Pros: Averything that you may expect from a casa rural. Friendly and helpul hosts.
Pros: The proprietors were helpful and made us feel home from home. Excellent
Pros: Lovely couple run this Casa rural
When you stay at Hotel Delphos in Moraleja, you'll be steps from Sierra de Gata. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
Pros: This was a pure value for money proposition. Our rate was 40 euro including breakfast. The room was spotless. The beds were comfy. The towels were large and a decent breakfast of great coffee and tostadas and preserves was included....the owner even threw in a few slices of delicious iberico ham.
Pros: A great family run hotel that was clean comfortable with a modern air conditioned bedroom with ample sized bathroom. The family and staff were so friendly and helpful. Fluent English was spoken by the father and son. Local secure parking was available. Ideal for one or two night stay. We were on motorcycles.
Pros: Convienient Location in a small quiet town near the boarder between Spain and Portugal. Great coffee for breakfast. Great price for what you get, it is very practical Considering a small town, this could be your best choice.
Cons: A bit update could be nicer, then the price would go a bit higher as well, I guess.
When you stay at Hotel La Encomienda in Moraleja, you'll be steps from Sierra de Gata. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
Cons: Do not park alongside the church tower. The pigeons leave evidence of their nocturnal visit!
Pros: Great hotel for a one night stop! The person who checked me in was very nice, even though it was at 1.30am.
A stay at Hotel AHC Palacio Coria places you in the heart of Coria, steps from Coria Cathedral and Museo de la Carcel Real. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, a 24-hour front desk, and luggage storage. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
Pros: Food and location.
Cons: Staff a bit lazy. Even though Sandra is the best one.
Pros: Gorgeous location and building. Friendly stuff
Cons: We expected better quality breakfast
Pros: This hotel is located in the former episcopal palace right in front of the massive cathedral. Since it is on a plaza there is plenty of parking. In fact we parked right next to the entrance. This hotel is all about location. Spectacular views of the Alagón River are only a few steps away and you can walk around the narrow streets of the old walled town, which is filled with well-preserved stately homes of the sixteenth and seventeenth nobility. The people at reception were friendly and helpful. There is a high-quality restaurant on the premises although we didn't eat breakfast there preferring to have coffee and toast for 2.20EUR at the small cafeteria.
Cons: Not really a four-star but comfortable nevertheless. Access can be a problem at first especially if you have a large car since the streets are narrow and maze-like. This of course is not the hotel's fault but that of medieval planners who had no idea later generations would drive cars.
Pros: Great hotel in an historic building right in the middle of town. Very good room with excellent facilities for our son who is in a wheelchair. Comfortable beds, very friendly and helpful staff who directed us to local restaurants and sites. Amazing view from the terrace beside the Cathedral.
Pros: Room was large & good value for money
Cons: Breakfast could have offered more than 1 cereal
Pros: A very beautiful historic building. Staff very helpful. Position perfect.
Pros: We had very positive impression of our stay in this converted bishops Palace. Tranquility and privacy of the stay would be on top of our list. Also easy to park within the Walls of Old Town, proximity to best sides in Coria (Cathedral is just 50 meters away) ancient bridge and museums. Great place for relaxed stay. Rooms are reasonably fitted and comfortable.
Cons: Due to stylish lamps the room was a bit dark after dusk.
Pros: Beautifully updated old building. Great breakfast buffet. We ate at the restaurant once and it was excellent. Friendly and helpful staff.
Pros: The receptionist absolutely exceeded our expectations by organising early evening food for us. The restaurant didn't open until 9 pm, but as we had travelled 3 hours to get to Coria, the receptionist (who also helped us to upgrade our room) contacted her colleague who made us a couple of tapas dishes to 'see us through'. The staff in the bar were brilliant, evening meal was great (we decided not to eat in the restaurant) and the breakfast (also served in the little bar) was lovely ..... toasted baguettes with fresh tomato purée with fresh, unprocessed cheese. The view from our upgrade room was amazing, right next to the cathedral. We sat with a glass of wine, some crisps and simply enjoyed the experience. I also liked the fact that you can drive right up to the entrance and park there .... overnight for free.
Cons: The restaurant didn't open until 9pm, which is too late. It may be because it was November, so out of season. The room we were offered at the special booking.com price was slightly under ground level with a window high up to produce some early November light. However, it only cost 10 Euros to upgrade to a lovely big room with a brilliant view of the Cathedral.
Cons: No heating in bathroom. No enough plugs. No night table

Pros: Considerate staff and comfy rooms, convenient location by maid road and on the edge of a sizeable town. Excellent spot for someone travelling around the area.
Cons: Nothing. I would use it again.
