The rooms were clean and an extra bed in the room accomodated a child. Free Wifi was great for the teenagers. Rooms were serviced with clean towels left every day. Buffet breakfast was good, plenty of variety. Restaurant food was good. Staff were friendly and helpful. Paper cups for tea and coffee. Although rooms accomodated 3 only 2 cups and 2 of the small individual milk cartons were left each day each day.
I liked the chalet style of room with own front door. food was good value and excellent. Pet dog was welcome. Can't think of anything important.
The restaurant was above average - quite good. Staff was helpful with a small problem. Location near and good access to DeGaulle airport was very helpful. Senlis is an attractive and historic city.
Although we arrived just after the restaurant had closed, they held a table for us so that we could eat after a long journey. The staff were very friendly, and really seemed to enjoy their job. No. It was excellent value for money.
The staff were very good. I arrived at 2150 and dinner finished at 2200. I was told that I could still check into my room, stow my lugage etc and still have a meal if I wanted one from the non a la carte menu.
Location for the parc asterix site. Price was good compared to uk hotel Eating dinner was not a good experience, orders were wrong and when they did get it right, 10 minutes later they realised they had run out of one dish! Bill was a complete cock up.
Yours was the only hotel we visited in three weeks in France with tea and coffee facilities in the room - always welcome! Well presented Buffet too Perhaps a more obvious signage for the hotel -
no nonsense, just what we need
The hotel was confortable, clean and well equipped The closing door in the aisle was noisy when closing
I was nicely surprised by the hotel. It was much better than I expected. The rooms were nicely decorated, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was O.K. with a traditional continental style. The staff were approachable and friendly.
Nicely located wrt Compiegne, Pierrefonds
Clean room, very good and modern bathroom. Staff could be more forthcoming. Value for money. Reception staff not particularly friendly or willing to answer questions.
They accommodated us and our bicycles extremely well. Unfortunately it is/was a little too far out of town therefore not close to many nice restaurants.
clean functional rooms, good bar area, buffet breakfast v good. would have appreciated being able to book a family room - because of cost.
Nice hotel well placed close to main roads , very friendly staff . Breakfast expensive and gates on car park not working
very clean hotel and friendly staff restaurant not open in the evening
very clean and up-to-date, set away from traffic noise, good breakfast, plenty of parking well suited to travellers with a car, but would be difficult to get to if relying on public transport, as it it 4km from town centre
The staff were helpful with the problem we had. We had insects in our room and had to change rooms twice
A nice location near to the centre of Compiegne, but by the river. There was a smell of paint because they were decorating.
large room compare to the price.
Nothing in particular stands out some peeling wallpaper in the bathroom
staff were very pleasant the rooms smelt of cigarette smoke. They were badly lit and the decoration was very dreary
size of the room was great, good parking, good location too expensive for what you get, also children were a bit scared as the hotel was a bit creepy with red wallpaper and very dark
Convenient location, as it is 10 min walk to the train station.
We stayed in a family room, more an appartment. Very good value for money. Confortable, clean, quiet. Beds were good. -
3 star grading seems generous for this hotel. dark interior, hot , no air con
the flat screen tv. the receptionist was very kind and helpful. the bed had slats broken and it was not comfortable at all. the rooms were not entirely clean, and it was overpriced for the amenties received.
spacious room and warm room no kettle and no late check out. Unfriendly staffs.
The owner of this establishment went out of their way to make sure our stay was pleasurable. She arranged a time in the morning for our gourmet breakfast of fresh pastries, yogurt, quality coffee, orange juice, breads and cheese. She was always available to provide local information and suggestions; even to arrange a booking for dinner. The property contains an eclectic collection of art that adorn the very tastefully decorated rooms which reflect the period of the building and surrounding architecture. Speaking of the architecture, this establishment is located in the heart of the most picturesque French village you could imagine. Right next to one of the 13th century churches, it has immediate access to bakeries, delicatessens, restaurants and a town marketplace that runs twice a week. The breakfast could have included a little fresh fruit.
The hotel was very clean and well presented. The rooms on the front have a great view of the Castle and lake. The two rooms my daughter and I were given were large enough, but would have been very crowded if two people were occupying each of them. The shower cubicle was the smallest I have ever stepped into in many years of travelling. Any movement to soap yourself made your body push off the water tap. The receptionist gave us the wrong key code for the front door, therefore, when we returned at 10.30pm, we could not get in. The bell for assistance had been turned off and, had we not been lucky enough to be around when other guests with the correct code arrived, well, I hate to think what we would have done.
The room was big and has had a convenient bathroom. Nothing
i had booked 2 double rooms and before i went there i tried to change one for a single room as one of the people could not travel and they said they had none, but when we were checking in another couple came in looking for a room and the girl at receptionist said they only had a single. my mum ended up paying for a double room and my 2 friends ended up staying in a double room.
Perfect location with a lovely view of the castle and the lake. The room was spotlessly clean and comfortable. The bathroom was large and appeared to have been recently redone. The wifi worked without any problems. We had no problems with public parking across the street from the hotel (November 1st). The downside of having a room with a view of the castle is that it is on the street side and it is a little noisy, but in no way a deal breaker.
Hotel was clean, our room was clean/tidy and the bathroom obviously fairly recently been refurbished, shower was excellant and the added addition of the hairdryer was a bonus, however it may be an idea to add this to the room specification, as this is something we look for when booking a hotel usually. the view from mroom 321 was great
The staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The location was perfect, it overlooked the lake and castle.
Very clean room, mattress with good support (not self-evident in French hotel rooms in my experience), a magnificient view of the castle from the room, several small cafe around the lake (which is 10m from the hotel) to spend the evening.
The situation of the Hotel is excellent with views and lake and castle from the front. There was lots to do in the surrounding area. The Castle is well worth a visit, as is the site of the signing of the armistice a short drive away. The welcome was less than effusive. The rooms were adequate but basic. The room tab system was chaotic. Check the bill carefully to make sure that you haven't been charged for meals and drinks you haven't had. The restaurant food was poor and overpriced. The villagewas very touristy during the daytime.
Superb service, the host could not have been more helpful. Stunning view from hotel window of castle and lake. Excelent value for money ensuite rather cramped. Let them know in advance if a guest has mobility probems.
The cleanliness of the rooms and the bathrooms. n/a
Made my stay very enjoyable None can think of
Quiet and comfortable with helpful staff. Good link with local restaurant for evening meal. Difficult to find SatNav and many locals did not recgonise the address. The cinema next door would be a good way to locate this hotel.
Desk staff excellent. Cleanliness. Gym. 10 mins from E15 so great for north south trip. In an out of town shopping centre. Quiet no wall between bedroom and bathroom
The shower!!! and the hotel cleanliness, overall the facilities of the hotel were good. The bed was very comfortable too! The location of the hotel can be a trouble if you don't have a car, although you can always call a taxi (11 euros cost a taxi from the hotel to the train station). Also, the lack of enough hooks to hang towels in the bathroom make the space available near the basin a bit messy.
Excellent Accor Group hotel. Great view of the countryside. Modern, clean, well-designed. Walking distance to cinema, eating (in an out-of-town shopping zone). Good breakfast. Everything included in the price - WiFi, TV, breakfast. Spacious room - I took the family room (28m2) for two people for 119 euros and it was great value for money. Can't think of anything.
Roomps were very clean Hotel does not register in gps and was very difficult to find
Big rooms and nice design. Friendly people great car parking nice sauna
The hotel offered us value for money with a clean room and shower. However ir was not too easy to find given the street address was incorrect.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Modern hotel - very clean. Very comfortable bed. Excellent breakfast included. Secure car park. None!
typical Campanile, outside town near highway, excellent for one night stay, good fairly priced food. everything was fair - good .
The hotel moved us to an Ibis as they had a group booking - this was fine.
A bath! A rarity in French hotels; very convenient stop on the way south; can park just outside the room Lack of clear directions from town centre: we ended up in the forest on a road occupied by deer.
nice stopping off hotel we didn't feel that it was welcoming
Location The signposting to the hotel at the major road junction (5 roads)coming out of Compiegne on the se side of the town was very misleading. It pointed the wrong way. Not all motorists have SatNav. Yet!
It was clean and had bar and restaurant on site. It was available as a late booking, was reasonably priced and I do like the policy that late cancellations up to 18.00 hrs would not be charged. The staff were fairly efficient but rarely smiled so did not make the guests feel at home. There seemed to be no sign to reception, which was finally found in the restaurant. The food in the restaurant was ok but not as good as expected. - one of our evening meals was not freshly cooked but tasted re-heated and breakfast meat and cheese was not covered so dried quickly.
leaving Noisy,dirty.Poor breakfast
Good restaurant on site and parking available close to the rooms
advertised with no parking when there was able to get a evening meal and breakfast none
No Hassle from Staff
The proprieter was charming and multi-lingual and his attention to our needs as a family was faultless. The room was large and comfortable with lots of character, which reflected the hotel as a whole.
Everything - a simply lovely hotel. No!
the friendly and helpful staff, great place to stay
Spacious character bedroom, four poster bed, and super new bathroom.Secure parking in courtyard. Reception only in attendance after 5.00pm and in morning.Very helpful though.
Staff was very accommodating and friendly. Central location made it easy to walk anywhere. Lovely situation. Breaksfast was a bit skimpy.
Excellent family suite-spacious and well appointed. Very good breakfast. Very helpful staff.
Great location at the center of Villers-Cotterets. Free parking in the courtyard. Very friendly French/ English/ German speaking staff aiming to make you feel welcome and sharing the history of the region. Clean, functional rooms. Very nice overall atmosphere. Good breakfast for French standards. Good value for money! Beware of the attic rooms in August ... Il fait chaud!
The picturesque location (small town, old redone building)
A lovely charming hotel with a friendly owner who makes you feel most welcome. The town is just beautiful, with many excellent restaurants close by and gives you a great experience of 'rural France' if you are limited for time.
Charming courtyard, comfortable room, good location, courteous and helpful owner. Breakfast was minimal.
The ease of parking and a relatively quiet location. Not as good as other Mercures. No Mineral water in room and standard of decor not as good as some.
The room did not have a safe, which is quite important for business travellers.
Great location and comfortable room. Our one problem was that the previous guests had smoked in the room. The odor was difficult for us. It would be good if the hotel specified non-smoking rooms.
quietness, hospitality towards me and my dog, parking facilities, breakfast no
Being so close to the centre of Compiegne The room looked very dated, was on the ground floor overlooking a parking space and passers-by could look into the room unless we had the shutters closed.
good reception, good place and good service
The location with river view and easy access to town. Very warm, hospitable welcome. Also easy parking.
The parking and convenience to the centre of town
Nice room with a view on the Oise river
- parking lot reserved during reservation process, hotel didn't seem to know about it - wne making the reseervation asked for quite room: room provided was facing a very busy main street --> couldn't sleep - breakfast was listed at 7,50 in booking, but was cahrged by hotel at 8,00 (new prices as of 2008)
location and confort
service of a night porter ( we arrived after 9pm after reception was closed) and he was very helpful
Cheap The room was dirty and the batjhroom was not clean only 2 towels for 3 people.Mould on walls. No plates for breakfast food only a tray.
Very small rooms, like cabins in a ship. This hotel = motel.
Efficient check in, rooms basic but clean and just what was needed.
Clean and quiet room Poor breakfast, insufficient heating
Had all facilities, air-conditioning, wc, shower etc, TV, reasonably comfortable bed, free closed parking. Cheap price for travellers passing thriough. Unappealing colour scheme and poor lighting. Bathroom space inadequate, would not be easy for larger people.
Automated check-in procedure Breakfast was also good value for money Smell of smoke in non-smoking room Airco did not get the room very cool
We were surprised at the low price, and found it very adequate, clean, quiet, and the bed comfortable. The breakfast was good, with enough choice. Nothing, apart from banging my head on the bunk bed frame!
Self check in after hours. No staff available if there is a problem checking in, you could be left outside all night!
easy to find, good location, friendly receptionist. basic but excellent value for money not enough plug sockets and no english channel on TV
