9.6 Excellent
Pros: Everything was absolutely lovely!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent hotel in a great location - huge country garden property (including two polo fields) yet only 15 minutes from Heathrow. Staff tried exceptionally hard to please us. Food quality also outstanding.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff everyone helpful
Cons: I don't like 14% being added to a food bill in a hotel I don't think it's appropriate. I certainly don't like the same bill open for a gratuity. That is wrong. I thought the brown staff outfits were dull for summer
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Out in the countryside near Heathrow very easy to reach from airport or London. Beautiful grounds. Choice of restaurants, very good food. Well kept horses. Nice Spa, a very good idea for a relaxing weekend. The staff is sensational.
Cons: No pets. The bedrooms in the stable are poorly soundproofed. Your sleep well get interrupted.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful location, grounds & accomodation
Cons: Food & drink is quite expensive, albeit good quality
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The hotel and surrounding grounds are excellently kept. The staff were efficient and extremely courteous.
Cons: For a 5 Star hotel at this price point the TV in the room was small and wasn’t HD - disappointing trying to watch The Open with a blurred image. Also the ‘free’ internet was extremely slow in The Stable rooms.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Ice cream on arrival was a great touch, immaculate grounds, staff great.
Cons: Room was just OK for a 5* standard, breakfast was a total rip off for the quality received.

Pennyhill Park Hotel And Spa - Bagshot - Building
6
9.0 Excellent (1,553 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Pennyhill Park Hotel And Spa in Bagshot, you'll be within a 10-minute drive of Ascot Racecourse and Lapland UK. Featured amenities include a 24-hour business center, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and dry cleaning/laundry services. Free valet parking is available onsite.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful spa and range of facilities, perfect for a relaxing retreat
7.0 Good
Pros: Dinner at The Latymer was a wonderful experience - exceptional, and the sommelier in particular was fantastic. It made our weekend away. The spa was also well run, and spa treatments were excellent.
Cons: Sadly, the brasserie, bar and spa restaurant (Themis) all appeared to be short staffed. We waited a long time at every meal to be seated or served, had to ask several times for drinks, and generally felt the service was not to the standard you would expect of a ‘luxury’ venue. Most of the staff were excellent; there simply were not enough of them or the hotel was over it’s optimum capacity to give guests the experience they are paying for (nothing here is inexpensive!) Restaurant toilets were also not kept adequately clean or well stocked - no towels, toilet roll etc.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Staff were very friendly. The outside pools/jacuzzis were excellent. Food in the brasserie was very good.
Cons: Drinks were overpriced as pre-mixed in bottle, not made up fresh. Decor is a little dated. Service from pool bar was very slow. Also the card machine was not working so we had to go to upstairs bar to pay.
7.0 Good
Pros: Nowhere near a boutique hotel. Lacked any personal touch and no staff really interested in you apart from one overworked lady in Ascot Bar. Room service ordered and came totally cold so re- ordered and to be fair came again in 20 minutes now warm. No apology and no interest from reception or management.Cost far too high but real issue the lack of a good hotel feeling and non personalised approach from staff. Would choose elsewhere next time as hotel is only interested in your cash and rushing you out.
Cons: Non personal approach of most of the staff and the lack of distinction between hotel resident and many other guests for SPA etc. Really bad feeling
8.0 Excellent
Pros: breakfast was superb as was the Brassiere in the evening, fantastic surroundings and amazing spa facilities
5.4 Okay
Pros: The spa was fantastic. The outside and the grounds were lovely and the staff very helpful.
Cons: I feel as though the rooms need updating. The spa is fantastic but the rooms are very small, noisy and not reflective of the expensive price tag. When we arrived our room wasn’t available which was also disappointing - so we had to go straight to the spa. Considering we were only there 1 night I would have appreciated being able to go straight to our room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Hot baths
Cons: Price - too high
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic facilities, very clean and maintained to a very high standard, beautiful decor, can’t wait to go back.
Cons: It is expensive, but I understand to maintain and run a complex this size to this standard is going to cost a lot.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Beds were very comfy. Main meals was amazing. Staff were very lovely
Cons: Desserts were not great at all.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was really good value for money and dinner was lovely. We got upgraded to a suit which was nice and the spa facilities were great.
Cons: The maid tried to open our door to turn down the room in the evening when we were both in the bathroom therefore we didnt hear the knock. We had the shock of our lives but luckily she did not walk all the way in. They should know what time you have your dinner reservation and turn down the room then, not intrude on your evening in the room.

9.0 Excellent
Pros: The lounge dining area was comfortable and clean. The garden was well looked after, with a nice seating area weather permitting.
Cons: The only drawback was that we had to leave our room then go outside and enter another door to go into the lounge and dining room.

Pros: location was good and parking was the bonus and nice friendly staff.
Cons: The cost was a bit high but mainly because it was golf week.

Would recommend to anybody looking to stay for Ascot racing especially. I felt the gentleman could not do enough to please me! Good car parking as well. 8.8 Excellent
Pros: Nice owner and helpfull
Cons: It was a converted disable residents room attached to the house so wc and sink were very awkward to use also no table in room to eat at and only continental breakfast.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: very good location ,close to the Train Station and complex shops , the owner amazing Lady and helpfull ,quaite area ,view by the window to the garden ,breakfast good - for me even too much,Thank you, with pleasure I will be the next time in the hotel !!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything
Cons: Excellent stay
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Kathy was a wonderful hostess, nothing was too much trouble for her. A good hearty breakfast in the mornings with some delightful conversation to boot. I read several negative reviews and all I can say is it is not the Ritz, just a good old B&B. Highly recommended.
Cons: A shower door or curtain is needed. I felt a little bit guilty splashing water everywhere in the bathroom.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Everything Pretty little annex style room with ensuite and really pretty garden Kathy was the perfect host Very friendly and attentive Breakfast was fab and she even gave us a bottle of prosecco Lovely lady and fabulous 2 night stay Definately recommend
Cons: The toilet took alittle getting used to
10.0 Excellent
Pros: very good
Cons: Light above mirror for shaving
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Really pleased with our stay and Kathy was so lovely. The room had its own separate entrance too. She even fixed a table in her own space so I had an extra place to put makeup in our room as we were in the area for an event. Very sweet lady and good quiet location.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Kathy is very welcoming and ensures that you have everything you need. The accommodation is an annexe fully suitable for disabled travellers. It has its own front door. Very good (continental) breakfast - Kathy went and bought fresh fruit for us. Parking is nearby in (public) marked bays, WiFi worked well. A microwave is supplied. The garden, which you can sit in, is lovely - Kathy's domain! Good location, easy walk into Bracknell and bus connections nearby (Arlington Square) to Reading.
Cons: Nothing. As can be seen from the photos, the double bed is tight up against one outside wall and this does reflect that the accommodation is not spacious. Taking that into account, the B & B is good value in a Thames Valley town (recently rebuilt shopping centre - The Lexicon) and Kathy is a lovely and caring host.

Pros: The room was lovely, large, clean, super soft bed and tastefully decorated. The full English breakfast was excellent and plenty of it.
Cons: The only negative was the shared bathroom but it didn’t impact on me stay. It was next door, and I didn’t have to share it
3.8 Mediocre
Cons: My room had a very strong smell of dogs so maybe pets are welcome. Old bedroom furniture (not antique)... needs replacing, broken window, flaky paintwork, uncomfortable bed. Wish I'd noticed it was a shared bathroom because I wouldn't have booked. Glowing reviews did not reflect my experience.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: clean and nice staff.
Cons: not easy to find it and also the pipe in shower room got serious stuck. And the hot water is not stable.
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: Not much.
Cons: The B&B was not very welcoming and I felt I was an inconvenience. When I said I wouldn’t be having breakfast there was a look of relief and a comment that she would be able to have a lie in. When I arrived I was unable to get in as the gates were shut and nobody was answering, so I had to ring to be let in.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly and accommodating host, delicious breakfast, and quiet/pleasant location. Recommendation for nearby pub food was much appreciated.
Cons: it was a bit warm, but was fine after I had opened the windows. much better than stuffy modern hotels.
4.2 Okay
Pros: Very little - this is a private house masquerading as an hotel. It is not even a bed and breakfast - the breakfast is additional - £15 for a cooked breakfast and £10 for a continental - well above the real cost.
Cons: The extra cost of breakfast, the lack of a fridge in the room (so milk went off), there was no bar facilities and the private house restricted guests to certain areas, The ensuite bathroom did not have a waste bin. All in all one was made to feel that it was a privilege to stay there when in reality it charged hotel prices for s substantially lower service.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Lovely lady who owned the house, breakfast was a little expensive but I didn't take advantage of all that was on offer as not that big an eater on a morning. I would stay again and certainly recommend
Cons: Can't think of anything really that I would complain about
5.8 Okay

Pros: Very friendly and helpful staff ample parking
Cons: Very small room showers not very good and very dated very noisy guests who think it’s ok to bang doors and talk to each other very loudly in corridor late at night although not the fault of hotel
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was very good. I liked the use of the shared facilities. Safe parking for the van. I really liked it here as it was all I needed and the use of a few shared facilities made it more homely and welcome. Also very good value. This place was more suited for me but might not be so much for others who would rather pay much more and stay in newer surroundings. I am definitely going to be staying again. The staff are also very polite and helpful.

Pros: The staff were very friendly and the place was incredible value for money. Breakfast was very good and the room was comfortable. Bathrooms were not en suite (as advertised so no complaint!) but were very clean and always available. I would certainly stay there again.
Cons: Nothing. There was building work in the adjacent plot - not Tekels fault - and not intrusive.

5.0 Okay
Pros: do it yourself corn flakes or toast is not what we expected did expect a cooked breakfast as I have had in every B&B I have stayed in before
Cons: there were no windows in the room and it was very hot and stuffy sleeping was impossible did not enjoy our stay at all
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The room was spacious and the shared kitchen was stocked with all you need.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Was very drama free. Would definitely stay again!
6.0 Good
Pros: Nice new modern property, nice kitchen & dining area, liked how you don’t need a key and can just put the code in to access your room, also liked the nice touch of all the rooms having a cupboard in the kitchen where you can lock up goods if staying longer
Cons: Bed uncomfortable, kept waking up & could not get comfortable, continental breakfast a bit disappointing as sugar container had bits of coffee in it for sprinkling on my cereal, no butter, was a bit of lurpak in the fridge which is unspreadable on your toast and no jams, just marmalade - would have been nice to have some strawberry or raspberry jam
5.8 Okay
Pros: Room looked nice and had a nice bathroom. A nice private feel with very very little noise. Price was reasonable. Bed comfortable and good temperature of the room.
Cons: Breakfast was severely lacking, just bread cereal and fruit. Unsure of what we were allowed to take, would have been great for a sign to be out explaining it all (perhaps we missed it). Maybe extras like croissants and pastries would be a good idea. Did have a dead fly on our bed, rest of the room was spotless though.
7.9 Good
Cons: Communication with the staff over the phone.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The accommodation was very good, spotlessly clean and modern. The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom/wet room was smashing with lots of lovely hot water. In comparison to some other accommodation in the vicinity it offers great value with a touch of luxury. It must be good as my daughter wants to go again when we return to Bisley.
Cons: Nothing really, it would have been nice to of been able to warm the room up a little as it turned a little chilly in the evening and we could not see how the room was heated.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely clean room and communal area.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice spacious room.
Cons: Bathroom extraction fan not working.

Pros: I like how staff treated me and spoke to me.. very helpful indeed was feeling a little bit poorly and wanted a nice comfortable room to stay in and relax
7.9 Good
Pros: Very relaxing hotel
Cons: Nothing
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Beds, linen, theme, and staff made this hotel a delight to stay at, notwithstanding the issues we enjoyed our stay and staff were very responsive to our issues.
Cons: Our room 457 had an odd vibration due to a heater running in the room next door. Staff graciously moved us and gave a discount on the bill, however it was rather an inconvenience due to the timing. Our other room appeared to run out of hot water whilst running a bath, perhaps poor timing due to number of people using the hot water, however not ideal.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The staff were friendly , room clean and good size .
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great food, service, staff and cleanliness
Cons: A little dated
7.5 Good
Pros: Nice hotel, very quirky style. Room was clean and tidy, nice idea to supply a free bottle of still and fizzy water.
Cons: Poor, noisy plumbing. WiFi didn’t work nor did the free films. Breakfast wasn’t included in the room rate and it was too expensive to buy breakfast on the day.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: We only used the Hotel as a base so our visit didn't give us time to use the facilities. The staff were friendly and helpful. We are both disabled and our room was on the ground floor with a walk in shower as we had requested so the hotel catered for our needs. Room very clean and spacious as well as having sufficient furniture to make it comfortable.
Cons: Very few disabled parking spaces near Reception and we had to park quite a distance away. The disabled bays that were there are right next to the smoking area which wasn't very pleasant.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It's was just a beautiful stay, happy polite staff, a great friendly atmosphere and a truly fantastic breakfast. The place was immaculate. Wish we could of stayed longer. 10 out of 10
Cons: Nothing what so ever.
