in room was very poor. Room service was very done late in the afternoon and was very approximative.

Pros: Clean, good location
6.8 Good
Pros: Reception staff were friendly and helpful. It was a peaceful location. Restaurant food was very good.
Cons: It was exceedingly hot due to the heatwave and whilst we accept there was no air conditioning a fan costs very little to provide and would have made a big difference. We bought our own it was so hot. Likewise the restaurant was very hot and the service was exceedingly slow that just prolonged the discomfort.

Pros: Really good staff, helpful and well trained . The location of the hotel could not have been better . However we had a room overlooking the Bar which was noisy until 1.00am The Restaurant was very good and the food presented was excellent
Cons: The room No 42 was overlooking the road and the Bar next door and was very noisy on Saturday night until 1.00 am on Sunday morning . Not good for sleeping. The dinner was excellent but the Breakfast was a little basic
7.5 Good
Pros: The view was very nice
Cons: It was rather dated
5.0 Okay
Pros: The location, the two staff were lovely but couldn’t resolve our problems
Cons: Dreadful standard of fixtures and fittings shelves hanging off walls , wardrobe doors hanging off, wall switches had exposed wiring, wallpaper peeling off, i think this was a single room as we only had one towel and pillow! I booked this hotel because it had a bar and restaurant ,,,,,,both were not in use? In June ? We asked for another larger room, but no go. We moved out next morning and booked into another local hotel at great cost, the bathroom at the new hotel was bigger than the bathroom and bedroom at the Du Lac all in all a really dreadful experience, thank god the hotel over the road was so helpful and obliging to our plight, the hotel looks great on line.......but it’s not. We as travellers like a hotel with bar and restaurant I think I was mis led by the description of this hotel and would never have booked it if it had been listed as no bar or restaurant available. I am away again the week after next ! I think I will book my own accommodation and do my own research as I don’t want another experience like this.........perhaps booking .com you need to update your info?

Cons: Food only served until 20.00 on a Saturday. Couldn’t find stairs to my room. Everything locked! Room very hot.
7.5 Good
Pros: The bed was comfortable, the young girl on reception was very good and helpful.
Cons: The elder staff on reception adding breakfast to the bill when we did not have it. Coffee & tea making facilities would have been good
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Nice location next to a lake. Clean, comfortable. It is in a nice little village with a castle and a small park around it.
Cons: The wifi was very weak and often not accessible.
7.0 Good

Cons: Wifi was out due to a storm days earlier.
5.5 Okay

7.5 Good

7.0 Good
Pros: The staff were great, the facilities were more limited then expected. But on the whole we had a good stay and if the apartment is just somewhere to rest your head between day trips it’s fine.
Cons: The pool was cold which was disappointing. The facilities in the room were limited. The simple things like no scissors, no toaster, no drainage facilities to wash up. Yes we worked around it but these would have made things easier.
6.3 Good
Pros: The overall feel of the property was great. A nice pool area which was clean, and the house itself we stayed in was really well equipped! It was really well done. Bedding, bath towels and teatowel all provided.
Cons: When Leaving you are expected to clean the property, and while a Hoover, brush and dustpan and brush were provided there wasn’t much else to clean with. This would explain why there was a lot of pet hairs left on the floor/curtains from previous occupants. The only other downside, is that there was a very strange smell in the house. Seemed to be coming from the under stairs cupboard which didn’t seem to go away. We never got round to letting the reception know as we were in and out most of the day and they close at certain times so kept missing them.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: When we lived there knew of it but was the first time staying whilst visiting definitely stay again it was excellent. Would certainly stay again
Cons: nothing !!!
7.5 Good
Pros: Great country location and adjacent to the golf course. No shop on site but there is a boulangerie in the village and a bar. Easy car parking. Access to major routes. Clean tidy and adequately furnished with good kitchen utensils and equipment.
Cons: Wi-Fi was weak and very limited on the number of devices. The W.C. is on the ground floor with no wash basin which is not at all convenient. Carrying baggage from the car to the accommodation is a bit of a treck with not enough trollies to assist. No porters! Only a microwave grill/oven in the kitchen plus a hob. No full oven. There is a dishwasher which is a bit of a waste of time.
3.0 Mediocre
Cons: Hotel location was too remote, the traffic is very inconvenient. The room was acceptable. Hotel has no restaurant, no restaurants nearby is a serious problem
5.3 Okay
Pros: Location close to golf courses.Good kitchenette.New hotel.
Cons: Not much english spoken.Breakfast wasn't served until 9am which was late when rushing off to play golf. service at breakfast was slow.Hotel has changed its name so it was difficult to find!
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: The place is very new, sparce, the beds uncomfortable, the bathroom uncomfortable for the number of people accomodated in the unit.
Cons: This was not really a hotel and services, like restaurants are distant. The website gives the impression that Mont St. Michel is not too distant and that is why we chose this place. There were no signs to the hotel and the name only matches that on the website in small print after another name.
