Pros: Fantastic room. Most welcoming hosts. Lovely dinner. Secure, off-street parking. Pre-dinner drinks served in room much appreciated. 5 hours from Calais, incl. stops.
Pros: A really great place to stay! The owners could not have been more hospitable - very helpful, interesting and even cooked dinner for us (we arrived too late for local restaurants). Highly recommended!
Pros: Very nice and helpful hosts. Highway is close but no noise to hear. Cosy building and rooms.
Pros: Well-appointed comfortable room. Kind and hospitable hosts.
Pros: Lovely, clean and comfortable room. We had a warm welcome, and enjoyed our stay.
Pros: Great place to stay - huge garden, spacious rooms, amazing hosts. Thank you!
Pros: We enjoyed a very warm family overnight stay with 2 separate rooms (it was advertized in Booking.com as a "Suite") and our private bathroom. As a no-charge extra, we were invited to have dinner with the familiy in the garden: wine, soft drinks, French cheese and artisan ice cream. So, we learned to know several members of the familiy and other guests. We were coming from Strassbourg and we were on the way to Paris, that is why this location was conveniently located on the route N4. The village itself does not have much to offer though.
Located in Saint-Mihiel, Villa Sequoia is on a river, a 1-minute drive from Saint-Mihiel Benedictine Abbey and 9 minutes from Church of Saint-Jean-Baptiste. Pros: The house has a Very specific atmosphere, the stay was perfect
Pros: Helene is an awesome host, attending to our every need and provided great recommendations. The house is beautiful as are the grounds. The room was spacious and comfortable.
Pros: All lovely a great hostess fantastic house.
Pros: We were welcomed warmly by Helene - freshly pressed apple juice on the balcony was so welcome after a long and tiring drive. She is the perfect hostess, and went to a lot of trouble to help us, booking a table for us at a nearby restaurant near the lake (expensive but fine dining). She speaks perfect English. The house itself is fascinating with Art Nouveau furnishings and many original features. At the back it overlooks a large garden full of mature trees, somewhat neglected but a haven for wildlife. Our room very spacious and the bathroom had a lovely deep bath. The bed was extremely comfortable and we slept really soundly all night.
Cons: The front of the house gives a very bad impression - it looks almost derelict with weeds growing up everywhere. Perhaps a couple of tubs of bright geraniums at the front door would make the place look more welcoming. The breakfast made few concessions to healthy eating! Croissants and cheese are not to everyone’s liking. I would have appreciated more choice, such as more fruit and ham as well as cheese or even cereal.
Pros: Helena made us feel at home. We had the downstairs to ourselves, kitchen, drawing room and an outside balcony.
Cons: B&B was locked up tight when we arrived. My phone calls were not answered. I finally hollered hello from the street and Helena appeared at an upstairs window and then met us at the gate.
Pros: Nice building, very cosy and big room with pantastic furniture. The owner was very friendly and willing to help us at every time.
Cons: The city is not that interesting, but for a stay with a car or motorcycle it's perfect
Pros: What a beautiful house with so much character.. We were warmly welcomed and made to feel at home from the moment we arrived. Our room was spotless with a very comfortable bed, and beautiful view over the garden and the river Meuse. It was also great to be able to use all downstairs, (although we had not realised the kitchen facilities were shared and the other users had left them rather dirty.) The owner greeted us with coffee on arrival and even laid a fire for us to eat our dinner beside . A really lovely stopping place when travelling from Italy to Calais. We will definitely stay there again.
Cons: Other kitchen users leaving the facilities dirty. So thoughtless.
Pros: This eclectic home is a reflection of the interior architect owner whose hospitality is wonderful. Great breakfast. We were welcomed to use the kitchen and beverages anytime. The walks to town both though the roads and along the river were picturesque. Happening upon the festival celebrating Patton’s army liberating St. Mihiel in both WWI and WWII and the town’s huge celebration with multiple parades, reenactments, encampments, movies, concerts off all kinds, and food was a surprise bonus we had not anticipated. Our hostess, Helene, provided us with the information to participate and enjoy every minute.
Pros: It's a small B&B with a very friendly owner who speaks fluent English. The house is not new, but it did not matter as it created certain magical touch to the stay. There was a balcony and living area to spend evening time and eat breakfast. It is not some fancy business hotel, but the room was clean, bathroom was clean and functional. It was a really nice stay!
Cons: Wifi didn't reach the bedroom perfectly.
Pros: Great hospitality and service
Cons: A little bit cold in the rooms

Pros: I liked the peace and quiet, great to get a nights sleep without noise. Did I mention the food, the food was excellent.
Cons: I found no downsides
Pros: Large room, good beds with adjustable back and legs. Nice and quiet rooms, quiet village. Nice garden with a large section for the animals. Good coffee. Arranged a good baby bed for our daughter, also kids seat for dinner/breakfast. Dinner was fine, wine was a bit expensive.
Cons: The breakfast was poor. 5 slices of bread and only jam (fresh jam though). There was an egg boiler but no measuring cup to add water or add a hole to the eggs, so not usable. Also no one around to ask annything. Bad wifi (no wifi in the rooms/breakfast area)
Pros: Everything was fantastic. The reception we had was friendly and informative. We were shown to our room which had a 4 poster bed and all of the decorations and fitments were outstanding. We had dinner in the restaurant which was extremely good, although the portions were on the large side. Breakfast in the morning was also really good.
Cons: Leaving! We didn’t want to leave.
Pros: Four poster beds and gourmet meal
Cons: Restricted wifi
Pros: The room was fine. Bathroom was OK but it was upstairs.
Cons: No coffee facilities on the room. No wifi on the room. Breakfast only bread and home made marmalade. Diner was very poor.
Pros: Very French decor. Charming hosts. Nice quiet location. Good evening meal although you did not know what you were going to eat as no menu provided. Good breakfast but no meat or cheese offered.
Cons: No toiletries. The room we stayed in had a mezzanine floor with the bathroom and toilet on. Although very nicely decorated not ideal for trips to the loo in the night!
Pros: Catherine was the perfect hostess and she had an excellent knowledge of English. Our room was huge and extremely comfortable as was the adjoining lounge area. All meals were also of excellent quality. We also enjoyed learning about farm life during our stay.
Pros: A wonderful place, a real gem. Food was superb, really authentic experience.
Pros: The staff were all really great and funny. Had a fantastic meal. Really appreciate the patients as our french it not great .
Cons: We could not get in we rang the bell several times knocked on doors . After a while called the number had a little trouble with language. Finally got in after 30 minutes and had a great stay. Thank you.

Pros: Good breakfast, very clean facility, modern rooms, quiet, good shower, nice sheets.
Cons: A bit of a distance to the town centre and rather expensive. The desk clerk made an exception for us, but he made it clear that normally one needs to wait until 5:30pm to check in. That’s when the reception desk opens (except there is never anyone at that desk, you have to phone if you need to talk to someone). That seems a bit late to us.

Cons: The food was terrible in fact we weren’t able to eat it..dreadful.
Pros: The hotel was clean and the staff friendly without exception. This is a roadside auberge and the road it is on is quite busy during the daytime. However the hotel is quiet and our room at the back was light and airy. The village of Bislee and the town of Saint Mihiel are a drive away so a stroll into town is not possible. You can walk down to the River Meuse though. We were very happy with the evening meal - good basic French fare in a nice dining room, overseen by the charming proprietress. This was a lovely stopover on our way to Switzerland and we left with a very warm feeling about La Table des Bons Peres
