Excellent view over pastures and mountains. Large comfortable room.
I liked the terrific scenery and view from our hotel window. The room was very clean and beds comfortable THe reception staff were not welcoming. On arrival we were told the restaurant was fully booked but we could order in the bar. we waited one and a half hours for a roll, when it came half of it was frozen in the middle - my husbands was barely edible and then he had an upset stomach that night so we did not take breakfast instead we drove to Potes for breakfast
Fantastic location for hikers.
The location of the hotel was excellent and staff very friendly
very old fasion but very nice hotel , prime location near the mountain i like there everythink
Affordable luxuary in a fantastic natural setting Waitress rushed us with our order for evening meal because we took a little time translating the menu and making our choice
the room was very clean and comfortable staff seemed uninterested, dinner menu was very expensive with no alternatives
Very handy for cable car and walking up a dead end but beautifull valley in the Picos mountains. Nothing but nothing in the way of community, hotel is isolated (which for some may be a very good point).
location appearence from ouside not great - dated but fine inside
Its location, at the end of a mountain road, surrounded by mountains. The room and indoor balcony with fabulous views.
Great balcony with wonderful views!
The view from our room was stunning. The owners were very friendly and helpful. The sound proofing could be better.
A lovely rural hotel in a farming area, very friendly helpful owners. The Hotel had a truly relaxing and family feel. The sitting room area felt very homely and was full of books and magazines, and other things belonging to the family. Even though we spoke very little spanish all our needs were fulfilled. The mountain views from our bedroom balcony were stunning, and we loved the sound of the sheep with bells around their necks. Some late night Spanish arrivals were very noisy. This could happen anywhere.
This is a very nice small hotel in one of the most beautiful surroundings imaginable. The views from the rooms and the yards is fabulous. Sorry we didn't allot more time for this stop.
idyllic rural setting; beautifully appointed old building, tastefully restored; balcony off room; mountains nearby the breakfast was only ok; something hot like bacon, or even cold meat or cheese would have been nice
The hotel was at a great location (at the Pixus de Europe), capacious, comfortable, well accessorized and beautiful rooms. Big parking next to the hotel. The staff did not speak English. We had difficult time finding the place because the name of the village on Booking site was of Camaleño and the Hotel was located 1Km from there (Look for little sign on the main road for San Pelayo)
Superb location and helpful staff.
wonderful views, staff incredibly helpful and friendly
Warm and friendly welcome with attention to detail. Stunning views from bedroom.
The owners were delightful and made you feel at home, going out of their way to assist even down to lending you their own umbrellas when it rained. The breakfast was delicious with small little pancakes that melt in the mouth. The rooms were comfortable and led onto a balcony withh terrific views
lovely rooms, good selection at breakfast
I liked location of the hotel. Room was clean and quiet surrounding. I didn't like that instead of 5 euro for breakfast per person, like was stated, I was charged 32 euro for 2 persons taking breakfast only twice during our stay. Unfortunately, I discovered that later.
Location and quality of service. This is an great little hotel in a beautiful location. Staff were professional at all times. Food standards were excellent.
the location of the hotel is very good, we did not want to stay in a bigger village like Potes is, and from Cosgaya you can get anywhere you want in a very short time by car. Lovely view from our window as well, very quiet room too. the breakfast contains only supermarket products, which is a shame for a cute hotel in such a small village, would add a lot if they used some local products. The staff could have been a bit friendlier as well, but generally we were very satisfied with our stay.
Very good location Nice room, but small (there are bigger in other rates) modern, new, nicely decorated Staff was helpfull, though they didn't know English The room was too small for a longer stay than 1 night we had & there was a lot of dust (was cleaned after we complained)
To be able to relax in a well designed and fancy hotel.
Great location. Nicely appointed. The staff were not particularly freindly, I think this is because they were not experienced or relaxed, so it should improve over time.
Although rated a 2 star hotel this felt more like a 3 or 4 from the point of view of cleanliness, comfort, quality of the rooms, and the breakfast and dinners. It was a comfortable hotel, with a relaxed atmosphere. No
Welcoming and comfortable, with beautiful views of the mountains from some rooms. Good value restaurant with some local specialities on the menu. Swimming pool was in the shade and rather small.
Good size room, excellent food (both dinner and breakfast) and although the staff spoke little English they were very helpful and friendly.
Convenience, friendly and accommodating staff.
The peace of the place,
Good location in Picos Europa, good menu, value for money
We used this hotel as a waypoint going through the mountains for which it could not have been at a better place directly en-route. The staff were very welcoming, the food was great, and the owner even garaged our motorcycles to keep the elements of them during the stay. We highly recommend this hotel to any motorcyclist who need a good place to stay while going through the mountains.
Hotel Facilities like open fire place, furniture... Breakfast was quite expensive for the quality.
very quiet at nights, friendly staff, ample parking and good food at a reasonable price.
It's a lovely, rustic hotel, full service with a good restaurant. We thought the location was superb. It is located along the southern border of Picos de Europa in a tiny, picture postcard-worthy village. We were able to explore the entire village on foot in about 30 minutes. It was a memorable experience and a really good value for the money.
Everything was more than satisfactory, the food was excellent the room was fine and the staff were first class. the price was unbelievable.
Location No comfortable public seating area
The best thing is the location right below Fuente De mountain and next to the cable-car. Very poor sound-proofing. Everything in adjoining rooms could be heard. Pillows were small and thin and not easy to sleep on. Doors to room, balcony & bathroom all seemed to have dropped and scraped on the floor.
close to the telesferico the staff was not flexible and just formal, not friendly. The information about services outside the hotel is very poor and the staff has not knowledge about it
The food in the restaurant was excellent as was the service.
We loved the mountain scenery and the clean fresh air. The staff were lovely and couldn't do enough for us.
Very friendly staff, the room had beautiful views of the mountains. Restaurant served excellent local dishes, very friendly waitress. Great location for exploring the area. Flies can too easily get into the room.
Beautiful location and very friendly hosts. Good restaurant in hotel for evening meals.
I really appreciated the hotel location and all surrounding areas; beautiful mountain landscape and the silence. The hotel staff is very friendly and is always available. The food was great; all home made and delicious!
The owner and staff are exceptionally friendly and concerned with the needs of their guests. The room was spotless, if somewhat smallish. The windows on rooms on the backside of the hotel open on to a small village alley in the proximity of roaming dogs and a goat pen, hence when open there is at times a perceptible smell of urine. These windows would be greatly improved with the addition of screens to keep out flies.
Great location for a stay in very old, mountain village and well located fot touring in this beautiful part of Spain. Fantastic scenery and views but being a small farming village you have to put up with flies and smells from the animals! Would I go again? Yes.
