The rooms are very spacious, clean and modern, the staff were very helpful and moved us to another room closer to WiFi in the reception area Wi-fi is not as described, it is not available in the entire hotel - it is only available in the areas close to reception. You do need to let the luke warm water run for an eternity before it gets hot - pity to waste so much water
Receptionist help me solve problems with internet connection by giving me the key to their conference room, where I could connect to the internet. The hotel can accommodate handicaped guests. while it is a good idea, it also means that its aesthetics is peculiar but it can also affect tangible things. For example, shower has no doors, but rather curtains that are not particularly comfortable and that oblige you to shower in a closed dark space that does not isolate water well, nor is comfortable. Wireless did not work: I was told my computer had "a problem" but in fact I have travelled extensively with it for now 4 years and this was the first time it had "a problem." Last: the hotel is not expensive but I stayed in rincon del abad nearby before and it is just as good and much cheaper (half the price): I recommend it....
Attitude of staff. Rooms were very good and clean. We intend to stay again at this hotel.
very much. a beautiful conversion of a convent with stunning design of including details. sound insulation (bathroom) not so good. although there are air shafts in the bathroom they should install extractor fans.
It is a beautiful place in lovely surroundings, very elegant. The menu prices were reasonable, the breakfast was included in the room price and was very nice. The local wines were recommended and very good. The staff were very pleasing, I would stay there again if in that area, it is very pretty. The hotel grounds are not yet finished and so there was no nice area to sit outside and no pool, although it was early in the season and so that will probably change. Not suitable for children as there is nothing to do in the area unless you drive. The rooms we stayed in had very thin walls and so you could hear clear conversations from the next room.
We chose the Hotel Convento San Diego for a country weekend get-together for 5 friends who hadnñt seen each other in years. The hotel was perfect for this with a comfy relaxed atmosphere, fantastic staff and a cosy bar. The location and setting of the hotel were amazing, even more so at the fantastic price that we were offered.
Very friendly, excellent attention from the staff, peaceful, interesting, very good value.
It is a beautifully restored building on par with a parador - the fountain in the 'cafe' area is particularly soothing. The rooms were of a high quality as was the restaurant. Please write at least 15 words I am sure it would be lovely to stay in the winter. In the summer - very hot - ideally requires a pool/ terrace poss spa faciloities as it is rather isolated.
glorious location, lovely weather, comfortable room, we spent our two days walking the way-marked footpaths from the village of Galaroza. The hotel itself was spotless, the location and weather cold,nt have been better, it was such a pity that the warmth was,nt reflected in the attitude of the staff. We were not made to feel welcome, we were barely spoken to, not many smiles evident..
nice (only spanish speaking) people no elevator; everything (food, room, bar) ordinary: not good and not bad.
Nice, rustic setting for a quiet week-end getaway. We had to wait for breakfast service which was the basic coffee, toast and spread. Am not sure if it is better in the summer.
Rooms were comfortables, very clean, had a terrace to a nice view of the village. The hotel is sufficiently outside the village to be quiet, yet it takes 5 minutes on foot to get to the village. It is easy to find and has a good, very cheap restaurant. Overall, it is an amazing bargain for money. I later stayed one night at a nearby hotel (sierra luz in cortegana) which was double the price but was not as nice. It made me appreciate this hotel much more. As often happens in these types of hotels, there is no dedicated person to run the reception; those working at the restaurant do so in turns. They come immediately when you need them, and are very helpful, but they are clearly not trained to guide a visitor to the region: they are there to let you in, solve your problems (if you have problems) but nothing else.
