Pros: Great location, great host, great breakfast and great everything else.
Pros: Lovely outdoor pool. Plenty of space outside the property for adults and children. Very pleasant and comfortable outdoor seating. Modern and well kept, clean property. The suite room, (see pictures on the site) which is built around a large tree and some distance from the other accommodation is very nice.
Cons: Price paid far exceeded the quality of the accommodation or services provided - 1. Rooms should be air conditioned. 2. Insect screens should be installed on the windows. 3. Toilets and areas in the vicinity of the pool were dirty and required cleaning. 4. The Booking.com accommodation info. includes mention of a shared kitchen facility. However, when we asked when we would be able to make use of the kitchen, we were informed that it was not "usually made available" to guests. 5. Could not pay with a credit card and had to drive far to obtain cash from an ATM and then return to the property to pay the bill.
Pros: Jan was an amazing host and has such a beautiful home. We felt at home from the moment we arrived, the service, food and surrounds were perfect. We will definitely be back for a long relaxing weekend.
Pros: A family of 4, (2 adults and 2 Teenagers). We reserved a suite, ("Tree House") room and a regular double room at this property for three nights as "back up" accommodation while visiting friends in the area. As things turned out, we only stayed one night, checked out on the morning of the third but were unable to get a refund and and therefore had to pay for three. Friendly, helpful staff. Lovely outdoor pool. Plenty of space outside the property for adults and children. Very pleasant and comfortable outdoor seating. Modern and well kept, clean property. The suite room, (see pictures on the site) which is built around a large tree and some distance from the other accommodation is very special exceeded our expectations for the price charged. However, the regular double room which is located in the main building did not meet our expectations since it is not air conditioned & there were no insect screens fitted on the windows. Note: The temperature at the time of our visit in July was around 30`C. Nice continental breakfast, (but see note below) overall. But disappointed with the quality of the coffee served. Breakfast Note: We were a bit surprised to find that Breakfast is served at a large table where all guests sit down to eat. We did not eat dinner at the closest restaurants mentioned on the site, (did not look very attractive to us) but drove into the nearest town, (Bazas) to eat instead.
Cons: 1. Rooms should be air conditioned. 2. Insect screens should be installed on the windows. 3. Shower drain, ("suite room") blocked with hair and required cleaning. 4. The site mentions a shared kitchen facility. Accordingly, we were planning on preparing our own dinner. However, when we asked when we would be able to make use of the kitchen, we were informed that it was not "usually made available" to guests. 5. Could not pay with a credit card.
Pros: Whimsical yet elegant property; kindness and attention to detail of the lovely hosts; use of kitchen to be able to sample wonderful local products;
Cons: nothing !

Pros: Swimming pool, evening meal and breakfast
Cons: Building needs a good refurb and paint. Aircon in our room 109 buzzed every minute when turned off.
Pros: A family of 4, (2 adults and 2 Teenagers). We reserved a family suite room. The suite, 2 rooms, (1 double bed and 2 single beds) with one bathroom and a separate toilet was nice and exceeded our expectations for the price charged. Friendly, helpful staff. Lovely outdoor pool. Plenty of space inside and outside the property for adults and children. Very pleasant and comfortable outdoor and inside seating. Good air con. Modern and well kept, clean property. Nice breakfast and, (on this occasion - see note below) we enjoyed dinner at the property too. Note: Having visited the property a little while ago and having been disappointed with the service and quality of the food served at dinner during that visit, we were very pleased to find that the service provided us and the quality of the food served on this particular visit met our expectations.
Cons: 1. Stained carpet in our room. 2. Shower water pressure too weak.
Pros: Attractive, conveniently located, well maintained reasonably priced accomodation Friendly staff. Nice pools and activity area for children. Good airconditioning.
Cons: Very poor (slow) service at dinner time at the restaraunt. Menu, price and quality of food served disapointing. Note - Used to be excellent.

Pros: This is a beautiful old house with a very artistic interior. It is in a beautiful village in the countryside not far from Bordeaux. We woke up to beautiful sunshine, what more can one ask for? The owners are very hospitable and friendly. Would recommend no problem.
Pros: Super friendly staff , accommodated our late arrival , we look forward to returning !
Cons: The private bathroom was not private, there was no door and it was open and was directly opposite the door to the room so if someone opened the door they looked directly at you plus anyone else in the corridor could see you on the loo. The internet was not very good. We did not feel the room warranted the money asked.
Pros: Nice, quiet accomodation. Run by a a very friendly couple.

Pros: Lovely chateau. Great position. Bang next door to a long dog walking path. Pleasant hosts but all a bit of a bygone era.
Cons: My fault for not reading the small print. No wifi, doesn’t take credit cards, gates locked at night (I had said I would be late in) and dogs that growled at mine.
Pros: A delightful 19th century Château on the edge of Bazas. Very convenient for a walker on the Voie de Vézelay. Characterful room with a view of the gardens. Helpful owner allowed us to arrive early.
Cons: Bathroom would benefit from an update to modern mixer taps and shower fittings.
Pros: Good location , dog friendly, reasonably priced, good breakfast and pleasant owners.
Cons: we arrived at night and everything think was dark, no lights out side even in the parking place! At the hotel the everything is dark and closed, the passeo out side with the room was dark. Main bed was the extrabed and not comfortable and no furniture beside bed. No closet and no where to put a travel bag.

Pros: Lovely host, dog friendly, nice room, beautiful breakfast room. Great house.
Pros: Lovely genuine old chateau. Super couple running it. Comfortable room and good evening meal and breakfast.
Cons: Very difficult to find at night in the dark. Sign very high up and not near the entrance gate. Need to advertise locally - local tabac only 200 meters away did not know of their existence!
Pros: The Château hosts were delightful, the rooms clean and attractive and the food delicious. This is a top Chambre d’hôtes.
Cons: Nothing, all excellent
Pros: Very basic one small dainish and one small slice of bread and coffee expected more as paid 80 Euro’s place looked nice but poor value for money
Pros: No nearby restaurants open in the evening, just pizza etc, which is not what we wanted.
