Cons: Nothing
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Service. Breakfast. The room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Quite unique and beautiful place, well maintained, sparkling clean and relatively quiet. The owner together with all staff were very friendly, I would definitely consider coming back
Cons: The dinner menu was a bit limited and expensive for what we got. Lot of meat options. Breakfast didn’t have the biggest selection
5.8 Okay
Pros: service, very unresponsive, as it is a spouse couple that runs the place. charged me twice took weeks to clear up. very little english, not welcoming to Americans as compared to natives. The one highlight was Anna in restaurant; very helpful, genuine, and kind.
Cons: Service, proprietors rather unfriendly, internet ONLY works in lobby.
7.9 Good
Pros: Overall a very good experience ... very pleasant surroundings and interesting building with very good comfortable room. Food quite ordinary and a bit limited in choice.
Cons: Could perhaps have done with an additional member of staff when quite a lot of dinner guests.

Pros: Superb views over the lake just a pleasant stroll away. Warm welcome, good dinner.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was simply perfect: nice apt, nice place, nice landscape, clean, calm, relaxing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: What a nice little gem. The owners were so welcoming we wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy a nice time chatting with them in front of a dinner. Rain check for next time. It is well placed, not far from Avenches, and Morat which we visited in the morning thanks to our landlady advice. Breakfast was simply perfect and everything was so fresh. The room is big, very welcoming, everything you could need is there. It was spotless cleaned. The entrance to the room is private so no need to ring the bell each time you want to enter your room. You have you own entrance and you own key. Our recommendation would be stay one more night to enjoy a bit of time with the owners that are so nice and welcoming.
Cons: No pets allowed, ours (two big labs) crossed the rainbow bridge not long ago, so we were not worried about this, but this is a perfect place for people with pets , and we know how difficult it is to find perfect places to stay with your pets. Room is big, no steps, lots of tiles and places were you can put cushions for your pets to lie down, beautiful scenery around and definitely many nice walks/runs around the place to be done with dogs. A pity dogs are not allowed.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: the place was quiet and in a nice spot close to city center.(3-4 minutes drive by car) it was clean and had free internet we liked the beds, they were comfortable to sleep in the room was quite big and there was a kitchen with all the equipment inside of the room was quite cold but luckily we went there in summer so it was a good thing the house owner was very warm and positive.she only spoke french but somehow we were able communicate due to her charming attitude i had dinner for 20 chf and she cooked all the food.it was the best part of my stay and i suggest you eat there.i regret not also buying breakfast long story short,i can stay there again if i visit cudrefin again!
Cons: there was a coffee pod machine but it was not complimentary.it was 1 chf per pod.so far whereever else i stayed,it was free. the power plugs are different in switzerland and she didn't have any adapters so i had to go to media markt to buy one for 10 chf the house owner can be more flexible on checkout time.we left there at 11.10 and she almost charged us 25 chf for not leaving on time she asked us take our garbage bags with us when we left.this was a first.so we took 2 bags of garbage in our car. i drank two beverages from the fridge and showed her to pay but she counted the rest of the bottles anyway including the plates etc

Pros: Nice place in the middle of the countryside
9.0 Excellent
Pros: A very comfortable place to stay - lovely friendly and helpful staff and a quiet location - as a British visitor Switzerland is horrendously expensive so this was good value for us. One thing to note is that the restaurant is not always open and we used a taxi to get into town and back - wished we had taken our our transport as the taxi fares were for us Brits - obscene. Overall a lovely place to stay - just wish Switzerland were a little more affordable - I would stay longer!

Pros: In a time where standards are more likely to slip rather than satisfy, the staff at the Beau Rivage Neuchatel stand out. They did not put a foot wrong all weekend, from check-in, which was quick and efficient, to getting my car out of the regular carpark and putting it into their own, at no extra cost. Location was convenient - a short walk to the main restaurant areas and Neuchatel train station etc. The staff at the front desk are very friendly and are ready to help. The breakfast was a standard continental breakfast and was perfectly fine for the price, though I would have preferred some hot food options too. It is the second time that I have stayed at this hotel and both stays have been very comfortable and enjoyable.
Cons: Nothing really.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice place, perfect view to Neuchatel lake. Local food and wine.
Cons: Quite contaminated shower by mold, but not a big deal...
4.0 Okay
Pros: The environment is very nice. The hotel is in the country side, with a nice view on the lake. Though breakfast was not exceptional, the few products that were available were of good quality. Wifi reception in our room was good (we specifically asked for a room with wifi reception...). The room was quiet.
Cons: The hotel is outdated. The rooms are very basic and the price is very high. The furniture in the rooms is worn out and the decoration seems absent. The feeling in the rooms is not welcoming neither cosy. Wifi connection is not guaranteed in the rooms and none of the rooms has TV. Furniture and carpet in the room where not clean. I booked for a double room and we got a room with a bed that was perhaps wide for one person but definitely too narrow for two people. We decided not to stay in that room and asked for another with a bigger bed, resulting in an increased rate. Unfortunately, when I booked the description of the room was not clear enough...

7.5 Good

Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I literally loved this place. The hotel is really cute and located in the old part of the village. I asked if they serve beer late at night or have a mini bar in the room. No we don't, but you can use the fridge in the lobby (behind the counter) and/ or help yourself with the beer. Just leave the money on the counter. Wow!! Since my room was pretty small I spent my evening in the lobby. I had it all for myself. From time to time a guest came back and went to bed. Next time I will ask if I can us the Cheminée too...
Cons: The WiFi did not work in my room. No connection.
7.0 Good
Pros: Location of the hotel, cleanliness and the historical aspect of the building is nice. The presence of the parking is also very appreciated. The staff - when on site - is really dedicated to their mission. Nice people.
Cons: The hotel has no steadily staffed reception, and one problem I find is that the phone number to reach the responsible systematically falls into answering machine. This IMHO is a problem is a kind of disturbing in the image of the whole hotel. Other than that it is a good place and can be recommended.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was very very clean, the bed was very comfortable. Pretty much alike with the photos. It worth the price. The breakfast it was also fine. It was easy to park outside. By bus you take nr 107 from city centre to the hotel. Very easy very close.
Cons: In the bathroom the ceiling above the bathtub was a little bit low so it was difficult to take a shower.

Cons: Car park was limited

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Café mostly
Cons: Shared bathroom :(((
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff very kind, everything was clean. Nice view in a wonderful city
5.0 Okay
Pros: The location is amazing. I also liked the building - very nice! It is very close to everything, castle, beach, and all the main spots in Neuchatel. The price was not that bad, considering the Swiss standards. All good here. But read the other section as well, so you don't have the problems I have had.
Cons: The reception is only open for about 6-7 hours a day, which is normal when the guesthouse is being run by a family or so. If you arrive later than 19:00, you should let the property know, so they send you a code. With this code you will later be able to enter the house. No problem so far. But I thought I would be there at 18:30 or something, which in the meantime proved itself impossible. The person at the reception saw I was not there yet at the time of closure. They were kind enough to leave a key for me, and all the instructions inside.. but how was I supposed to get inside after all? When you see that only ONE guest is about to come later in the evening, why don't you send an SMS or anything with the PIN code? I admit, I wrote I will be there on time, but obviously I wasn't, because of my flight. As Switzerland has different rules as the rest of Europe when it comes to roaming, mobile phone minutes, etc, why wouldn't the person from the reception send an SMS with the PIN code anyway, when they see someone is being late for the check-in? It was quite an adventure, and really an unpleasant one in this case. I've got inside after 22:30 in the end, with the help of my family who had texted the property on my behalf. Another thing: I booked a double room, despite the fact I was travelling alone. I am pretty sure I have received a single room instead, as the bed was definitely too small for 2. I paid the extra money for the double room because I wanted more space and to get a room like in the photos. Well... it was good enough for sleeping, but not what I paid for. If the property would bother reading this... and responding to this, it would be much appreciated. There's one more thing: the next day, I was on time there fore the check-out, and I hoped I could leave my luggage there for a couple of hours. I had a later train and wanted to visit the town without the carry-on. It just happened that there was no one at the time.

Pros: Excellent breakfast! Warm and cozy room, mattress is very comfortable. Highly recommend to walk to the city center it takes just 10 minutes.
7.9 Good
Pros: quiet, nice & comfortable room (suite for 3 people), nice bathroom, all very clean! Breakfast ok, just self-service, no table sets or anything, not so welcoming, had to get everything ourselves.... coffee not the best, but we had a good nights sleep!
Cons: Location a little outside, too far to walk to the old town. Prices for Murten ok, but also not on the cheap side.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: New. Clean rooms. Within a five minute walk to old Town area. Good breakfast.
Cons: Lobby area is dark and basically just the area that leads to the conference rooms. Room lighting was also dark. No desk lamp. Only desk chair for sitting in the room.
7.1 Good
Pros: Located near the lake, breakfast was fresh and good, check-in and -out went smoothly. Late check-out (1 hour longer until 12 p.m.) was possible. Bed very comfortable!
Cons: Really does not meet 4-star expectations, and it most definitely did not make the impression that the rooms were all renovated last year. Room smelled very weird, bathroom was small, in general the hotel feels more like a 3-star than 4-star hotel, and the interior is tasteless (but that is very subjective :-)). Would have expected a little more for the price.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Location perfect for the triathlon I was participating in. Short walking distance to great pizza restaurant. The chef sent someone out especially to buy gluten free bread for me for breakfast, for which I was very grateful.

Cons: all good
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Very welcome and kind reception at check in. Room was ready when we arrived, and we were upgraded to a larger room- which was nice to have.
Cons: While we were fully aware that the hotel rooms were above a bar, we expected to hear voices, not also music. Music played until almost 2( that’s when I fell asleep) Again- can’t complain because that is what was advertised. Hotel is very smart to offer a free beverage ticket- as when you enjoy the wonderful atmosphere, you are less likely to notice the noise!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Clean well designed hip rooms in historic Murten downtown
Cons: No breakfast and Mondays nothing was open so had to go to co op to get brekkie
5.0 Okay
Pros: Very basic hotel that I did not like at all. Run down looking corridors. Old elevator. Room small and very ugly. Walls thin like paper so that you can hear all details from corridor and other rooms. Not even breakfast! Bad materass. Not heated enough. No, no and no again! Not recommendable at all, in my opinion!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location of the hotel was perfect 50 metres to Places Pure, Giovanni helped us a lot with the little 2 kids, he upgraded us to a 2 bedroom and one huge living room apartment. You can find everything in the kitchen including oil and even soy souce. The price was also competitive with the other hotels, We liked a lot and next time we are in Neuchatel we will go again Galerie Marval
Cons: Nothing
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The location was fantastic. Slap bang in the centre of the old town and a short walk to Place Pury where regular buses run to the station. Three supermarkets and any amount of bakeries, gourmet food stores and restaurants within easy reach. The apartment was spacious and well-equipped. After almost 3 weeks of travel it was great to arrive at accommodation with a washing-machine/dryer.
Cons: The doona/duvet was a bit undersized for the queen bed. Whilst the venue was quiet the same could not be said for the patrons at nearby bars and restaurants. Fortunately the cool weather meant we could close the double-glazed windows which pretty much eliminated the noise.

Cons: Nothing

10.0 Excellent
