Pros: The morning breakfast more than i thought it would be. the staff was very helpful when we had questions and over all it was a good stay that i will do again.
Cons: was not use to salt water in the pool. other than that nothing else.
Pros: Location to campus, fitness trail and breakfast
Cons: Evening drinks and refreshments were advertised. This location does not have a bar. I had a couple of dirty cups in my room when we checked in.
Pros: Great location for events taking place on or near NIU campus. Overall the room was clean and no complaints.
Cons: the pool was much smaller than anticipated. The price for the night stay seemed high for the location and amenities.
Pros: Clean, nice, and comfy place to stay.
Pros: Clean. Nice.
Cons: Breakfast could have been better. Boiled eggs were cold. They are better warm and fresh
Pros: one of the best hotel experiences I have ever had. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Housekeeping was efficient and left notes wishing me a nice stay, which was a very nice touch. Location was perfect to my event.
Cons: Though difficult for most hotels, I would like it if there were gluten free options for breakfast. I have celiac and sometimes hotels only have food that contain wheat or gluten.
The location is very convenient to NIU for anyone with a student there. I understand that some of the other hotels in the vicinity are very close to train tracks and trains can be heard from the rooms. the Hampton is at sufficient distance that this is not a problem.
Pros: It was very clean, modern looking and reflected the newness of the property. The key cards only need to be brought up to the sensors (not scanned) to grant access which is super convenient. Staff was very courteous and helpful.
Cons: Sadly, the pool area did not include a hot tub. While understandably these are costly to maintain, they really help to refresh a weary traveler.
Pros: I greatly enjoyed how friendly the staff was, ease of check in/check out, comfort of the king bed, and having breakfast available in the morning.
Cons: Unfortunately, the linens weren't very good...the towels felt starched, and it literally hurt to dry off after a shower. The morning breakfast didn't look too fresh, despite tasting quite good...possibly just sat out a little long? Compared to a recent stay at a Westin location for within $5 of price, this hotel just felt dated and slightly out of touch (with regards to linens and the breakfast, extra amenities). I was only in town for a night, so my experience here was limited. As said above, though, the staff deserves to be commended for their quick service and friendliness. That was the highlight of the stay.
Pros: We've stayed here often, and each time we appreciate the cleanliness, the variety of breakfast offerings, the well-maintained pool and fitness room, and the cheerful helpfulness of the staff. It is a good place for families as well as couples.
Pros: Some of the best hotel pillow I have ever had. Very good staff.
Cons: Absolutely anemic water pressure; no one in in our group of 12 rooms would wash their hair for fear of not being able to clean out the shampoo.

Cons: The cable TV was flaky or no signal on several channels.
Pros: Good location
Cons: Pool water murky, curtains did not darken room, only sheets closed all the way
Pros: Very clean. The breakfast was outstanding and the variety was absolutely fantastic.
Cons: No laundry facilities. Pool was broken.
Pros: The room was clean and as expected.
Pros: Thought the breakfast had quite a variety and was very good room was clean and beds were comfortable.
Cons: Unfortunately the side entrance near my room was not working and getting back late parked near that entrance only to find out had to walk around to main entrance would've been nice that it was mentioned at check in
Pros: Nice sized rooms and good public spaces. I've stayed here often and always had a good experience.
Cons: Nothing not to like.
Pros: Staff was very friendly and helpful. Took care of a problem I had efficiently.
Cons: Must have been the first night this season anyone needed to turn on heat in the rooms as it got cool on this night. Upon turning on the heat in the room, the most foul stench ever emitted from the heater. Night attendant gave me another room.
Pros: Staff was very polite, clean rooms and quiet.
Cons: Pool is very small...more like a baby pool and it is in full view of the lobby.
Pros: Conveniently located between Sycamore and DeKalb. Close access to dining and entertainment. Staff was very helpful. Clean throughout the hotel. Breakfast was well stocked and tasty.
Pros: Room was clean and comfortable.
Cons: The Pool water was really cold. Vending machine was pricey.

Pros: It was a good hotel for the money and business.
Pros: New updated look to it, clean, comfortable bed tho pillows were small, no toiletries provided besides a weird smelling bar of soap that dried your hands up
Motel 6 Sycamore IL is conveniently located off of SR-23 Dekalb Ave and within 4 miles of NIU Northern Illinois University. Restaurants are nearby. All guest modern rooms include a mini-fridge, and Wi-Fi is available for a small fee.
Pros: My son forgot his wallet and the staff mailed it to our house. I thought that was excellent.
Cons: It's just an older motel, so it had a little wear and tear.
Cons: you could hear EVERY little noise through the walls, the people next door, the guy walking outside, cars going buy, the AC didn't work, and the bathroom floor stayed damp but I never used the shower, so why was is wet?!?!
Cons: There Wi-Fi was terrible during a large event going on. Their 'business center' was one old computer still running an outdated version of Windows XP. Should at least upgrade the computer and operating system. Should also serve breakfast.
Pros: Close to the event we were attending.
Cons: I had booked 2 superior king rooms several months in advance, but when I arrived, I was told they only had one king and then 1 room with 2 full beds available. We were quite disappointed, but had to take them because there were no other options available.
Pros: Big room
Cons: No air conditioning controls
Pros: The staff was very friendly, the room was functional and as expected.
Cons: The wifi signal was so weak in my room I couldn't connect to the internet. The lobby person tried restarting the router but it didn't help. I hope this can be fixed.
Cons: Not rated correctly. It was rated as 2.5 stars. Not close. We've stayed at 2.5 stars before. Hampton Inn was also rated as 2.5 stars. No comparison. We had friends who stayed there. Please have someone from your staff check it out.
Pros: It was clean and comfortable. All the staff was very polite and helpful!
Pros: It was clean, comfortable and quiet, front desk was very nice too.I like the price, with traveling you dont spend much time there, just sleep and shower.5
Pros: bed was good
Cons: coffee was good
Pros: Location, friendly staff
Cons: Lousy microwave oven in the breakfast room that probably leaks microwaves and is nearly impossible to use. Creates bad impression for whole chain that they wouldn't replace an inexpensive item like this with a safe one.
Pros: The hotel was super cool, even put one of our metal prints in the lobby during the CornFest. They were amazing when we needed a few extra hours to checkout after we had a bunch of stuff shipped in and we were running behind big time. Wonderful people!
