Pros: Authentic family hotel and restaurant with Alsace charm.
Pros: It was a small hotel with a charm and friendly stuff. The food was great and the rooms well equipped and clean. It was a nice point to start the bike trips or walks.
Cons: Could have been less expensive, especially the restaurant part. But the food was very good and portions enormous.

Cons: Room size and facilities could be improved, especially for those planning an extended stay.
Pros: The owner was very nice and friendly. He made us feel comfortable. The food was amazing.

Located in Marmoutier, Hotel aux deux clefs is in the historical district, within a 15-minute drive of Birkenwald Castle and Northern Vosges Regional Nature Park. Limited parking is available onsite.
Pros: Room was ok for the price. The atmosphere in the restaurant is very French which we enjoyed.
Cons: There was no pricing at dinner, but the steak was 28e, quite pricey for what it was.
Pros: The staff was charming
Cons: Arrived at 2pm but no one there until 6pm. Didn't like the dinner. It was reconstituted veal, not the real thing.
Pros: The location is good. The bed was comfortable.
Cons: No parking facility. We had to park on the street. The breakfast was horrible. No Buffet only a limited quantity was served.
Pros: Very charming hotell at the countryside! Very nice hosts!
Pros: Comfortable room, great shower! Succulent dinner after long day’s drive from Venice served with a smile. Very well located for an overnight pit stop and very near a Leclerc for cheaper fuel. Outstanding V for M! I’ll be back
Cons: Pillows and bedding were a little basic, but much better than the old bolster and blankets
Cons: Fully outdated
Pros: That was a bit of a pearl. A great find and I will most certainly be back. The place has a nice atmosphere and the landlady was extremely helpful and made me feel very welcome. The food was great and contributed to making it a very pleasant stay.
Cons: There was nothing not to like
Pros: Staff at the hotel were really helpful, booking a table for us in an adjacent village as all restaurants in Marmoutier shut on Monday evening! Convenient for sightseeing in Strasbourg
Cons: Room decor was a little tired and the bathroom smelt musty as I'm not sure the extractor fan was working.
Pros: Fabulous location. Old world charm with its own restaurant. Really good welcome and good breakfast.
Cons: Facilities in the room had not been updated and had a 70s feel.
Pros: Great overnight stay with a fantastic dinner. Very friendly. Excellent experience.

Pros: Staff helpful, especially the kitchen that is able to adapt meal according to allergies and not just remove ingredients from the plate.
Pros: Lovely hotel in a beautiful location which suited us as a bit of a hideaway from our travel schedule. Great restaurant for dinner at very good prices and the breakfast the next morning was simple but fresh.
Cons: There was nobody there who spoke our langauge so we could not find out much about what we could do in the local area and I think we missed out as a result. Not a fault of anyone though.
Hôtel Des Vosges is located in a quiet village in Lutzelbourg in a peaceful setting next to the river. It offers a warm atmosphere and friendly service. Rooms are comfortable and decorated in a classical style. They come fully equipped with TV featuring TNT and 160 international channels, and private en suite facilities. The restaurant offers quality Alsatian and Lorraine cuisine in a traditional dining room. The ideal location of the Hotel Des Vosges will allow you to discover the charming city of Lutzelbourg, the castle ruins and the river.
Pros: Great staff. Perfect location for Locaboat clients. The village of Lutzelbourg is a warm, charming place to visit. Will definitely go back.
Pros: Excellent location with a lovely terrace over the water for drinks and dinner. Good value for money. Pretty village. We were holidaying by bicycle and my chain broke 4km away so walked in. The manager (owner?) made several phone calls and arranged for a family member to take me and the bike to the nearest repair shop which was 25km away. Wonderful and kind thoughtfulness to a traveller in distress! Good English spoken here.
Pros: After reading negative reviews on trip advisor we were surprised and impressed to find the meals were really good. Nothing fancy but good tasty wholesome food. Staff were informative and the friendly Chef/ owner even took our cases and groceries in his car to The Locaboat office where we picked our boat up.
Pros: Good room, clean and comfortable. Hotel has a restaurant, which was handy because there isn’t much else around and since we were on bicycles, travelling to a different town for dinner wasn’t an option.
Cons: Breakfast not served until 8 a.m. which didn’t work for us since we needed an early start. Had to go the bakery/cafe up the road instead (which opened at 5.30 a.m.)
Pros: the traditional ambiance.
Cons: the limited time for eating in the restaurant - 6.30-7.30. We had to re-arrange our plans for the afternoon in order to ensure arriving in time. The hotel details on the Booking.com website should make this clear. there was also some confusion about payment for the room. the Booking.com registration suggested that my credit card would be charged 3 days before but I was charged for the room on the day. I am planning to follow this up once my credit card statements are available.
Pros: A small hotel which was warm and comfortable. Situated in a lovely position by the bridge over the canal. The staff were helpful and spoke some English.
Cons: Unfortunately the restaurant is closed on a Sunday evening, when we stayed, but a good menu was available at the nearby campsite restaurant. Breakfast was rather limited. The hotel would benefit from an update.
Pros: One of the owners was quite pleasent,
Cons: The chef was very rude and the waitress did not smile at all
Cons: Restuant very dated and uninspiring Food poor
Pros: Excellent dinner, but closed Sunday. Breakfast simple but supplied cheese on request. Owner friendly and spoke excellent English as did the staff. Interesting location with canal and the inclined plane canal boat lift.
Cons: Parking a little limited but was not a problem to us. There was a hand douche spray but no proper shower.
Pros: Very helpful staff, who made a real effort to speak english to us. Very good food is a lovely dining room.
Cons: closed for dinner sundays, however this seemed to be the norm in the area
Pros: Comfortable room though bathroom /toilet cramped - evening meal food good seemed to be made in hotel not mass produced
Cons: breakfast poor no choice (old fashioned French style continental) not worth money
Pros: This is a very old hotel along the French canal system and is also reasonably close to the main highway. Our stay here was a highlight of our travels as the charm of the hotel was at least matched by the gracefulness of our hosts. We ate dinner here and suggest that anyone else staying here do so as the food, preparation and service are superb, and not in a snobbish way as in high-end establishments!
Pros: Friendly welcome, charming owner, delicious meal beautifully served. We felt very comfortable and would return again. Hotel is right by the canal and we had a lovely walk.
Pros: Lovely position, gorgeous outlook beside the river, faded but charming large bedroom and bathroom, simple breakfast in nice and quirky dining room.
Cons: Do not arrive between 3 and 5.30pm and especially not on a wednesday when restaurant and hotel are closed! A phone call got us in ,but no food,no drinks, nor use of terrace etc...
Cons: The web site quotes as below The "deck" leaning above the river Zorn with view on the boats going in and out of the locks on the canal will refresh your peacefull moments during the hot summer days." In fact you cannot see the canal or boats from the dining deck! The waiting staff had difficulty in completing our dinner order. I was asked to pay for dinner and room the night before - which I did. The waitress gave details of the bill to a colleague who prepared a credit card slip which I signed. I was not given a copy of the itemised bill. When I asked for one I found that breakfast (which we did not intend to take) had been included. This I consider to be sharp practice.
Pros: People very friendly, helpful & efficient. Restaurant 1st class - wonderful food. Hotel style & decor charming - very French countryside feel.
Cons: Mattress on bed too soft - backache next day. Shame as apart from this stopover was excellent.
Pros: A hotel of grerat character in a lovely area
Cons: The rooms look llike they could do with a bit of modernisation
