Pros: the breakfast was fantastic as was everything about the place, the owner even offered us his garage to work and store our bikes
Pros: Modern, excellent hotel right on the edge of pristine forests. Clean, well-run property. Owner speaks fluent English.
Pros: Wonderful location, great hospitality, big rooms and very clean. Host is very nice, you feel at home. Moreover, very good restaurant at walking distance.
Pros: - the host - the place - secured parking lot for the motorbike
Cons: - we followed the GPS and directed us over a difficult (for a heavy Harley) unpaved road. There is a paved road but it seems that some GPSs are not yet updated with the latest information.
Pros: Esperanza is the perfect host- warm, smart, beautifull person. The place is cozy , colorful, and very Spanish and historical. Loved it!!!!
Pros: What a lovely old place tastefully transformed into a quaint hotel. The lady welcoming you on arrival speaks good English and is genuinely helpful. Breakfast is a treat worth the money. The rooms are comfy and clean.
Cons: The local bar / restaurant was not nice. Unhelpful uninterested staff make you feel unwelcome. Best to go to the next village if you want an evening meal.
Pros: Everything , Esperanza is a wonderful person who knows how to treat her clients , always ready to help you . The house is amazing , decoration, facilities , breakfast , I can not ask for anything else because we had everything and more , many thanks Esperanza , we wanna come back there . Your kindness is so big that you made us felt as we were in our own house.
Cons: There’s nothing negative I can say .
Set in a XVIII century blacksmith's house, Posada Rural La Piñorra is situated in Vinuesa. It offers a children's playground and a terrace. Each room is heated and comes with a TV and private bathroom with a hairdryer. Posada Rural La Piñorra features free WiFi throughout the property. Communal areas include a living space with a fireplace, and a dining table. Soria is 30 km from Posada Rural La Piñorra, while El Burgo de Osma is 44 km from the property.
Pros: Nice room, really clean with confortable bed. .
Cons: The staff didn't speak any other language than spanish. There was no elevator and breakfast was served on table; it was not possible to choose what you wanted.
Pros: This is a hotel that you don’t really want to tell everyone how good it is because you want to make sure there is always room left fir yourself, but that wouldn’t be fair. Loverly people, loverly building, loverly location.
Pros: Beautiful room! Very clean. Big bathroom comfortable bed.
Pros: The natural rural areas
Cons: Not really .
Pros: Very friendly and attentive hosts (Helena and Pepe). Excellent home-cooked food, chosen by our hosts to suit our palate. A tastefully converted property, combining traditional character in the stonework and carpentry with modern fittings.
Pros: Can't recommend Posada Real La Almazuela highly enough. Elena and Pepe were warm and welcoming from the minute we arrived and during our whole stay. Our evening meal and breakfast were fabulous, this place is well worth a visit
Pros: This was a wonderful stay, at an elegant mountain hotel. We were traveling by bicycle, and the hosts were very welcoming of us and our terrible language skills. The dinner and breakfast were both perfect, at a window table with a beautiful view of the countryside. We wish we could have stayed longer.
Cons: Nothing. It was perfect.
Pros: This place is FANTASTIC! Inside this rustic building is a superb boutique hotel. Wonderful hosts. Immaculate state-of-the-art bedrooms with wonderful modern design complementing the history of the building. Bathrooms are wonderful. Beds superbly comfortable. The food prepared by Pepe is simply incredible. You MUST eat here. This will go as one of our most memorable and enjoyable stays anywhere. And the friendliest hosts you can possibly imagine.
Cons: We liked absolutely everything but it is in a VERY quiet rural village (in beautiful countryside) which we LOVED but might not suit those who like busy towns/nightlife.
Pros: Meals were delicious and staff very professional and kind at the same time. Location was amazing.
Cons: Mattress was a bit too soft. Tables at dining room were too close to each other.
Pros: This Bed and Breakfast was amazing. Elena and Pepe, the hosts, were so friendly and helpful and catered for our every comfort. They are incredibly dedicated and caring people and went the extra mile to give us anything we might want - we felt so indulged and this really enhanced the holiday feel. The village is ancient and set in amazing scenery, with many walks close by. The room was enormous and so amazingly comfortable - with all mod cons in the highest quality (loads of hot water, bath/shower, good wifi, double-glazed windows with amazing views, very comfortable bed and chairs, large bathroom), in a beautifully-kept house. Everything was very clean and well-organised. Breakfast was delicious (always started with fruit and fresh orange, followed by herby scrambled egg and cold meats and cheese with toast and oil/tomato), then home-made orange cake to finish. We also ate there for dinner three times and would recommend this to anyone staying there - the food was gourmet quality, really well-cooked, fresh and delicious, and there were a choice of really good wines too. It was a total treat. The whole experience was really relaxing. We also found loads of interesting excursions and walks to do in the area (car essential), aided by Pepe who gave us loads of maps and useful tips.
Cons: The bed was two single beds pushed together. It would have been nice if they had been fastened or clipped together as they tended to move apart leaving a crack between us.
Pros: High in the Spanish Black Mountains this hotel was extremely welcoming and our hosts made us feel immediately at home. Nothing was too much trouble and the evening meal cooked from local produce was spectacular! This was followed in the morning by an equally good breakfast . The bird life in the area, which ranged from vultures to thousands of house martins, was worth seeing on it's own.
Cons: Nothing to do with the hotel, but the village bells in both churches ring out all night (slightly out of sync) and this seems to startle every dog in the village into barking each time!!!
Pros: Very friendly hosts, excellent breakfast and dinner, beautiful room with a gorgeous view, and area is excellent for hiking and swimming.
Pros: Pepe is a great cook and Helena looks after your desires in a very friendly way
You'll be centrally located in Salduero with a stay at Hostal Las Nieves, and 1 minutes by foot from Sierra de la Demanda. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Excellent local rustic food. Good wine. Lovely village. Clean room. Friendly staff.Very good value.
Cons: Only having time for one meal !
Pros: A very welcoming, comfortable, beautifully restored and well run hostal located in the small village of Salduero and well placed for exploring the beautiful and peaceful area round it, for example La Laguna Negra and walking along the Duero River. The hostel has its own restaurant which was so handy after being out walking during the day. There is car parking reserved for clients and also just beside the hostel, both of which can become busy when there are a lot of people in the bar.
Cons: The breakfast was fairly basic. The half board tariff which we had chosen meant we had a rather restricted menu which lacked vegetables.
Pros: Everything was good. Rooms and service.
Pros: Wonderful place near mountains with a very friendly staff and very good food in the restaurant. We enjoyed the place and it is hard to tell it is a hostel, not a 3-star hotel.
Cons: We came in smaller groups of total of 5 persons and the first pair got a single room, while I myself who was suppose to be in a single room, got a double. Yet the difference in room sizes was not so huge, so we stayed that way. The pair had just a smaller bed.
Pros: The hotel is well built and well-run. Spacious rooms, decent bathroom, as as I travelled in the colder seanson I also appreciated that the heating system worked quite well. The staff is friendly but unobtrusive. They have restaurant and a separate bar (for the locals) on the ground floor, so you always have someone around and some sort of food and drink being available. Situated in small scenic village. The next time I travek to the area I would definitely go back to the place.
Pros: Location in the middle of the nature if you are inclined to go for mushroom picking, hiking or swimming. There is a huge body of water near by with beaches surrounded with pine forest. Staff in the property is very friendly and helpful but one needs to speak spanish to bridge the gap. No english spoken as far as know. Good breakfast with no or little variations. Best croisants i have had for some time!
Cons: Little room with all you need to crash down after exhausting day. Bad sound insulation within the property so you know what is going around you especially plumbing wise. Excelent heating which you can control to your desire. Dinner after 9pm is unfortunately the norm. I had to make other arrangements so no knowlidge to hand regarding the restaurant.
Pros: My only comment was that the Parking was NOT secure, however I parked just opposite and was told there were no problems, thankfully this was the case. The Staff were friendly but not much English Spoken. Restaurant was excellent.
Cons: As I said I normally insist on Secure Parking and would have been happy to pay extra for it,
Pros: Clean, great value-for-money hotel with friendly staff in a perfect location for a Summer getaway from Madrid heat.
Cons: A little dated.
Pros: Great location for a walk in the village down the river Very quite but we were out of season
Pros: A great little find as if is a beautiful village with a river that has been dammed to create a swimming area. There are some great walks around. We walked along the river to the next major town. It is well signposted and easy walking. The food is good and we had the half board option; well worth the money.
Cons: The staff speak no English so be prepared if you don't speak Spanish.

Pros: Everything, it was peaceful, we were in the hot tub, it was very clean, food was great, it was in a tiny village about 10 minutes from soria, Fausto and Anna were great hosts, young Mariana was so welcoming, nothing was a problem, wish I could have stayed longer but we had already made plans, will definitely go back
Cons: I couldn't fault anything, I wish I had booked 4 days there cause there is lots to see in the surrounding area
Pros: Owners very friendly, nice restaurant and a good rural village stop off around pine forests and hillsa
Pros: Truly enjoyed our stay here...Anna and Fausto were fantastic hosts! Loved the small town feel, and really saw that this area has much to explore and deserves more time on a future visit. Great food too!
Pros: Lovely couple, nothing too much trouble and even did our laundry as we were travelling light by motorbike. Definitely recommend staying and exploring the amazing surroundings. Food was excellent too! Thanks Anna! Enough to eat for a vegetarian and spoke English so easy to communicate for those whose Spanish is not great.
Pros: Breakfast was perfect and plenty of it.
Cons: Man in reception needs to improve communication skills...
Pros: Great salad, and tapanade for breakfast. And cute dogs!
Pros: Location excellent . Traditional, tasteful decor . Comfortable bed and pillows .
Cons: Nothing, everything was beautiful.
Pros: Everything !
Cons: Nothing not to like, it was a delightful stop over, just wished we could have stayed longer.

Pros: Very helpful and friendly owners. Although there was a language barrier, google translate came in very handy. Ideal location for us Nice little bar where we could get pastries and snacks throughout the day, and a little restaurant if we wanted an evening meal
Cons: Nothing about the hotel, it was perfect for us. Not much else in Abejar itself.
Pros: Great food. Great sleep. Kindness of hosts.
Cons: Loved everything. Truly a sweet place to stay..
Pros: Everything about the place was very nice and the owners were very pleasant and helpful despite the language barrier.

Pros: The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, rooms very clean and comfortable. Small fridge in room. Restaurant across the road for good food.

Pros: Wonderful view of old houses and countryside beyond from big windows, chairs by windows, comfy beds, plenty of space, a nearby alimentation/mercado where we bought fruits, vegs, sardines, and a notebook (I'd lost my journal!). Short walk to the little local plaza, where we watched kids play "squash" and heard the local orchestra practicing--well-played classical music drifting from a high-up window in the municipal building (?)--and had beer and cafe con leche and played dominoes (ours) at the "English Corner."
Cons: The faucet in the sink was fairly disastrous--set high over the classy bowl for style, it seems, thus in our way while washing faces, and spraying water all over. Prepare for wet feet! Also, light fixtures above the bed were not good for night reading--lighting up entire room, and no option for light on one side of bed only.
Pros: Room size and furnishings.*Bathroom good except ultramodern wash basin (pretty but useless). Continental breakfast good. Owners/Staff very helpful.
Cons: No restaurant or bar facilities on site!! Having a 300/400 metre walk to a restaurant in a snow/sleet storm is not conducive for people with walking difficulties!! Street parking nearby if you´re lucky!!
Cons: Miserable staff, internet not working, limited breakfast, no opportunity to get a drink.
Pros: Ideally placed to explore this beautiful little known area of Spain - at least to most tourists. Bedrooms and bathrooms immaculate. Breakfast excellent and plentiful. Decor maybe a bit too urban bling but nicely done. Rooms giving on to the street. It too noisy - this is a sleepy little town.
Cons: Nothing really. Except most parking is down steep hill so drop heavy bags at the door.
Pros: Great bed and great pillows (we come from a family of furniture sellers and don't say this very often), sparkling clean (we don't say this lighly either), the staff was impecable, very helpful and polite, breakfast of a very high quality (town bakery pastries, ham, exquisite bread toasts), amazing bathroom (new, clean, and very good shower).
Cons: The interior style is a bit too kitsch for us, but that's a matter of taste. It was objectively a very good hotel.
A stay at Posada Las Mayas places you in the heart of Quintanar de la Sierra, steps from Sierra de la Demanda and a 4-minute drive from Casa de la Madera. Featured amenities include complimentary wired Internet access, a business center, and dry cleaning/laundry services.
Pros: Stunning hotel to base yourself for a hiking and biking trip. Can’t wait to go back. Restaurant has delicious food and excellent service
Pros: The hotel is lovely. It has an old world feel about it, but has been renovated to include modern amenities. The bed was large and very comfortable. The bathroom was modern and spacious. Having a fine dining restaurant on the premises was an added bonus. We had an excellent server, friendly and enthusiastic. The manager was very businesslike. I did not speak any Spanish, so this could not have been easy for him. He did have some English.
Pros: Quirkily refurbished lovely old building. Everything very comfortable and clean and the bedroom and bathroom beautifully decorated, with a lovely view. Accommodating owner and delightful staff.
Cons: Dinner was not served until 9.00pm even though we were the only guests eating, and we found this a little late after the long drive we had to reach the hotel.
Pros: Wonderful food. Wonderful staff who made it clear that this was "our home" for our stay.
Pros: Staff cleanliness
Cons: Breakfast price a bit high
Pros: Really nice building, quaint and very cosy. The room was very nicely decorated, and the bed was super comfortable. The bathroom was very nice too.

Cons: Would have been nice to have been able to enjoy a drink from the bar in the pretty garden, bar didn't seem accessible from there. TV in the room was very small. No one seemed to be using the restaurant and there are few others in the village.
Pros: Nice village felt safe to leave car out side, staff good.
