Pros: Absolutely 10/10 We had an awesome honeymoon at Ambience on Huon! We are so overwhelmed with the view of the B&B. They grow a lot of beautiful flowers so it compliments the great scenery they have there. Peter & Cyndie had been an amazing host! Cyndie is a good cook. So please be sure that you book a dinner with them too since it’s very good. Definitely coming back to Ambience one day! Thanks Cyndie and Peter. God bless.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Hosts were wonderfully warm and friendly. Accommodation was excellent and the surrounding property was great to walk around and relax in. Dinner and breakfast were especially good. All round a really relaxing and wonderful part of the world. 30ish mins from Bruny Island ferry (go early) with highlights their being Adventure Bay hiking, Bruny Island Cruises from there and lunch at Bruny Island Winery (yum).
7.5 Good
Pros: The bed was very comfortable and the room was very tastefully decorated. The view was spectacular especially watching the sun setting over the mountains. The grounds and gardens were immaculate. Breakfast was very good. I only had the cereal because my pregnancy is making me too nauseous to eat big breakfasts but my husband had the cooked breakfast every day and loved it. The cook/host was very friendly as well.
Cons: It started with an uncomfortable and somewhat abrasive phone call from the host telling me to pay my balance more than a month before my stay. I had just been in hospital and I wasn't really in the mood for the demanding attitude I received for something I considered a very low priority and nearly cancelled the trip then and there. The second issue I had was the location, while beautiful, the remoteness and dangerous nature of the drive there meant that there was no way I was going to be able to stay there without a car which doubled the cost of my holiday. (I accept that this is not the owner's fault but my own for not doing my homework, but definitely something that future guests need to be aware of). While many reviews comment of how friendly the hosts were, I often felt like a scolded child, we were told off for how/where we had parked, not knowing that other guests would need to share a quite small parking area that had no visible lane marking. I felt uncomfortable with having to refuse a hot breakfast as if I was grossly offending the cook despite the fact that I never eat breakfast (again I felt like a scolded child for not wanting to eat breakfast) and was even pressured to drink the "Tasmanian breakfast" tea served despite it not being to my liking. Finally my biggest disappointment was the dinner. As advertised it comes at an additional charge and I was stupid enough to not ask how much it would cost before I agreed to it. We did have a lovely meal, but we were charged $50 each. I didn't find this out until check out and was not at all impressed. There was no menu choice such as in a restaurant and while the meal was nice, it wasn't worth the hefty price tag. I really feel the owners need to be upfront about the cost of dinner and future guests need to be aware that they can get the same or better quality meal in one of the nearby towns.

Pros: Ben was a fantastic, warm and welcoming host. Made us feel instantly at ease and with his pet dog Sassy who was an absolute delight. Ben took us on a tour of his beautiful property and feed us some of the some of his home grown fruit along the way, a real treat. Would happily recommend Tranquil Point to couples/ solo travellers or groups, the location is stunning!!!!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Gorgeous location & friendly people
Cons: There were absolutely no heating options for our room or bathroom ie no heater, no electric blanket & no heat lights (I suspect for eco friendly reasons?) we were offered two hot water bottles to warm our bed at night. Waking up to a minus 1 degree bedroom was not enjoyable on holiday.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The surroundings were beautiful & indeed tranquil ....the girls I spoke to were very helpful!
Cons: Our elusive host 'Ben' was out the three times I tried to pay for my accomodation. Our bed was on the floor - nowhere in the room to hang/ store anything. Noise was unfortunate for sleeping - you can hear everything from footsteps to downstair noise.
