the staff was extremely nice
the room was musty and smelled terrible. The hotel is located in a remote area that had a bridge close by that was noisy. Although located on the bay which is nice, the hotel looks run down and was not kept up to par. I had to use facilities elsewhere.
The location is ideal for access to family oriented attractions.
The trade off for location is that you get facilities that are mostly adequate but can leave you feeling underwhelmed. The staff mostly tries to make up for what the hotel is missing in amenities.
Pool and hot tub were great.
When checking in, the room assigned to me was already occupied. The front desk assigned us to another room which wasn't quite as clean as it should have been. There was old coffee in coffee pot, drink stains on furniture and several little (tiny)roaches
Front desk couldn't care less about anything including customer service.
Location was great... On the beach & walking distance of the USS Lexington
The bathroom space was crowded & the room was very small.. Nothing like what was advertised.
The continental breakfast was very nice and parking was great.
The pool felt dirty and was full of loose long hair.
Location, didnt really have to drive anywhere, walking distance to restraunts.Pool area was great!.
Just that its an old hotel. It be really, really nice if it where alittle updated. Saw a little roach on the wall behind the food area on the last day.
The location and the outdoor pool and spa
Very musty odor when entering lobby, unairconditioned hallways, hair on bathroom counter, shower, and floor.
The room wasn't very clean, found a few skittles in the room when we first arrived. It also would've been nice to know that we would be charged $20 per night pet fee before booking the room.
The beds were horribly uncomfortable. The refrigerator kept things slightly cooler than room temperature. The airconditioner wouldnt keep the room cool. It leaked and made the balcony unuseable. We found dirty socks on the second day and they werent ours
Location was fine
It's dirty. Like a dirty diaper dirty
Very close to the Beach and walking distance to the aquarium and to the USS Lexington. Plenty of Towels and nice Pool View.
The Free breakfast line was ridiculously long! The room didn't stay as cold as we would have liked, the beds were not Queen sized they were only Full sized not much moving space and we found a baby Roach in our restroom.
The location to the beach
It had a strange smell
The picture is exactly what we saw off our balcony. Absolutely beautiful
Room was nice and cozy. Perfect view.
Lack of parking
This motel was right on the beach! It is older but nice for the price. It was very easy to get to. There were lots to do in that area.
The rooms smelled musty at times.
pool area was really nice, close to the beach and other attractions.
a little old looking.
At the door to the room I made the comment to my daughter that the filthy door was possibly a sign of the filth inside of the room... Omg, the room was disgustingly dirty. Roach trails, dead flies, not wiped down, dirty floor & bedding.
Originally, I was a little concerned when I was told I'd have to pay extra for a handicapped accessible room since my room I was on the 2nd floor; however, upon checkin I was on the 1st floor. Nice clean pool, on beach location, great breakfast.
Phone staff rude and unfriendly was not helpful and tried to make me pay extra for a handicapped accessible room! Is that even legal?? They look down on reservations made on 3rd party sites.
Location was my favorite
I was deeply disappointed . When we came back to the small cramped room I turned down my sheets to find blood on my sheets and blanket. The restroom was full of mold in the shower and dirt and Mildew the floor. Aside from roaches on the walls
I like the location, and the nice pool area.
The breakfast needs to add biscuits and gravy to menu for fincky, children.
Rooms, Hotel itself was 3rd class
The location is perfect. It is a very short walk to all the main places we wanted to go like the USS Lexington, the Texas State Aquarium, wonderful restaurants, gift shops, and the beach is on the other side of the pool.
The hallway on the second floor is not air conditioned and there is no elevator. Also the staff person who checked us in was not very friendly or helpful. Everyone else was great though.
The room I booked had a patio on the beach. Free breakfast is always a plus.
The sleeper sofa matress was as flat as a sheet of paper. You could literally feel the bars underneath.
Location was great, right on the beach. Walking distance to USS Lexington, Aquarium and restaurants. The free breakfast was good with a variety of scrambled or boiled eggs, sausage patties, toast, muffins, fruit, cereal, oatmeal, waffles, juice, coffee.
This is an older Hotel, so don't expect perfection with appearance. We turned our air off when we went out for a while. When he came back there was a horrible smell That was unbearable in the room. However,we turned the air on and the smell went away.
Location. It is right on the beach. The breakfast was extremly good!
The room smelled like mold. The priceline site described the room as having a 'veiw'. But when I asked why we had none, the clerk said it was a mistake.
The clerk was very nice and gave me directions to the hotel.
I was given a smoking room and since I don't smoke the smell was strong. The shower door did not close well so there was water all over the floor. There was no soap dish or area to put soap, wash cloth or shampoo/conditioner.
I had only one person in the front desk that was very attentive. Price lines pictures are not true!
We did not stay the two nights that we booked, our intial room had an awful smell so they switched us to another in which was not clean at all .. The couch pull out was not usable, the mattress was stained and the mattress itself was ripped and not usable
Everything, this hotel was so nasty I ended my suppose to be relaxing getaway sooner than planned.
too many to name. the hotel has a dated look. The staff was helpful but it is hard to change the impression you get from the dark halls and dull carpeted interior. Their owners or managers need to look at the hotel next door to see what I mean.
Not enough parking. Fight outside 2nd floor around midnight. So obviously they do not observe what's happening outside during the night. AC was leaking onto carpet.
Location was the best thing
Didn't like that the room smelled muggy when u got in to then find the ac was not working however the staff was great and accommodated me to a room with working ac
Location - how close it was to the beach.
Very much in need of repairs. Better maintenance needed.
I liked the pool, hot tub, and kiddie pool. We also liked the location right on the bay and next door to Blackbeards.
We didn't really get to use the pool because a family had about 8 people packed in the hot tub and had their older kids jumping in and out of the kiddie pool and I didn't want my 2 year old to get knocked underwater. Also, one small roach was in the room.
