Excellent service by Alfonso, who likes his guests and will go the extra bit in order secure their comfort and pleasant stay. Very good food (spefically the Gazpacho). Nothing to report.
The view was beautiful and just about made up for the things we did not like. Only having 2 tables and 4 chairs between at least 6 rooms on the ground floor terrace, it was a bit like claiming sunbeds round a swimming pool. Getting charged E1.80 for 2 bread rolls at dinner. The dinner selection was limited with no menu of the day only "a la carte" choices. The first room they put us in had a bad odour apparently due to flooding problems last year, although they did actually us move to another room the next day when we complained. The air conditioning did not cool the room during the night although appeared to work perfectly during the day.
Very peaceful, fabulous views, friendly staff, excellent food, lovely room, glorious countryside, charming local village with fascinating cave system and ham museum. Needs a better sign off the main road! Hard to find and only a narrow rough track for access. Lots of "Can it really be down here?" Moments (though worth persevering!). Maybe this hotel hasn't been open for long & a few rough edges still visible, but staff extremely willing to cope and delightful. A winner for 12 months time!
Very nice host who speaks very good english. The menu was very flexible and creative (I'm a vegetarian). In one statement a very nice, clean and well-equiped hotel. Very difficult internet-connection & no wireles-connection because of the remote area
The feeling of being completely removed from everyday cares and worries.
Really friendly and helpful staff. Great place.
There was a lovely view from the verandha outside the room. A pretty country type room and good shower/bath. A general housekeeper who was always on hand tried very hard to be helpful when tv wouldn't work or we needed extra towels. Hotel badly signed (on a bin by the side of the road - very easily missed). The access road was rutted. The room was smelly (drains possibly) and we were unable to leave the window or door open as the place was full of flies due to the proximity of livestock down the hill. The swimming pool was filthy and unusable (someone had started to clean it but the task was abandoned for some reason)A nice breakfast on the first morning got steadily worse with flies settling on the uncovered food.
This was an excellent vacation break!! I was willing to discover a bit of the Spanish country side, rather than the typical beach and coastal destinations that popular among Brit and Irish travelers... and the experience is highly recommendable! The hotel location is superb, surrounded of mountains, wild life and stunning landscapes! The owner and staff were very helpful and spoke very good English!! Made us feel home!!! We really had a blast! Delicious food was served in the bistro and everywhere around the area!! Again, highly recommended for those looking for a vacation/weekend break in an alternative rural/countryside destination!! WILL be back! THX folks!
Lovely stay, would highly recommend it to others and will definitely come back myself !! Hotel and staff were extraordinary, but, above everything, there's lots of things to see and do round the area!! Beautiful countryside! Delicious local cuisine! Glorious weather!! Especially enjoyed visit to Jabugo (town within an hour drive) and tour to "Gruta de las maravillas", spectacular cave system underground Aracena!! Undoubtedly worth seen! And worth it to stay in La Era de Aracena. I'll see yous again!
Nice cottage with fire wood. Outside garden and the mountain is more than beautiful. 3 black pigs welcomed us, which are for the famous Hammon Iberico. also close to the main roand and town. It was a bit cold in the morning, in 31 of March.
is was quiet, nice, spacious, relaxing.... no
The quiet, rural position but very close to the centre of Aracena. The particular time was very cold and for the first night the place was a bit too chilly, but the hotel did respond to the situation and it improved considerably on the second night.
quiet country setting, friendly staff the bar had roun out of beer!
Convenient to Aracena. There was an opportunity to give feed-back. The self-catering option gives very poor accommodation, very poor value for money.
The bathroom should have a hairdryer
Lovely rustic cottage/apartment in a beautiful, relaxing setting. Very quiet and surrounded by nature. Will visit again shortly.
glorious location, lovely weather, comfortable room, we spent our two days walking the way-marked footpaths from the village of Galaroza. The hotel itself was spotless, the location and weather cold,nt have been better, it was such a pity that the warmth was,nt reflected in the attitude of the staff. We were not made to feel welcome, we were barely spoken to, not many smiles evident..
nice (only spanish speaking) people no elevator; everything (food, room, bar) ordinary: not good and not bad.
Nice, rustic setting for a quiet week-end getaway. We had to wait for breakfast service which was the basic coffee, toast and spread. Am not sure if it is better in the summer.
The hotel was well situated in Aracena, numerous bars and restaurants close at hand, quiet hotel. Enjoyed our stay.
The position which was close to all the attractions On the Friday night the noise for the Nightclub opposite was unbearable it went on till 4.30 in the morning, singing , shouting car doors banging.
Basicaly what the hotel offers is a very center location very very near to the caves. The room is very old and the bads are unconfortable.
