Pros: From the outside this looks like an average farmhouse, set beside the Passa Pais Vois Verte cycle route we arrived after a day riding in the rain and were warmly welcomed. When you step inside you step into luxury, beautifully renovated, spacious rooms, comfy beds. There are two rooms on each floor separated by a large shared lounge/library area.
Pros: Family was fantastic. Very accommodating. Engaging in conversation.
Cons: No Issues.
Pros: Friendly, warm and caring atmosphere with even the gluten-free option catered for. Excellent.
Pros: Quite location, beautifully renovated country house with a charming, lovely owner, would return AND recommend.
Pros: A beautiful, quiet, rustic and rural get away. Tree house basically furnished but was still perfect. Felt incredibly secure and close enough to the main farmhouse to not feel isolated. Also had sole use of the gite attached to the main house which was a total bonus (came with kitchenette, front room, shower room with toilet and loft sleeping space) a great little space in itself. Jean Marie was an ideal host, a perfect balance of professional and friendly. I liked it all ... from the relaxed cat with the beautiful deep miaow, the outdoor breakfast with the bees and butterflies, the outdoor lighting fixed to the levels of stairs which was fairytale as night came. Loved the treehouse and the gite and the farmhouse is just beautiful in an old, charming way,. The cobwebs, the tiny pool, the location - on the main road but also in the woods. Seriously my husband and I loved it all. If you like the outdoors, then this place is perfect for you. We had 3 nights of perfect, We didn't use the wi-fi, we didn't use the tv ... We had the cockrels from the village wake us in the morning and the crickets chirruping at dusk - What more could we have asked for. THANK YOU JEAN MARIE AND SOPHIA x
Cons: Nearest shop/supermarket is a definite 30 minute drive away - Did not bother us, but be prepared.
Pros: Elegant house and garden with a charming Dutch host who served us simple evening meals, even though the cook was away.
Pros: The bed was very comfortable
Pros: The hosts were very welcoming. The garden and pool we’re amazing. The breakfasts hearty and healthy.
Cons: As the property is next to a road, there is traffic noise but we stayed over a weekend where there was a festival in a village nearby so may have been more traffic due to that.

Pros: labastide-rouiaroux is a former textile town that is slowly filling up again with people, many from other countries; a process that brings life to declining areas. our hosts run a family hotel, decorated in the charming art deco style, and tho it might look a little tired, like the town, it was very comfortable. our hosts put us at the back of the house, which was very appreciated, as we could hear the wind in the trees rather than the large trucks rumbling by the front. we ate at the hotel, too. our host is an excellent cook, and much of what they served came from their own back yard. our hosts were very helpful and informative about the town, and we came away with a better impression of the area than we had formed solely based on the truck traffic. in all, it was a very pleasant stay, and we feel like the hosts are our friends. we recommend this hotel over anything within 20 miles.
Cons: the only negative is a problem with the town itself. it's the major thoroughfare from the mediterranean to the midi, and trucks rumble thru all day long. the hotel itself, and its owners were delighful.
Pros: It was in the area we wante to stay in. Plenty of food.
Cons: Breakfast as a bit basic.
