Pros: Was a lovely stay but we were only offered ham or cheese sandwich for breakfast during the Covid-19 crisis. Dinner was very nice, room service only which was expected. I would've like to have seen room service breakfast as well, instead we search locally for a burger van for breakfast.
Cons: Dinner and room service, great venue
Pros: Very nice Breakfast was up to the mark
Cons: The staff should be a little more friendly

Cons: i have so far received three parking fine letters from Parking Eye. I informed the hotel that I would be coming and going during the night but the carpark system must have logged me out and not recognised me on my return. I am obviously appealing these fines and I will not be returning to this hotel again.
Pros: Bed was comfortable
Cons: Poor choice of breakfast
Pros: Great value for money
Cons: That’s it’s not my own bed!!!
Pros: Location. Cleanliness Friendly
Pros: Nice, quiet room with a comfortable bed and lovely shower. Breakfast was good. Very friendly, supportive staff. Great location for our work.
Cons: Noisy air-conditioning so I had to turn it off to sleep so the room cool by morning. The plug by my bed made my phone make a strange noise! Other plugs across the room so not so easy for my alarm.
Located in Newport, The Manor House At Celtic Manor is within a 5-minute drive of Isca Augusta and Caerleon Amphitheatre. Featured amenities include a business center, dry cleaning/laundry services, and a 24-hour front desk. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
Pros: All meet and greet staff extremely friendly Concierge above and beyond Drivers friendly and hospitable Room clean and tidy
Cons: Second day staff in the restaurant clearly didn’t want to be there , not enough staff to cope with the demand . Food not replenished people having to stand around waiting and asking for toast hash browns mushrooms pancakes orange juice Then a member of staff couldn’t even do toast he could only toast it one side couldn’t work out that it only needed to go in the other side . Food was Luke warm We did hear staff that morning had been laid off and all the other staff were upset but a professional business should have made sure that moral was still there as paying customers were still expecting some kind of service in the restaurant
Pros: Stayed at the main resort for a golfing weekend last year so new it was going to be a nice stay this time around
Cons: For the price (£150)for one night should of had a full breakfast included!!
Pros: It was lovely hotel clean staff helpful
Cons: Sign posting was poor as we got to hotel where to park eg it felt like a maze and I got very frustrated finding where my actual hotel / room was
Pros: Great choice of where to eat within this large hotel/resort complex, with prices charged not outrageous
Cons: Disappointed in the en-suite bathroom facilities - not really up to expected standard. Requires a make-over with upgrade in shower, addition of a bidet, huge waste of water to get hot taps to run even warm. Also some good housekeeping needed in room, cupboard doors not fitting and housing for in-drawer hairdryer broken and could be hazardous - above comments left with hotel reception on departure.
Pros: The Spa and Gym
Cons: It was full of wedding parties even on the Friday Night, who all appeared unable to control their kids.Stayed in the resort part last time, which was alot better.
Pros: Food was excellent.
Cons: Carrying of suitcases up two flights of stairs.(We are OAP's)
Pros: The company
Cons: Since the Ryder Cup they've become over popular and there is a long wait for most things. Waiting for up to 20 minutes to tee off is not acceptable and tee times should reflex this
Pros: staff/food @ bistro & desk & concierge/door staff. received an upgrade so was delighted at that. That may have been due to my early arrival and time spent at the bar downstairs while waiting for room
Pros: Good experience
Cons: No rooms that can accommodate 3 people
Pros: A/C in room. Two bars of soap
Cons: No lift from ground floor. Expensive food.
Pros: Great staff, good communal areas, rooms well equipped
Cons: Some of the bathroom fittings are looking tired / worn out
Pros: Location of hotel to Cardiff. Cleanliness of room/hotel. Bar/dining area had a very good atmosphere
Pros: Well, priced hotel with good facilities

Featured amenities include a business center, dry cleaning/laundry services, and a 24-hour front desk. This hotel has 6 meeting rooms available for events. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Great hotel
Pros: Good choices for non meat eating person at breakfast. I am very fussy about coffee and although filter, which I usually find insipid this was v good. Had kippers one morning...great! Cafetière and ground coffee in bedroom was good choice. Staff were always so helpful cheerful hardworking. Cath who oversaw our family lunch celebration on Sunday 8th was superb, nothing too much trouble kept us informed re what was happening and stayed until all food and toasts done. Wonderful woman! Liked drinking glasses in bedroom...where can I get some? And dragon mugs too
Cons: Live music on Friday...young man was excellent. Nice voice good choice of songs and able to sit near but still talk. On Saturday and Sunday band and solo singer had amplifiers far too loud ....why we have only been to one of your tribute nights...came with friends and amps vibrating from volume..left early. Better lighting over wall mirror by bathroom which would have been helpful for making up if bathroom being used
Pros: Very professional staff
Pros: The room was a good size and the bed very comfortable. Given the current virus epidemic I was please to see that the spa and pool were still open. The food and drink was very good and fairly priced. The staff were all friendly.
Cons: I knew from other reviews that the property was dated and required some re-decoration however I underestimated just how dated the building was. I have stayed in a few similar spa resorts and the Parkway has some distance to go to bring it inline with the standards most would expect. This is however reflected in the price.
Pros: Hotel easy to find, staff at reception were excellent. The Sunday evening carvery was very very confusing-no explanation of what to do?It wasn’t just simply go up for your carvery after paying etc.
Cons: The organisation of the evening carvery needs a big overhaul! No one explained to us that you have to have your order taken then go up for the carvery and then wait for it to be taken to your table blah blah!! Also drinks order took so long our wine arrived after we’d finished the meal! Being a vegetarian I was told there was veggie gravy-in fact it had to come from the kitchen and my carvery was cold by the time it came! Breakfast was far better-staff explained how system worked as we were seated-simple!
Pros: Josh very kindly made me a salad very late at night as I am gluten free and couldn't eat sandwiches.
Pros: The staff were all first class, friendly and efficient.
Cons: The tv was getting on a bit.
Pros: Restricted bar menu but food good. Nice open log fire. Pool and leisure facilities very good.
Pros: really enjoyed stay and the pool area was the highlight. Brilliant pool and sauna area.
Cons: The fact that nearly all the desserts were bought in except trifle and crumble.Very surprised that 4 star hotel should serve these. Steak etc lovely.
Pros: Every member of staff was friendly, helpful and positive, from reception staff to housekeeping. The rooms were well appointed, the food was extremely tasty and plentiful and the leisure centre was excellent - our children particularly enjoyed the indoor pool. The hotel even had a couple of singers in the bar on Saturday evening! We wished we could have stayed for longer!
Pros: Very nice pool and spa area. Restaurant offers value for money. Spacious reception area where you can spend a rainy morning with the kids and play a boardgame. However, focus of the hotel rests with pensioners - not with families.
Cons: The music in the restaurant was a bit outdated. Facilities (lounge, rooms) are a bit dated.
Pros: The rooms are nicely appointed, easy parking, a decent breakfast and use of the pool/sauna/etc facilities
Cons: Price of drinks, not much a facility for smokers, poor booking process and staff that had no authority or access to it.
Pros: Very modern clean well kept very plush nothing too much trouble will come back made to feel like a vip cwmbran here we come very soon wales is great this hotel made it better
Pros: Swimming poole and staff at the leisure dept. Was brilliant.
Cons: When checked in I was asked if I wanted a newspaper. I said Sunday Times but never received it. We hadd breakfast room service and it is the first time that I have been charged £5 for this service. My daugther was given a very poor bed and I complained. The duty manager was useless and I had to almost beg for a replacement. This was sort of ok but very thin mattress. The pillows were also poor. Also, it was very noisy during the night a couple of times with poeple chatting and laughing outside our room.
Pros: Clean and tidy
Cons: Food service stopped at 10pm, and only sandwiches until 10.30pm!
Pros: Bar staff were very friendly and helpful, as were the housekeeping staff in the morning. Check-in was very efficient.

Pros: The room and the food
Cons: Having to walk in the rain to the gym and for dinner due to are room not being in the main part of the hotel
Pros: As always the location was amazing and the staff where friendly.
Cons: I understand that it wasnt anyones fault but the fact that all the facilities where closed including the restaurant and bar and there was no compensation for this or any money back for the inconvenience.
Pros: The spa was my favourite part, was really relaxing, wasn’t too open and was really peaceful.
Pros: despite the hard times everyone is facing at the moment, they still served you with a smile. They put customers first. Thank you all, we would definitely stay again
Pros: Very clean, comfortable and staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The spa was so peaceful and relaxing. The food at the bar and for breakfast was outstanding. Can’t wait for our next visit and think we will try some room service. Only negative I could possibly say is that we couldn’t get WiFi in the room, but completely enjoyed our stay. Very happy, relaxed and ate very well.
Cons: Only WiFi in the room was poor

Pros: Fabulous hotel, great setting. Helpful and happy staff. We already had dinner plans, which was a shame as the restaurant looked great and the food, from what we saw passing through looked and smelt wonderful. The breakfast in the morning was very tasty. You can choose from the hot menu and there were also a varied choice of cereals/granola, fruit and pastries. I can’t fault the room. I think the most spacious we’ve ever stayed in. Spotlessly clean a good sized wardrobe. A modern en-suite bathroom but also a roll too bath in the room. A real treat. I would highly recommend a stay at The Priory, you won’t be disappointed.
Pros: Very clean and comfortable rooms, excellent food.
Pros: The breakfast pastries were lovely and warm, staff were pleasant and helpful. The room was very comfortable and cosy, the shower was very effective, the internal window shutters kept the droughts at bay when we had a very strong wind. The bed was very comfy. We had a nice view over the garden which was well stocked for seasonal interest, even with Tree Ferns.i
Cons: There were no tissues in the room, and a teapot was missing though the bar did supply one. The there was no porridge or full English breakfast available, though you did have a good range of choices. Some biscuits and drinking chocolate would have been appreciated on drinks tray.
Pros: The hotel was beautiful m, good amazing, bed comfortable. Will stay again
Cons: It was very warm in the room so needed to use the fan
Pros: The building and location are gorgeous. A beautiful spot to stay and enjoy exploring Caerleon.
Cons: The renovations but they are inevitable!
Pros: We know the Priory very well, as customers who used to live in the area. It has still got its special character and the staff were very efficient. Very good to see young local employees doing a good job. Comfortable bedroom in the annex even though a bit cramped for two people. Bathroom with a bath as well as shower much appreciated. Bar and restaurant very well tended by courteous and knowledgable people. We had a spot of bother before leaving which Philipe helped us with. Thank you Philipe (from Gregg and Annie).

In the morning we needed to get to a competition by 8 so needed to leave at 7:45 again no one was on reception to allow us to check out. Also breakfast wasn’t served till 8 and we had paid for breakfast but obviously couldn’t have breakfast as we needed to leave.

Pros: Clean and comfortable
Cons: Door lock was broken so didn’t feel safe with my family Window didn’t have latch so was slightly open all night with strong wind blowing through
Pros: Very comfy and spacious room. Great cooked breakfast and a very cheap hotel stay! However, do not expect a luxury hotel with all the facilities, as it does not have any, except lots of free parking, decent facilities in the room and very convenient for catching a train from the station, which is literally situated across the road.
Cons: A total lack of any on-site facilities, eg a bar and restaurant.

Pros: Location near the railway station. Handy for kebab shop.
Cons: The taste of the tap water was not nice . The window in our room did not close properly.
Pros: Beds were comfy
Cons: Kept awake all night by noise from what sounded like a vent. No staff to speak to so couldn't move rooms. Trains also kept us awake until about 11pm. Do not stay in room 1 due to noise. Had there been someone to talk to about this in the morning we would have requested a refund.
Pros: Bed was comfy although squeaked a lot when my daughter moved around.
Cons: The fact we didn’t see anyone. It felt very strange and not welcoming. I understand it is a budget hotel but it would have been nice to at least to see a member of staff.. I wouldn’t stay in an express hotel again for this reason. It made me feel quite uneasy.

Pros: The Manor House and it’s setting was beautiful.
Cons: The room was small. The bathroom sink had a crack and the shower was run off the bath taps which made it very difficult to regulate the temperature. The room was very cold on arrival and there was only a small wall heater which took ages to warm the room. The food was not nice, everything was deep fat fried and very greasy
Pros: Staff very friendly and helpful
Cons: The door on the allocated room didn't close, so the alternative room I was given in the annexe was in desperate need of a refurb and a new mattress.
Pros: Excellent value for money. Spacious rooms.
Cons: Room was over the function room which had a disco on. However staff warned us that it was on and it finished when they said it would.
