The location is exellent, in the heart of the city, close to main shops, with interesting local pubs. The staff are very pleasent, helpful, obliging, they work hard and smile easily. The breakfast was very good.
The room was so cold,it became unbearable, none of the radiators on the landing outside our room were turned on, there was absolutely no heat coming from our radiator, the draught coming through the window were my bed was situated was horrendous, both my friend and i got into our beds fully clothed, with scarves and gloves, and I eventually had to share my friends bed to gain some body heat. my son swapped rooms with us, because his radiator was working. we were awake for most of the night because of the cold
Room was clean and warm, shower and TV worked properly. Staff were friendly and helpful. Service was prompt.
Decor dated, hotel parking limited, stairs very steep. Light over 1 bed did not work. This is an older hotel so it is difficult to bring it to the standard of a moden hotel but we felt this should be reflected in the price. The hotel could make better use of their great location and history in the area and improve bar and restaurant facilities to bring more local customers to the hotel and to encourage residents to use those facilities more. Breadfast was ordinary enough, could have been more "gourmet" with much better choices. Local cafe offered a better breakfast for less. Hotel bar closed at 11pm, you could only get bottled drinks from night porter. Felt overall we were paying a lot for the room and for breakfast (which was extra).
friendly staff, parking, location,
the hotel is overpriced, the rooms are extremely basic
caught up with friends , used the city as a central meeting point , also did some shopping
The sweets on the counter, the location, generous bedding provision
the smell in the room, not being able to put our passports in the safe because the manger wasn't there at the time.
It is very near city centre and bus station. Located at a very quiet street
Large comfortable room right in city centre
I think that for the price I paid breakfast should have been included
Good location, not far from the center and bus station; however music bars across the street can be noisy on a weekend night
The building doesn't look too good on the outside, however the room was good. The continental breakfast paid separately wasn't impressive, I should have tried an Irish one at the surrounding pubs.
Location and friendlines of staff
Problem with warm water from cold tap
