Pros: This is a really good rural hotel and very comfortable. Very handy for Leon which is a very fine city about 20 minutes away. Excellent food, both dinner and breakfast. I eat a particular diet and they just accommodated what I wanted without a problem. Unusually for rural Spain, the owner speaks really good English having lived in Edinburgh for a year.
Pros: We liked the quirkiness of the place, lots of vintage items recycled and repainted lots to look at and the rooms had had a lot of thought put into their decoration. Loads of full sized toiletries in the bathroom. Dinner was very nice, tasty and well cooked, the only criticism, only small, was that it seemed rushed, the language barrier maybe didn't help us to all feel at home with the owner, but that is our fault for not learning Spanish. We went for a long walk after dinner which was very pretty through the woods.
Cons: I was a little disappointed that from the pictures I thought the restaurant was in the room with the cave like walls and this was the reason I booked this hotel for our friends as I always like to book quirky places, however the restaurant was within the hotel in a more 'normal' room. Maybe if I had asked it may have been served in there, it was described as a common room to us. Parking was on the street but it was a very quiet village so not a real problem.
Pros: The place is very nice, it consist of an countryside classic house with confortable rooms. The staff is very friendly and they adapt very well to food limitations. Very nice place to visit in the middle of the countryside with the only downside of mosquitoes in the surroundings (not in the hotel).
Cons: It lacks a proper parking. You need to find place in the village around the hotel and for the least experience drivers (like me) it can be challenging.
Pros: Really relaxing inner courtyard Great staff A lot of character
Cons: The wifi wasnt the best as expected in the middle of the countryside
Pros: The setting, the courtyard, the rooms, the food and the lovely people.
Cons: Nothing. Fantastic experience all round.
Pros: What a fabulous quiet location in a pretty rural location. We were treated to exceptional hospitality and comfort. The set menu dinner was the best as was our breakfast and lovely hosts.
Cons: Liked everything ++++
Pros: The property was charming with great decor. Had both dinner and breakfast which were delicious. Next time I would love to spend more time there and relax in the atmosphere. Wonderful hosts
Pros: Everything! Exquisite experience.
Cons: There is nothing me and my family didn’t like, but just as a piece of feedback , if they provided a tea/coffee machine in the rooms, everything would be even more perfect, as one could have a drink whenever without having to ask.

Located midway between Oviedo and León, the hotel is 8 km from the AP66 Motorway. It is a 5-minute drive from Barrios de Luna Reservoir. Colourful, country-style rooms feature wooden floors and mountain views. Each is heated and has a work desk. The private bathroom comes with a hairdryer and organic toiletries. Guests can enjoy homemade cooking in the Días De Luna restaurant. Packed lunches are also available. There is a library with a fireplace, and you can play table tennis and darts. Free parking is offered and the hotel has a tour desk.
Pros: Beautiful and peaceful place to stay. Hotel is a former village school renovated with lots of good taste. Diner was delicious. The environment is stunning. We only stayed one night but I wish we could stay longer.
Pros: Dinner was fantastic as also the breakfast. The building is really nice as also are the rooms. It's located in a really nice location close to the mountains and there's a big river nearby. There are a lot of places were you can find excellent bread and muffins.
Cons: Nothing worth to be mentioned. Just take care of mosquitos in summer. :-)
Pros: A charming property in a wonderful location. The property is located in a tiny village tucked away next to the mountains, One gets a real sense of wilderness. That said, the property is only a 10 minute drive from the autopista so is actually quite accessible. The place was very tranquil with a nice garden. The property has a very traditional feel with lots of the original features of the building in evidence. There was adequate free parking on site. The dinner was excellent and a refreshing change from the standard cuisine. You should also check out their craft beer selection. Quite dangerous... Breakfast was good too. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Pros: Beautiful old house full of character in a quiet pretty village. Comfortable good sized bedroom. Clean bathroom and reliable hot water. Fabulous lounges with fireplace, big armchairs, lots of books and magazines, useful trekking maps. Good value evening meal including wine or beer. The food was excellent. Very good breakfast too. Nice range of craft beers and wines to choose from. Very pleasant shaded garden with tables and seats. Plenty of car parking. Strong wifi. Many good mountain walks nearby. Wish I could have stayed longer
Cons: From a walker's point of view I would have preferred an earlier breakfast - 9am is rather late when you have an 8 hour day ahead. Also evening meal starting at 9pm is a bit late when you have not eaten much all day on the hills. The evening meal appears a bit light but I found it surprisingly filling. My partner thought the pillows and mattress were a bit old and needed replacing soon
Pros: Good breakfast and quiet place.
Cons: A little bit far away from other services (restaurants, etc...).
Pros: Everything great. The place, dinners and breakfasts, the woman in charge...
Cons: Breakfasts were a little late for hikers and mountaineers. But I understand they can't please everyone.
Pros: The owner did her upmost to make our stay pleasurable
Pros: Sena de Luna is a very quiet mountain village - Dias de Luna is a fantastic Posada with a comfortable lounge offering blankets, boardgames and the chance to overlook the pretty garden, if you don't want to venture outside to explore the mountains nearby. Perfect host and value-for-money dinners and breakfast is provided on site. Excellent value-for-money location and friendly host who speaks spanish and french. Great as a base for hiking, for a short stay while travelling or as a longer hide-away for someone who seeks the quiet of a secluded mountain village.
With a stay at Hotel Rural Chousa Verde in Vegacervera, you'll be a 2-minute walk from Roman Bridge and within a 5-minute drive of Vegacervera Gorge.
Pros: Good location in a beautiful valley with access to very good hiking routes. Good large room.
Cons: Not a very good welcome. No information about the local area, or direction to the small information hut in the village. Disappointing restaurant.
Pros: This is a charming family run hotel in a mountain location, situated in the heart of a small village. There is a small restaurant with a garden terrace inside the hotel and we had lunch and evening meals here, the food was excellent. We also made use of the spa (extra price for this), which has a steam room, jacuzzi, swimming pool and exercise machines. There are some lovely walks from the hotel.
Cons: We should not expect a small hotel such as this to have staff who speak English, but they had helpfully translated the dinner and lunch menus into English. Unfortunately the English translation did not in all cases match up to the original description in Spanish, so we would have been better off with the menu in the original Spanish version as some confusion arose!
Pros: Beautiful views from the rooms in a remote location. Dinner was very good. The host was very accommodating
Pros: Close to Cueva del Valporquero. Stunningly charming property, clean, comfortable bed, excellent food, friendly innkeepers.

Pros: Lovely building. Friendly owners but relying on Google translate to communicate. They took us to nearest restaurant in car as we were on motorbikes. Secure parking behind electric gates.
Cons: No English spoken. Only white bread and cake for breakfast. No food or drinks other than breakfast. No restaurants close by. New railway flyover built behind hotel.
Pros: The owner was incredibly generous. She drove us to restaurants and picked us up free of charge. Always hospitable. Thank you so much.
Pros: Hosts were great and gave us a lift to the local restaurant (nearer 4km away than 2km). We had no Spanish and they had no English, but used web translations etc to help us understand
Cons: Low headroom in parts of bedroom and bathroom. Breakfast not great, lots of cake if you like that kind of thing.
Pros: It's a charming place in the middle of nowhere. The Restaurant that had been recommended was full of locals. That was nice. Breakfast was ok but there was no hot water (we had to use to microwave to heat the water). That was a bit peculiliar.
Cons: Hot water for tea especially as there are tea bags. People who like tea like hot water not microwaved water.
Pros: Quiet location.
Cons: Few facilities. No bar or evening meal available. We had to arrange taxi's to the nearby town to eat and drink.
Pros: The owners are very helpful and friendly, definitely going beyond the norm in the the effort they put in to make guests happy

Pros: This hostal is perfectly placed for superb walking in the region. The area south of Somiedo national park offers excellent walking across open terrain. Friendly and attentive service, good local advice and always a warm fire in the common room. Everything is well looked after and very clean. The setting of the village is dramatic and atmospheric. If you have a car I recommend walks from La Cueta, which has an excellent bar/restaurant But there are good walks directly from the hostal itself.
When you stay at Hostal La Collada de Aralla in Sena de Luna, you'll be 14 minutes by car from Barrios de Luna Reservoir. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The location was mad, totaly isolated, great for stargazing. Very basic, the food basic too. Breakfast was minimal but ok. It is something out of the odinary.
Cons: The bathroom smelled a little of drains.
Pros: Made very welcome and the owner was friendly, the food and drink was good and to hear Wolves calling in the hills behind the hotel made the stay.
Cons: There was nothing bad about it
Pros: Absolutely awesome location, gorgeous views in both directions back down into two different valleys. If you're on a motorbike as I was, it's a gorgeous twisty road! Reasonably popular with motorcyclist, another group of about 6/8 mixed m/f turned up whilst I was there. Sat and watched a lightning storm over the Picos in the evening from the picture window in the bar and chatted routes and motorbikes with strangers! :D
Cons: The food was less adventurous/local-Spanish than google images had led me to believe! I guess it's driven by demand and the other group who turned up definitely didn't share me desire to taste local dishes! lol I booked the room based on the food shown on google and was expecting this sort of thing. But the location was still awesome and the food served was perfectly good. https://www.google.com/maps/uv?hl=en&pb=!1s0xd37050520f19a75%3A0x24b912bb872228f0!2m22!2m2!1i80!2i80!3m1!2i20!16m16!1b1!2m2!1m1!1e1!2m2!1m1!1e3!2m2!1m1!1e5!2m2!1m1!1e4!2m2!1m1!1e6!3m1!7e115!4s%2Fmaps%2Fplace%2FHostal%2BRural%2BLa%2BCollada%2Bde%2BAralla%2F%4042.9040043%2C-5.8049384%2C3a%2C75y%2C4.89h%2C90t%2Fdata%3D*213m4*211e1*213m2*211sCsP4lBs3zj7pdmMiFd5SmQ*212e0*214m2*213m1*211s0xd37050520f19a75%3A0x24b912bb872228f0!5sHostal%20Rural%20La%20Collada%20de%20Aralla%20-%20Google%20Search&imagekey=!1e10!2sAF1QipNEaj0IF0Wm7KBAzNDB97PhMRrs4uI8e6mI4c09&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwitocvW8eTdAhXKKsAKHfw5AuwQpx8wCnoECAsQDg
Pros: Amazing location and couldn’t fault the service the rooms were very clean and some of the most the most amazing views I have seen The food was great local tasty food I wouldn’t hesitate to book again Rocky
Pros: It was good overnight stopover in the middle of super scenery. Sadly we never got the full benefit because we arrived in wet and stormy conditions. The host was very helpful in drying our wet motorcycle clothes and she cooked us a warming meal at dinner time.
Pros: A very remote place high in the mountains. Views were amazing and the night sky was incredible.
Cons: Nothing to dislike about this very special place.
When you stay at Valle de San Emiliano in San Emiliano, you'll be 10 minutes by car from Barrios de Luna Reservoir. The front desk is staffed during limited hours.
Pros: The location was great and had been to hostel before and found it o/k, but with friends this time and they was not impressed, will not use again sadly.
Cons: Bathroom not clean, and hot water only just warm and only a trickle flow, are temp was told that's normal but will turn up but Did not and rust in water to make it yellow, I have video evidence, had to wait till next hotel to wash.
Pros: Quiet room
Cons: Room was small
Pros: Nice walk
Cons: Extremely cold room with no working heating when it was minus 5C outside Dreadful food which was partly dropped in floor Very poor service this morning and no one on the reception desk
Pros: Quiet, good locality in the mountains and in village with amenities.
Pros: Location, property, staff, comfortable bed
Cons: Bathroom could be cleaner, room is quite small
Pros: Nice owners, clean rooms and comfortable cafe/bar/restaurant. Quiet place, no traffic noise.
Cons: As in a road house it can be a bit noisy due to late guests.
Pros: This is the sort of place I like. A very good value hotel in a great location with a basic but comfortable bedroom, clean shared bathroom with hot shower, a welcoming bar and good restaurant. Everything you need for a short stay or after a long day's walking in the surrounding mountains without paying extra for unnecessary flummery. Good value 3 course evening meal provided with choice of dishes Great location next to the motorway and easy access to mountain walks. Shops nearby. Very nice staff
Cons: Breakfast could have been more substantial and 9am is a bit late if you want an early start walking
Pros: Great location for visiting the local mountains. Great hiking around here, beautiful countryside. Hotel was very easy to find, friendly staff, good hearty and very low priced food and drink. Very clean rooms, very clean bathroom. We got fresh cherries from the tree outside in our room, lovely gesture. Quiet, rooms were comfortable. Late night access, bar is open 09:00 till 23:00, foot available all day. Good breakfast. Quaint.
Cons: If I HAVE to criticize: The building is dated, outside area run down. Mattress was super soft....That’s all I can say, and frankly these points didn’t bother me at all. The feel of the place is pleasant and for the price, more than adequate.
Pros: + Great place! Decor like a fantastic 1970s Wes Anderson-style set piece and VERY CLEAN. Staff extremely helpful and dinner was lovely. 100% value!

With a stay at Hospedaje Senda del Huerna in Lena, you'll be within a 15-minute drive of Caudalia Mall and Church of San Juan. Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk, luggage storage, and laundry facilities.
Pros: The hostel was conveniently located in a village at the crossroads of the south-west Asturian mountains. The room was fairly basic, but comfortable. The communal fridge and microwave were a bonus. Friendly owner who gave information about bike routes in the area. Copious breakfast (fruit juice would have been nice to have too).
Cons: The bed and pillows were a little hard. The toilet in my room didn't always flush correctly.
Pros: Thick bath towells! Hospeltario very friendly!
Cons: Small room! One of Four with communal kitchen, washing machine, fridge.2 3/4 beds in very small room- one bed right in front of cramped toilet- access problematic!
