Pros: Beautiful building and grounds. The location was a short drive to Cambord, Chevernay, and Chenonceau. It was also close to Amboise. There were many small town and fabulous restaurants near that kept us fed and happy. Olivier and his family were friendly hosts and their dog a treat. The park area was huge and easy to use. The house well maintained and the rooms large. The bath was Mondrian and spacious. We loved the house and area. The breakfast was good and plentiful with fresh made crepes each morning.
Cons: If the weather had been warmer we would have loved to use the beautiful pool.
Pros: Chateau is 18-th century building. Room named after Balzak ecceded our expectations, it was spacious room with big washroom with two sinks, shower and bath. Perfect bed, mattress and pillows. Hospitable owners Olivier and Ann-Sophia, friendly dog, delicious breakfast, cozy Livingroom, 18th century exterior and interior, convenient parking near the house. Definitely, it was marvellous place for all travel. And I am sure, that I will return again!
Cons: There were no disadvantages.
Pros: We really enjoyed our 2 nights at Le Clos Sainte-Marie. The suite was perfect for our family of 3. Everything was of a very high standard, all very modern, clean & spacious. The hosts were a lovely, friendly young couple who were very welcoming. Breakfast was delicious with a huge selection. We loved the open fire in the lounge room downstairs. We also appreciated having our own lounge room in our suite overlooking the garden. We recommend having dinner at the nearby Bistrot des Hautes de Loire, attached to the Michelin rated restaurant.
Pros: Great quiet location with big room and very nice pool
Pros: Breakfast excellent and we particularly liked haveing hot drink making facility in the bedroom with big mugs! Well done, the Brits will flock here. We like our morning cuppa before breakfast!!
Pros: A bit shabby chic on outside but once inside it was beautiful, very well equipped & owner very pleasant & helpful (excellent restaurant recommendation).
Pros: My family loved our stay with Sofie and Oliver! Are rooms were like a 5 star hotel but with a personal touch. Breakfast was lovely. I wish we had had more time to stay.
Pros: The breakfast was amazing
Pros: Beautiful property - extremely friendly and helpful owners. The room was a suite of 3 rooms (very large bathroom, lounge and bedroom) all extremely comfortable, spotless and tastefully decorated. Homemade plentiful breakfast offering local produces.

Pros: It's like you've come to the good old friends for the few days. Awesome old house in small and quiet village close to some chateaux. Very nice and friendly hosts.
Cons: Breakfast is not super good for kids but quickly resolved with muesli and omelette
Pros: Friendly hosts, clean spacious rooms and a good breakfast. If visiting ask the host to show you his vintage 1923 Citroen car!
Cons: Nothing to not like
Pros: This place is great for staying while visiting the castels on the Loire Valley. It’s around 15 minutes by car from Amboise castel and 20- 25 minutes from Chenonceau castle. The room was very clean, nicely decorated and the bed was comfortable. The house looks very nice with beautiful traditional decorations, a big living room and a lovely backyard. The hosts were great, very friendly sharing advice about castels to see and restos in the area. They prepared a very nice breakfast every day. The french toast prepared by Nicolas was amazing, literaly melting in the mouth ...
Pros: Murielle and Nicolas Breakfast was excellent and it included delicious pain perdu which we hadn't had before. (We had dinner with friends who were staying nearby,) Quiet location; nice house with large, relaxing garden; very comfortable bed; off-street parking for our classic car
When you stay at L'Aubinière Hôtel-Restaurant & Spa (2234370) in Saint-Ouen-les-Vignes, you'll be within a 10-minute drive of La Reserve de Beaumarchais and Château d'Amboise. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Room was very comfortable, well decorated and laid out. Slight mold evident on tiles behind bath a little surprising considering the standard of the rest of the hotel. Restaurant offered very good menu and wine list impressive.
Cons: Pool and spa not open into evening nor before 10 am
Pros: The staff is welcoming, the room is nice.
Cons: The outside space is limited compared with other country hotels I stayed.
Pros: The hotel was really nicely decorated. Quite modern with a lovely view from the pool area.
Cons: The pool could have been slightly cleaner. Also the staff were very unhelpful. When I thought I'd left my kindle in the room after we left, I phoned up once and they asked me to phone back in an hour after they'd checked the room. When I phoned after an hour back the woman on the phone suggested we drive back to the hotel to check the room ourselves as she didn't have time. I think that's extremely poor service for an otherwise very nice hotel.
Pros: Very good food and good spa
Pros: The staff were friendly and welcoming and the hotel was lovely. The food in the restaurant was wonderful. The spa was small but nice and the pool and terrace were great to use in the evening sun after a day's travelling
Cons: The automatic room entrance light kept going on and off at the beginning of the night - until we discovered the hotel cat had crept in the window earlier and was trying to get out of the door...! Nothing apart from having to leave the next morning.
Pros: Quiet location, modern, elegant and very clean rooms, very comfortable bed, excellent air conditioning, excellent gastronomic restaurant, good wi fi. easy parking, lovely terrace for pre-dinner drinks,
Cons: suggestion for the hotel: better fruit selection for breakfast
Pros: The host was really kind and smiling. The restaurant and facilities were very good. We had a great time!
Cons: Breakfast was a bit expensive but was really good and did not lack anything.
Pros: Very comfortable rooms, great AC, easy parking, good WiFi. Excellent restaurant. Nice teracce facing the garden. Quiet!!!! Very nice staff.
Cons: Would have loved some more seasonal fruit for breakfast ie strawberries, raspberries etc.
Pros: The staff were perfectly attentively we wanted for nothing!! The Spa facilities were fabulous, we were lucky enough to have them to ourselves one afternoon. The bedroom was fantastic very big and roomy and the mini bar was included. We had dinner in the restaurant the first night, it was one of the best meals we've ever had and we had a perfect table overlooking the gorgeous garden.
Pros: Excellent welcome, very nice and quiet room. The spa and the restaurant were top class with a special mention for the chef and the team who deserve stars if they don’t already have. The jacuzzi is in front of the windows facing the green garden and that enhance the relaxation while inside. The reception staff makes you feel very welcome and special and would do anything to arrange any requirement or need. This hotel is a little gem in the Loire valley and really worthy to stay in.
Cons: The hairdryer is a bit weak, but it’s a minuscule detail when everything else is far beyond expectations
With a stay at Auberge De Launay in Limeray, you'll be within a 10-minute drive of Château-Gaillard and Château d'Amboise. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, luggage storage, and laundry facilities. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Excellent food. Could not be better
Pros: This is a very well located typical Auberge property - small, functional rooms, lovely gardens, with the bonus of a very high standard fine dining restaurant. Meals are served in the delightful garden, food and wine were excellent. Breakfast was again quite typical, sometimes a little lacking in variety, but perfectly good and with excellent coffee. The one unexpected factor is that the property is quite close to a high speed railway line, and the noise of the passing trains during the night may disturb you if you are a light sleeper. But only 6-7 minute drive from Amboise, we enjoyed our stay and visited several chateaux - Cheverney, Azay, Chambord, Blois and Villandry - all easy to reach.
Pros: Wonderful, gourmet dinners and good selection of wines. Peaceful garden to have a glass of wine after touring for the day.
Cons: Room decor was nothing special. The last night we were there we found out you could close the outside shutters for privacy. No mini refrigerator in our room (don’t know about any others).
Pros: The staff were very helpful, the loacation was excellent and the facilities good and good value for money
Cons: Satellite navigation address did not take us to the right location
Pros: An oasis of calm between the main road and the railway. Food outstanding. Welcome wonderful. Trains a little noisy at night but not enough to put us off going again.
Cons: The trains.
Pros: Good location, very good restaurant,
Cons: Didn't feel that our Deluxe Room was "Deluxe" it was very small and the en-suite shower room was very small and cramped
When you stay at L'eclipse in Saint-Nicolas-des-Motets, you'll be 11 minutes by car from La Reserve de Beaumarchais. Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk, multilingual staff, and an elevator. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Small place in the countryside. Easy to find (next to the church). Place of 20 houses and 5 streets in the middle of nowhere. Excelent breakfast. Because of our short stay washing machine and dryer was not included. But we paid a few Euros and were able to wash the baby cloths..
Pros: Friendly owner. Nice rooms. Good (French) breakfast.
Cons: Not very clean, not very fresh.. Seems to be pet-friendly ? Linen on our bed had lot of hairs.. Owner immediately offered another room for us, which was OK. so only minus 1 star for that.
Cons: Old style smell. One from the group had allergy in the room (outside not).
Pros: Comfortable big and cozy room
Cons: Tiny bathroom.
Pros: A very interesting and nicely decorated old house. Very friendly and helpful host. A good choice, if you are looking for something extraordinary. Close proximity to several castles, in a walking distance to river.
Pros: Good location for bike trip on the Loire River. No restaurant or store in town. Staff were helpful. Owners made a dinner meal for me, very nice and at very reasonable price. Room was nice, spacious and clean.
Cons: As it was advertised and expected there was no internet so this is not a complaint but an observation for others to know in advance. Some language barrier since I do not speak French, staff spoke no English, owners who were there in the evening spoke enough English that we could communicate.
