The hospitality of Charlie and Angie was second to none. This is a first class B&B that would put many top class hotels to shame.
Everything was brilliant. Very comfortable place, luxurious, excellent breakfasts, fresh milk in the rooms, friendly hosts. Nothing
Room, lovely, bathroom incredible--never saw lights in the floor before; Happy we stayed in for dinner, which was simply excellent. Angie and Carlie are wonderful hosts.
This is a beautiful bed and breakfast, they also provide evening meals if you ask.The owners are friendly , the facilities are spotless. It is the best bed and breakfast we have ever stayed in. Food was lovely.A really good experience.
You get what you pay for and our experience at the Castle House was outstanding.Comfort, cleanliness, beautifully decorated and lovely views of the Clwyd valley. There were none.
Very distinctive and interesting, beautiful situation, peace and quiet Lack of modern shower, bedroom somewhat overdressed for my taste detracted from essential quality
Excellent staff made the welcome feel very personal - nothing was too much trouble. Two first-class dinners in the conservatory and an excellent breakfast each morning.
Wonderful hosts, great house, rooms, food. Feels like you're visiting old friends.
Friendly and helpful staff
The standard of the bedroom, lounges. Dining room, quality of food etc N/A
Price quoted was £75.00 price to pay at hotel was £90.00 ?
ambience of the room, cleanliness, breakfast. Poor signage on how to get to you
The location was lovely and very peaceful, the rooms were fabulous and fabrics and furnishings were really luxurious. The owners were really friendly but not intrusive - very good hosts. The food was fantastic! I would like this to be a secret for just us really but wish Bre and Graham a very successful future at the Pentre Mawr. HOnestly can't think of anything.
Lovely rooms, quiet+++ None
The whole atmosphere andt the friendliness of Graham and Bre
The staff is unbelievably friendly and accommodating. The food was fantastic and portion sizes were great. Our room was very large with a lovely view of the grounds. There is a wonderful beer garden and children's play area in the side garden. We will surely be staying here again and again! (The price was absolutely perfect!) Just a few small issues in the room. The shower curtain could use a good wash and there was a small bit of paint chipped off one of the radiators. Nothing major.
The staff was outstanding the frunishings and lay out are amazing, and the food was wounderful.
Cosy, clean, quiet, comfortable, friendly, great breakfast None!
The b&b is modern, clean, tastefully decorated. it is better than most five star hotels. the breakfast is fab. and you could not find better hosts. Shame we could not stay longer this time!!
One of the best guesthouses I've ever stayed in. Really lovely accomodation that was spotlessly clean. Exceptionally welcoming hosts, most helpful and imformative. Fantastic food with huge portions. Great value for money.
Owners very helpful and friendly. Relaxed atmosphere. Room well appointed.
Excellent B&B beautiful location and Sarah and Patrick are wonderful hosts. Our room was beautiful with our own patio but the mattress was much too firm.
Room was clean and comfortable, friendly reception staff, nice breakfast. The noise. I could hear the TV clearly from a neighbouring room, but wasn't quite sure which room it was to make a complaint. Maybe a reminder by the TVs for guests to consider other guests, would be helpful?
That it is a very good all-round hotel with just what I needed. I have stayed before N/A
Very friendly knowledgeable staff. Excellent customer service - I was working away from home on my birthday and I was given a free bottle of bubbly!!! Lovely quiet setting with beautiful garden. The shower in the bathroom was very poor - just a dribble so it took ages to have a wash. It was good to have a leisure club but the changing areas smelled a bit musty and could have been cleaner.
Family room was spacious as was the double bed Arrived just after 5pm and the hotel smelled of cooked food.which lingered into the evening - perhaps they need better extractor fans. The breakfast was at best OK - greasy and event the mushrooms had been deep fried and tasted of stale fat. The children were not allowed in the pool unitl 10 am - I think this rule could be relaxed when you're paying £120 a night for 2 adults and a child in a hotel that I wouldn't grade as 4 star
-good size room even though a little dated (facilities fine) -clean sheets -good service -descent breakfast busy on the night (wedding) therefore no parking for guests - evening meal not top notch which I had expected judging by surroundings & prices in menu - room & bathroom definitely ready to be refurbished
Everytjing - where do I start?!The room was perfect, the staff wonderful, the food fantastic (best steak I've ever had) very clean and overall a super place to relax. I can't recommend this establishment highly enough!
After a long journey and busy working day, it's lovely to be greeted by friendly, pleasant, efficient and welcoming staff. Instantly you begin the 'unwind' process. The well furnished comfortable rooms provide great 'chill out' space. If you do need to catch up on work tasks and emails, access to the internet, and a comfortable desk, meet your requirement. The Conservatory provides a wonderful view of the grounds and can be used for business catch-up, enjoying a beverage or two, or just unwinding. The overall package the hotel provides is wonderful and just what you need when your away from home on business. Nothing at all - perfection!
the service & accommodation
Very friendly service. Great gym/pool facilities. Very nice meal. The only thing was a very creaky floor in the bedroom
