The breakfast was excellent Could do with a coat of paint.
Friendliness of staff, room clean and comfortable
Excellent staff, very good food and drink Bed could do with an upgrade, rather lumpy
Full of character and very welcoming Only a 4 foot bouble bed
Friendly and helpful staff Did not get e-mail ref hotels change of our booked room, NO fire escape? also bed side light although had plug, no socket, TV had to be on standby in order to view in bedroom. Danger to leave on over night. Shower although clean, had soap in corner and on taps.Dinner service very slow it took 2hrs for meal to be served. The staff were great, but not enough to cover the amount of tables covered.
the old building, but the contemporary rooms, especially TV facilities. the bar was nice and the staff werte efficient and friendly
I have stayed here several times, and never been dissappointed, great location for this area.
Reception staff were delightful - really friendly (whilst very professional) and so thoughtful and helpful. We stay in dozens of hotels - your staff really stood out. Absolutely charming. Worse for drink members of a wedding party who left the wedding and came (rowdily) into the public bar. Our party of six had just returned from a rock concert in Cardiff and we were in high spirits - but....
Lovely room,in great hotel with nice bar and lovely breakfast. Really liked Cowbridge Town. Bed was too firm and the loo seat was loose ! Noisy function 'till quite late
Great bar, double poster bed large bedroom, convenient parking and town centre location.
Proximity to Cardiff airport. Breakfast selection. Cardiff airport, Arrivals and Departures display innreception. Car parking especially the number of disabled spaces.
easy check in and helpful staff. Room basic but everything for express visit. easy check out. Good location. Good rate at time of booking. We were given a smoking room which smelt awful all night long! Why no cooked breakfast? Plenty of other cheaper hotels/travel inns in area. Hair in shower.
cleanliness and comfort no
Ideally loacted next to the aiport, very good value for money, helpful staff.
Pleasantly surprised, staff very helpful, spotlessly clean. Will definitely use Holiday Express again. Breakfast an added bonus.
The rooms were nice and comfortable and I slept really well. The TV remote needed a licence to drive. Drinks were very pricy and the breakfast was cold.
No English breakfast option
Very basic no-frills hotel with spacious rooms and public areas. If you are wondering, you cannot hear (or smell) any aircraft in the rooms. The sound-proofing is excellent. Cleanliness can not be faulted. Staff extremely pleasant and helpful. Lack of a 'real' breakfast. If I wanted a Continental Breakfast, I'd visit the continent. Evening meals consist of overpriced bar snacks (scampi & chips, fish & chips, gammon and chips) served with peas, half a tomato and a sprinkling of lettuce. Be prepared to eat out if staying longer than the one night.
Location, very convinience beacuse I was waiting for my next day flight Transportation to the airport. The stop is quite far from the main entrance
Very welcoming staff from chef to the owner of hotel everyone made you feel special, very comfortable relaxed feeling and the area we satyed in was awesome. Highly recomend No bad points
Helpfulness of all the staff. Nothing was too much trouble, particularly with help over dealing with (very) muddy clothing after visit to the Ryder Cup. Chose hotel originally as they were the only one I could find not to have hiked up their prices over Ryder Cup week-end.
Lovely independent temperature colntrol in the roomm - I could open the windows! Lovely breakfast and supper. Cheerful staff. Hot water, comfy bed. Great! None. N/a
Nice staff, friendly, helpful, hotel in lovely location in village centre, two good pubs down the road Room was a bit shabby, hotel generally looked a bit tired.
Staff were excellent - friendly, polite, welcoming, efficient. Breakfast was superb. Atmosphere was warm and friendly. Nice location. Room 20 is not an executive suite. At best it is a compact double. By what criteria is it called a suite, executive or otherwise? Quite cramped, nowhere to do any work, small upholstered chair squeezed in by foot of bed.
The staff not easy to find without a Satnav
The staff were very friendly and helpful and the bathroom was newly refurbished. The wardrobe was not deep enough for coat hangers. Polystyrene ceiling tiles (some falling down). Bathroom door would not close.
Very good location for us as we were visiting relatives. The room was very cold during the night and the mattress was very "saggy". Bathroom ceiling was flaking and all over the bath in the morning. Some rooms were being refurbished during our stay, so hopefully my comments will be addressed during the refurbishment.
Hospitality excellent, food & drink excellent, very good value.staff very polite & friendly, would recomend this hotel. None
The staff were very friendly and the bar area very cosy with comfortable chairs and settees. The food and the service in the restaurant were very good for both breakfast and dinner. Unfortunately there was roof leak when we arrived. Our rooms were changed, there were no lights on the stairs and no heat in the bedrooms. The wall was damp in Room 20. The lights & heating were remedied within a few hours.
