the view from our room was fantastic looking out over the water was great to wake up to.
maintenace of the bedroom
excellent staff especially Nial in the bar who always had a welcoming smile, good food and a lovely location and only a short distance from the Maiden city Only problem was a whistling window during a very stormey night.
The restaurant food was fanastic and great value for money. The location of the hotel is peaceful and relaxing with great views of Lough Foyle. The staff are helpful, welcoming and very friendly. Unfortunately the boiler broke down during our stay and we had no hot or even warm water for a shower. I was also disappointed in the state of the bedroom furniture, it needs replaced.
everything except bar meal....only stayed one night....will try restaurant next time...however breakfast v. good meal in bar poor quality....however they were v busy with an unexpected party
Views and location
Nice view Loud room as it was besides the aircondition of the restaurant. bad bed, could not move the morning after!
Facilities and Service were good
large room with alot of space my room wasnt ready till after 16.00 which was really poor.
excellent in every way A very enjoyable stay
The room was lovely, the staff were great, food was fabulous and location was amazing. We just loved the place.
Lovely owners, relaxed and welcoming. Food was excellent, both dinner and breakfast. Michael's local knowledge and friendly chats!
great friendly service and fantastic food.....good value for mone...a real place to relax
The room and shower room were immaculate, beautifully furnished and very comfortable. The staff were very friendly and the location outstanding.
Food was excellent. Michael and Catriona are wonderful hosts. All the little extras in the room were greatly appreciated- bottled water, biscuits, selction of teas and free wi fi. Views were stunning Nothing
We liked the location, The friendly receptive manor of the staff and owner's. The room was very clean & well equiped with a number of nice personal touche's you don't see in larger hotel's. All in all a very good value for money enjoyable visit. No.
Excellent throughout None
the staff were more than helpful, the food excellent. Very clean
The friendliness of staff and their welcome and despite some confusion over the payment for a second room I had booked, the matter was quickly resolved Initialy I booked a double bedrooml and then a second bedroom which was a single but rather cramped, The remote didn't work, probably because the batteries had expired
The staff were very courteous. The decor was fantastic. The room was lovely, and the bathroom had lovely towels, a bathrobe and the toileteries smelt beautiful. I can only say the overall experience was lovely. I wished I could have stayed longer. I can't think of any bad points.
A very charming hotel in a beautiful little town with very comfortable bedrooms and friendly staff. In addition Malin Hotel is located close to gorgeous landscapes (Malin Head). For dinner the restaurant was not excellent but the breakfast was very good.
Staff went out of their way to make sure our stay was comfortable. They were the most helpful and friendliest staff I have ever encountered in a hotel. Although the breakfast was very good, we were disappointed in the quality of the restaurant food. It was not as good as the reviews would indicate.
Very pleasant and accommodating staff. Excellent food and nice facilities. Bathroom lovely, with blissful bath and clean linen. Good bar and location. Breakfast delicious. Room small for the price and somewhat dark compared to friends rooms, but no rebate in price. Key was bent and was not easy to get in and out. Bar understaffed at several points.
Cheerful friendly staff. Excellent lift. Stylish decor. Good food. Central location in Malin convenient, but noisy - some traffic calming measures on the road outside would prevent it being used as a racetrack.
Great access to the countryside and surrounding areas of Malin Head/ Inishowen. The room was very comfortable, warm and clean. About as french as McDaid's Football Special!
This is a lovely old hotel with it's own character to match. The 3 course meals are excellant and great value. The man on the Sunday evening who insisted in pulling the curtains in the bar - lounge area to stop the sun shining in and then his wife struggled to read her paper !
