Location was lovely Michelle who handed us the keys was very friendly and Jono ( Her son) was at hand to help out with queries, both very friendly and attended to our requests immediately . They catered well for load shedding and gave good advice on where to eat etc.
The curtains on the windows are coming off, so just to have them put back on the hooks would be great.
Closeness to the sea
No seaview as represented in the photos
Location was great with amazing views of the Klein Rivier Mountains and Hermanus Free Wifi was great Large house with lots of space Great braai/BBQ up on the balcony Close to Gansbaai and Spar for shopping
Unfortunately the house needs a proper revamp & lick of paint - many broken curtains, rails, utensils, appliances, lamps etc. It just looked a bit tired & in need of some TLC. Not a huge amount of work, just a revamp No pool facility - a pool would transform the place A weird old outside toilet not being used A smell of sewage Downstairs bathroom was a bit damp and drains not draining. Doors not easy to close and stuck Weird front access via the garage
The towels ware soft and bedding clean
We arrived at the property and the property had FOR SALE signs all over the front garden. The main house looked liked it hasn’t been lived in for a long time and everything was opened, curtained ware opened and partially pulled of the front of the windows. After we finally got in touch with the owner over the phone and no one was at the property he’s messaged us with the info’ “that our bungalow was at the back, passed a white gate and the key is under a rock”. We finally got in to the bungalow we realise we didn’t have a view, the rooms ware very dark and very hot. In regards of security around the property there wasn’t none... the gate wasn’t secure at all it only had a latch on the inside and that didn’t even open properly and the sliding doors that led in to the accommodation had the most simple and non secure lock in the world... anyone could have just drilled it out of the the mechanism. But we ended up staying anyway as it was to late to change it last minute and we’ve taken all of our important belongings with us every where we went. The main reason we staid was because the location was great for all the activities we had planned in the area. We wouldn’t go back and we wouldn’t stay at the property ever again.
It is value for money & very spacious .
