Pros: We chose this accommodation with our family for overnight stay on the way to the Cote d'Azur. The room was spacious, clean, quiet with a very well functioning air condition. The whole family was impressed by the room with the bathroom and the surrounding area. Breakfast is brillant. Many ingredients for breakfast are produced in their own garden. Sabrina is one beautiful, kind, warm person like a smiling sunshine.

Pros: - Close to highway and still out in nature where it‘s calm - Nicely renovated farm, simple but beautiful rooms - Everything you need for a short stay (or overnight like we did)
Cons: - Not a big issue but since the rooms are quiet spacious, you could easily fit an armchair or a small sofa, it would make it instantly even more comfortable and charming

Pros: Beautifully renovated and lovely hosts. Comfortable bed, quiet and lovely and warm (it was February). Simple but wonderful breakfast.
Cons: Nothing
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: Beautiful restored farmhouseon a Beautiful location. Use of high quality building materials
Cons: We arrived at 16:30 (check-in time on booking.com). The host told us to wait for 30 min as 17:00 was the 'new' check-in time. After waiting for 30 min with 2 small kids in 35°C+ weather without being offered anything, we noticed that he let other guests (who arrived later) check-in before us. This was the start of numerous unpleasant experiences with the host. During check-in, there were a thousand rules laid out for us. The funniest and most interesting was the rule that at his property the smallest kid should wear diapers???? Perhaps a bad experience in the past? The host was not friendly at all, apparently we should have booked two rooms (with 2 toddlers, how do you do this?). Nevertheless booking.com allowed us to book 1 room for the 4 of us. The host charged us more... Be careful! The swimming pool is also not included in the booking.com price. You will be charged extra if you like to use the pool. This was written on the booking.comwebsite (but very small). This I missed. The room was clean but had no where to sit, only a bed. There is no AC. The host is not very considerate, on our leaving day, the swimming pool is (deliberately?) closed until after checkout. We would have loved to have another dip during these 35+°C days. But then again, what could we have expected... It seems that the host has no experience with booking.com nor other quests and likes to change the rules according to who is in front of him. We felt very unwelcome. Let this horrible host not determine your image of all the very welcoming Italians!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The place was nicely renovated. The breakfast was very personal and good. The host gave a lot of good tips. Ask him about restaurants. His recommendation of trattoria Luigi is worth following. He met us when we came.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful setting and very comfortable accommodation. Even our bikes got a cool safe space. The hosts were amazing and the food was just the best. I didn’t mean to eat it all but couldn’t help myself.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: A huge barn converted, exposed brickwork and stone..
Cons: We were in the attic, it was a bit hot despite air con.. ceiling was too low in such a huge building , not the best of rooms despite being described as superior...the only downside of this stay.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The lady in charge was so helpful and friendly and spoke good English. The restaurant next door was shut so she offered dinner which was excellent and plentiful!! Breakfast also, couldn't have been better.
Cons: Not the prettiest of outlooks but wasn't an issue, the room was the best I've stayed in on my trip to Italy so far!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This delightful agriturismo is located directly on the Via Francigena so was perfect for us, as we were walking from Pavia to Fidenza. Our room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. We were offered dinner, which was reasonably priced and delicious, with local wine and produce. Breakfast was very generous and included jams made at the farm. We thoroughly recommend staying here.
Cons: Nothing - it was perfect.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful room and surroundings. Very helpful hostess. Facet us dinner as we had no car
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Overall excellent. Could not find anything to improve. Got lost in town with the GPS (the address is on a Street without numbers, and the Street itself cuts at some point, so the GPS was sending me to a dead end), but I called the host, and she directed me, and was able to find the place. And all this at 11pm! The following day, the host showed us their produce. They have a small store where they sell preserved vegetables, we bought them and ate them a few days later, they were fantastic.
Cons: Nothing. Everything was perfect.

Pros: Cozy rooms in a villa where you feel at home by your mom. Villa with beautiful garden. Parking behind the gate on private land. The host is very nice. Absolutely perfect and unforgettable breakfast in the beautiful garden, painted by Andrea Boccelli.
Cons: There is no restaurant on foot or possibility wher to buy something, so you need a car to go for a dinner.

Pros: We liked everything! From our arrival until we left. Our bedroom was extremely comfortable and had everything in it that we could want. The food and wine were exceptionally good and it was lovely to eat in the floodlit garden. Breakfast met every need and it was lovely to eat it in the beautiful dining room. The architect deserves a special mention because he/she has created a truly remarkable hotel.
Cons: We didn’t like leaving!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Could not rate our experience at this hotel high enough. Our dining experience was delightful, the staff and food were outstanding. We certainly would highly recommend this hotel to all travellers. The wine and limoncello beautiful.
Cons: Nothing
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Restaurant food and wine very good
Cons: Proximity to motorway and the noise.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The heart of this ‘relais’ is, without doubt, the excellent restaurant, and by extension, the team who look after one so well. The food was a combination of classic italian cuisine mixed with a variety of local dishes, all expertly prepared and beautifully presented. A fine selection of Italian wines, reasonably priced, accompanied the menu. We cannot speak highly enough of the warmth and friendliness of the two ladies managing the restaurant. There is the option of dining indoors or ‘al fresco’ in the nicely maintained courtyard, weather permitting. With the aid of GPS or the instructions provided by the ‘relais’, the premises are fairly easy to locate, and offer a good base from which to visit nearby towns and villages, especially Parma and Cremona, before returning to the calm of the countryside and a relaxing dinner. Our room was well equipped and spacious, and we enjoyed the style with which the rooms had been tastefully decorated and furnished. Wi-fi connections worked brilliantly. Parking was easy and secure.
Cons: The breakfast did not remotely match the standard of the restaurant for lunch and dinner, It would have been nice, for example, to have had a better selection of foods, including milk to accompany the cereals, or fresh fruit juices, or fresh bread. We were a little surprised, on arrival, to have to search for the reception and to be pointed in the direction of our room, especially since we were, at that time, the only guests in the ‘relais’. It would also be nice if, having already provided a good range of seating outside in the gardens, the ‘relais’ could provide seat cushions! Having said all of this, we would happily return.
4.5 Okay
Pros: I really wish I could have given this place a great rating as our first impression was great. It's a beautiful country house, nicely re-done and has an amazing restaurant with some of the best pasta we ever had. We also had excellent wine and great service at the restaurant. BUT...
Cons: the place is in the middle of nowhere, so we were expecting a quiet night and hoping to get a good rest. Unfortunately this place is next to a high way which is noise 24/7. The biggest issue however was, that the hotel was hosting a party with a DJ for a big group. We couldn't sleep at all as it was loud until 3 in the morning. Nobody told us about that so we thought we'll give it until midnight. Since the music didn't stop we called reception at midnight and we were told the DJ would continue for another hour. Unfortunately it didn't! When we were checking out the offered us about 10 EUR discount for a nightmare of a night... The breakfast isn't great, only stale bread and some sweet stuff, doesn't match the quality of the restaurant.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The global set-up is ok, rooms are nice
Cons: Location is poor - access not easy to find (not on my GPS and without GPS ... huge challenge). The price at 115 EUR/night versus a location in the middle of nowhere, highway at 200 m (NOISE).... more appropriate at 60 EUR/night
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The park and the old renovated buildings
Cons: Very nice place but difficult to find. Eating a bit limited and expensive but very good
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Restaurant
Cons: Traffic noise and neighbours talking and walking until 3 am

Pros: Great themed hotel with attention to personal details in the interior. NIce bar (perfect Italian coffe) and very good, popular inhouse restaurant. Details of interior keeps your eyes wandering all evening and adds to the evening discussions. Parking within gates. Close walking the centre of city.
Cons: A quilt instead of sheets but this is Italy
7.5 Good
Pros: Location- on the Via Francigena
Cons: It is on the Main Street and it was very loud at night, perhaps because there was a bar right outside our room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: My second stay here and it was great - again. A lovely old school kind of place. Really welcoming friendly staff. Rooms are what you would expect for the price - basic but spotlessly clean and comfortable. This place has a lovely atmosphere and they remembered me from my first visit too. This time I ate dinner - wow!! The restaurant is the highlight of this Hotel - great great food, local specialities, simply but beautifully cooked. And a fantastic soundtrack in the background too - not only can these guys cook but they know their tunes too!!!
Cons: If I have to find one thing to grumble about... the wifi is a bit on the slow side. But who needs wi-fi when you're stuffing your face in the restaurant :)
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Great breakfast.
Cons: WiFi weak on the second floor but good downstairs.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Good value rooms. Free parking. Town centre location. The main attraction for me is the restaurant. Always local, seasonal produce. I have stayed here many times. Easily the best restaurant in town. Staff speak good english. The attached cafe is also good.
Cons: Rooms are basic, but more than adequate.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Really friendly and helpful staff. Convenient location. Very comfy bed. Meticulously clean. All in all a top quality independent Hotel with lots of character. I am coming back again in 5 days time and will look forward to my second stay.
Cons: If I have to be really picky - there is no lift to the rooms so I had to carry a heavy bag up one flight of stairs - It didn't kill me though!!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice common kitchen and terrace area available for guest use. Room and bathroom new and modern.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Everything was fine.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was ideally located in the town centre. As well as being within walking distance of the railway station there was plenty of free parking seconds away.
Cons: The hotel is set over the third floor of the building with only a handful of rooms. The communal area has a mini kitchen where you can help yourself to hot drinks and water at any time and leads out on to a sizeable terrace area. We loved the concept and lay out of the entire space which gave the sense of being in an apartment as opposed to a restricting hotel room. The entire area was impeccably clean, modern and the thoughtful choice of mattress insured a very comfortable night’s sleep. The staff were easily available, incredibly friendly and very accommodating. I will definitely be staying there again and will be highly recommending it.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Helpful staff. Cool little hotel. Nice room with all the amenities.
7.0 Good
Pros: brkfast
Cons: hotel does not have any reception area to receive Guest and more or less it looks like hotel apartment. they don't have any proper welcome for the guest. I don't want to visit these hotel again.

Cons: -
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Hotel was spacious, clean and tidy. I was extremely impressed and grateful to the owner as I had transport problems, and so they were so kind as to take me into Busseto in their own car.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Good continental breakfast - but it was the restaurant and pizzeria that excelled. The restaurant had a great range of local dishes (all mentioned in the excellent Blue guide to Italian food) which were expertly cooked and presented at very reasonabe prices. The pizzeria had a huge range of toppings - once more using local produce and proving extremely tasty. All staff were exemplary and pleasant. The rooms although a little old fashioned were clean and well appointed, resulting in a great value stay.
7.0 Good
Pros: Friendly hotel with good food.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Friendly hotel with an old-world feel to it. Next door to the birthplace of the magnificent Verdi. What a fantastic restaurant!!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Owners/management are great! This time we got in really late (after 1 am) and the owner waited up half the night for us to arrive and still greeted us with a big smile. All in all, staying here is always a nice experience.
Cons: The two separate beds are a bit on the small side (we had a 4 people room).

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff Airy bright large room Hot water for several consecutive showers Functional kitchen in room Good breakfast Wonderful restaurant
Cons: Could have used more pillows Could have used more storage room for clothes Unreliable Wifi
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Busseto: Alle Roncole Ristorante con Locanda. In a small town outside of Busseto, Roncole-Verdi, you’ll find this quiet B&B-plus restaurant, a perfect place to eat, or stay if you are going to the opera in Busseto. You can watch their pizzaiolo from Napoli make your order in their wood fired oven. Our room was a superior double on the first floor. The bed was a renaissance revival style-the room sported wooden furniture, fabric swags and tassels. Screen equipped windows! Huge bathroom! The lovely man who ran the place made us feel at home. So why go there? It’s all about opera! The surrounding area is the birth place of Giuseppe Verdi and the place where Giovanni Guareschi, author of the series of books, of the beloved “Don Camillo and Prepone”, had lived since 1952 until his death. You can visit Villa Verdi (and garden) by a guided tour, in Italian and possibly in English. Best to reserve in advance.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: We enjoyed our stay and the food in the restaurant was excellent. Easy parking.

9.3 Excellent
Pros: Excellent staff service; the efficiency with which notions & facts are passed along with the pro-active attention to satisfying any request also shows in the pleasent comfortness of the hotel. Excellent structure, nicely built & easy to find. The rooms are very well done, spacious, luminous, modern & with all the necessary basics - same goes for the bathroom. The aircon-heating system is well balanced & soundless. Very good buffet breakfast. Piacenza is 15' away, very feasable.
Cons: nothing

Cons: Slightly quirky room decoration. Just not really our taste.

Rooms at Due Foscari are fitted with antique wooden furniture and they are all air conditioned. Each has a TV, minibar and parquet floors. 8.8 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful interior, great location, friendly staff, very good breakfast
Cons: There was an issue with water pressure in the room. I trust it ws a temporary one.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very lovely hotel in the centre of town with an excellent location and a wonderful connection with Verdi operas through the original owner of the hotel, the fabulous Verdi tenor M. Bergonzi and now his son is the owner/manager. Excellent value for money.
Cons: This is an unnecessary question, as I have already stated my pleasure with the hotel.
5.5 Okay
Pros: Well-situated in a quiet, very central square in the old town. An imposing and attractive exterior which promised well. Free parking in the square. Good breakfast, with pleasant service.
Cons: A charmless welcome from the afternoon receptionist, unusual in our experience of this country, despite our communicating in Italian. The advertised secure off-road parking was not made available as there was sufficient street parking. Our room was spacious but soulless and spartan, although the large bathroom was perfectly acceptable. There was no welcome folder with information about the facilities, the interesting building itself or local places of interest. Apart from the breakfast provision with its pleasant service, we felt that this hotel seemed to be resting on its laurels and doing the minimum possible to get by.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: If you want to be in Busseto, this is the only place to be. Wonderfully situated right off the square with Verdi's statue visible from my room, I enjoyed being in Verdi's hometown. The breakfast was quite nice and the building is charming on the inside and out. The staff was quite helpful and friendly. There was very good internet access.
Cons: The rooms could use some updating. It was tough to find an electrical outlet for charging electronics.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Great location next to the Verdi theather. Impressive interior from the belle epoque, Big clean room with a small terrace and old style airconditioning. Staff is polite and helpful. The village itself is beautiful with nice reastaurants and small botegas offering cullatelo and parmigiano.
Cons: Limited parking spots, old squeaky bed.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Location, breakfast, and friendliness of breakfast staff.
Cons: The bed was very uncomfortable and the wooden slats squeaked. The management place plywood under the mattress to make it firmer, but it didn't solve the squeaking problem. There was no hot water in our room until the morning of our departure, no AC, and no electrical outlets by the bed. The hotel has character and location, but is in dire need of updates.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location, courtesy of staff, bed comfort
Cons: Size and comfort of bathroom, lack of power points near the bed, cappuccino
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is excellent, perfect as a base for touring the area. The staircase in the entrance hall is eye catching.
Cons: The hotel is in need of renovations, especially the bathrooms. There is a tub with a shower, but no shower curtain. The furnishings in general are worn and old.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: If you’re going to the opera, it’s next door. You can go back in the interval if there’s a queue for the loo! And the owner is particularly helpful.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Room was very pleasant and beds excellent. Spacious bathroom. The garden and farm were a gentle and peaceful surrounding on arriving and in the Via francigena.
Cons: The night we stayed there was an unexpected party in the garden in front of our room/ground level and the music ended past 2h am. The Battibue manager had conscience of this and should inform guests of this possible incompatibility for those looking for a restful night so they could change their choice for staying in Fiorenzuola d'Arda. We tried to have a shorter dinner choice but the price stayed high (4 course dinner plus drinks at 26€ - we had twice the dose of risotto plus water/wine at 20€).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was OK. It is a real pet friendly accomodation. You must try their dinner.
Cons: Everything was OK.
8.8 Excellent
Cons: Would be helpful for the profile to state the restaurant is not open every day.

5.8 Okay
Pros: The character of the old castle.
Cons: I booked a Superior Room because the photos showed it to be a large room with a bath. When we checked in we were given a small room with no bath, the same as the Standard Room. When I questioned this I was told the room we were given was a Superior Room, which costs more than the Standard Room. We could not see much difference between the rooms. We were told that there was only one room in the hotel that looked like the photos and that room had already been booked. I told the check in girl that if they supply photos of that room then we have to be given that room as we booked it because of the photos. After further conversations she agreed to give us the room because the people that had booked it before us had not yet checked in so they would have been bumped to the smaller room with no bath. I bet they were happy!!! Hotels can not put up photos of a room that is a lot different to the room they are going to provide. Booking.com needs to look at this. If there was only one room of this type in the hotel then it should have shown as not available rather than let me book it and pay the extra price. Their description shows a restaurant but when we got there at 7.00pm the restaurant was not open. We asked where we could go for dinner and was referred to a place in this very small village only to find that closed to, We could not find anywhere open. Luckily we had some biscuits and cheese left over from a picnic so that was our dinner that night. Thank god we only booked for the one night. The furniture is showing lots of wear and tear and needs updating.
6.8 Good
Pros: Unique building in nice surrounds. Large rooms with many original features. Extremely large comfortable bed..
Cons: Room noisy from early morning traffic, wire coat hangers, no complementory tissues or water in the room. Lack of facilities until restaurant opening at 19.30. Breakfast very poor. Quality of OJ and bread poor supermarket fare.
7.0 Good
Pros: Beautifully renovated building and grounds.
Cons: Beautiful building and grounds which are not living up to their full potential. Not enough staff, the few that were there were all very nice and very helpful, and not well organized. Rooms were rather tackily decorated: lots of tulle and fake flowers. Such a pity.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Easy to find from the Bologna/Milano motorway. An impressive building and lovely grounds. Receptionist Renata was most helpful and informative! The indoor spa/jacuzzi was good to wake us up after a long drive! There was a wedding in the grounds and was fun to hear the music - all quiet by early evening. We enjoyed the restaurant - the tagliata of steak was especially good and perfectly cooked. Sabrina was sweet and gave us good advice on wine and food. We ate outside in the courtyard as the sun set on the tower. Natalia greeted us for breakfast in the morning with smiles and was kind and friendly. We loved all the fruits and delicious croissants filled with either chocolate or pistachio! We loved the outdoor pool too and had the place to ourselves! Thank you to all the staff - you were all great ! We had a memorable stay - we hope to return! best wishes from Kevin, Jane, Lucy & Emily

6.8 Good
Cons: They hold private functions which go on until early morning so very noisy.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The lovely rooms and nice swimming pool
Cons: The breakfast.
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: The swimming pool would have been nice if they had not been cutting the grass for the entire 2hrs.
Cons: The staff were not very welcoming, the property and rooms were right next to a busy and noisy road. The rooms was dirty and dusty. We asked about the restaurant and we're only offered a table, on our own in a huge courtyard, with no protection from the mosquitoes. The menu was overpriced for the location.

Pros: Staff very nice. I arrived a lot earlier than check in time and the lady let me in (I asked to just leave the luggage and she said if I waited 15min she could finish the room and let ne in. That was very nice.)
Cons: Breakfast could have been a bit better.
5.8 Okay
Cons: The hotel check in policy of 5 pm seems rigid. Even after two requests to at least leave our bags earlier, we had to wait until 5. As tired pilgrims, we felt it was an unreasonably late check in policy.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Location, lovely room, very nice pictures and furniture. Had a kettle in the room to make tea.☺
Cons: Breakfast was below standard, we are walking the Via Francigena and there was no bread, cheese, fruit egg or muesli. The croissants were also rationed.

Pros: The manager was a lovely welcoming fellow who spoke good English and made me very at home. He allowed me to store my bike indoors in a secure location. The restaurant attached was fantastic. Great service, terrific food for an amazing price. The house wine was decent and the lasagna and cutoletta Milanese fantastic. Better than the high end place I was in the day before!
Cons: I didn’t realize this was basically a trucker’s stop right off a busy intersection. But I felt safe and the staff made up for it.
