Not Planned :-) ) we enjoyed coffee on the patio before getting ready for the Wedding at Dodford Manor. We cannot recommend this stunning place enough, and we will be back! despite a minor tearful issue :-D and if we're allowed ?? PERFECT *****

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Rural location, quiet, friendly staff. Good size room, comfortable
10.0 Excellent
Pros: What's not to like about this property. Set in the countryside so it's very quiet. The rooms were spacious, clean and well laid out and so was the bathroom. Only had breakfast in the morning but that was also spot on.
Cons: I don't think I've ever given anywhere full marks before it was that nice here. Rooms where quite warm cause of the time of year so could have done with a fan but that is my only complaint. Other then that I would definitely stay here again.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic service, comfortable bed, great breakfast.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful spot in the countryside. friendly staff and a warm welcome, beat the normal bland hotel a different place to relax.
7.5 Good
Pros: Beautiful peaceful property. Relaxing and enjoyable. Owner and manager went above and beyond to accommodate us after a booking.com disaster. We where made very welcome and well received with a BBQ dinner, drinks, smiling faces and sunshine.
Cons: Not much for eating out. Wasn’t a chef for dinner as was sick. Due to it being Grand Prix weekend a lot of places to eat where closed or full so we struggled a bit.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Everything else was okay
Cons: No air conditioning in the room. It was.so hot
9.0 Excellent
Pros: One of the best over night stays ever experienced. Brilliant location, good food and staff.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was excellent since we were going to Silverstone for Grand Prix the following day. Very impressed with Glenn because he went to the trouble to look up a route to Silverstone on Google for me which we followed and it was excellent. Breakfast was lovely we didn't eat much because we went out for dinner to Fox & Hounds the previous evening at your recommendation, meal was super, thank you for booking the table for us. Very comfortable bed, slept very well up at 6am ready for breakfast at 7am
Cons: Not too sure about the shower door held together with glue so gave it a miss in case we caused any damage. Otherwise all well
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful place. Peaceful countryside. Very comfortable. Great breakfast. Very friendly.
7.5 Good
Pros: Nice buildings, well maintained gardens.
Cons: The rear of the bedside cabinets need a clean, as do some of the carpet extremities. As the room doors are barn style, although aesthetically pleasing they let noise through well - predominantly from the opposite room!

Cons: The bill.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: A wonderful room with comfortable furniture. Delicious evening dinner in an intimate dining room setting. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice. Helpful, friendly and attentive staff.
Cons: Nothing.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The spa area and facilities were fantastic , very relaxing on a summer afternoon with a few glasses of bubbly and the breakfast choice was amazing in such a beautiful setting, pancakes were very tasty.
Cons: Although breakfast was amazing the rest of the food left us a little disappointed. The nachos were dry like a packet of crisps when the bag has been left open and the posh fish and chips that we had delivered to our room were poor for the Hugh price. It was more like fish and chips in a cheap brewery. While in the spa the area wasn’t kept clean and tidy. When we arrived we had to clean cups and saucers away and when we ordered wine we had to clear our own rubbish to make room .
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were very friendly and welcoming, the area around the estate is beautiful, the building itself is stunning, and the food was amazing. Would 100% stay again

5.5 Okay
Pros: Shower and bed very good.
Cons: For the Money paid, I would expect higher quality fittings in the room, and much better ingredients used for the breakfast. Milk was off on first day. Ate there both nights food average at best. Quite clearly this establishment is geared up to maximise profit with no emphasis on hospitality.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Cute villiage, really close to the highway, great food.

9.5 Excellent
Pros: Our room was very spacious, very light and very clean. Hotel offers a special deal some weekends so also had a two course meal included for very little extra cost. Even though I booked through this site and then checked out their website, they were very happy to upgrade me. Food was amazing. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay again if in the area
Cons: Without being picky- creaky floorboards, ( old building)slightly long wait after main course( allowing time for dinner to settle)- there is absolutely nothing I can fault about this place
9.5 Excellent
Pros: I felt very welcome and had a lovely meal. I was late getting there but it was no problem. Plenty of parking available and a good selection of meals.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location was excellent, staff helpful and polite, restaurant food was amazing.

6.8 Good
Pros: Staff were very good, room comfortable and clean.
Cons: Breakfast was very poor had to ask for everything
6.3 Good
Pros: Staff were really nice
Cons: Hotel needs updating. Everything looks dated and a bit dirty
5.5 Okay
Cons: The jacuzzi was out of order, the pool was freezing cold and the ‘spa’ area was filthy. we added an additional night 2 weeks prior to booking, when we arrived, we were told that we had to pack all or our things and move room after the first night, it was very disruptive as we were racing to get to a wedding. Also l had asked for adjoining rooms in my booking as I had three children, instead we got 2 rooms apart from each other. There was no breakfast ready on the second day, we had to chase down staff to ask for tea and coffee. Small detail but i just felt like nobody actually cared whether we got looked after I think this hotel has the ability to be good but just very poor attention to detail. I’ve stated in much better for a lot less.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Great location, very helpful staff at reception. Breakfast was very good, all round 10/10.
Cons: Lack of information on special deals that were on offer at the hotel.
9.3 Excellent

The on-site wellness centre also comes equipped with an indoor swimming pool, a sauna, a solarium and a fitness centre. Our on-site restaurants & bar offers excellent locally-sourced food, with 24-hour room service also available.
7.0 Good
Pros: Very professional staff who deserve better from their senior management. The hotel seems run down reflecting a lack of investment which leads fingers pointing at senior management of the chain, The grounds are pleasant to admire and walk in and there is plenty of car-parking space.
Cons: Poor facilities not befitting of a four star-three star at best. Sauna too cold, jacuzzi too hot, lack of lockers and then next day no longer working at all, without any reason given. People in the changing room were sharing similar comments! If you are offering sports leisure facilities, consumer expectations may be raised and so they MUST be operating adequately otherwise you will receive complaints and/or little repeat patronage.
7.0 Good
Pros: Staff were friendly and helpful, location was good
Cons: Leisure centre was closed at 4.30 pm
6.3 Good
Pros: Breakfast and location was fine, staff were friendly
Cons: There was a big Indian wedding on so the restaurant facility was the bear minimum, food for dinner wasn't great and the pool and spa facilities were closed Saturday evening and Sunday so we didn't get to use them Sunday morning either.
4.5 Okay
Pros: Reception manager dealt with complaint very well Breakfast was good although did not eat £10 worth - needed an alternate option cereal coffee and croissants - i did not want nor have time for much else
Cons: Lots room not as clean as I would like - filter packets not hoovered up Bathroom fan not working food quite expensive leisure club closed and this is the main reason for choosing the hotel
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Good size room and a large bed. Tea and coffee facilities available
Cons: Evening restaurant menu a bit limited
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The room size was good, and the staff were excellent. I asked for a taxi to be ordered for the following day and the receptionist couldn't have done anymore to help. It was a lovely hotel for a weekend away.
Cons: It was the hottest day of the year and there was no aircon, only a small fan that didn't help. The sausages were undercooked on the breakfast, luckily I noticed before eating.
8.0 Excellent
Cons: No aircon in rooms but a fan provided. Had lots of issues with keycard not opening door.
6.8 Good
Pros: The location was perfect for a wedding we was attending locally. Nice size room and was very clean.
Cons: Staff were extremely rude on reception. They over charged me when I was checking in. Not helpful at all. Didn't even explain how to get to our room. Breakfast was nice and was a wide variety but the hot breakfast barely had anything fresh if it was there at all. I waited 25 minutes for eggs to be cooked.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable but no lounge area to sit in evening after dinner only in bar/foyer which was very cold
Cons: Lounge area was in the foyer
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Convenient, functional, clean & comfortable
Cons: When there’s a large wedding on the reception is extremely noisy but it didn’t impact as we were visiting friend’s nearby. Take care getting in/out of the bath when showering as very slippery.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: It was within easy access of Rugby and Northampton, all of the staff very pleasant and polite. As we were tight for time we didn't get to grips with the Leisure facilities but it all looked excellent.
Cons: Had a slight problem with its name - Daventry Hotel as it was different to the one we booked - Barceló but once we arrived that was sorted out and allw as fine thereafter.
6.4 Good
Pros: staff were a lil frustrating when trying to check out some details. also when asked to pay by cash. the staff put the bill through on to credit card with out informing myself. along with not being there in person. this was uncalled for!!!

Pros: Lovely location and a short distances from the wedding venue we were going to.
Cons: No air con in the room. Which was only an issue because it was hot but a fan was provided.
4.3 Okay
Pros: The reception was the best part
Cons: The food what was left of it at breakfast Very dirty bathrooms
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Good location

Cons: As above
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Staff were friendly and quick to respond to my requests
Cons: Parking not great,very busy
5.0 Okay
Pros: Location and it was clean - breakfast was nice
Cons: No air con, couldn’t fully open the windows and there were only quilts on the bed rather than sheets which would be ok in winter but not in summer Leisure facilities were not in the same location as the rooms and had to walk down to the very end of the car park. Very small swimming pool and it was very crowded
7.5 Good
Pros: Good value for the price that we paid. Good location for the journey which we were making to Silverstone.
Cons: It was great that when I asked if there were vegetarian sausages at breakfast some were cooked for us but other hotels have these on offer and other items as the normal offering so that you do not eat the foods which you have already selected before you realise there’s is no additional vegetarian food so it meant we had the odd experience of eating the vegetarian sausages after our main selection. The layout of the hotel in terms of rooms I saw quite different and something of a rabbit Warren, not unpleasant just different and might not suit everyone. Also compared to other hotels which we often stay at (Village) the leisure club facilities were disappointing.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The facilities where brilliant, the food was really nice and the staff were very friendly and very helpful. And the breakfast just wow, I've never seen so many things on offer for breakfast they were loads to chose from and was very nice.
Cons: We didn't like the room, we only really slept in there (eventually) as we made use of the facilities and then went for a meal and drinks, but when we arrived back at the room we found a spider on the curtains and 2 on the floor, then they were 2 Beatles running around the floor , so then went on a bug hunt as I wouldn't have slept.we pulled the bed out and found a massive dead moth, 2/3 dead Beatles. Also there were red ants running around on the side . I don't think they should have been this many or even any bugs in a clean room (especially dead bugs) .
4.3 Okay
Pros: Breakfast was good - The bar was good
Cons: No fans in the room and it was 37 degrees - the bathroom was filthy with dirty towels - We asked for our money back and were going to move to another hotel - a fan was then found and we were moved into a new room -

6.7 Good (115 reviews)
Overview Reviews
When you stay at The Abercorn in Daventry, you'll be within a 5-minute drive of Daventry Country Park. Free self parking is available onsite.
4.5 Okay
Pros: The room was clean
Cons: No duet covers, no replenishment of the toilet roll. The building was very tatie. I’ve been to better bail hostels, in fact it closely resembles one.
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: nothing
Cons: poor location of car park, nearness of room to other properties amenities, people in the area,
5.5 Okay
Pros: The only positive thing was the staff, I called up to check-in and the man gave me directions for the car park around the back, waited for me outside and showed me to my room, he was very nice. Oh and the shower was surprisingly clean.
Cons: There was a green light above the bed that cannot be turned off meaning the room was lit up in green all night! There was also a window on the roof with no way to block the light meaning as soon as the sun rose in the morning it was broad daylight in the room making it impossible to sleep. The back entrance of the kitchen of an Asian restaurant was just outside the window so it was noisy until very late (around 1am). The mattress was clunky and uncomfortable and the bathroom TINY. I had to place my legs underneath the sink to sit on the toilet... Also no TV, no toiletries, no lamp on the bedside table.
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: Not much really, but you pay for what you get.
Cons: Bed was to small even for a single, green safety light was on all night in room. Door lock was not working properly.
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: None
Cons: Indian takeaway next to room very loud. toenails of last occupant all over the carpet! Green light keeping us awake. No mattress protector springs in bed 'bonging' every time you move
7.5 Good
Pros: It is convenient for central Daventry and is cheap
