I liked that everything was close to hotel. There was garbage in stairwells and so many homeless people hanging around.
The view and the facilities were worth it. Paying for parking, which was across the street... Very inconvenient.
Loved the location to the beach and the staff was awesome The window in our room was not sealed all the way, we had a view of literally only the roof, and the pool seemed small for a hotwl of that size. It was always packed.
ocean view was nice the room was small no refrigerator, no microwave, room was dusty and we had to enter from north tower when we stayed at the south tower. we had to have our vehicle parked across the street instead of at the hotel I understand there was storm damage from the hurricane but they could of told us the pool and spa were closed before we booked if we had known this in advance we would of stayed elsewhere. VERY DISPLEASED
The hotel was nice, clean and the staff were all very helpful. The restaurants offered good food (especially Hyde Park) and the pool area was fun to hang out in. The beach access was excellent and we enjoyed the ease of leaving at night to go on walks down the beach front. We didn't stay in Daytona much as we travelled to St. Augustine and Coca Beach but the hotel is a good half way point for both places. The food and beverages are really expensive and if you just add them to your room expense instead of paying cash the cost will add up quickly! The rooms are clean but very basic and had a little wear and tear. No refrigerator in our room nor a trash can in the bathroom which is just strange not to have. The windows and walls are very thin so you hear all the noise from the Amusement park which is right next to the hotel if you stay on the south side of the hotel. Valet is always nice but for $22/night again can add up quickly but they were very fast in getting my car!
The location on the Daytona oceanfront can't be beat. We have stayed here every spring break for the past 5 years. I must say, it has gone downhill. Everything is just looking shabby. Our room smelled moldy. The staff were incredibly rude on several occasions. we paid a premium price for Motel 6 service. We'll be looking for different accommodations next year.
The hotel is amazing and at a perfect view right on the Beach. It was an overall terrible experience, I had 2 nights and it was pricy but I was willing to pay some extra money to enjoy my vacation, the first night the room next to me had a party with a music that was so loud and when I complained, they changed my room and I had to pack my stuff and walk to the other tower for another room at 1:30 am, there was no security and rooms were packed with at least 5 or 6 teenagers and they were so noisy and again no security or someone who can ask them to lower the noise at least at night time, 2nd night had a false fire alarm and had to evacuate the whole hotel and that took about 3 hours to resolve, got back to my room at 1 am, that might be a bad luck so that won't be the case for everyone but once again the hotel had no kind of security or manager that take care of the guests and provide a quiet, relaxing time for their guests vacation.
Staff Room al
Proximity to everything and friendly staff. Went down for the bike rally and was charged excessivly for parking. I was charged to park my truck, my trailer and even charged to park my bike at the hotel for a grand total of $204.00 for 4 days.
Staff was friendly and helpful to an extent, the hidden fees were your surprise when checking out. All the add on fees are terrible!
the rooms were spacious and nice. The check in lady was very helpful and went above and beyond to make our stay great. I would definitely recommend staying here nothing
Nothing Where do I start with this place- The first room I was checked into was smelt so bad - The smell was like a pest control company just left before I got there and the carpet was still wet from being clean and it smelt of mold and must and bug spray . The bedding was stained and ripped . To make matters worse there was a drunk kid in the hallway sitting at the end near the room blasting his music . We asked for a different room and where given a different room the smell in the second room was a little better and also another drunk kid in the hallway on her phone sitting in the hallway . My partner and I decided at this point to find something to eat in the area and everything was closed . We decided to walk back to the hotel and see maybe if the bar or something was open in the hotel . We walked out side the hotel near the pool and that was a mess with beer cans and drunk people everywhere . At this point I called Kayak to complain about this and was able to get a refund when it finally hit us .. My partner had stayed at this very hotel on his spring break 31 years ago and the hotel had not changed in 31 years . This place need to do some major work and the staff is rude and need to be retrained . The staff lies to the customers about everything and the holding of funds on ur credit card . We where able to get all the money from Kayak but the funds from the hotel are still not refunded to the card and have called several times about this and get the run around this place is HORRIBLE and need to be put on HOTEL NIGHTMARES . we decided to head out daytona and head north and found a great hotel in Palm Coast .
The hotel is very nice and right on the beach. Swimming pool is heated but outside. I don't know about the rest of the hotel what room 104 was fantastic. it has a patio and access to the beach from your room.
The staff was amazing! Went put of their way to say hello everytime we saw someone, very attentive. We stayed an extra unplanned night because we were so impressed with their staff How expensive their drinks were. We spent more on drinks then we did on lunches and dinners
Huge issues with elevators. Only 3 for the hotel and 1 was broken much of our stay. Unable to use elevators at all during check out due to back up. Had to load gear for 3 babies by using 3 floors worth of stairs. Beautiful hotel but elevator problems are a deal-breaker.
To much noise
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was completely upgraded and clean. The amenities were very nice. Heated pool, it was December, salon, restaurant and outside tiki area. The outside of the hotel is not adequately being maintained. We had a street view and our window was so dirty we could barely see out of it and there was bird feces all over the ledge that had not been cleaned in some time. But still an excellent place to stay.
Bathrooms extremely small
The resort is directly on the water and is in the heart of Daytona Beach. We were able to walk to most of the local attractions and restaurants. Parts of the hotel were well decorated and maintained, especially the conference center wing and the lobby. Some of the food options at the bar side grill were very good and reasonably priced. My wife and I stayed at this resort for our wedding anniversary. We were very disappointed. Despite being let to believe by hotel staff that there would be some special anniversary accommodations, absolutely none were received. The hotel was very loud with spring breakers; we were woken up multiple times each night by the partying. Our entire floor reeked of marijuana and there were empty beer cans on the hall floors. The elevators did not seem to be functioning properly while we were there, for the wait times were unbelievably long. The breakfast buffet is nothing more than a cheap continental breakfast. We left the hotel every day for breakfast and dinner.
Was a little displeased with not having a comforter on the bed.
The View was breathtaking I was quoted a price of $93 I was charged 200 I was charged a resort fee of $20 I did not know about not only that they listed the spa and sauna hot tub as Hotel amenities in fact they were not they were an additional charge if you use the spa how can you list them as Hotel amenities we wouldn't never go back
Good location in terms of the beach In dire need of renovation. Awful rooms and staff are slow and inefficent at check-in
This was a great resort next to the boardwalk. You are in waking distance to the pier and food places. Once you park your car, no need to use it again until you leave! We will be back! It was just my fiancé and I, so the bar with all of the "buckets" were great! Clean, friendly staff!
Room was very big, great view of both the ocean and city, staff was very helpful Router for the wireless connection was unavailable
Convenience to dining, beach and price along with hotel comfort, also, the roominess. We have stayed with Daytona Beach Regency several times
The rooms were nice. Enjoyed the tiki bar and pool area. Not to many views of ocean or street. The parking garage for another hotel took up the whole south side of building and was very noisy.
The location. We hated the view, we go a view of the dumpster! We wanted to switch to ocean view and room wasn't available. The guest relation services would leave early and didn't always have the information I needed. That department really needed improvement,
The staff was very helpful and kind and the rooms were very clean and nice.
Having a two bedroom No washer and dryer in the room;the the carpet in the hallways and rooms need cleaning. Better ventilation in the hallways, it was stuffy , hard to breathe.
One front desk person was very nice, while the other was in the wrong job for customer service.
Room was excellent, staff were courteous and helpful. One of the best hotels I had ever visited.
I loved the size of the room, and all the amenities it offered. The view was wonderful, and there was not any noise even though it was at 90% occupancy. There was only one person working to check people in at night, which caused some delay.. and the hotel did not have our reservation booked correctly
Beach and pools, Oceanwalk Restaurants, and the Turtle Bar We were never able to get a chair by the pool, we were forced to go to the beach. There should be more chairs by the pools. Also, there were many people by the pool without bracelets. The Security at this resort should be enforcing this, they just ignored it.
The location is great, the view from my balcony. My room was not ready on time ,my waiting time was 40min Not towels my experience was not good Not good vacation
Clean place with great pool area for kids...but no room service, cleaning service or valet. So be prepared to wash your own towels.
The room was great, washing machine was a god send and easy to use, views from the room were fantastic, no maid coming into the room each morning was good, balcony was ace, no long ques for the lift, awsome place to stay for a family. it was very busy
The only thing I liked was the different pool activities for children and location We were placed in a Handicapped room with Me my fiance and 4 young children and the bathroom had no door and it was completely inconvenient and inappropiate. No one seemed to care of my concern.
Conviently located to the convention center. Good entertainment with a band shell, movie theater and amusement park all surrounding the facility. We had stayed at this hotel in 2000, 2001, 2002 and 2003. This was our favorite hotel. We were so excited to have a chance to go again. We were shocked at how dirty and poorly run it was this time. Not only was our room dirty (like fecal material on the shower curtin), but our room was missing the trash can, tv remote, pans, forks... Usually there is a check list for the cleaning crew. This was very frustrating. There was food smeared on the door of one of the elevators. It was there for two days! We brought our eighteen year old son into the adult activity room to play billards with him and were kicked out since he is under 21yo. The next day I watched a man and his three very young children play billards in there for an hour.
Hotel staff was horrible Waiting at the front desk for almost an hour and a half At 10:30 pm
Good value and location. Nice pool. No maid service during stay, but maid came thirty minutes prior to checkout to get room ready for next guests! Next time will check the fine print because 10am check out time during Biketoberfest may be a deal breaker.
The jacuzzis and the lazy river are great! Great access to and views of the boardwalk AC unit broke on last day there, no one came to fix it, and apparently never even put it in the system. Children were throwing bread and liquids into the jacuzzi tub beneath their balcony. In the bedroom facing the hallway, the curtains didn't close all the way and the blinds left huge gaps where you could see in from the outside, plus light just just streamed in all the time, it was never really dark.
Beautiful view from balcony, and pool area nice. Make sure when you book it specifies ocean front! Wifi is terrible!
Good pool, good tv channel selection, good dinning area long waits for the elevators
I loved the convenience of being able to walk out the the beach and walk to all kinds of entertainment and shopping. Eateries were awesome! Staff were very friendly and most helpful. Loved the pools and spas. Had all kinds of things to do without having to leave. Loved it! Upon arrival there was a mix up with the room. I had booked a one bedroom with two double beds and a sofa sleeper to accommodate 5 adults, and was originally given a one bedroom with a king size bed and sofa sleeper, but the staff were very quick to resolve even though it was spring break and booking was very heavy. I have absolutely no complaints.
I loved the view for our honeymoon really close to the beach great location very good staff There was a hole in the wall in my room straight through to the outside it was about a 50 cent piece all the way through the staff was very helpful and kind however not very organized
The pea loose behind the front desk were very accommodating to me!
Always try to stay here when in Daytona. . oceanfront rooms with balconies. Walking distance to the Sea breeze entertainment district and Ocean Walk Shoppes. Staff is good and helpful. Outside is a little dated but they are working on that. The interior of the rooms is great. It can be a bit pricy during big events. . but you will get that anywhere. . it's only a 2 star hotel. So not a lot of amenities. . it does have a pool and laundry room. . also parking can be tight if the hotel is fully booked. . .
Walking distance to boardwalk, shops, restaurants, entertainment, etc ... There were some roaches in our room dead and alive. It was really gross, especially when we had food to bring in. Other than that, the room/bathroom was overall clean.
Right on the water - close to nightlife, restaurants, and pier.
Bathroom had been recently remodeled - looked good and plenty of hot water. Had plenty of towels. King size bed was comfortable and in good shape. Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was free and decent enough. WiFi was strong. No closet (no hanger rod, no hangers) Bedspread had stains The green accent wall, while a nice attempt, actually made it feel dark and small. Open circuit box for cable TV near baseboard. Overall, the outside structure, walkways, etc. were dated and a bit grungy.
Right on the beach and a nice pool that they try to keep clean. I saw the maintenance staff out cleaning it every day. It was too cool to use it, but I'm sure it'd be real nice on a hot day. The seagulls seemed to like it too. Old and a bit run-down, but OKAY for what it is. The options at breakfast are pretty meager, but I liked the waffles.
