Anduramba Homestead B&B - Crows Nest - Building
1
9.8 Excellent (39 reviews)
Overview Reviews
Anduramba Homestead and the surrounds provides a beautiful environment for unwinding and taking a break from the outside world. Wide verandas to sit and relax, read a book, listen to the birds. The Homestead has an interesting history, dating back to the early 1900’s, with this history comes an elegant charm and sense of place. Surrounded by expansive gardens and wildlife it will be hard not to find your favourite space to enjoy a hearty, home cooked breakfast served on fine china in the beautiful dining room. Sit in the beautiful vintage chesterfield lounges with a glass of local wine or muscat. For people who would like more to do then just relax and take in the views, there is an abundance of things to do and see in the area, such as, bird walks, trails, motor bike trails, horse trail riding, hikes, lakes, parks, wineries and lookouts, which the hosts will gladly map out for you. Only an hour from Toowoomba Wellcamp Airport.

Pros: The bathroom is bigger than some motel rooms! So luxurious. The owners were extremely friendly and helpful.
Cons: Loved having Netflix, but mildly disappointed they didn't have Foxtel to watch a bit more sport in my spare moments.
7.5 Good
Pros: It was only an overnight stay on the way to Townsville to visit my family but very comfortable with room and service but left early so did not experience breakfast.
Cons: I arrived after dark and it was a little difficult to see the sign until it was too late, had to do U-turn.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Located just before you enter the town of Crows Nest from the Toowoomba side. Drive into the property from the well signed and welcoming entrance off the main road and check in. You pay for your room and are given your key. A very short drive and you park right outside your door. The rooms are located just far enough away from the road to ensure a peaceful night's sleep, on the most comfortable bed I have slept on. The rooms are spotless with a kettle, variety of tea bags, coffee sachets, sugar and complimentary biscuits made in Queensland. Bonus! The shower is fantastic, water pressure is excellent. The hosts are lovely and their pet dog Darcy is the most beautiful, respectful and friendly pooch you could imagine. He never enters your room, stays a distance away but does not hesitate to respond to his name for a pat. The Crows Nest Motel is highly recommended.
Cons: Can't think of anything negative.

Pros: Peter and Thuy are a lovely welcoming couple and make you feel at ease very quickly. Their set up is extremely well thought out and feeding the animals was a big treat for the kids. There is plenty to do, the dogs Chilli and Pepper are so friendly, Chilli is a great guide for walking the property. Peter and Thuy have worked so hard to set up this property as a unique country escape. The food is fresh and mostly home grown. There is such an abundance of flora & fauna to enjoy with cattle, sheep, wallabies, echidnas, & plenty of bird life quietly feasting and meandering around our property. We invite you to take a swim in our lap pool (seasonal), or take a picnic up the hills and enjoy the sunsets while sipping on one of our chilled whites or robust reds. Our fruit trees & vegetable garden provide a constant stream of fresh produce and herbs, which we encourage you to enjoy during your stay. We offer as an additional extra, a Gourmet Breakfast Tray, which includes locally sourced products from our rich High Country surrounds. This is designed to feed 2 people for 2 mornings and priced at $44.00. Please advise at time of booking, if you would like this provided to your Cottage on arrival. Alternatively, you may wish to purchase a $50 Breakfast Voucher with award winning Emeraude Bistro which is a short 20 mins drive from Bunnyconnellen. This must also be arranged at time of booking and is subject to availability, and only available Friday, Saturday and Sunday mornings. For evenings, we can arrange for BBQ Packs for you to use on the Weber BBQ provided, and again, these are locally sourced. Please inquire at time of booking. Also being so close to the Bunya Mountains, Crows Nest Falls and many National Parks, why not stay two, three, or more nights, in our ideal location to benefit most from your 'time-away' in the high country. The choices are endless and yours to enjoy.

Pros: lovely quiet location. Very friendly and helpful hosts. the cottage was well appointed and comfortable A good selection of wines available and an excellent gift shop stocking quality items reasonably priced and different from the run of the mill.
Cons: I was disappointed that there was no swimming pool as this was one of the main reasons we chose this venue over several others that we looked at. there was a deep lap pool but it was not usable. the hosts kindly offered to try to clean it out for us to use but as I am a poor swimmer it would not have been suitable.
