Cons: Nothing
9.6 Excellent
Pros: spacious room and bathroom in an old house in the medieval village of Daglan. The owner lives downstairs, and is very helpful. Lovely and ample French breakfast - far more than we could eat - served in the adjoining living/dining room. Easy parking nearby.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful and relaxed, we had a great time in the "Ramade room". The room and the common area were in good taste and decorated with charming antiques. We stayed in late July and even though the temperatures were over 30°C and there was no air conditioning, our room stayed relatively cool. The nights were very cool and mosquito free and thanks to the very firm mattress I slept like a baby. Jean Marie was an excellent host and we would happily return again! PS: The tub is lush ;)
Cons: I couldn't get wifi in our room, but I could get it at one end of the breakfast table which was enough for me.

Pros: the accommodation was excellent and the breakfast first class. The owners were very helpful and accommodating and helped greatly in printing out a map of the local area and identifying a lovely walk in the countryside
Cons: could have done with another waste bin in bathroom
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly welcome, and neighbour! Beautiful house and garden. Large room with terrace. Unusually for France the room was very well lit. Good internet. Parking.
Cons: The space between the bedroom and the bathroom had an automatic light, meaning a visit during the night, woke the other person. Difficult to resolve given the steps, but perhaps a lower lux lamp would help?
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The room we stayed in was spacious with views over the valley. First rate facilities and spacious. Comfortable bed and great ambience
Cons: The weather
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Best B and B we have ever stayed in. Fabulous room, lovely garden and breakfast to die for
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The house was beautifully renovated and homely. The rooms were large and well furnished. The breakfast was cooked by Helene and was delicious. Both Helene and Francois went out of their way to assist us and to make our stay great! The garden and the view from the garden were beautiful - unfortunately the weather meant we could not use the garden. There is also have parking. The town of Domme is very pretty and has several excellent restaurants. We would highly recommend a visit.
Cons: The weather could have been better!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: We were welcomed warmly and merrily by the host. Eric was very helpful and easy to get on with. The rooms were very clean, bright and comfortable. Breakfast was typically French, plentiful, fresh and simple. It was a lovely place to stay.
Cons: Nothing!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Two friendly dogs, two large geese that thought they were the security detail and one rescued wild Boar. What a great welcome we received each day we returned from our sightseeing journey. Eric, our host, took great pride in providing us with a memorable stay. Eric, no English and us, no French, somehow made it all work. Our room was very comfortable, with a small sofa and chair. It was large enough so that we could comfortably relax between sightseeing sojourns. Breakfast, each morning, was a typical French affair, good and a perfect start for the day. We had purchased some cheese and other items that required refrigeration and we were able to store those in his kitchen. Overall, a comfortable and relaxing stay. If WiFi is important to you it was a little weak in the room, however, in the common area it was fine.
Cons: This nothing against the property. We had a Peugeot 308 and I must say the GPS was erratic . We stayed here for 5 days and it could never find it.
10.0 Excellent
Cons: The owner is super!! Very friendly, helpful, hospitality, smiling all the time.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely accomodation in a rural setting but only 10-20mins from main attractions: Sarlat, Domme, La Roque-Gageac, Marqueyassac Gardens, Castleaud and numerous other chateaus. So a great base from which to explore.  Very clean, modern and bright. Beautifully presented.  Air con for hot summer nights and plenty of outdoor areas to relax.  Shower was terrific and bed very comfortable.  Sound proofed walls so very quiet.  Parking not a problem.  Breakfast was amazing and lots of it: bread, croissants, baguettes and a selection of preserves.  Eric (the host) is a lovable and friendly chap who is keen to help his visitors.  Despite our embarassing lack of French language (!) we managed to communicate with lots of hand gestures and nodding and were very appreciative of his patience with us!  We would stay here again and highly recommend La Maravela.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The owner was superb. Helpful, friendly chatty . Great security with 2 dogs, 2 geese . There was even a pet wild boar to entertain us. Highly recommended.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly host. Very modern, well designed accommodation. Great breakfast. Unusual animals greeted us.

Overview Reviews
With a stay at Le Jaonnet in Nabirat, you'll be within a 15-minute drive of Grottes de Cougnac and Maison du Piage. Free self parking is available onsite.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We really enjoyed our stay at Le Jaonnet while exploring the Beynac/Sarlat region. We had two rooms for our family and they were both comfortable with air conditioning, spacious and clean. Each morning we had a breakfast of bread, yogurt and jams. and we also took dinner one evening where we were introduced to a wonderful walnut aperitif. Olivier was a great host, he had no problems communicating with us.
Cons: The hotel was a little far from the tourist sites of the area.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Jaonnet. The whole ethos of the place was excellent. We were looked after by Olivier in a manner that you could not ask for more even doing our laundry and giving advice about where to visit and general information about the area. The evening meals were excellent with wine and coffee at a reasonable price. All in all a very good place to visit at reasonable rates.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: What a beautiful and unique bed and breakfast. The room was comfortable and clean! Olivier was so welcoming and does a great job running the place. We woke up a little late and thought we missed breakfast, however Olivier still made us a nice breakfast and let us stay past our check out time even though he was busy. It was wonderful meeting you Olivier and thank you for making us feel welcome! Regards, Abi and Dayo

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything. Romantic place with pleasant owner. The house is absolutely stunning. Clean. You can buy drinks on the spote.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was very good, with Olivier's home made jams and yoghurt. We only regret that we didn't understand that he could also prepare dinner, and therefore went to the local restaurant. We should definitely have stayed at Le Jaonnet instead. The room was nice, modern and had an air conditioner, which kept us cool. Highly recommended.

Pros: L'Esplanade is a very charming and comfortable hotel. The cuisine is excellent - be sure to dine. All of the staff are very friendly and helpful.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Superb location in one of the most recommended villages of France. Amazing view of the valley 100 meters below. Tiny bathroom with excellent shower. The evening meals served in the restaurant were the best we have experienced in weeks of traveling in France.
Cons: The breakfast was disappointing in comparison with the evening meal.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The view was out of this world - so be sure to book panoramic view as only a few rooms have it. Fine dining and good wine list
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The position- outstanding; restaurant and terrace, internal and external - excellent.
Cons: Some staff we felt were a little abrupt at times
5.8 Okay
Pros: Location/view
Cons: Room bathrooms very tired! Needs refit.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The location is unbeatable. Center of Domme, views. It could not be better. This is the main value of the hotel. That's why people keep coming here.
Cons: Facilities are not updated for a while. Food in the restaurant is excellent. However restaurant is understaffed. You have to wait and you are under pressure to order faster.

Pros: This is a beautiful property with a great view. The swimming pool was really a plus. The best part were the hosts. Really super nice people who wanted to help. We liked them and the property so much we extended our stay with them. I highly recommend this property. Dave and Linda
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic hosts. Gorgeous swimming pool and surround. Great view of the Dordogne Valley yet within walking distance of town. Highly recommend.
Cons: Nothing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautifully situated, lovely view, small but heated and very comfortable pool. Comfortable beds and all amenities of high quality. Great helpful and hospitable hosts; nice places around to visit, the beautiful village of Roque-Gageac at walking distance - which has the fantastic restaurant La Belle Etoile
Cons: You could say that our room was of modest size - but enough for two adults and we did not spend much time there anyway
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved everything about it. Beautiful room. Beautiful view. Lovely staff.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The room though not huge was tastefully furnished with a beautiful on suite bathroom. The grounds were beautifully laid out with a good selection of shrubs. The swimming pool, together with the chairs and parasols made relaxation so easy. Especially with only 3 rooms you have a very good chance of having the area to yourself. Our hosts Frederick and Laurence could not do enough for you. They are kind and considerate and made us very welcome. They helped us with booking restaurants and attractions.
Cons: But there are a few things I feel I must mention to give my review credibility. I have lung cancer and although I can walk up a flight of stairs, I had problem walking up the very steep slope (roughly 7.2 incline) to the property. I drove up it once but the rancid smell of the clutch burning out stopped me from doing it again. In fairness Frederick offered to run me up or down whenever we needed but we felt uncomfortable about asking him all the time. In all honesty this place is not suitable for those who are disabled or have trouble walking. Staying for 14 days we found the breakfast to be repetitive and boring
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Owners amazing and very accommodating. Went above and beyond
Cons: Very difficult to drive up to property. Requires backing up a hill to get proper angle to make the turn
9.6 Excellent
Pros: A challenge to get to at first it was worth it for the outstanding location!
Cons: Feather Pillows
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful view, 10mins walk from the town, very serene
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful accommodation, spotlessly clean, welcoming hosts. Lovely pool area too.
Cons: The access can be tricky. We had a larger hire car and chose not to drive all the way up to the property. In fine weather and if you’re fit you can walk up and thats ok otherwise it could be a major problem.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Feels like a B&B with warmth of hosts. Location up the hill from the Main Street of town providing lovely views. Great breakfast.
Cons: We stayed in the first floor room which has been very nicely decorated and organised. The room is small with low ceiling which may impact taller guests.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved our stay at Maison d’Hotes Anne Fouquet! Everything: the luxurious room, the grounds, the location, the breakfast was wonderful, but the best part was Anne. She went above and beyond to assure that we were happy, comfortable, had dinner reservations, day trip ideas and lovely conversation while she served delicious breakfasts. La Roque-Gageac is one of the most beautiful areas we’ve travelled through. So close to chateaus, great restaurants and charming towns. I highly recommend this lovely B&B!
Cons: It was all fabulous!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Anne was an amazing hostess. Great cook. Very helpful & excellent English
Cons: Coukd not improve anything
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Anne was an exceptional host. And rooms very newly decorated and luxurious
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We can’t say enough about our stay! Anne was beyond gracious, providing advice about things to see, and even providing us with sweet, ripe tomatoes fresh from her garden when we decided to have a simple dinner from the local market on the balcony off the common area. The rooms were elegant and comfortable with great amenities and Anne gets a 10+ for hospitality! Best place we’ve stayed in many years of travel!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Anne Fouquet, the owner, is incredible. She is the ultimate hostess. We felt like we were friends staying at her home instead of guests at her bed and breakfast. She was warm, friendly and we were the beneficiaries of her vast knowledge of the area, from the best restaurants (where she made reservations for us) to the best areas to visit. The lesson here is: "Listen to Anne". Breakfast was beautifully presented with a great assortment of fresh pastries, fresh orange juice, fresh mixed fruit cup, yogurt, breads, and eggs if you wish. Our room was an attractive and extremely functional and comfortable space with a beautiful view of the countryside. In all, our entire stay of six nights exceeded our expectations in every way and a large part of that is because Anne cares about her guests and she works very hard to make sure you are happy and your visit is perfect and memorable.
Cons: Nothing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This accomodation is situated in a very beautiful location and top notch in every way. Owner Ann Fouquet is lovely and was very accomodating to all our needs. I recommend highly to everyone. This is the best place we stayed in this trip in France for 2 weeks . She also serves a beautiful breakfast.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Without any hesitation, we give the highest score. This was a stay to cherish. Everything was fantastic: the room with the view over the valley, the breakfast with fresh products, the relentless effort of Anne to make us feel at home, the personal but respectful contact, the warm hospitality... Anne puts the bar very high, and moreover is fully capable of realizing it!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The host at the property, Anne Fouquet, is remarkable. She is a gem - ideas for sightseeing, dinner reservations, information about life in the area. She makes the experience really special.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast (petite dejeuner) was extensive and fantastic. Anne Fouquet was a wonderful host.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was so beautiful and comfortable. The swimming pool was refreshing.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: We rented a gite at this site. There were some excellent features - especially the swimming pool and the ability to eat outside beside the barbecue. The owner was friendly and helpful.
Cons: There were two main problems. First, because the rooms of the gite are on several different levels there were many stairs connecting them. This made life difficult for my wife, who is blind. Had this been made clear in the description of the gite we would not have booked it. The second problem was just that the cooker in the kitchen did not work well - we could only cook on one ring.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great country location in a beautiful area
Cons: Nothing!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Pool and surrounding areas were beautiful. Plus an amazing breakfast!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The property is excellent as it is the welcoming and service. Evening meals are of Michelin Standard cooked by charming people. Location is in the middle of all which is true Dordogne.
Cons: Nothing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful spacious room, loved the dinner and the whole ambience of the experience !it
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful setting and impressive garden and pool. The dinner was very pleasant (and sociable with other guests from various countries) as was breakfast. Our host was charming and helpful.
Cons: The gite we occupied is a little tired in its fixtures and fittings (especially the bed).
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful, quiet farm house setting. The room was very large and beautifully decorated with 3 large windows and pastoral views. The breakfasts and dinners were superb. The dining areas inside and out were charming. Pool and gardens provide privacy.
Cons: The matresses were too firm and need to be updated. Not a big issue but i would have rated my stay a ten otherwise.

Pros: The house is very representative for this fabulous countryside full of long history and deep culture. The hosts are very helpful and full of passion for real food. Great breakfast. Ask for home made local dinner :). Super location for plenty of surrounding historical, natural and culinary attractions. Great spot for running as well.
Cons: It was just perfect
8.3 Excellent
Pros: We had the rooms upstairs and they were a nice size, the rooms were clean, the decor appealing, the bathrooms were a decent size and the shower in one of the rooms had good pressure. The breakfasts on the terrace were different every day and the home cooked brioche, crepes, cake were very tasty. Jean-Marie was a good host and provided lots of conversation and tips on things to do. There are some nice quiet roads as well to go for a run and the scenery is lovely around the property. The pool was also nice and large and refreshing.
Cons: When we were there it was quite hot (though not as hot as the week before) and the rooms inside the house that we had (upstairs) were hot and stuffy and there was no breeze to cool them down. It made sleeping quite difficult and we found ourselves having an extra bath in the middle of the night to cool down. This is not a criticism as the host can not control the weather, but just something to be aware of if you stay. A fan would be a very welcome addition if the temperature is above 30.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Guests are really friendly!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Quiet, charming and with beautiful views. The hosts couldn’t have done more to make our stay any better.
Cons: Absolutely nothing.

Cons: Nothing as everything was perfect

9.0 Excellent
Pros: The place is quiet and remote. The hosts are wonderful. The suite we had was large and comfortable. The bed was on the firm side but we slept well. The hosts make fresh rolls for breakfast which are very good and they serve top quality loose leaf tea.
Cons: Two small windows in our bedroom didn't have blinds or shutters. Given the wintertime it wasn't an issue but in the summer the light could awaken a light sleeper. Also whilst there was a common fridge for guests, some basic cutlery and a bottle opener would have been a welcome addition. Eggs for breakfast is not really their specialty so would give that a miss.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything..the location, the hosts, breakfast ..Very unique place , charming room.. Tastefull decoration all around..
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Lovely room and huge bathroom. Beautiful location and helpful staff. Great breakfast!
Cons: Some of our belongings got moved between the bedroom and bathroom - found it a little strange. Too many rules made us a little on edge and like we couldn't fully relax at the property.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We felt extremely taken care of and welcomed.
Cons: There was nothing to dislike.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Excellent breakfast, lovely room and very friendly hosts
Cons: Charge to have a change of towels which I never experienced before
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Suite and grounds were lovely. Hosts were friendly and very helpful and knowledgeable about the area.
Cons: Parking was a bit difficult in the area provided. The suite had mood lighting but may benefit from more practical lighting in certain areas.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfasts were brilliant - all home-made food. We had an evening meal - a set menu which we booked in advance. It was excellent. Also used the jacuzzi - it was positioned high up the garden area alongside the pool - excellent views of the countryside. Difficult place to describe. I think there were 4 rooms, but they were very private, housed in a separate building to the main residence, with a lounge area which contained the fridge, tea coffee facilities. The terrace areas were sensitively positioned in the outdoor area allowing a degree of privacy and providing shade where needed. English spoken if needed.
Cons: Nothing really. I had visions of a conventional Bar from the description, but it wasn't like that - it was just a shelved area within a dining room.

Pros: We had a lovely time here for our friends wedding! The guys that own the place are wonderful human being who will make you feel very welcome, often appearing with little snacks for us to enjoy around the pool. They go above and beyond to make sure you have everything you need! Highly recommend!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Gerrit Jan Et Tjitze are the most amazing hosts one can wish for! We spent 3 days at Villa Leoville and enjoyed every bit - there so many small details that you will find here that you won't find elsewhere. From the refreshing home made ice tea and sweets served at the pool, to the delicious home-made meal and special breakfast with home-made jam to the zen garden with a personal touch. The vibe at the house is as relaxing as it can possibly be and it's an amazing place to disconnect from everything in the middle of nature. There are also many amazing restaurants, villages, and activities to do close by. This place is perfect in every sense and the key ingredient to that are the two hosts who welcome you so warmly and take care of everything around the place in person. Thank you again and see you soon!
