The atmosphere was relaxing and welcoming. My wife loved the hand-towels rolled into the shape of two swans placed on the bed. The general plan and layout of the hotel was quite intimate.
Stayed here on first night of a touring trip. Really pleased with choice. Lovely small hotel. Really comfortable room with huge balcony. No hotel parking but no trouble parking on street outside. Excellent buffet breakfast and plenty of choice of nearby restaurants for other meals. Very close to lovely beach. Bit difficult to find without sat nav. We had to get directions from tourism office. The pool was quite small but we prefer beach so not a problem for us.
Location was good. Most of the staff was nice but one of the desk clerks, Rene, was almost insulting. He was not accommodating in the things he could accommodate but it was the way he behaved that made us uncomfortable. The bathroom had no hooks for anything, the room faced a wall so we didn't know whether it was day or night, the floor was grainy.
The location was very central It was a bit noisy
It's really next to the beach and the staff is very nice and helpful. Great value for the money.
The position of the hotel and the emenities. The room was very dated, patio doors need double glazing to reduce external noise level.
Very comfortable stay, staff etc very helpful, although extra, the breakfast was very good value
the room was perfect for my needs and very restfull. Bedding and towels changed on "Daily " basis My room was located near the central stairs on the first floorand was disturbed by entrance / lobby noise. I found the entrance doors open allowing noise from the street and from the Sports bar. thank goodness for ear plugs on occassions
I had a great room with a balcony overlooking the beach
It was close to the main shops and clubs. It was filthy, walls were covered in drips and stains, hairs stuck on wall surfaces. We didnt like to speculate what the drips and splatters were but we only stayed one night out of the two we paid for. The housekeeping staff start early so if your going to enjoy the nighlife dont expect to get any sleep through the screaming and furniture moving.
I liked it very much.
Beach, very friendly people, good food, night action. Hotel is in very noisy area. This hotel is no for somone ho need sillent and good place for rest.I recommend this hotel for young people and guy's. Sitges is city of guy's.
It was close to the beach.
Close to the beach, and within easy walking distance to the train station. I stayed here as it was cheaper than staying in Barcelona. The curtains were too thin and too much street light entered the room. In terms of brightness in the room at night, it was as if there was no night time.
Good price for half board, good value for money. Good location close to train station to travel to Barcelona. Clean new facilities. Very friendly personnel. The photos on the website were a bit deceptive - the swimming pool area is not as big as it seems on the photo, and closed up by rather tall buildings. Buffet menu a bit monotonous. Noise and vibration from train line nearby.
Clean rooms, friendly staff, comfortable bed and swimming pool. Bad food (quality and variety), basic room with minimum outdated furniture, awful room service.
Not a lot ! Location difficult to access by car ! Accomodation was 1-2 star, certainly not Spanish 3*. Pool OK; WIFI OK We were looking to stay in Sitges, but it was full due to Bank Holidays. Calafell was a disappointing alternative. rooms was spartan; whole place seemed to need some TLC.
Close to sea. Bright and adequate Breakfast poor quality - but plenty of cafes near by
Ive stayed here twice & its convenient, a standard family hotel, near the beach. Buffet dinners & breakfast incl. In price was very handy for those on a budget. Balcony in our room was great cause it was big. Our room was not clean!
Nothing good can be said about this hotel! This hotel is not 4 star worthy! There was no roomservice no minibar, the room + bathroom were dirty upon arrival, I could not get a roommove that day, nor did anyone come to clean the room later on. The sheets on our bed was not changed during my whole stay which was a week, not even upon request. I know this for sure because my sheet had a cigaret burn, which I also mentioned to the front desk. I even had to pay for 6 icecubes I had put in two cups. there was no ice machine available.
Good family-hotel. Good and large beds, spacious room and spacious badroom, nice balcony, large closet for your clothes and enough cabinets for your gear and other stuff. Good location: Close to the railway station (100 meters) which brings you to the centre of Barcelona in about 1 hour or to St. Vincent de Caldiers in 5 minutes. From St. Vincent de Caldiers there is a train to Reus (about 1 hour traveltime). The hotel is about 5 minutes walk from the beach. The sandy beach is super and stretches out over a long distance (several kms we guess). Along the beach there are plenty of restaurants and bars to choose from. There is one small supermarket near the hotel and a small indoor market at 15 minutes walking distance. The swimmingpool is not heated, the water was about as cold as the sea. The whole day long you have to listen to music which is played over outside speakers around the pool, so on your balcony you have to enjoy that as well. The music sounds like semi-classical music that mimics the background music of the earliest Tom and Jerry cartoons. The music stops at 22:00, and the balcony-door is good soundproof so it won't keep you awake.
We arrived at 14:45 when check in time is 15:00. the receptionist didn't agree to talk to us at all till 15:00. while waiting at the lobby I noticed his rude attitude towards who-ever tried to apply to him. The room was tiny with a window to the drain pipes - so it was smelly as well. at night when rain started water licked all over and wet the beds and stuff. the elevator stopped working so we had to go 4 floors up and down with our stuff. don't go there!
We loved Douglas the receptionist, he is one of the friendliest helpful guys I have known in any hotel....don't let him go rooms are a bit small, and could do with a fridge and some coffee making facilities
Cleanliness/ location The young man from Wales was too harsh in his responses to the extend that he came across as being rude and condensending, particlar to my black partner almost to the extend of being racist.
great location and nice staff !! everything within short walk away... i would continue staying at this place every time i go to amsterdam !!
good location and facilities were as expected. Check in staff member was polite and helpful. Handy location to beach an cafes.
Location and staff! Room was terribly dusty.
The design of the hotel is interesting and romantic. The location of the hotel is excellent: fantastic view of the sea and, besides, you are in the centre of Sitges, everything is near - the old centre, shops, restaurants. Breakfast was delicious Thank you very much for the stay.
Excellent position Facilities for drinks / snacks at the pool would have been appropriate
Frinedly people, good location, nice building The slide door at the entrance is really noisy.
location , room
The rooms and their cleanliness were excellent Lack of English TV despite staff's efforts. Restaurant good for breakfast, but not good for evening meal.So called "seaview" was an exaggeration.
The location was excellent.
Excellent proximity to everything in Sitges, particularly the film festival. All was excellent except for one consistently rude concierge.
The location of the hotel is excellent. The entry to the carpark is tiny. Really only good for small cars.
Nice hotel with perfect location. Fresh OJ and good coffee at breakfast buffet! Lovely view over the ocean from the breakfast table. Staff was helpful when you asked for help. Cleaning staff was very friendly! Bed was a bit hard. Noise travelled a bit too easy between rooms and corridors. No guests were too loud, so his wasn't that big of a problem.
Pilar was a very good resource of information
The owners were very gracious, great hosts, fun and Iam can really cook! Its "out of the wayness" was very cool and yet it was central to much.
everything Hosts are excellent No
The stay in Hotel Sumidors was qualified excellent. Sumidors is located on one of the most beautiful hills around Sitges. Quiet, authentic with very professional and nice staff. We can recommend this hotel to everyone!
The hosts were welcoming and attentive.
Beautiful rural quiet location - lovely setting, and fabulous old farmhouse building. Very comfortable rooms, friendly welcoming helpful service.Excellent pool, and relaxed atmosphere for dining. A car is required to access local facilities.
We went for one week in the 2 adults appartment (with baby). Seaside location is great, plenty of great restaraunts around. In house two italian restaurants are very good; room-service of the spanish breakfast was very much appreciated, as the room-service for the dinner. Appartment was +- 40m, small but did the job for 2 adults. Seaside views excellent. Kitchen was basic, but clean. Value for money. No problems with warm water. Cleanliness of the room could be better. The room smelled like dust and I don't think the cleaning service used a hoover in a while under the bed, etc. Not that it was dirty, but just dusty. Sofas looked a bit wasted and need replacement. Parking at 20eur to expensive for long holidays, although in the streets can enough parking been found. Bathroom showerhead was broken (but there was a second one).
Nice manicured grounds and pool great location great balcony with view Wifi was expensive and slow foldout bed was uncomfortable poor aircon intrusive staff member who kept bothering us and yabbering on in spanish
location and hotel staff were brilliant was a bit noisy and there were quite a few children
Very central; very near the beach; comfortable and clean Breakfast, was terrible
good location. quiet hotel inclusive breakfast good quality.
Location and rooms No bar by the pool
We stayed in an apartment hotel. The kitchen smelled badly of stagnant water. We had to keep the door closed during our one night´s stay. If we had booked in for a longer stay I would not have stayed in that room but as it was just one night we put up with the smell.
The staff were quite nice and helpful, the location is excellent and the rooms are big. We got free wine (which unfortunately was off..fizzy rioja!), and it was good to have a washing machine I found it far too expensive for what you get (a tired dated room). Also we found it hard to sleep because of the air con and the noise outside. We booked 9 nights but checked out after 1 and move to another resort. It certainly doesn't have the feel of a luxury hotel - maybe once but not now.
Proximity to town yet still quiet I would like to have facility to extend TV stations - Sky Sport etc.
Mainly the fantastic sea and promenade views no
The hotel is fantastic. As a solo traveller, i was looking for a hotel that was relaxing during the day, lounging by the pool, yet a short taxi ride in to town at night. I had room service every night of my stay and the quality ane service was top class. As was breakfast every morning. I will definitely stay in this hotel in the near future..
Excellent facilities, large spacious rooms. Very corporate, there were a number of conferences when we were staying there and they seemed to take priority over regular guests. For example, one evening there was a buffet BBQ - as we were about to take our main course a conference of 30/40 people descended on the BBQ. This was fine as we were in no rush, however when the queue did eventualy clear we had to wait for fresh food to be cooked during which time a number of the conference attendees pushed in front of us for their 2nd helping!
Atmosphere, facilities Poor quality of the BBQ food
breakfast was great- fantastic choice. Pools clean. Massive room and comfortable bed. The road from the hotel was unfinished so was unsuitable for walking (unlit at night). This meant getting taxis each time you wished to leave the hotel (about 8-10 euros each time) If you upgrade to a seaview room please note the passing trains are constant and the high speed trains do distub the peace. A nightclub somewhere near by goes on until 6am and the noise carries. (I am not sure if this was just weekend thought) - we checked out after two nights (due to above!). There is no shop on site for things like large bottles of water, and the food in the hotel was in our view expensive.
Hotel has everything you would ask for on a short break.Staff very pleasant and helpful.Pool area spacious, private and clean. Room was very clean, spacious and had excellent bathroom facilities. Furthermore, the view from the terrace of the sea and Sitges was outstanding. Not troubled by noise at any stage.Would highly recommend this hotel. We could not access our room one evening and had a wait of about one hour until lock on door was repaired.Manager of hotel offered a complimentary lunch. Excellent service. Distance from Sitges and beaches was a slight problem. We relied on shuttle service from hotel.Shuttle service was good but could be extended beyond 6.15pm, this being the time of last bus back to hotel. Other than that no complaints
the location and the design for a 5 stars hotel some basic things were missing such a DVD player
The room was huge, and very comfortable, the Spa is well run and a great place to spend a day. The food is very good, buffet every night, so we were permanently stuffed full. Food cost about twice as much as it should have been, especially after the room cost quite a lot in the first place. Due to it's location, the clientele are a bit of a captive audience, so there is little choice. A cheaper option for eating would have made this the perfect place to stay at any time.
Polite and nice staff, quiet atmosphere. The food needs improvement, quantities offered fall short of the price paid for the various meals. Since there are no eating facilities close by, one is forced to eat at the hotel of pay up to 20 EU for a trip to town to get a bite which is essential given the minute portions offered on the menu. Almost necessary to order a hamburger in the lobby during the day, otherwise go hungry. A bus to town would help. I hope to go back to Stiges but will probably stay closer to town although Dolce Hotel would have been my choice if there was better access to the town and the beaches.
Dolce was perfect for what we were looking for. A beautiful hotel. A short taxi ride from the beach area of Sitges. Offered a shuttle service to the closest beach every half hour and twice a day to the centre of town. Very quiet at night.
Pool Response time of staff
Loved the rooms, the design and location. The staff was also extremely friendly and helpful. I have recommended and will recommend this hotel to my friends & family.
The hotel was bright and clean Room too small especially when classed as a 'suite'. Noise from nightclub could be heard until 3am when the hotel claimed to be soundproof.
romantic room a little small
Staff and location were excellent along with beautiful, stylish rooms. Nothing!
Very comfortable. Free wi-fi. Location. Breakfast is adequate, but more choice would help, particularly if a stay is more than a few days.
The hotel was in a central location, close to both cafes and beach. It's also very modern and feels very airy and fresh. It's a pity the location for the hotel close to the church on the Booking.com web site is incorrect and took a long while to find the hotel. Breakfast was very poor with very little choice or variety.
The hotel is situated in the interesting inner city, near the beach, close to the shopping area. Very clean, new and modern. WiFi is free. The room is spacious. Very attentive and helpful staff. No bins in the room. Breakfeast is not very rich continental experience.Front rooms are noisy.
very stylish hotel there is no parking in the hotel (I think it is true for all the hotels in sitges) we had to pay 25 eur for the one night
Wonderful hotel, beautifully designed, hone like feeling from stuff and owner. Would have extended my stay if I could to stay there. Great food too!
Price and reception by staff; closeness to beach promenade no
Nearby the beach. We stay at rom 530 - and there was not any view.
The pool was fantastic The bathroom left a lot to be desired, the staff were ok but not great, cost more than it should.
This place is newly renovated and it was almost like driving a brand new car: clean and responsive. Our favorite part of our stay was how friendly the staff was. Everyone was welcoming and helpful yet gave us space to enjoy our vacation. Sometimes that is a hard balance to find. The pool area was beautiful and clean. The fact that this hotel is a little on the smaller side meant that there were plenty of chairs for everyone. The room was large and we had a great view of the pool and the city. The hotel is also very close to the beach. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. The only thing I can criticize is that it is a bit of a long walk from the train station and the city center. Our walk to dinner was long, but that was totally fine though because we could easily walk up the boardwalk. Definitely take a cab from the train station if you have large bags.
Good location to access promenade.Clean & tidy. I booked this hotel on the understanding that it was a double room (meaning double bed), as i was treating my wife to a weekend away as i've not seen her for a few weeks whilst working in Spain, only to find two single beds. On questioning the receptionist we were told that we had to request a double bed but they were all taken. Surely if you are advertising & selling the room as a double room as oppose to twin room then that's what we should be getting for our money????? There is no allocated parking for this hotel, it's just pot luck if you happen to find a space close to the hotel, this can prove difficult as it is a very popular & busy resort.......
This was our second stay at the Antemare. All rooms were renovated during the last winter and are now comfortable, clean and quiet. They are decently sized and come with large terraces or balconies The staff is nice and helpful as always. Be aware that there is a 10 mins walk along the beach to the town center and the nightlife; not a bad thing considering how busy and noisy it can be during the summer months. In short, use your legs and sleep well. We will come back a third time.
The staff was very pleasant and accomodating
The new swimming pool area is just awsome! Really nice, calm... Although I do not know if the rooms that look at the swimmingpool are so happy with the music they pley till quite late in the evening...
Hotel staff welcoming and helpful, good value for money, excellent pool facilities.
great and great and great.... totally got my weekend get away as i wanted.
the location to the beach was outstanding. The rooms were very quiet, and the staff were helpful. We locked ourselves on the deck one night, and they came right away. the breakfast was acceptable, but not outstanding. The coffee machine malfunctioned, and the tables were not cleaned and prepared for the next guests quickly enough. The pool needed towels.
very nice English speaking staff and surroundings of the hotel made our weekend off trip feel like a real holiday!
very close to the beach. friendly staff. close to the center, but not exactly in the center, which is good.. not really...
the view to the sea the smell of the room... some kind of desificating liquid i assume it was that made the room smell quite bad
Location. location. Rooms in need of update, poor condition.
Location Very Noisey, you could here everything in the surrounding rooms. Manager and staff on desk when busy very rude. Reception internet computer very unreliable.
I like the beachside location, the higher floors, the closeness to the old town. On one evening there was too much noise from the restaurant at the beach opposite. (Hotel staff should have addressed this).
The near location to the beach and the wiew of Sitges. The hotel staff and their ability to always be there whenever you needed them but never intruding in any way. My absolut favourite in Sitges will try to go back as soon as possible. The only thing that was a bit surprising was that during checkout we found out that there was NO tax included in the price so it got a bit more expensive then we had expected but it was still worth the money.
The location of the hotel was excellent and very convenient. Sea facing room was great. I was intially booked into a "mountain view room" - this title is very misleading as there was no view at all - I then requested an upgrade to a Sea Facing room. I did find the standard of furnishings in the rooms to be average by international standards.
Very good location easy transfere to Barcelona ,peaceful area, Beds a lttle too hard.
Located close to the sea, room was clean and air conditioned, had a beautiful seaside view, a nice balcony. I thought that an 80 Euro bill for a very small amount of laundry was very excessive.
The cleanliness, the hotel itself with spacious rooms and bathrooms. Nice view. Nice hotel staff. Great.
The hotel was set at a perfect location.
nice outdoor bar too expensive for a mediocre room compared with other hotels in the area
Very helpful staff. We rang the day before we were due to arrive and asked if we could come a day early. Were upgraded as a result to best apartment and only had to pay a slightly higher charge for additional night. Great pools and afternoon entertainment by friendly lifeguard in pool for children. Apartment lovely with very comfortable beds and big balcony. Satelite TV only had spanish and German programmes except for CNN.
Relaxed atmosphere, friendly helpful staff.
Bedding was not very clean
Le Magrill restaurant in Hotel is abosultely brilliant - Lobster Rice Casserole was amazing - we went to Barcelona for a day by train - otherwise we just did Pool and beach - restaurants in main town of Sitges are mostly very good too - would definitely stay there again - even the 20 minute walk along the promenade would not put us off Bars and restaurants all shut at 11pm - Hotel has no room service after this time - Hotel has no information on local attractions, tours
nice view and close location to the sea. unkind staffs.
Best location and cost effective 4 star hotel.
the location on the beach is wonderful the staff´s respons to complaints is really poor, they take complaints very personal, the prices in the cafeteria are not marked correctly, we ordered coffee and croissants for 2.80€ and were charged 3.60€ and were told it was extra charge for the milk??????
Right on the beach The mini market in the basement is useful. The Wifi in the hotel was a joke- intermittent and low quality. To get anything done, I had to revert to my phone's data plan. The bed was horribly uncomfortable- I developed bad back pain as of the 2nd night. The staff wasn't able to resolve as all mattresses in the hotel were the same. Staff at the front desk was indifferent to customers.
Comfortable, reasonably quiet, facilities were good and the staff were always helpful if needed. We would recommend. Mainly the distance from the town facilities being aged 77 and 88 respectively, but the road train was an asset.
Clean rooms and hotel generally with lots of PayTV channels in many European languages (including a few BBC channels), and the free bikes were fantastically useful during our stay.
Location was excellent. Staff was friendly and room was very nice and clean. Restaurants had good food; however, service was poor. Pools were very attractive and the kids enjoyed them. Beach is very scenic and accessable. The hotel is at the end of the beach front street and is very scenic and is apart from the crowds near the center of the beach. Restaurant service was poor.
Close to beach, friendly staff. The wireless network did not work for internet access, that is one of the reasons we choose this hotel.
Nice staff, reasonable breakfast, great location, simple but clean room.
Location of hotel Bathroom was not cleaned sufficiently
Close to the beach Pure Internet access, A/C doesn't work
Friendly staff - hours of breakfast was great and to include breakfast in the price - staff always open to guide us on what we wanted to see visit - english - position was great - felt safe, 24 hour reception. would have been nice if the bar offered other food - drinks was good, but some light meal would have been nice. We were on 3rd floor and at night the mosquitoes were really bad if the window was open - we liked fresh air and didnt want to use airconditioner, but mosquitoes very bad to on the last night we had to use airconditioner.
hotel location Very small room and bed, bad smell
didnt like my room as it was at back of hotel and quite small
Staff No tea and coffee in the rooms. My camera was stolen from my room. You have to pay 20 Euros just to use the air con remote, you get it back but that is not service. It is not worth the money. It is not a hotel it is a upmarket PENSION
Friendly staff, beach nearby, old building, atmosphere, centre location, shops nearby, availability of lift, The room was small, the view was not like the net site promised, air was humid, noises heard
I liked the location and the cheerful maid. I didn't think much of breadfast. The pastries were tired looking, and the coffee machine and juice machine were something I would expect of an autoroute. Also, the rooms could be freshened up with some paint. And our blankets looked not very clean, and one had black marks on it. I would recommend it with reservations.
-Staff spoke english, 3 Minutes walk to the main train stations, Free wifi in lobby, Wifi in rooms, Newley renovated rooms.
The hotel's quirkiness and individuality, the art was amazing. Although there were cooking facilities there were no cooking utensils - odd! Room needed more shelf space/drawers for folded clothes etc. The noise from the dumping of bottles into recycling bins on the seaward side of the hotel. Parking in Sitges is awful, so good to have a car park, however it was a very awkwardly situated car park.
Very nice location, good beach and outstanding enterior. Really an art hotel! Restaurant overpriced and food is not worth the extra cost.
clean. good view. nice room. far from centre.
very nice hotel and comfortable rooms pool bar was closed with no possibility to have a drink; qiute strange for high season
the place near the sea no todo bien
Design of the hotel, exhibition in the lobby. The view.
The rooms facing the water have balconies, which is nice for the view and sounds of the ocean. Also, rooms have small kitchenettes and refrigerators, which are very dated, but functional. A few things were unappealing: 1. Parking garage was 15€/night, really small, and disorganized. People were double parked (despite the hotel assigning one spot per person) making a small garage even trickier to navigate. There were no working buttons to exit the garage meaning you had to stop by the front desk and ask them to let you out before you leave. Minor issues added up and made cost annoying. 2. Rooms are fairly dated. Old furniture, old appliances, etc. A "double" bed was old school European style with two twins pushed together. More updated hotels have replaced these with true doubles or queens. 3. Location is somewhat far from main center of town where historical buildings, main beach, and restaurants are located. About a 15-20 min walk.
its location near the marina and the beach staff rudeness, very poor value for money, being ripped off on the booking of the taxi to airport, lack of attention for client care
Nice quiet location, very clean and lovely staff. no
Quiet surroundings, near marina and its facilities, near attractive bay, civilised, good art and interesting building Internet wireless facilities expensive
location, patio on top floor beds were hard, gave me a backache
Very nice hotel and great value for Sitges I was unable to reserve a table in their restaurant for Sunday dinner for my family. They should make an exception to "no reservation" policy for guests of hotel.
Location and staff
Location, cleanliness, staff and fantastic breakfast
Location, great restaurant food and staff, helpful reception staff Noisy babies in restaurant!
