This hotel was surprisingly nice. Location was great, staff was excellent, breakfast convenient and room very nice. My only complaint is the bathroom was frosted glass. You couldn't see much (could tell where the person was and if they were standing or sitting but nothing else) but you could hear everything. it wasn't too bad but just don't expect any privacy. Also offers to store luggage for 20dkk per bag. (Approx $3 in December 2015). We used it and it was very convenient and easy.
Arrived in the morning and the type of room I booked was not available, so paid for an upgrade in that there were no available lockers to store our luggage. Would prefer to pay a fee to store luggage in a storage room.
Right across the street from the train and metro. Only a 15 minutes walk from most places we wanted to visit Right next to a beautiful park Inexpensive It's a budget hotel, which most reviewers don't seem to understand. For the price, it's a good value. It is definitely not a hostel, but don't expect any frills. Bring your own shampoo, conditioner and soap. It does back up to the railway station, so if you are a light sleeper I wouldn't recommend. But, I am a pretty light sleeper and with ear plugs it was fine.
Hotel is right next to train track. Getting to it was a breeze. We were able to explore Copenhagen and save a lot of money by using public transport. Good breakfast spread. If we had to go Copenhagen we would stay there again A bit of noise from the rails.
Easy and free access to Internet One side of the Hotel, i.e. half of the rooms are next to a busy train line and therefore very noisy. This should be signalled on the website, so customers can freely decide whether or not they accept this drawback.
- Awesome breakfast, especially the breads and yoghurts - Great location, walkable distance from all the castles, city center convenient train to airport and station right in front of the hotel - Bus stop right in front of the hotel - Convenience store in front of the hotel - Next to railway station, so you can hear the trains pulling through all the time.
Nothing The most ridiculous hotel I have ever stayed at. Very long and half the rooms face an active railroad line. They lied that the trains stopped at 00.30 but they were still running at 2.30 when they reluctantly agreed to let me move to the other side. I will never go back there and hope no one else will
right across from train station perfecly silent in the room; no noise from the train station (really impressed by that) the bed was very comfortable the lobby felt up-scale there was a tiny bit of mold/mildew in the grout in the shower (not a big deal) the outlets and switches were not in convenient locations (not a big deal)
The room was a nice size, with a door opening onto a green area. Nice bathroom. Free wifi. Was told it was an upgrade from my original booking. That makes me worried about what the intended room was like, since this is what I had expected. Breakfast not included because I booked the room through kayak. Staff was not very friendly or helpful (because I was a "second class" guest?).
The front desk staff were very nice and helpful. The hotel was very clean. I'd compare the size and feel of the room to a cabin on a cruise ship. Extremely basic. The location was very good being across the street from train station. Can be noisy because it's across the street from train station. Before booking, several reviews mentioned this, and suggested getting odd numbered room to be further from train, this helped some.
Good atmosphere in the hotel hall. Rooms a very basic, even a bit old, but quiet and you can get a good rest.Good breakfast buffet.
The blond young girl at the reception, she wasn't just pretty but also very helping. Also we liked that the hotel is just at the train station. It was a little bit loud and the staff didn't put us in a room which isn't facing the rails as I have requested 5 months ago.
Location, very nice price, Very noisy souround,
Location across from Osterport Station is great. The breakfast is a good deal, as Copenhagen is an expensive city for food. My room intermittently smelled bad. Like maybe gas was coming up through the sink drain? But it didn't happen often enough and wasn't bad enough for me to ask for a room change during my short stay. That's really the only negative.
Staff was helpful and friendly, choise of dishes for the breakfast was ok There was some strange smell in the room on the 4th floor and the sewage in the bath was not working properly
The staff was extremely helpful and very pleasant. They were always glad to provide information and recommendations for dining or attractions.
Warm friendly atmosphere and comfortable room. Being at the front of the hotel, got a fair bit of noise from the street.
Great location, the room were large The room was a little tired
Like coming home in from the cold. Coffee and danish lovely.
After the initial impression which was disappointing we found our stay to be pleasant. The beds were comfortable, breakfast was satisfying with a nice variety the location was good and the staff nice and helpful. The room and especially the bathroom could use some renovation
Excellent tv Didn't have a weigh scale so I could weigh suitcases to prevent extra fine at airport for overweight bags. ($20 investment). Two wake-up calls never happened, and I nearly missed my flight home. The clerk on desk couldn't answer me who pays for my flight home if I miss it because of his errors? Lastly, I didn't at all appreciate the maid walking in on me just as I had got out of the shower, even though I repeatedly shouted stop, and she kept coming into the room. Undertrained, I guess.
The hotel was great. The staff friendly and very helpful. We were traveling with my aunt who is in a wherlchair, the hotel is aces sable and the staff really helped make our stay comfortable. Rooms are good size and very comfortable even with a wheelchair. Breakfast was good with a large assortment of items. Location was great since it is near Rosenburg gardens and the metro. We walked all over the city from here with the wheelchair ! It was all good.
Fine hotel, nothing to complain about.
nearness to historic sites n/a
it was inexpensive, good location to downtown, easy to walk around the city, he staff was very friendly and helpful, they offered breakfast with the price of the room, i didnt like the shared bathrooms and showers but they served the purpose, the breakfast was ok but could have had a little more selection, but for the price it was fine,
its situated 300m from the 2nd most used train +Metro station, short distance from the start of the walking/shopping street, in a safe and still quiet area. Rooms are renovated, with internet and flatscreen tv. Shared showers and toilets. no elevator
Hotel Windsor is very close to the main shopping areas. rooms were decent and good breakfast The stairs!!!! If you have a problem with walking stairs + heavy luggage, think twice before booking this hotel. also the floor boards are not that soundproof. plus this hotel hasn't got a proper reception. if you check in later than 3 PM you must get the key from the Jorgensen hotel. but all in all decent budget hotel-good value for money
The room was very clean and cozy, the staff were friendly and location was great. Excellent value for money.
Location is the best characteristic of the hotel. It is in the very centre of the city and near metro and railway station It is a sort of dependence of the hotel jorgensen so nobody of the staff is present in the hotel during the afternoon and the night. Awful shared bathroom and no possibility to lock the shower room. Four floors with very narrow stairs (and no lift): very uncomfortable for the baggage.
