Comfort of the whole premises, value for money
The staff were very friendly and helpfull. The views were lovely and the spa facilities were excellent.
Excellent location within the heart of the Pfalzwald countryside. The hotel itself was first class - beautiful rooms and spa facilities, including a lovely indoor swimming pool. The service from staff was courteous and friendly and the food was of the highest standard and beautifully presented in a lovely dining room and terrace.
The level of comfort and quality of lodging and catering was very high.
every thing its a great place to stop
The hotel was very nice and the breakfast was excellent. The restaurant was reasonable too.
The room was nice and had a terrace that looked out to the forest. In the rooms, you need to put an electrical outlet beside the work desk. I had no place to plug in my laptop there so I had to sit at the small table which was not comfortable.
hotel staff, restaurant staff bathroom size and equipment, too small, you never expect such a bathroom in a four stars hotel.
Pool, sauna, steam room, breakfast and location close to old town all excellent. Landau's excellent brew-pub with good value local food and a smoking room is less than 10 minutes on foot. Internet access very expensive via commercial HotSpot at €8/hr. in contradiction to Hotel Overview's: "The Parkhotel Landau welcomes you to enjoy its elegantly furnished, peaceful rooms with free wireless internet access". Parking also only free from 19:00 to 09:00. Restaurant very expensive for dinner compared to local alternatives.
friendly staff, nice location, spacious & clean bathroom, pretty good breakfast with a wide variety of tea no A/C but only a small electrical fan in the room; bathroom could be brighter; shower doors could not be closed tightly enough
The staff were very helpful, the room was comfortable and clean, breakfast was very good, free overnight parking, nice city.
At check-in was advised that restaurant would be open from 7-10pm, found this was shut, had to find evening meal elsewhere, not good for a Hotel! With a 3 star rating. Found the Die Kliene Blume in Erfweiler, on my journey to Austria, with no stars more friendley and better service!!
The welcome from arrival onwards, the very good service in the restaurant and the range of facilities including a swimming pool. We very much enjoyed our stay and plan to visit again next year.
the dinner and breakfast where very good, the staff where very friendly, overall an exerlent pace to stay
Good hotel, very friendly staff. Rooms are spacious and comfortable and our stay was very pleasant. Pool was clean (if a little cool) and sauna very nice at the end of the day. All our enquires before the booking were answered quickly and information spot on. Would use again.
The staff, food and accommodation no
The staff were very friendly and kind, the restaurant and food were very good, the location is beautiful and the rooms were extremely comfortable
Quiet rural location Because so few were staying the restaurant was closed.
Very quiet and the room was very large On the night we were there only a limited buffet of local dishes was available
very good breakfast Very difficult to reach due to horrendous roadworks, and road closures (apparently these have been going on for a year and a half, but we had no warning of them)
The room was quite big and reflected the location. The breakfast was lovely The bar only opened on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Not a lot of good when staying on a Monday. Also the restaurant only had a limited menu for dinner "because the hotel isn't full".
Staff were very helpful and coped with our requests. Outside lighting not adequate when climbing the stairs to the main reception
Breakfast choice not as quite as I like
The room had all the children's bed's set up and no additional charge was made for the children. The room was large and comfortable. The hotel sits on a hill and so car parking is below requiring luggage to be carted up the hill. However, I am sure the hotel would have assited if requested. The hotel bathroom was poorly ventilated with no window.
i personally did not stay there myself. booked it for my mum who is a 78 year old german lady and her partner. they were in Bad Bergzabern for the day to enjoy the wellness prgrams and the thermal waters and needed just a place to stay overnight. they had no problems finding it (i suppose they were warned) and were extremely excited about the place. they go to the area every year for an anniversary and thought tgis plca compared very favorably to where they stayed before.. they loved the location and surroundings, the friendliness of the staff and although they could only get a room facing the road to Pirmasens, they thought it was quiet. if there was anything, she did not tell me
They need to post a "sign" near the roadside so that they are easier to find (went past the hotel twice).
Very nice people and very helpful. Food excellant Breakfast good but could do better
Good food, comfortable room in a nice location Some noise from the road. Breakfast not available before 8.00am.
The attention to detail of the hotel was wonderful. The owners are friendly and care that things are beautiful and pleasant without being pretentious. Breakfast was a typical European experience and sitting outside was a wonderful option. The hotel grounds were particularly nice as well. The hotel is right by the road so there is some noise from the cars.
A good well run family owned hotel
Very comfortable bedroom with beautiful views over the lake. The main road next to the hotel was rather noisy early in the morning. The ensuite bathroom was very small, though fittings were modern.
Lovely hotel - very clean. The staff were very friendly & helpful (not all speak English but why should they? - we managed to get by easy enough). Certainly reccommend having an evening meal in the hotel - food was excellent.
The breakfast was superb liked being served in your own home. We arrived on a Sunday evening when the Hotel (and Restaurant)was 'shut' as such places have to do once a week in Germany! Once we pressed the bell the proprietress did everything that was needed for our stay.
Our stay was great. Breakfast was a wonderful, traditioal German breakfast. The beds were comfy, and clean rooms. I would stay there again and recommend it to anyone staying in that area. So fun that it has a pastery/chocoate shop hooked to it - it was also great! Restaurant doesn't serve dinner until 6pm, which is somewhat typical, we noticed while travelling through Germany and Belgium. We just went a couple doors down for an early dinner, instead.
Everything was good Nothing
Good position Mostly all adequate nothing poor
Comfortable, very well furnished rooms, with high quality toiletries, and great food.
Breakfast and no charge for dogs.Had seperate non smoking dining room Receptionist was unfriendly and brusque.I asked for a quiet room and was in one in front on a busy road!hardly got any sleep.Room bit shabby,in need of update.Garden at back unkempt and there was access to forest if you were brave enough to walk past the guard dogs to get there
The meal and special the breakfast were OK ! Bad location along an intensive highroad (day and night). No possibility having a room on the ground floor.
We arrived very late, tired and hungry. Although the restaurant was closed, the hostess kindly made us a large supper and could not have been more welcoming. The room was warm, clean, comfortable and very pretty. We shall definitely stay at this lovely establishment again, and would highly recommend. None
