Excellent breakfast rooms very large but a bit dark. Quiet location hotel took a bit of finding
Nice and friendly and great breakfast
fantastic location in a bautiful area with a lot of interesting thngs and musea to see.
Quiet and peaceful setting. A good base for getting to Ghent Brugge and Brussels Would have liked to have had the facility to make tea or coffee in the room
Unique setting, welcoming and friendly staff, quality of room service breakfast. couldn't fault a thing
This is a charming old building with historic significance - which is now a hotel. Baroc style with exotic carpets, large framed paintings, beautiful landscaped gardens. Family run, helpful and friendly staff, multilingual. Food and service were excellent. Located in an exclusive residentail neighbourhood, safe and secluded. Competitive room rate. The taxi to Ghent is 20 Euros each way.
This is a very nice hotel with friendly staff in a residential/rural location. Could have used internet/e-mail access.
Lovely people, charming location, great breakfast, good access to Ghent and Ypres Double bed way too small, barely even a double.
Very nicely located, beautiful inside interior. Bath tube is useless.
We had a pleasant stay at the Hotel Torenhof. Nice rooms, nice setting and above all very quiet and peaceful.
the restaurant was an unexpected suprise the food there was excellent
The hotel is in a lovely setting and has a very nice ambiance. The walls are very thin and you can hear everything that your neighbours do in their room or on the hallway.
Very good standard of food in the brasserie. This was busy with locals using it for dinner. Hotel not busy, given an upgrade in room. Quiet location yet easy access from motorway. Friendly staff and English spoken.
Good atmosphere, cultivated lokation and enviroment, breakfast exellent
Asa always - very pleasant staff and lovely hotel. In the weekends - they need more staff to help at the busy breakfast time, but he did his best.
The river location was excellent We were aksed to check out at 10 am (1 hour earlier than normal) as a "football team were checking in that day". Should that have made our stay shorter ??
Very nice surrounding, quiet, charming hotel. Better place to stay compare to city hotels and it is not far.
The location is superb. Rooms are nbot too big - at least ours - but furnished with taste. The noise was a serious problem. Doors and walls are not well insulated and a lot of noise coming from people returning or leaving their rooms. We could almost understand the conversation of the neighbours from our room. Whilst the location and set-up is very pleasant and recommendable, I would hesitate to send anyone because of the noise in the rooms.
Old country style building nicely located along the river. Gourmet restaurant is the main force of this hotel. For those traveling without car will have difficulty to get to this hotel by public transport. Taxi from Gent could be quite expensive.
The friendly atmosphere No clear instrction on what to do if no staff are available at boo in time
The care, attention and helpfulness from the owner and the comfort of the beds and bedding and modern style of hotel - did not want to leave absolutely nothing
very individual hotel. Built by the owner to a high standard for such a good value hotel.Easy access to the motorway but out in open countryside. Good parking and a nice bar.Ideal for an overnight stop or walking holidays in the countryside.Great value.
Excellent attention from the staff, good fresh food, lovely, comfy, clean room. Hard to find.
Modern rooms, friendly staff. Room was noisey during very heavy rain. No fault of the hotel, just the Belgian weather..
