A charming 3-star hotel offering you access to the French capital at out-of-town prices. We renovated the hotel in 2007 to recreate the romanticism associated with the renowned French novelist. As soon you pass through our wrought iron gates and enter our hotel you hear the strains of Chopin, one of George Sand’s numerous lovers. Come and enjoy the City of Light from a new vantage point. The hotel's guest rooms have a retro atmosphere and all modern conveniences.
Stinky & greasy
Location to the train stop. The hotel staff were helpful.
Due to this being a business trip I really only slept at the hotel but the staff I met were very helpful
There was no light bulb in the bedside lamp and the shower didnt work
I liked the hotel's proximity to Paris. It was 15 minutes drive to the Eiffel tower or Champs-Elysees. So, the location is really practical if you come by car. Also, the public parking around the hotel is free but hard to find a spot if you come late at night. There is a parking garage opposite to the hotel however that will cost .5 euros/hour if you park the car over night.
I only slept for 1 night in the hotel so I don't really get to judge it. However, everything is really tiny. The room is too small although the bed size is okay for a couple. The elevator is too small that it can hardly fit 2 persons with one bag; I had to take my daughter's stroller and other luggage through the stairs to the 4th floor. Basically, in this hotel you get what you paid for; If you are a backpacker or your highest concern is a budget hotel then this is a great deal with a very good location.
little bit far from center.
Original/antique features in each room, not a cloned white box
The room was on 5th floor under the roof, but with acceptable height if you are under 1.90m. You take the lift to the 4th and climb a few more steps to arrive to that nice cosy room. It looks oldish but has all today equipments (mini-bar, wifi, hair dryer, flat-screen tv ...). It is clean, no broken tool. Breakfast was good. Staff was very accommodating.
If you need internet, do not ask for room 503, because it is on the limit of wifi reachability: my PDA worked, but my PC did not.
Original period features, such as carved wooden bed, a nice change to sterile box room hotel rooms.
The room is so small and the hotel is too far away from the city center.
The atmosphere - like staying at your grandparents house!
