Staff were excellent - very friendly and helpful. Location was great - only a few minutes back to City Airport for the flight in the morning. VAlue for money was great. NA
Friendly staff, very good food, smoking rooms available, I would not stay at a hotel that had no smoking rooms available Nothing
Pleasant, helpful staff and clean comfortable rooms. Handy taxi ride to the city centre and plenty of parking.
I liked the breakfast. The whole thing was well organised and there was good selection. The room was very cold for the time of year and the bar was closed by the time we got back from the Show that we were in Belfast to see. (approx 10:45pm)
We enjoyed our short stay at The Park Aveue Hotel. We found the hotel to be very comfortable throughout and the staff were very nice and helpful. The rooms are particularly spacious and well equiped with really comfortable beds!! ;-) During our breakfast the following morning we were kinda forgotten about with regards to our tea/coffee and toast but after pointing this out to the breakfast staff they did make amends. Apart from that we were happy with the breakfast. Ample and very tasty. ;-)
Good food, helpful staff, near to City Airport Bistro rather noisy, not very relaxing
Cleanliness and genreal ambience
the hotel is lovely, really nice interior the room was nice and clean and very comfortable. we orded room servive and it came very promptly and the staff were lovely. i reaaly enjoyed my stay.
the staff were very friendly and helpful and the services/facilities in the hotel were excellent. We found it difficult to find the hotel but the staff were very helpful
I found the food to be very nice and the rooms were spotless The weather was bad roads were icy and the hotel is up a hill so I found it hard to drive up to the hotel the roads were grited the next morning but the hotel didn't do anything with the hill or the carpark I felt they could have had staff clearing the drive way .the rooms were very hot
the room is nice and comfy. i'm definitely going back again if i have a chance.
Good staff, good use of space in the rooms Would have liked the bar to be away from the reception area.
Great location and good price Room was very plastic, but def value for money once you know what you are getting
Staff and restaurant amenities were excellent.
Rooms were small but clean. Location was outstanding and staff were very friendly. The price was right, so couldn't ask for much more.
The room was clean and warm The food was not good particularly the breakfast.
Clean, comfortable, warm and quite. Excellent shower, without noisy plumbing
hotel very cloes to shopping centres and motorway and nightlife
Very conveniently located. Friendly, helpful staff. Excellent value. Decor on the modern side, so a bit boring.
Value for money and staff on reception both helpful and friendly.Very close to all the amenities and the city centre. Nothing springs to mind.
The location was excellent with just a short walk to go shopping and to have a night on the town.
the cleaniness of the rooms
The read the hotel was two stars however it exceded my expectations in every aspect. I had a wonderful stay nothing
The location was excellent and the room was quiet Room was very very small
The freshness of the room ,availibility of drinks and snacks..The location was perfect. The breakfast was overcooked .The layout of the food availible for breakfast was unsystematic. The staff unhelpful.Under the bed had not been dusted in days. The noise level at 3am did not allow for a good nights sleep.
Great prices for a hotel in a good location.
The hotel staff were courteous, the room had everything you needed great for a night away but at a reasonable price.
No parking, quite noisy at night
Very freindly and efficient staff. Nothing was too much trouble. The corridor was a little noisy on the Saturday night, which infiltrated the room.
Clean rooms, friendly staff, quiet
Excellent 5 star hotel. Atmosphere, customer service, quality, food all excellent. Very competitive price. Got a free upgrade to the Executive double room too! Great hotel gym but the swimmingpool is small and disappointing. No sauna, one small jacuzzi.
Very high standard of cleanliness and excellent staff
the staff were very helpful but the tiemframe to sort out our problem seemed very long. Our room was noisy from a function on in the new function room so we asked to move and werethen given a suit and a late check out as compensation but as a five star hotel I do not feel this hotel met the standard. There was dust in the rooms and even the suite was in state of disrepair and the shower was blocked so was disappointing
relaxing and romantic - it was a real treat to stay and we really spoiled ourselves!! there was a wedding on the same day so staff were busy attending to that and we found it hard to order our lunch and then get our bill
Incredible views over the loche from the Bar, luxurious rooms, and friendly (albeit young!) staff. The spa is beautiful, but extremely over priced. The bar and restaurant is also very expensive. This is a very expensive hotel, I think when you are paying for the privledge of staying in the hotel, the prices for food, drinks and spa treatments should be lowered to bring them more in line with others in Belfast.
Location was superb Breakfast - was a shambles, no greet no take to the seat, no meal, hence the poor score on the Hotel.
Location - ease of access to Belfast city & airport, quality of room. Facilities Breakfast - quality of some ot the items was lower than I expected of this standard of hotel
beautiful setting, good facilities Some reception staff were curt and unhelpful. We were attending a reunion and the set dinner on Friday night was not 5-star standard.
Gorgeous! Thank you for taking care of me when I really needed a good rest. The massage in the E'Spa spa was fabulous.
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms are large and luxurious. Excellent hotel.
convenience of location, surroundings, modern style
The bedroom was very comfortable and quiet and facilities were good. Breakfast was disappointing. Several items were not in the trays and had to be requested - pork sausages, mushrooms, potato bread, crispy bacon. They were supplied with a rather bad grace and crispy bacon never appeared at all. The food generally was under cooked . No fried eggs were available. The tea pot had no lid - a saucer was used.
The hotel was great, the staff was very helpful, and I am going to miss the Breakfast.
We got upgraded when we got there due to overbooking, i was extremely impressed with that and i found the staff friendly and helpful.I will be going back There is nothing to complain about we had and excellent holiday
Very pleasant and comfortable hotel no
everything had a fab time thank you n love belfast will go vback again soon.
The homleness of the whole stay in the hotel and the food brill and pleasent staff we really enjoyed our stay thankyou Nothing everything was perfect...Inever look at reviews
Clean, modern, friendly staff, good food Very noisey - could clearly hear people talking in other rooms and the corridor at all hours. Difficult to sleep
Good breakfast choice, clean hotel with a good location with a very modern look to it. Checking out took longer than it should as only one desk was in use (there are 3 in total). There was a queue which should not happen around peak times (ie I was checking out at noon)
My Mum & I had an Amazing time could'nt Fault this Hotel or any of the staff in any way.
clean room, good breakfast, easy to get to city centre, good parking
It was in the perfect location
An excellent, really funky hotel; I'd definitely stay there again. There wasn't a bath!
Great location, nice clean hotel friendly staff. The only point that could be improved upon was drections -staff could improve on this point. Otherwise very nice friendly people. See above
Great location. The bed was excessively hard.
Everything at Malmaison Belfast was outstanding! The staff was great and helpful for anything you needed and could arrange things like black taxi tours, room service, and recommend various restaurants and things to see. The rooms are gorgeous and very spacious. Shower pressure is great! The location is also ideal, being right across the street from Victoria Place shopping Center and other sights to see. Overall great experience and would absolutely recommend everything!
Decore and the staff
Location, friendliness of staff and general high standards of hotel No parking, although large car park across from hotel - quite expensive daily rate though, perhaps hotel could try and negotiate a special rate for guests
We liked the decor, comfort and the attitude of the staff
Friendly, efficient staff. Convenient location. Comfortable rooms. Nicely designed and furnished rooms. 'Quirky' details. Would like brighter reading lamps in bedrooms.
Friendly and helpful.
friendly atmosphere, good attentive staff in restaurant car park facilities - but this is probably the same in other hotels
Very good breakfast. It is in a strategic position in the very center of Belfast. Nice and clean the relax area (pool, jacuzzi, turkish bath) the staff was not very friendly, they speak fast and with a strange accent, difficult to be understood. The internet costs a lot 3£ / 1 h.
The hotel restaurant was quite expensive as was the room
I had booked for a non smoking room and was allocated a smoking room. Minor point but it was still an oversight on the hotels part.
Being within walking distance to the shops as this was a Christmas shopping trip. Nothing, liked everything
Found Staff to be very pleasant and extremely helpful Have recommended this hotel to all my family and friends!
I Liked the fact the Hotel was not too close and not too far from the shopping centre and the main square. The only thing i didnt like was the quality of food been served during evening meal.
Location Carpets in hallways and dining area were dirty.
Rooms are very clean, comfortable and modern
Location location location No
The availability of the Piano Bar into the small hours
Comfortable, very clean, polite staff and good food
Staff were very friendly and patient. My booking wasn't registered with the hotel when i arrived. Unsure if this was a booking.com error or hotel. However the problem was promptly resolved and i had a very pleasant stay.
Location was good and the room was clean. I felt the clientel were suited to a stag/hen party atmosphere. The fighting outside the door was not helpful to ensuring a comfortable stay.
Great location arrived by train, Great Victoria Street station immediately adjacent to hotel. Concierge were very helpful in arranging tours. The room was not large but was comfortable and very clean.
Location and room layout
Good room - excellent resturant - great location Was able to write clean me in the dust on the wardrobe shelf. My colleague was unable to check in until after 3pm and only then because we insisted that a room be made available before we left for an afternoon/evening meeting
Convient downtown hotel. Helpful staff, great amenities. Historic grand dame. Bit pricey.
The very helpful Staff!!
Fast, friendly service, excellent food & accommodation, efficient late bar and the valet car parking facility in a busy City centre is a definate plus.
Size and cleanliness of room and large screen TV Poor for guest car parking - I found this a big disappointment
Great location, great staff! Room was spacious for 3 people! Enjoyed it very much! Highly recommend
Food very good and free secure car parking is excellent touch. This is our second stay in 7 weeks and will not be our last. My daughter and partner has also stayed here recently They range of draught beers is limited no Smithwicks or McArdles ale
Parking, food, cleanliness, staff Poor views - one of the rooms looked on to huge pipes and was noisy - also that room was cold and should have been heated as it was an accessibility room.
Nice decor comfortable room friendly staff Additional cost for wi fi etc,
great location just at the back of St Ann's Cathedral. Lots of beautiful restaurants in the area. Only a 10 minute walk into Victoria Square. Room was immaculately clean and the bathroom was very well designed. Free parking was a real bonus! Will definitely be back!
The location of the hotel 11am check out. Please that extra hour means so much especially driving back to Fermanagh
brand new hotel, clean and fresh.
Its location - very convenient to the local shops, restaurants and bars.
Very expensive with very limited amenities. The hotel kitchen closes early. SUPER Uncomfortable bed. The room was comparable to a dorm room in college. I requested a quiet room and was placed on the first floor. There is a dj playing loud music in the bar until 1am or so and I was able to hear every word of each song played. My breakfast in the morning wasn't even included and was pricey. I would not recommend or ever go back.
Staff were so helpful and efficent Tea/coffee facility in room
First impression was that hotel was lovely- welcoming. Food was tasty. Throw on bottom of bed was extremely dirty and waited 4 hours to get it changed. Lumpy pillows felt like sleeping on the floor. No hadwash in dispenser in bathroom. Steak too bloody , wasnt asked how I wanted it cooked. Young kids on rugby tour running around corirdors shouting and banging doors- no apology when I complained!!! Felt more tired leaving hotel when the Belfast trip was a birthday surprise for my husband.
Near to city centre with all its attractions-Helpful and friendly staff-Excellent value.
it was well run and friendly,we were made very welcome,a very clean well run hotel
The Shelleven Guest House is located within walking distance of the marina and shopping centre. The guest house is clean and well maintained. The room was bright and airy and comfortable. Breakfast was great - a good way to start the day! The staff were warm and friendly. I would stay there again.
For the two days that we were stayed at Shelleven Guest House, Everything was perfect. We could not highlight any points that were particularly better than any other. Wonderful couple and excellent food There were none.
Friendliness, ease of use, general high standard Lack of radiator/heating in the bathroom(!)
The Westons are charming, professionals who run an excellent business -nothing is a bother to them. The Guest House is close by all facilities in Bangor . We would highly recommend it.
A friendly place, well located for the town. Staff/owners willing to go the extra distance to ensure your comfort & convenience The shower was a bit lacklustre. Room was basic but adequate to my needs.
a warm welcome, helpful with any enquiries, upgraded to bigger room, breakfast very good, very relaxing environment.
Friendly staff .hotel was very clean
The people were friendly and helpful and the hotel was comfortable. The breakfasts were enormous and delicious.
Clean and tidy room and public areas plus welcoming proprietors. Also within easy walking distance of amenities in bangor.
Comfortable and spacious room Noise form the street
Lovely hotel close to the University. Pleasant and friendly staff. No problems at all during our 1 night stay.
Great room, great bar and restaurant No air conditioning in the summer
We were given an upgrade to an executive room which was great. Very comfortable and spacious. It ticked all the boxes. Staff was very friendly and helpfull. Hotel is situated in a quiet leafy area yet close to city centre and all its amenities (15 min. walk). Free parking was a great add on since parking is expensive in Belfast. If you have a room to the front on the first floor, above the bar and lounge, there can be noise till quite late at night. We were there on a weekend and the bar was pretty busy on Fri and Sat. We are good sleepers so it didn't really affect us but it could easely affect lesser sleepers.
nice room location quite far from the city centre
Quiet location, pleasant staff, large & comfortable room no
Staff could not have been nicer, especially on reception. Lee Ann, on Sunday morning even came out to the snow covered car park to help guide me out. Bar food was great and reasonably priced. Free car parking - great. Nothing.
The restaurant was very nice. Easy parking once you knew where it was. We were shown to the "Executive Suite" across the street. They have to show you where it is because the building is not labeled, and the room numbers not intuitive. (612L is on the second floor). The room appeared to be newly decorated. The first thing we noticed was that the television didn't work. There was no maintenance person on duty, so the desk clerk attempted to fix it, and was unable to. The internet was very weak (perhaps because we were across the street from the main hotel). The real nightmare was the bathroom. There was a jacuzzi tub, which my daughter wanted to take a bath in, but the cold water didn't appear to be connected, so she had to fill the tub with hot water, then wait for an hour to cool so she could get in. When she turned on the jets, one of the jets pointed straight up, creating a fountain which soaked the bathroom floor before she could get it turned off. The separate shower had an adjustable head, which was set at about chin height. When my husband tried to adjust the head, the entire thing came off in his hands. Only then did we realize that half of the hardware was missing. Oh, and the sofa was stained. So was the iron.
The staff were excellent..from the reception staff to the bar staff, very friendly and welcoming!
the room was beautiful
The hotel was great for shopping trips to Belfast. The rooms are clean & staff are friendly. Also they have free parking which in city centre hotels is a plus The lift is small & they don't have luggage trolleys to help bring your bags to the room
The hotel staff were wonderful so friendly and accomodating - nothing was too much bother for them. The hotel itself is beautifully kept, clean and very comfortable - I loved just lounging on the big sofa's in the hotel lobby people watching and soaking in the atmosphere. The rooms were very warm even with the heating off and there was a continious quite loud hum which would keep you awake if you did not have the foresight to bring ear plugs!
I love staying in this hotel on this occasion I mixed up our departure date and the staff were really understanding and allowed us to retain our room for the extra night.I particularily love the whole atmosphere at this hotel and it is always my hotel of choice when visiting Belfast. Nothing we did not like.
hotel was freezing cold, the food at the wedding reception was non existent, (not sure whether that was at hotels expense or wedding party) the food that was served was cold, i had stomach problems following day.
bed very comfy and quiet and its central position. the reception was very dark and uninviting, it wasnt suitable to sit and relax in.
Very luxurious hotel in the centre of Belfast Paid my bill on checking out and was asked had I used anything in mini bar, which I replied no,we never do.On checking my credit card account I was charged £9.50 on a seperate transaction I phoned the hotel and was informed the charge was for three packets of nuts and a bottle of water from the mini bar.I was told it must have been a mistake and apologized for the error.A refund was to be made to my card. Careless mistake by someone but I was not pleased.
Everything from the food, the staff and room service. N/A
It's city centre location is excellent and having a very good restaurant on site with late night entertainment really made the night worthwhile.
This hotel needs serious renovation. The price did not match the quality by a long shot. The hotel needs to improve it's customer service.
very relaxing hotel friendly staff and right in the heart of Belfast
everything was first class, from friendliness of staff to the quality of the room and the food. the price was a bit steep, I probably could have got somewhere equally as nice in Belfast for cheaper.
Piece & quiate.
The room was gorgeous, small but had all the space we needed for such a short stay. The bathroom was lovely and little extras liked candles around the room added to it all. None
The room was lovely, very big, and clean. Location was unbeatable. I felt that the hotel staff did not even know that we were guests at the hotel. It is hard to describe but it was almost like u check in, stay, and check out. The first morning, our door was knocked on twice which woke us up. The second night the fire alarm went off at about 2am and also woke us up.... :(
Staff were welcoming, rooms were lovely. Breakfast was very nice. Staff booked tickets for a show for me and organised an excellent sight seeing tour. The hotel looked for £400 to be put on my credit card which i found a little excessive seeing as cost of my booking was significantly less.
Gorgeous room, lovely staff although I wouldn't expect anything else in ni, the service is always wonderful in hotels, restaurants, taxis and shops.
Loved the location......the bathroom was fantastic !!!! Color scheme in room and had to bypass sunday breakfast......45 Minutes !!!! apparently not enough help.
Excellent staff: everybody very helpfull, a groom bring me to my room at the arrival, and show me how everything should be used (light for example). Always somebody here just to help. Location in the center of the city, with many nice restaurants around at walking distance. Price of the breakfeast is too expensive compared to thye european standart: 13 GBP for a classical continental breakfeast, and is you want some eggs, sausage or so (the classical english breakfeast), you will need to pay even more.
The hotel staff were very helpful and the standard of accommodation was excellent.
The accommodation is of a very high standard. Breakfast choice is excellent and the food is very good. The twin room we had, had no space between the beds. It was like a double bed the beds were so close together.
Everything was perfect but... in the bathroom there wasn't the toilet brush!
Very clean rooms, well appointed bathrooms (ours had shower and tub), umbrellas en suite, nearby to all major city center attractions
Very friendly staff in reception and generally service was very good apart from the bar where there were some delays. Nice rooms and very clean. Great location and nice areas to sit and chat Good Internet booking through booking engine was not good as they mistakenly charged for two rooms in advance where as the request was one prepaid room. The bar service on Sat night was not the best as there was a long wait. The directions on your website are very basic for somebody driving from Dublin and could be improved
Convenience of location Paying heavily to park
The staff were fantastic especially John at the desk who dealt with our bags and got us a taxi, wonderful people you have working at the belfast hilton, hope to be back again soon
Excellent value. Great breakfast. Nice views over Belfast. Hotel now 10 years old. Maintenance not given priority - damaged bathroom door, difficult bath/shower tap. Room 309.
The beds are so comfortable. Bar is lovely. Room was a bit cold, fault with air conditioning.
Close to the City Centre ,Lovely views and relaxed setting in bar The only thing I disliked was the price of parking, Very Excessive
Proximity to city centre and odysey arena where we were attending an event.
Staff and food Room could have been cleaner
The Staff were helpful but obviously frustrated breakfast was chaos and it took 30 mins to organise paying for parking in an alternative garage
How welcoming room, hotel and staff is. I was sorry to stay only one night. The bed is very confortable and with quality linen. The living room is absolutely lovely and even have a computer for free internet use.Nice breakfast too, with some cooked options. If I were to nickpick, I'd say that it would be desiderable a bigger TV screen size ans some more options of cerals for breakfast.
Our room was large and open. Breakfast was really nice. The staff were helpful in booking a city tour for us, and giving us directions.
The staff were exceptionally friendly
Very friendly and helpful staff. Large room with private bathroom. Computer with free Internet for guest use. Can be very noisy depending on who the other guests are and where they are situated. I had one very quiet night and one extremely noisy one. There's also nothing really there in that area within walking distance. I had a car so it wasn't too big a problem, but it still would have been nice to have been able to find a decent meal without having to drive into city center.
Well kept, good interior design, really clean and modern inside, great service-host was delightful None
Good breakfast and freindly staff.
Lovely friendly reception from boss lady at booking in and at breakfast - comfortable accommodation with all necessary facilities - upgrade from supposedly smaller single bedroom to triple single bed room - overall very clean - excellent shower Some light bulbs inoperative in bedroom - no between-bed table for 'bedside' storage - wallpaper starting to peel in bathroom - black staining within shower cubicle
Good communication system, friendly staff. Request re taxi attended to. Facility clean and comfortable Lack of lift facilities, especially with luggage to carry. Lighting quite dim
Loved the room design; location; car park; dollar value; At check-in the registrar asked if she could help and she booked us into a great restaurant for dinner. The smoked salmon option for breakfast was wonderful. Could use another shelf in the bathroom...and a lift (dragging suitcases upstairs was a 'drag.'
Very good staff, room and breakfast!! Staff was accomodating, room and bathroom was big and breakfast was great. Also had computer we could use in the lounge which was needed for driving directions and internet access. More hotel than b&b, but this was not a real problem.
The enormous, comfortable bed and beautiful antique furniture, amazing views and gardens at rear with easy access to town. Great breakfast to start your day.
A beautiful Art Nouveau house very tastefully furnished and in a superb location. Great attention to details and fantastic breakfast
enjoyed the stay - nice room and nice extras the only thing that i was disappointed in was the fact that breakfast was only served up until 930am - for a sunday morning i felt that was a bit strange
Very warm welcome Good choice of breakfasts Good welcome tray Thick towels
Excellent breadfast, view, apmostphere. Exotic decoration all around. None.
Food and service excellent. Room comfortable and spotless. Owner and staff very welcoming. Would recommend to others. Heat was not on in room when we returned at night.
Warm, friendly and obliging owner and staff. Outstanding breakfasts with local produce. Beautiful setting overlooking Ballyholme Bay.
Warm friendly setting with a touch of luxury. Very attentive yet relaxed staff.
Very friendly and helpful, food was very good, lovely view and they have a nice dog. Bathroom was a little small, would have liked a shaving light above the sink.
Room was good, staf were very helpful and went out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. Food in the restaurant was beautiful and was disappointed that we missed out on eating there the second night. Shower didn't work properly so had o hav a bath
very quiet location, friendly staff, perfect bed there is nice lobby, but they use it as some sort of restaurant. Anyone who wants to check in must go acros lobby full of people, i didnt realy like took at their full msuths os salmon :-) and they where not jappy looking at me either :-)
friendly staff, receptionist very good. nice and warm.however only one towel in the bathroom for a double room and required more coffee sachets. when asked for a top up they delivered within a few minutes. everything was lovely.
Friendly staff, and good restaurant.
I thought the staff were very friendly the food was very good and there was a nice and relaxed atmosphere at the Hotel Nothing
Staff were very friendly and polite, food was excellent and room was comfortable
