Pros: Excellent customer service. The staff were wonderful and went above and beyond in helping us sort transport to the Vietnam/Laos border and helping us exchange our money when the ATM in the town wasn’t working. Very clean and spacious rooms. Beautiful views of the town and the mountains surrounding it. Clean, lovely swimming pool.
Pros: The room was incredible and such good value for money. Beautiful pool and views surrounding the hotel.
Cons: There were some misunderstandings and confusion at times due to the language barrier (even when we spoke Vietnamese). By the last night though there were some staff members with good English
Pros: The rooms were perfect and had a great view. We especially loved the big outdoor swimming pool, which is usually quite empty in the morning, but can be crowded in the evening. The breakfast buffet had many options - many in Vietnamese style, fewer for the western taste, but there is something for everyone! The supermarket next door is very convenient. We loved our stay and would definitely come back here! All in all, fantastic value for money!
Cons: Difficult to get to with public transport. Taking a taxi from Vinh should be preferred, but can be expensive (~1 mil VND). Only few employees speak enough English for detailed conversations, e.g. regarding recommendations concerning day trips to the surrounding areas. Your own vehicle is a must for any activities. The hotel does not rent scooters. Hiring scooters nearby is possible, but might be very difficult without knowledge of Vietnamese language. If you want to visit Pu Mat Nationalpark, keep in mind that foreigners need an extra permit to enter areas close to the border with Laos (e.g. for boating or to visit the ethnic minority village). This permit can not be obtained in Con Cuong or anywhere nearby, but one needs to apply for it beforehand in Vinh.
Pros: Clean, location
