owner friendly and helpfull dark room could have been cleaner
just stayed overnight
A lovely old inn run by a very friendly, helpful lady the inn was old and noise transmitted especially from rooms above.
Helpful proprietor. Good sized room with furniture suited to the nature of the accommodation. Good food and easy access to kitchen facilities. Free internet access. Dubious electrics - ok but wouldn't pass a uk hotel inspection. There wasn't enough lighting overall.
near the beach General decor was poor--looked rough and old fashioned but was clean
very nice location, personal touch, good value for the money, parking in the side street no hair dryer in the room, but they did provide one when I asked.
The owner was very friendly and hospitable. It was in a great location - yards from the beach.
Our hostess was gracious and received us like we were family. Would stay there again. Continental breakfast was very good.
It was close to where I needed to be, there was ample parking, and the room was spacious for a historic home. The back yard and porch were beautiful. For starters, I have never stayed anywhere before that I couldn't lock my door! That meant that I took my computer every time I left the room. The overall look of the place was rundown and shabby. The sheets had holes in them, the vinyl window shades were ripped, and every time you pulled them down, you knocked the cafe curtains down, because they were just propped up. One of the window sashes was difficult to open and close, and I was encouraged to leave my windows up, and only run the a/c unit when I absolutely needed it. It all seemed very makeshift. The room was full of kitch! I also wasn't impressed with the quality of breakfast. I love historic inns, and have stayed in several, but was very disappointed with this one. And to top it off, I have stayed in better hotels in NYC for what I paid for this place!
