Excellent food, interesting menu (Gratin of Donkey's Ears!!!) The rooms were fine but were beginning to look a bit tired and in need of sprucing up.
Beautiful location overlooking the old town of La Mure - friendly staff -comfortable room - small pool - excellent dinner menus from ? 17.50 - substantial buffet breakfast None
its a nice place ,beutful landscape, nice village near by, swimming pool, friendly staff, good food. The missing of english spoken staff.(it was better before)
We were pleased with the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff
Good kitchen. Helpful and nice staff who tried to understand
THe room was terrible. It is old and smelled with cigarettes.I would only go back for the food in the restaurant. It was magnificent!
Good location. Quiet. Friendly staff. Excellent value menu with very good food. Good basic facilities as one night stop-over en route. Good value overall.
We enjoyed our stay at "le Chardon Bleu" very much. The owners are very hospitable (offering us a nightcap on our late arrival) so we prolonged our stay. We very much recommand the Chef of the hotel, who won several haute cuisine prizes (displayed on the restaurantwalls). From the restaurant we had a beautiful view on the valley of the Bonne. From our breakfast terrace we looked upon a beautifull medieval stagecoach auberge. We did fantastic walks ( f.i. along a historic water canal embedded in the mountainsides) and bicycling tours up the pastoral valleys of de Col d´Ornon and Col de la Morte. Ending our days at the nearby swimming lake. For us a great tranquil place for active leisure to return to. Thanks Lisette en Rokus, the Netherlands
Location, large room Very comfortable. Bathroom huge, would be better described as a wet room. Bedrooms need more storage; drawers/hanging space
We got an excellent, brand new apartment to stay in-we were actually upgraded to a bigger place too. We were late arriving but the Concierge left a note with his number so we could call him to get into our apartment (at midnight even, so obliging). The scenery, especially when it snows a lot during the night, is spectacular. The ski slopes are just a short drive (I mean you could walk but we took the car with all our gear) and are good for all levels of skiers. There was internet accesss, hot breakfast available and saunas too! I would totally recommend this modern and comfortable hotel/apartment complex. We felt it was like our home away from home (even when we were checking out they let us take our time and didn't harrass us). In fact, over much of the holiday they just let you alone in your apartment to enjoy yourself unless you need something when they are happy to help. You will get the best sleep ever in this place, it is so peaceful and quiet at night (and the stars come out in force too!) Truly a great place to stay on your ski holiday:) The hill up the hotel/apartment is a bit steep, especially if it is snowy/icy but you just have to put on snow chains or really take it easy (it is not long). Also, it is mostly a French speaking area only (I have moderate French so that was o.k. and I love the charm of this) but just be prepared (i.e. with a dictionary perhaps!) One last thing stock up on supplies for the apartment (this includes toilet rolls!) - there is only one shop/tabac in town which is great for smaller shopping trips and essentials but when you first arrive it is probably better to buy before and bring more from the bigger supermarkerts closer to Grenoble.
Good space, super friendly and considerate staff. It was hard to find. And, since we were there in the off season, some of the information online wasn't current.
Nice old village, very kind staff.
The most beautiful mountain scenerie by the glance out of the window!!! The bathroom was a bit narrow... clean thouhg!!!
The situation - a lovely area. Can be noisey at night as there is a bar downstairs where there was a pretty noisey group until after midnight. It's ok for what you pay.
