Pros: Couldn’t be better. They do whatever to please you and to make you feel like at home. Incredible service. Very friendly and helpful all the time. Great dinner and breakfast! Outstanding!
Pros: The location is stunning, Breakfast was great!
Pros: The best british hospitality in France
Pros: The owner Madelene and her son Michael were extremely kind and thoughtful. We realized that at the breakfast the fruit salade was made of fresh fruit not canned. The napkins were fabric not paper. There were a lot of lovely details like that. We rested very well in the middle of silent nature surrounded with friendly animals . The room was nearly 40 m2 furnitured in British style. And the bathrom was very clean. We will absolutely prefer that lovely place in our next voyage in this area. We thank them. We highly recommend this lovely place.
Pros: Madeleine’s house is fantastic, we enjoy a really nice evening in the countryside with the horses accompanied by the the dogs of the house !!! The house is like Madeleine, adorable, warm and friendly, with a lovely and exquisite English decoration. The bedroom offers you a peaceful slumber. We were all the family ( my wife and two adolescent girls, and myself) very happy and will certainly repeat the experience in the future. 10/10 !!! Thank you Madeleine and Mike !!!!
Pros: Great views and children loved the activities and the animals
Pros: Beautiful place to stay with the family in the idyllic location. Madeleine and Michael looked after us very well during the whole stay offering a delicious dinner and making sure we felt like at home.
Pros: Excellent place, very welcome owner. Really friendly atmosphere. Fresh air, glass of wine and nice evening talks with owner. Super breakfast. One of the best place we stay during our trip. Madeleine, thank you so much for nice memories.
Pros: The location of the B&B is perfect for seeing the sights of Normandy. The food - Madeleine & her son are fabulous cooks. You should most definitely eat here.
Pros: Our hosts, Madeleine and Mike where such warm and welcoming people. The farm is in a beautiful, quiet setting and it was a really lovely few days. We where looked after really well from the beginning and our children (age 3 and 6) felt very at home, enjoying the pool and love from the two dogs Wally and Iggy. Happy Memories for many years. Thank you both for making our stay with you special.
Cons: The setting and lovely hosts. Just what we had hoped for and more.

Pros: Not a great deal to be honest. This was a very poor stop on our journey. Utterly disgusted with the treatment received by the owners. Steer Clear of this accommodation- Extremely unfriendly owners.
Cons: We arrived at the property only to be told that they were expecting one person for a four bed room, we hadn't experienced this in any other stops along our journey. The hostesses extremely hostile and stood on the porch crossed arms demanding more money before we could enter the room, they also made myself, husband and two children wait outside the property at night whilst they prepared the room. Breakfast consisted of apple compote and dry bread with preserve. Very poor for the money. The owners had other guests and as we enter the property and actually closed the dining room door on my family whilst they entertained their 'other' guests. This was not a language thing as my family speak fluent french. At breakfast we were informed that we must fill out a book stating our names and uk address as it was for the Gendarmies and obligatory for all 'foreigners' that stayed there, no other guests staying were asked to complete this book. Yesterday I received a complaint from bookings.com to say that the owners had complained about me breaking their rules by arriving with my family unannounced which is untrue as I had to type in all names arriving and had booked a four bed room. We stayed there one night and to be honest if there was somewhere else to go I would have rather than stay there. We were made to feel very uncomfortable!!!!
Pros: Room, dinner, breakfast owner.
Cons: The welcome from the owner.
Pros: We just stayed one night in chambres avec vue but it was perfect. The rooms are beautiful and very clean and nice to stay in. The breakfast was perfect and also the surroundings were beautiful. The hosts were very lovely. I highly recommend this place!
Pros: Location and views excellent
Cons: Nothing to dislike
Pros: Wonderful overnight stay. Hosts were lovely and very welcoming. Parking was very good, we had a large estate car and small trailer. We were offered refreshments on arrival. Our hosts recommended places to eat nearby. The bedrooms were really lovely, traditional with a modern touch. Beautiful upholstery and bed linen. The room was spotless. The bathroom was immaculate, fantastic modern shower, lovely fluffy towels. Breakfast was equally as good. Great coffee, homemade bread and jams. Wish we'd been staying more then just one night. Would definitely stay again.
Pros: Hosts very friendly and helpful, lovely room, great view

Pros: Really historic Chateau! But the main decoration is of course the hospitable hosts. Thanks you!
Cons: Everything is perfect! For our short stay it are the best option
Pros: Beautiful chateau, however a rather different experience. Philippe tried his best to accommodate us and his wife was delightful, we just really did not get this sitting down to dine as a group with strangers. Some of the decorations/mannequins are very strange and quite odd, but that was just our opinion. Others may love the Houston looking mannequins and thinks it character. Phillips wife made every effort to cook a lovely meal, but after a long journey we would have just appreciated eating our food and going to bed not the whole incorporated team dinning experience.
Cons: The property is old and therefore low beamed up in the roof where we stayed. The bed was comfortable and clean and the bathroom brand new. Some proper light fittings and not electric cable and wire would finish the room off nicely.
Pros: The welcome of the owner with his wife ( the history of the castle). The rooms dowstairs (salon and the dinning room)were very nice and well furnished. The price of the wine was good value for money. The breakfast was good.
Cons: The fact that we didn't know the menu served in the evening.
Pros: We cannot fault anything at this hotel. Without doubt one of the best places at which we have stayed in France; lovely people, building, location and the most comfortable bed. An overnight stop on this occasion, but could have enjoyed a longer stay.
Pros: A beautiful chateau in a very quiet rural location - owned and managed by the most hospitable and generous couple.
Cons: The room I had (which was wonderful) didn’t have a lock on the door. A small thing but something I was conscious of.
Pros: Very nice setting in a beautiful location. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was plentiful and fresh. The room was very quiet and had an exeptionally great view.
Pros: Friendly and helpful hosts who have put great effort into renovating and decorating the property over many years. Excellent meals, some from old family recipes, on a well laid table. We would not hesitate to stay here again.
Pros: Incredible building, very well equipped and nicely decorated. Especially the hosts were extremely flexible and ready to make the stay as nice as possible. Had a very nice breakfast and lots of interesting talks together with the couple running the home.
Cons: WIFI connection in the room was rather weak, but it was the last room on the last floor so kind of understandable
Pros: This Chateau is placed in a privileged position that allows an spectacular view. The rooms are very comfortable and clean. The place is an old Chateau, its furniture and decoration give it the right atmosphere of luxury and relaxation. The property allows you to have a nice walk and enjoy around. The hospitality of the owner makes you feel like at home and was very nice to us. Thank you! A pity we could not stay more time. Looking forward to come back.” Elena, Maria,Vad, Alex
Pros: By far the nicest b&b we have stayed at. Place was wonderful and staff were so friendly and helpful. Would thoroughly recommend this place to anyone!!!@
Cons: Nothing it was superb.
Pros: A friendly welcome from Tina and nothing was too much trouble
Pros: Tina made us feel really welcome and would recommend to anyone.
Pros: Tina very welcoming and provided everything we wished for. We were able to visit several places from this location as we stayed 2 nights.
Pros: We had a very comfortable night and enjoyed an excellent breakfast
Cons: My husband found the room access a little challenging as he is slightly disabled
Pros: Great host, Ideal cleanness, comfortable bed, spaciuos room, good breakfast, lovely atmosphere. After long and intensive travel , I felt there like in my summer house. Tina is a great lady. Super place.
Pros: Tina was very friendly and welcoming. Our room was warm and comfortable with seating area and wonderful, huge shower room. The property has charm and character in abundance and is in a wonderful setting. Breakfast was of the continental style but the eggs were the freshest I have ever eaten. From chicken to eggcup on the same day!! I wholeheartedly recommend Serendipitie and we will definately be returning.
Cons: The weather!! There was nothing about Serendipitie that we didn't like.
Pros: Spacious room, cosy bed, nice breakfast, impressive cleanness. Very good location to cover most part of Normandy.
Pros: Typical rustic style French property in quiet rural location,
Cons: Steep stairs , not good for arthritic knees.
With a stay at Le Manoir de L'Acherie in Sainte-Cecile, you'll be within a 5-minute drive of Poeslerie Museum and House of the Lacemaker and Cornille-Havard Foundry. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Idyllic rural setting. Beautiful traditional building, decorated in keeping with the building style. The bed was very comfortable and bathrooms spacious and very clean.
Cons: The food though excellent had very limited vegetarian options.
Pros: Have stayed there several times and we choose to return because we really enjoy our time spent there. The owners and the ladies who care for the rooms are all delightfully smiley and friendly !!
Cons: Absolutely nothing !!
Pros: Breakfast good. Location excellent.
Cons: A bar lounge would make this place perfect.
Pros: n a very quiet location and an excellent restaurant
Cons: The 37 wooden spiral stairs up to our room were difficult and being at the top of the house with only a small window the room was very hot and airless. The temperatures for that day were in the low 20's C.

Pros: We have stayed at this hotel nearly every year sometimes more than once since I think1996. we remember all the family and they remember us. What more can one say?
Pros: Fairly comfortable but small room. Quiet at night. Staff were ok but in short supply.
Cons: Breakfast very disappointing for the price when I eventually managed to get a member of staff to tell me the price. Was then told there would be a 10 minute wait for any croissants. Coffee also seemed in short supply. Breakfast at the Budget Ibis was much cheaper and better with no wait for anything. No mirror in the bedroom only one in the bathroom. Towels were thin and frayed. Room guide said there was BBC but we couldn’t find it. All a bit disappointing for a Logis.
Pros: facilities good
Cons: When booking it was difficult to ensure that we would be allocated a twin bedded room. On arrival we were told that a twin bedded room was not available. When instructed to cancel the booking a twin bedded room was found. The booking.com procedure needs to address this.
Pros: Stayed here one night in July The main foyer to this hotel is really nice and modern. However when you get upstairs to the halls and corridors it is designed in a unique way not suited to everyone. The rooms were spotless and clean. The bathroom had a quirky slanted ceiling and was unusual. The shower was perfect. We had a view onto the cathedral spire which was pleasant. The bells toll every quarter hour. We had a meal in the restaurant and the food was very good. It was lively and busy. This is a nice hotel with funky decorated rooms the staff were charming and accommodating. What more can you ask for.
Pros: Location, perfect for town facilities
Pros: Great location and in a very lovely village
Cons: Our family bedroom was right about the reception area and there were smokers outside which meant all the smoke drifted into our room!!
Pros: Great stop off destination to and from Cherbourg with free parking right opposite. The attached restaurant is very very good and well worth a visit in its own right if you are ever in the area
Pros: Central position, good parking, good restaurant, friendly staff, comfortable room
Cons: We liked it all
Pros: The Central position of the hotel. The staff that spoke English. ( we had just arrived after a long time in France, so our French not good st this stage. )The politeness & kindness if staff. Excellent service at meals. Comfortable bed.
Cons: The room was VERY VERY small. The curtain torn in several places & dirty. Not enough depth for hanging long dresses. No means of cooling the room.
Cons: No tea coffee nothing near by

Pros: Beautiful country setting. It was about an hour to the Normandy beaches from here but the home and welcoming staff made it worthwhile.
Pros: Very quiet location. Very clean and roomy house.
Cons: It was hard to find because it is deep in the country. Don't search for it in the dark!
Pros: Food a little basic for price.
Cons: Temperature control in room would have been good - too hot to sleep.

Pros: very welcoming staff, building and rooms are very comfortable, clean, welcoming. I loved the patio.
Cons: It would have been nicer to have the shared toilet on the same floor, instead of having to go downstairs.
Pros: Suitable for a 1 night stay but wouldn't want to have stayed longer. Good to have sink in room. Surprise to have kitchen area which was great to have a kettle in.
Cons: Shared toilet facility downstairs from bedroom. Room was very warm, no a/c, so had to sleep with window open. Quite a noisy road.
Pros: The food
Cons: No privat toilet
Pros: Soft pillows
Cons: No heating in the room during 2 degree winter weather
Pros: The staff is very helpful and friendly. We were not able to arrive on time. The staff was so friendly to wait for a s for more than one hour. Thanks again! The breakfast was very good, too.
Cons: The rooms don’t include a toilet. So u have to leave your room for a toilet
Pros: Super friendly staff and the food was very good. Also great location, close to mont st. Micjelle and St. Malo.
Cons: The main thing was the lack of a toilette in the room and having to share with the other guests.
Pros: I liked that we had a room for four. It's nice and friendly.
Cons: The curtain in the bedroom. It didn't cover the window, which didn't give us full privacy from the street, and we were up with the sun!

Pros: Location was great, right in the middle of town and staff very friendly.
Cons: Bed clothes I believe were clean but had a lot of stains.
Pros: Friendly, helpful staff...great location....awesome price! Charming...hotel and town...loved it
Cons: Was a bit worn, but is a really old hotel so that was expected
Pros: Everything was super convenient and comfortable, and very helpful host.
Pros: Lovely old traditional hotel, right in the middle of a typical French town. No private parking, but plenty in the street outside. The hotel is very central with lots of restaurants close by. Very comfortable and breakfast very good value. Will visit again.
Pros: breakfast was good
Cons: Outdated property . we were reminded of our early forays into France in the early 1970's
Pros: Entrance with key pad for late arrivals
Cons: We were not informed that entrance with key pad was around the back and no lighting through arch to the back. No instructions were left which stairs to use once inside. Lots of stairs !!
Pros: Placement and staff
Cons: WiFi connection was poor
Pros: location was where we wanted, the town was really nice
Cons: The room was a flat next to the hotel the bathroom was poor, the glass shelf came off, luckily didn't break, Generally dated
Pros: The location of the hotel is great, it is right in the centre of the town and makes everything accessible.
Cons: I have never stayed in such a dump. The corridors were so narrow and dark, it reminded me of a scene from a horror movie. The room "furniture" is made of Strand board. The kind of wooden sheets that builders use for shuttering when pouring concrete. It hadn't even been painted. The was no kettle, so no tea/coffee making in the room. The floors were dirty, something I only noticed when I noted how black my white socks had become. The shower head was in the wrong place. It was facing across the bath, not down the length of the bath, so we couldn't enjoy a shower without flooding the whole floor. The loo was in such a tight corner I had to back into it, as I couldn't turn around once in front of it. It flushed well... In fact it was so powerful it also flooded the floor if you didn't drop the lid. All this AND we couldn't get into the place until 18:00 hours as it was closed. Fortunately the day was lovely so we spent 3 hours looking around the town centre.
Pros: The lady was very friendly and the breakfast to
Cons: The rooms are old fasioned ,it could do with an upgrade
