Pros: Everything, we were welcomed by a wonderful staff and Inn keeper. Hotel employee was warm and very pleasant they made sure our stay felt like home. Melissa was there every morning making sure everything was perfect. Hotel employee made the best breakfast
Pros: The inn is charming Our room and the common areas were spotlessly clean. The staff went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed for an enjoyable stayand the location allowed us to walk to most places we wanted to visit.
Pros: Everything was perfect! Room 7 was just what my husband and I needed for our anniversary. Beautiful decor, very clean and the bed was more than comfortable. Breakfast each morning exceeded expectations with wonderful quiche dishes and waffles.
Pros: Lovely! Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful, also with bookings for dinner and the lobster boat ride. Afternoon tea and breakfast were superb! Excellent parking facilities, generously offered beverages, free WiFi. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay
Pros: The friendliness!
Cons: I liked it all. The coffee was fabulous, too!

You can not find a better place to stay in Bar Harbor. Staying at the Primrose Inn made our trip to Bar Harbor an experience that fulfilled our greatest expectations for our vacation.
Pros: Clean, beautiful setting, close to down town, delicious food, fantastic service. Kind and considerate hosts that continue to monitor and respond to the needs of their guests. Great insight given by the staff concerning places to see, shop, and eat.

Pros: We absolutely loved this little motel. It is older, and not luxurious, but they have added little touches that made our stay wonderful. The beds were very comfortable and the pillows were great. Everything was spotless, even if a little old. It was so much more fun and preferable all around to stay here rather than at a chain hotel. The staff, which included the family who owns the motel, was very helpful and friendly. We will be going back next time we get to Bar Harbor.
Cons: The bedspreads, carpet and chairs could use some refurbishing - but they were clean and not really a big deal!
Highbrook Motel is a great choice for a stay in Bar Harbor. Free perks include continental breakfast, WiFi, and self parking. All rooms feature LCD TVs and refrigerators.
Pros: The best location in a modern, classically styled hotel. Very friendly staff, comfortable, bright rooms.
Pros: Location...on main st seconds to intersection of main and downtown park...5minute walk to harbor
Bar Harbor Grand Hotel is a great choice for a stay in Bar Harbor. Guests can splash around at the outdoor pool or seasonal outdoor pool, and the spa tub makes for a relaxing end to the day. Other highlights include a 24-hour fitness center, and rooms offer LCD TVs and DVD players.
Pros: The privacy was great. Front staff was very helpful. Very comfortable bed. Nice large refrigerator in room as well as a microwave. Nice bathroom.
Cons: Very dated carpeting. Wallpaper is old. As senior travelers, a first floor room would have been easier than a steep stairway, but we managed.
Pros: Large rooms and proximity to town.
Cons: you could not smoke on the balcony outside your room
Great location, clean, very nice staff
Cons: The light in the balcony was always on at night
Cons: I reserved a king suite. What I received was a regular room with a king bed. What they consider a suite is what other hotels consider normal.
Spacious room - ours was on the first floor with a private outside entrance and a nice balcony with table and chairs for an evening glass of wine or morning coffee. Nice 'New England' feel and decor. Very helpful front desk - gave us maps, suggested restaurants and sightseeing opportunities - very nice.
Pros: Off the main strip on a quiet street. Private location, easy parking. An easy walk to everything in town without having to drive.
Cons: No ocean view - but we knew that going in. It's a couple blocks to the water.
Very clean and comfortable room.
Pros: Very good location, extremely helpful staff.
Enjoy your visit to Bar Harbor with a stay at Bar Harbor Manor. Freebies like WiFi and self parking are added perks, and guests looking to stay active can check out the nearby hiking/biking trails and kayaking. Rooms feature conveniences like refrigerators and microwaves.
Pros: The Bar Harbor Motel isn't fancy, but it's clean, and the staff is extraordinarily friendly and helpful. I would characterize the motel as being great for families, or for hikers looking for a relatively inexpensive place to sleep and a free breakfast before hitting the trails at Acadia National Park. There are not many "creature comforts," but the beds are comfortable and the showers are hot, which is what hikers are really looking for. I would certainly stay there again.
This oceanfront property is located next to Shore Path and boasts views of Frenchman’s Bay. Facilities include wraparound terrace and free Wi-Fi. Acadia National Park is 2 miles away. Rooms at The Shore Path Cottage feature an en suite bathroom. Select rooms feature ocean views, large windows, and high ceilings. Guests can relax by the fireplace in the common living room. The Bar Harbor Shore Path Cottage offers a library and a spacious lawn extending to the ocean. The property has a vegetarian kitchen and serves a daily breakfast made from mostly organic ingredients. Afternoon tea is also available. Central Bar Harbor is 2 minutes’ walk from the property. Bar Harbor Whale Watch Company is 3 minutes’ walk away.
Pros: I loved staying here! The price was great, the hotel was clean, the location was great, and the staff was extremely friendly. The motel is 10 minutes from Bar Harbor and the entrance of Acadia National Park. We went into Bar Habor for breakfast and dinner since it was so close. The staff (Rich) was extremely nice; he gave us suggestions (C-Ray for lobster and Geddy's for a fun place to eat dinner), tips (where to drive for detours), and advice throughout our trip. I'd recommend this place to all family and friends and would stay here again. P.s., they have a heated pool!
Pros: Clean, neat, pleasant motel on Mount Desert Island with easy access to Acadia National Park trails, Bar Harbor and all the island has to offer!
Cons: Only thing I didn't like was out of their control... road construction that shut down one direction of travel on the main road in front of the hotel. Had to take a significant detour due to limited roads on the island--but it also meant we got to see a little more of this beautiful park/island.
High Seas Motel offers accommodations in Bar Harbor. Free WiFi is provided throughout the property and free private parking is available on site. Every room is equipped with a flat-screen TV. All rooms are equipped with a private bathroom fitted with a bathtub. Agamont Park is 4 miles from High Seas Motel, and Frenchman Bay is 2.7 miles away. The nearest airport is Bangor Airport, 38 miles from the property.
We felt it was over-priced for the above mentioned conditions. After a few conversations at breakfasts, it became very clear the owner wouldn't settle for these issues had he been paying, yet he apparently thought nothing of it with expecting guests to accept them.
Pros: The location was nice.
Cons: Huge chunk of peeling paint from ceiling in bedroom. Lights kept dimming in bathroom if left on for longer than a few minutes. Bathroom door handle plate was missing screws and not anchored to door--ending up catching on my clothes. :(
It was overall a nice B&B.
Pros: Breakfast was delicious. Location is convenient.
Cons: There were some dolls lying in the house that look creepy. Maybe I watch too many horror movies.

Pros: Staff was friendly. Continental breakfast provided a large variety of food. Coffee and cookies always available in lobby. Hotel was close to Acadia.
Pros: Excellent breakfast. Convenient location.
Pros: The staff were very helpful and the treats(cookies, tea, hot chocolate, etc) at the front desk were very good. I searched for a motel with more than a continental breakfast in the area that was reasonably priced and this one was a true winner! The area is beautiful and this was a very well maintained, clean, family friendly motel close to the acadia's east entrance.
Pros: Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good, lots of variety and plenty of room.
Pros: The hotel staff were very accomodating, and helpful in recommending local points of interest. The breakfast provided was excellent. The facility though it appears a bit dated is very well maintained. Would definitely recommend to a friend, and will revisit if we vacation there again.
Cons: Pool was not heated

-plenty of parking
-pool had plenty of seating and was well maintained
-fitness facility was easily accessible and met my needs
-short walk/drive to looking glass restaurant
-main bar with piano player was enjoyable
Cons: -could use more easily accessible outlets
-on two occasions (once in the fitness center, another in the main lobby) the water cooler did not have the cap removed by the staff. In the fitness center, I had to remove it myself and flip over the 5 gallon cooler. In the lobby I left it as is.

Cons: Sheets weren't changed from the previous guests.
Pros: Great setting. Beautiful view and convenient to everything
Pros: The view of the ocean is amazing. The staff is very friendly.
Cons: Some areas need updating -- for example, the rug in the elevator of building #4 is terrible.
Pros: The location was excellent. View of the water was gorgeous. Breakfast was pretty good (continental - eggs, breads, pastries, fruit). Considering the cost in that area, this was an excellent value.
Cons: The hotel is a bit dated and the rooms were not that clean (okay, but could have used a bit more TLC). You will hear your neighbors above you (walking). Staff was not very forthcoming with information. For example, there is a free shuttle to Bar Harbor that leaves from the hotel which I found out about only by accident - not because anyone told me.
Cons: No tub, only a stand up shower
Offering direct access to the beach, this Bar Harbor hotel is in the city center, steps from Newlin Gardens and Beatrix Farrand Gardens. George B. Dorr Museum of Natural History and College of the Atlantic Natural History Museum are also within 5 minutes.
Pros: Very clean, comfy, accommodating, and in a great location next to the park entrance and town.
Cons: Wish they had more options for breakfast such as scrambled eggs and bacon, ham, or sausage. Lots of variety, but lacking in some breakfast foods.
