great welcome, excellent hosts, amazing tasteful decor, total comfort, great unique home made organic mostly food, attention to detail, very helpful re maps and directions. Very relaxing atmosphere, lovely relaxing music. Luxurious public lounge, lovely room and superb location near to astounding scenery and lovely little town of Ayerbe. Will return again and hopefully have an extra night. A real treat. Perhaps a better sign from the road.
Attractive setting. Comfortable rooms. Difficult to find hotel - better signposting needed. The food was fair but overpriced.
This is a lovely hotel with very spacious suites that are really separate cottages. Each suite has a refrigerator and a hot water tea kettle as well as large bathrooms and sofas and arm chairs. The location is fantastic: quiet with beautiful views of the dramatic mountains. The owner is knowledgeable and interesting and has put a lot of passion into the landscaping and design, there are lavender and iris and rosemary and olive trees in rock-walled planters. Many interesting places to visit nearby (castles, dramatic rock pillars, rivers, monasteries) and great birding. Highly recommend this hotel!! Breakfasts on the terrace were lovely and staff are very attentive and friendly, however the breakfast itself was only fair.
Very comfortable large suite in a lovely and unusual setting. The staff were welcoming, helpful and friendly. Very peaceful, just the place to unwind. Would return for a longer stay.
The personal attention given by the management and staff. The geographic location. The quality and variaty of the food. no comments to make
Nobody at the reception at 18 h 19 h during the two days in this hotel ...
Absolute peace and quiet marvelous views, friendly staff and a completely relaxed atmosphere..I would recommend a stay here to anyone, looking to switch off for a few days.
Very kind people, excelent food, nice view over the mountains.Quiet and relexed atmosfere. No problem with finding the location. No.
Staff was fantastic, scenery incredible from every room, rooms new, clean and comfortable. I would increase breakfast options.
The staff were friendly and welcoming and the rooms very clean and comfortable with superb bathroom facilities No
A very quiet location near the fantastic old Monasterio. Excellent departure for some walking in the area. The rooms are very nice and the regional plates are very nice but there is a limited choice.
Absolutely Fabulous peace and quite, food, suroundigs and excellent price
The walk down the mountain to the old monastery, where the Holy Grail was hidden safely away from the Moors. Teriffic walk, and a teriffic place. No
Friendly staff, excellent design, good facilities and installations, spacious room, very well equipped bathroom, plenty of storage space, peaceful, very attractive surroundings and an extremely interesting and well mounted museum. The food did not live up to the excellent standard of the rest of the hotel.
Once you are there, you would use the hotel restaurant and its food is very bad.
Friendly and very helpful staff. Excellent hotel facilities and services. Especially the food was great! Fluency in English and French could be improved. The swimming pool was a bit too small for a 4 star hotel.
The setting is magnificent, the hotel is very nicely appointed, the rooms are perfect in every respect We did not have the midday meal, so I cannot judge that; however, we found the evening meal menu somewhat lacking. Good quality, but very limited choice.
Facility was clean and orderly, checkin and checkout were quick, room was nicely decorated, access to museum & forest walks very good. Once we set up wifi connection, it worked well. Breakfast was fine, good value for money. Very quiet! With so few guests in mid-November, the hotel didn't feel very welcoming. Only one TV station available in room. Would visit again in warmer weather, when you can walk through park. Very chilly in the morning in museums!
Wonderful quiet location and unique atmosphere. Helpful staff who dealt quickly with any problems. Fittings of a poor standard. Door handle to bathroom fell off and apparently this is not unusual. Towel rail about to come away from the wall. We were moved to an upgraded room to compensate where there were vertical bars on the stairs forming a weak balustrade; the bottom bars were loose and will come away at somew point. Desk staff gave us incorrect information about the opening times of the cafe.
The surroundings and location on the top of a mountain were exceptional as was the reformation and preservation of the ancient site. The location is 25 Klms from Jaca making guests unable to exercise any lternative sites to eat. This hotel did not merit it's 4 star rating and the staff were certainly not up to the job. The manager informed us that they had only taken charge of the business a month earlier but this does not excuse the lack of professionalism in both reception and dining areas.
A quiet room that was close to the main area of town. It was close to the restrauants and bars so you did not have to eat in the hotel. The hotel was closed when we arrived and we waited about one (1) hour before the manager arrived to book us in. The bar and dinning room were closed as the season was comming to a close. No excuse.
Good location if you want to visit the Loarre Castle The wireless internet wasn't working...
Large room. Comfotable bed. Very friendly and helpfu staff. Excellent, value for money breakfast. Close to a number of interesting historic and geographic sites. An initial slight whiff to the toilet
Our room was very spacious and included a large, covered terrace with patio furniture and a lovely view of the mountains. Hotel was totally refurbished about 6 years ago, so everything was modern and in good condition. Breakfast included a lovely assortment of fruits, juices, meats, cheeses, pastries and was attentively served. We chose this hotel because of it's proximity to Castillo de Loarre
Staff were friendly and very helpful. Fairly good location on the outskirts of town. Ok for an overnight stopping point, Ayerbe hasn't much to offer. The only terrace is on the roof, with no shade, and the deserted indoor bar had only 2 tables. We were the only two in the restaurant all night, and the chef was lazy - our starter was a huge & uninviting plate of overcooked frozen vegetables, and the main course came with cold potato and pepper. Breakfast was poor value - not buffet
The staff were very helpful. The hotel was very clean with modern rooms in a traditional building.Free onsite parking.Friendly bars and restaurants in the village.
The staff was very friendly and helpfully.
Quiet and close to the village within easy walking distance of bars and restaurants. Surrounding area picturesque. Could not connect to internet!
The room and bathroom were extremely comfortable in both size and amenities. The location was at the edge of the small town which made it very quiet. However it was very easy to walk to the sights and the restaurants. The manager was a lovely man who was extremenly gracious and helpful about which restaurants were open on which nights and the hours that the local tourist attrations were open. We throughly enjoyed our stay there.
It was a friendly , homely hotel situated in a small but picturesque village. Off the beaten track but in the centre of a good tourist area. Breakfast was good but expensive. The services from the other rooms were very very noisy which disturbed our nights sleep.
Lovely hotel in a very pretty village in the foothills of the Pyrenees. Staff were vary helpful and pleasant, the breakfast was very impressive. Had to change rooms because the floor hadn't been cleaned properly, no big deal and the staff were happy to help us move.
Welcoming staff in a small but quite lively village square but very safe for children despite its central location. The menu del dia was excellent regional cooking at a very good inclusive price.:the breakfast was in a quiet relaxed environment, with many options and excellent value. We travel through Northern Spain frequently but rarely find such a combination of overall qualities and value for an overnight stay. Highly recommended..
Quiet small mountain town in the center of town great alturnative to bigger Jaca or Huesca if travelling in the North Spain mountains.
We enjoy being in a Spanish village but were disappointed that no other guests were there Lack of the good atmosphere that we had experienced on our previous visit due absence of other guests
This is a small friendly hotel run by an Anglophile. The hotel is located at the centre of Loarre, a small historic village near Loarre Castle, "the best castle in Spain". The rooms are not large but are comfortable with a modern design which fits in well with the old building, ours had remote control air-conditioning. The evening meal (Euro 20) was good quality, relatively simple but tasty. Breakfast was fine too.
The people in this little village were absolutely wonderful. The food at the hotel was outstanding and the price was extremely reasonable compared to any place else we've stayed in Spain. It's a very small village but very scenic and just a great experience! No complaints.
The hotel was very nicely decorated & situated in a lovely place, We only stayed one night as we were passing through. We did not like the fact that the restaurant was very expensive & the food was not good, We did have the menu del dia but there was only a choice of 2 out of 4 things & we had to pay for coffee as an extra. We had no choice as to where we ate as the staff said the closest place to eat was 5 kms away.
