Free wireless internet !!! breakfast good be better
Very nice central hotel.Good breakfast None
Good standard of room in an excellent location Parking quite difficult
Friendly and helpful staff. Good location
professional staff and large, comfortable room.
It was situated in the heart of the old city. There was no kleenex box, small room and no paper toilet holder.
good room, nice big bed not to much ligth in the corridor
Very helpful and welcoming male receptionist when I arrived who provided a very good recommendation for a nearby restaurant the security certificate on their wifi facility seemed to either non secure or to have expired which made it difficult to connect
Friendly welcome-The manager who welcomed us was a real gent who considered our needs before we did so ourselves-Best hotel manager I have encountered for many many years.Breakfast good and staff very attentive and the restaurant recomendation we received from the manager for dinner was wonderful and after a bottle of decent wine and a glass of calvados we slept well in our quiet room. The light in the stairs going off too early-delay the off switch by 10 seconds please.
V. Pleasant efficient staff
the restuarant. room 208. only one chair provided. the bathroom was cramped, unable to use the toilet correctly as the wash basin was in the way. Room was built into the roof and the location of the bed caused you to bang your head whist getting in and out of the bed (poor design). no lock on toilet door. No extractor fan in the bathroom. The hotel was well and truly overpriced.
Comfortable, clean, corteous and attentive staff Not well signposted from town
The room was a good size and very clean We were disappointed that the restaurant was not cooking meals on the night of our stay as we had been travelling for 9 hours and did not want to have to leave the hotel.
No best, it was very pleasant. No complaints
Nice restaurant, and friendly staff being charged 8 euro's for my 3 year old's breakfast (1 small bowel of cereal)
Excellent restaurant which served food late when we arrived
Friendly staff Limitted facilities at W/Es
Everything medium, no particular good point. Neighbour quite noisy.
Ground floor room with door direct to outside very convenient for dog.
Helpful staff - booked our table at restaurant in town. More motel than hotel - no evening meals - room felt slightly damp - charged extra for breakfast
The owner and his wife were very helpful, and helped our party of eight to book a restaurant on a Saturday evening. Would stay there again.
Quiet, good car parking, room clean, good breakfast (purely French, but that is fine) We chose that hotel because it had a restaurant. It turned out that short stay residents take second priority. The person at the desk was quite unapologetic in telling me that it was totally booked. He could think of only one restaurant in the town (driving distance) and that was closed. We had to drive elsewhere. So it was a very unsatisfactory stay for one overnight in the middle of a journey. The trouble with booking on booking.com is that one doesn't get the chance to check that things like the restaurant are really going to be avaiable.
In a residential area with plenty of easy parking. Nice people. Most people staying seemed to be traveling workers. Great as a cost effective, easy stop over. Cost balance is correct. Room was not big and could use a little update but the bathroom was brand new and very functional.
Large grounds. We picniced outside our room in the sunshine. No food the night we stayed. No food the two separate nights we stayed. Local eating places were closed, but we managed. See above, the second time we stayed we picniced with supplies fron a nearby supermarket.
Quiet, very comfortable and clean. Pleasant, English speaking staff. Friendly dog! Potholes in the drive!
We stayd at the hotel for nine nights. It is bad situated in an industrial area. I you are intending to visit Vernon it can be useful to check up other alternativs. It is bad situated in an industrial area.
The staff were very friendly and the accomodation very clean and comfortable. We would have like to have eaten a meal there but we new that facility was not available but it would have been nice to have it as an option.
The location and style was nice but...... Although it was an old manor house the fixtures and fittings did not have to look 'tired'. There were large damp patches on the bedroom wall and the carpet was well past it's best. Restaurant was pleasant, but food average.
The look of the chateau and it's surrounding gardens The practical touches like blinds to close reception. It spoily the grandeur
Quiet location (with free parking!). Near Monets garden and some pleasant contryside and towns. We were not told that restaurant was closed on Sunday evening. The reception closes at 9:00pm along with the bar/lounge.
An excellent menu, really quiet environment, and a great location- esp. for visits to Monet's Garden.
We were welcomed warmly, the room was spacious and relaxing, and ut was very quiet with little else around.plus,a chateau sounded like the perfect place to end our trip around france before heading into the chaos of paris!! Nope!Apart from they had advertised there to be a restaurant on site, but it wasnt open in weekends (which hadnt been indicated on the website).hiwever they did offer another restaurant nearby and booked us a table in a cute little cottage-and it was the best french meal we had!!
pleasant receptionist stinky pillows
Very warm, welcoming and comfortable. Next door to golf course and superb restaurant.
We had a spacious room, nice big bathroom and shower, and particularly appreciated the artistic touches in the decoration. Reception closed down before we arrived, and we had trouble locating the person who would let us in and show us our room.
Pleasant quiet location. A restaurant is next door. Pleasant quiet location, could be too quiet when you stay longer
Room was lovely and immaculate with some nice finishing touches throughout the whole hotel. Would have been nice with a pool but only because it was so hot.
Overnight stay o holday travel It was very difficult to find
Noise from play area and difficulty in finding it with the directions we had
Hotel very easy to find and good restaurant on site. Staff pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was a little over priced.
Comfortable and perfectly satisfactaory for our requirements
Adequate accommodation for the money, but let down by poor food and very expensive drinks Confusion during the booking - in process due to language differences. Eventually resolved ok, but more by good luck than anything else
Wonderful new bed which was part of a trial of new beds - really comfortable! Food not as good as other Campanile (dinner, plat du jour)
Expected standards. Quality of food good. It's actuial location and poor visibility from the road to find it. Siignage sent us down the Avenue Winston Churchill and it took some time to find. Usually Campanile hotels are very easy to see and so locate
The staff were pleasant and helpful, the cost was reasonable and the breakfast was good. It was very close to a noisy road.
I always stay at a Campanile Hotel if there is one available where I went to go. My next best choice is Ibis.
The location was very convenient; and it was well signposted. The dinner was, as expected, good. The breakfast buffet was very poor value, and not really up to standard. The choice of cereals and of pastries was very limited, and there were no pancakes (although we didn't ask), and the fruit was so old it was almost fossilised! The decor was very tired, and although the room was superficially clean, the edges of the floor, tiles, etc, and the walls and ceiling were filthy and clearly had not been cleaned for long time. We booked a triple+cot. Luckily we happened to have brought our own cot with us after staying with family, because they didn't supply one and didn't even bother to apologise. The room was so small, you could barely fit it in.The bathroom door did not shut and the shutters were broken.
Gorgeous view on the Seine, nice room and an excellent restaurant, all at very affordable prices.
Fantastic location, rather quirky Expensive Champagne breakfast
Proximity to Giverny enabling a long visit to Monet`s house ,garden and museum with a very pleasant lunch. General feeling of poor management supervision - perhaps we timed our visit badly!!!
The position and setting of the hotel and it's unique style. The quality and presentation of the food. The Coumtryside room that we occupied lacked light and would have benifitted by an additional cieling mounted lamp.
Lovely location, gorgeous setting, wifi included, blissfully comfortable bed Rooms could have used another light; a bit dim at night
We were the first reservation that this hotel had received via Booking.com and they thoroughly spoilt us. The gourmet meal was superb and the service impeccable. Ours is the first review of this hotel and we recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a little bit of luxury by the Seine.
Excellent nouvelle cuisine Room very low head height & cramped
Wonderful location overlooking the Seine.Food was excellent if a little expensive Rooms were very nice but suffer from the aesthetic approach rather than practical-no curtain or separation for the shower in the bathroom so water goes everywhere-but it looks good!
The food was superb Our room was very dark and it was located in the 'attic' with very low ceilings, hence we suffered from back ache from bending
Excellent position, with views over Seine, from room (side view) and restaurant. Good parking, right in front of hotel. Booked a garden room, which is admittedly the economy room, but very dissapointing. Did not look at all like picture on website. Attic room with little headroom, too dark - not enough lights and deep purple decor made it worse. Couldn't see to read properly. No bath, we were not asked if we wanted one, and prospectus did not say there wasn't one. Dinner 22euro choice looked good but starters were poor - miniscule piece of fish 3 inches x 1 inch, and what was the tasteless egg floating in a sea of liquid? Maincourse good, but no vegetables whatsoever. Headwaiter's initial approach rather brash and superior.
The hotel was pleasant and functional. The staff were friendly and rooms ideal for a short stay
The room was comfortable and the restaurant was excellent. The hotel was conveniently situated near to the N154 for an overnight stop
The restaurant was very pleasant, informal, friendly and helpful staff and interesting and enjoyable menu.
Good clean comfortable hotel with good food.
I wish the restaurant had been open
Good location for stopover, efficient internet booking system, good choice for breakfast reasomable price Change of initial room necessary due to improper preparation. In replacement room, bathroom handbasin, being cracked, required replacement and its faucet was faulty. Breakfast advertised as 7.30- 09.00 A.M. but at 8.00 A.m the tables had not been cleared from the previous evening.
Use this hotel at least twice a year, because of its convenient location. It just keeps changing its name! If you arrive after 8.30pm (Saturday in this case) the hotel reception is closed. A telephone number is on the door for one to call for the code to open the door. If you don't have a mobile this is extremely inconvenient. Keys are left in the doors of the room allocated. There are never enough pillows in the room. Most English people like two pillows each. With no-one on reception, this cannot be rectified.
Excellent evening meal and very convenient to the motor way. A second chair in the room would have ben useful.
Very comfortable room - especially generous and comfy bed. No restaurant open at weekends. Used this hotel as a stopover on long journey through France and we booked it because it had a restaurant on site. Very inconvenient to have to out agin in car to get something to eat.
Just off N134, ideal stop over when travelling through France to Spain Disappointed the Hotel restaurant chef was not their on Friday and hotel only served very simple salads
The receptionist was very helpful, and the rooms were comfotable and clean. car parking on site if you arrive early. Can get a little noisy in the early morning being opposite a busy railway station. Room was only set up for 1 person. business hotel.
Staff friendly and helpful. Reasonable restaurant nearby, just one, a bit pricey for what it was. Not in the town centre, slightly outside near the railway. Shower small. Room small. Basic.
The bed was broken, the shower was broken, no one was on reception, breakfast was next door in a bar, with split chairs & not very clean
Friendly staff and comfortable room. Hotel had a worn and fading nature; some lights not working etc. -- lacking maitenance on the detail. Access off a busy road hard to spot first pass.
Friendly staff, nice breakfast in boulangerie next door. Fine for stop over.
On main road and difficult to find and access parking area. No lift. No Air Conditioning.
Convenient, good restaurant but see below Suprised that with 20 satelite channels, not one was in English, not acceptable for an international hotel.Although we speak French, UK news channels and others are much better and essential for UK travellers. Noisy children above all night!
Room was basic but clean Reception was closed and with poor instructions of where to go. Went in to tabac to ask and found out that this was how we got hold of hotel staff. Hotel picture on website was misleading. Area around the hotel is not attractive and the parking area was untidy. It looked unkempt. The hotel does not look like it had been fully refurbished and was disappointing.
Location Staff seemed pleasant but busy elsewhere
Too noisy due to traffic right next to the front of the hotel.
We stayed at this hotel after visiting Monet's Garden at Giverny. The staff were very welcoming and our room was small but comfortable for one night. The restaurant meal was excellent. Good wifi connection and parking. It is just off a main road but with the shutters down we were not disturbed by traffic.
We found the hotel extremely welcoming and eceptionally clean. The Staff etremely helpful, friendly and polite. The Restaurant was of a very high standard in cuisine, style and decor. A thoroughly recommendable hotel in every respect.
The public rooms were very well appointed and the staff extremely courteous and helpful. Only 1 pillow on the bed. Bar area cramped into Reception. Pasta only available with main meal.
The hotel was as described -the rooms were good, the staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was very good. We were returning to Calais after a touring holiday & chose to stay in Vernon as our daughter had stayed there several times in her teens, with a family, and we had also visited with her once. Nothing
Basic but clean and comfotable. Good WiFi. Plenty of free parking.
It was close to Monet's Garden at Giverny, only 10 mins drive away. It was out of the way. There was only one menu choice for dinner at the restaurant. The staff were initially quite aloof. You needed to speak French for any queries as the staff did not speak any English.
Very friendly and accommodating staff. Great breakfast. Although the staff did not speak english, they were very friendly and were patient with my requests. None!
10 minutes away from C.Monet Museum, but there is hotels closer!
Beds very comfortable and toilet/shower very good. Overall we were very pleased with the hotel and its convenient location, very relaxed atmosphere. The family were impressed with the wide selection at breakfast. Slight disappointment, one of the reasons for booking the hotel was the convenience of a restaurant facility. Regrettably this was closed on both the days we were there, I notice that in the hotels own publicity it is closed on Sundays - this is not mentioned in your description. My daughter felt and I support her, it would be nice to have coffee/tea facilities in the room as is usual in England.
Easy access to the restaurant and the good food preparation. The staff was comfortable and agreeable to work with with our limited French vocabulary! Having to walk through the smoking area right at the front entrance. It was difficult to find the hotel.
Quick and efficient check-in and check-out. Lack of natural light/ventillation in the room (one small window only) with a catch, which needed some minor repairs and there were (what looked like) crumbs on the bed on arrival
The thing I liked best during our stay at Premiere Classe Evreux was leaving it behind the next morning We didn't like the tiny pod that was our room and even less the smaller pod squeezed into a corner that was the shower / wet room / loo. The bunk bed suspended from the ceiling over the double bed was a scary head banger. There was nowhere to hang your clothes.
Excellent service staff very helpful rooms very clean Breakfast very god. Showers a little small, the rooms tended to be a little dark so it is important that all the lights works
1. The room stank of tobacco smoke - even the bedding. (We'd requested non-smoking but nothing was available. 2. They were allowing a cat to walk on the counter - stepping over the actual breakfast food!!
Not much to put here except the 15% discount at the Camponile next door. Size and cleanliness of the room and as a 63 year old to be told there is only a bunkbed available having just driven 500 miles was not acceptable particularly I had prebooked a month in advance for the first time. The booking said two single beds not two bunkbeds.
nothing Admit it was inexpensive but have stayed in better youth hostels. Not really able to describe as a hotel - Two story motel - metal bunk beds!!!
The room was well-heated; the bed was comfortable. Washing facilities were a bit cramped.
Good basic accommodation and ideal for an overnight stay and good value for money. Restaurant available in Campanile next door. Friendly receptionist who spoke adequate English The general decoration and shower/toilet unit is all becoming worn and tired and rust is showing through at the bottom of the shower/toilet cubicle entrance. It all works well though. It is not easy to find.
The place was clean and tidy. The shower was powerful and hot. The cleaner arrived promptly and was keen to clean and enter the bedroom. This is the most basic hotel. It has a lino floor and artex type ceiling and walls and a tube fluro light which makes it feel very much like a prison cell! (not that ive been in prison) or even student halls type housing. The bedding was clean but bobbly and definitely due replacement. The main door was definitely not secure enough to prevent a break in. There is a basketball court of a council estate next to the hotel where kids played football at 8am until 10.30am, im guessing before school, extremely annoying. The tv was ancient and 10 channels in french only. The bathroom was tiny alike to halls of residence. A bit more basic than I was expecting! There is very little in the area, I only went to go to a football game in the nearby area
It was easy to find and very close to an excellent supermarket with petrol/diesel The room was non-smoking but it smelled like an ashtray. We wanted a triple room so booked a triple room...only to unlock the door to a double room with bunkbed over the double bed. Our daughter is 2 therefore we could not use the bunkbed. We ended up dragging the mattress onto the floor so my husband could sleep there. The bunkbed did not look safe enough to hold our weight so we thought it would be safer on the floor. Shower was filthy so we didn't bother. don't order breakfast!! What a rip off! We were not informed that under 10's eat free so it was lucky that we only ordered for 2. We had a choice of dried- out bread/sweet bread rolls with free flies, cereal with warm milk, coffee, fruit compote. Not worth almost 5 euro'S.
The location. The ability to sit out on a terrace and enjoy refreshments in quiet courtyard. Very comfortable bed. Secure parking. Staff attentive only when prompted. Menu expensive and limited. En-suite shower room in need of refreshment - shower cubicle showing some mould. No soap/ shower gel in dispensers and soap not otherwise provided. No milk with tea and coffee making facilities. Breakfast mediocre. Corridors and bedrooms dark and in need of redecoration.
Very old. needs total upgrade. Unfriendly staff. Overpriced.
We spended a wonderful time . Next time I hope to be there for more days .
The hotel is now under new management and it was clear they were very keen to impress. The gourmet menu was excellent and very good value. The wines were expensive but the proprietor took time to discuss and select a choice of wines for us - and did a deal! We booked 3 double rooms at the last minute, so it is difficult to make a constructive comment.
The staff were very helpful and friendly. The food was excelllent.
Very comfortable room and excellent service from check in to checkout. It felt right and the pictures on the web site reflected the true character of the hotel. A full price for a very full service, we will come again. No.
Staff Average food very over priced
Considering this hotel boasts it is 'gastronomique of the Region', the food was abysmal both the breakfast and evening meal and left a lot to be desired. We ate far better meals in local restaurants afterwards. A complaint we made to the Manager was totally rejected. He kept boasting that it was a gastronomique Hotel of the Region. We have no further means of complaining other than through you. I am quite happy to provide further details if requested.
Excellent location and wonderful gourmet food. Set 3-course meal for 33.50 Euros was very good.
fair size room. elevator. tv. ventiladed with windows including in the bathroom. beautiful dining room and garden, very good breakfast. secured parking if reserved. no
good location - en route back to England/ near Monet's garden comfortable clean room reasonable price no tea/coffee making facilities in room breakfast a bit minimal
city center location very average. not qualifying for a 3-star rated hotel.
Restaurant was good, Parking was available on the public car park outside the hotel so no need to pay for parking. Good location in the centre of the town. Easy access to Monets garden at Giverny. sounds silly but the front doors were stiff and a bit difficult to get in with your bags.
A good base for exploring nearby Giverney a few miles away. here are ample restaurants and shops within a few blocks of the hotel, and a lovely park along the Seine. The staff was friendly and helpful, and we got what we expected. Try the adjoining restaurant, which was excellent! No air conditioning or fan, though it was not hot during our June stay. Also, no refrigerator or coffee in the room. And if you can get street parking, opt for that because getting out of the narrow parking garage exit can be quite difficult, and I wouldn't want to try it in a large vehicle!
good hotel in centre of vernon town close to giverny
Stayed here for one night so we could visit Giverny. Room for 3 was good size and very comfortable. Liked the separate WC apart from shower room, as this was very convenient for three people. Wish it were closer to train station, but only a 15 minute walk.
nice hotel in nice town. Good for Paris on the train. Meals looked good but restaurant was full on night we stayed. Good bistros in town Rooms a bit tired.
