9.5 Excellent
Pros: Very quiet. We had 2 large bedrooms that would have accommodated 4 people (There were 2 of us). Very tastefully decorated and comfortable. We had a private breakfast room where breakfast quietly and magically appeared every morning.
Cons: A bit isolated. We had a big, private breakfast room but house rules did not permit us to use it for "picnic". In fairness, there are 2 outdoor tables available, but the weather was not great while we were there.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: SUPERB in every detail. The Welcome, the location, the accommodation, the breakfast - all absolutely delightful. Fastidious attention to detail makes this unsurpassable if you are looking for a quiet relaxing stay, and with excellent access to Angers (only minutes away) offers everything one could want.
Cons: Nothing could have been better.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful rooms, pleaceful and quiet, well situated for Angers and the loire valley. Lovely breakfast.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was lovely. The rooms were spotlessly clean and the décor was lovely. The breakfast was fantastic. The hosts were helpful and very friendly and gave us somewhere to keep our bikes safe. We took a scenic bike ride to the local creperie. Highly recommended.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was just OTT, we had more choices than I needed, with nuts, cereal, croissants, bread, cheese and fruit. We booked here because it was on the way elsewhere, it is a little out of the way, but makes up for it with great facilities and a fantastic breakfast.
Cons: We were here during a heat wave and it was hot, AC is probably going to be required next year as the world heats more
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely accommodation, very comfortable, very amiable host
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The bed was very comfortable. We had plenty of rooms to put our bags and there would have been the possibility to have a family of 4 with separate bedrooms. The bathroom had a superb bath. It was great, the breakfast was amazing and different every day we stay. Such a quiet place!
Cons: Nothing

10.0 Excellent
Pros: If it were possible, I would give 11 points to this place. This is a recently converted and modernised farm. Very quiet place among fields, vineyards and forest. The owner is very friendly and easy going. The room was excellent, with all facilities, including a tea kettle. Excellent supper was prepared from fresh local products. Wonderful breakfast. I did not want to leave))) I would recommend it to anybody and if I come again to that part of the world, I would stay there again.
Cons: Everything was excellent!

Pros: Everything was perfect there... we wanted to „touch” French countryside during our tour via France and by visiting the Moulin de Gaubourg our impressions were more than positive :) Beautiful surroundings, nice breakfast, clean, comfortable & pleasant room, very friendly atmosphere :) perfect!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: - very kind and willing to help host - sparkly clean rooms and bathrooms - beautiful, peaceful and quiet location with birds singing in the background - the room is tided up every day - 15 min drive to Angers - sweet white cows in the backyard
Cons: - breakfast consists of mostly bread and was the same every day of our stay. Despite this this was very tasty, just baked bread.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely place with awesome Host. Great Vineyards for walks . Place reminded me of Hunsel and Gretel or something out of Aesops Fablrs
10.0 Excellent

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Exceptionally friendly and helpful host. Lovely rural setting. Large room with well appointed bathroom. Very nice breakfast.
7.0 Good
Pros: The host was very friendly. The breakfast was great as the host promotes typical handmade products really delicious.
Cons: Not a cons, but more a suggestion for improvement: a little bit more of attention to details, for example, when having breakfast or dinner outside, there were ants on the table.

Pros: A beautiful b&b well located for wine lovers. The b&b is historic, very green and nice. Alix has her own chickens and the food she cooks is amazing. Unfortunately, the weather during our stay wasn’t very nice, otherwise we would have explored more on foot. Can only recommend this place.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This wonderful, grand old house enshrines so much of what I’m sure most visitors are seeking in France. A great setting, huge bedrooms, magnificent staircase, very comfortable bed, and the very best of breakfasts prepared by the delightful owner for whom nothing seems too much trouble. All the produce is locally sourced, and the delicious and varied jams are made by the owner.
Cons: There was nothing to dislike. It was a thrill to stay in such an historic house.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The house and garden are beautiful, unusual, welcoming and full of history and original features. Modern comforts are all there and still fit with the historic charm. Alix the charming host was so welcoming and anticipated our every need. The breakfast was amazing with fresh juice, delicious home made yoghurts and jams and an abundance of bread and pastries and local strawberries. We also had dinner there and the food was absolutely delicious, all home made and so carefully thought out, a really memorable feast, compliments the the chef. Also both the meal and the extraordinary room were fantastic value. Best place ever, we’ll be back, and will tell all our friends, gems like this are very rare.
Cons: It was absolutely perfect, we would recommend it without reservation
10.0 Excellent
Pros: During our vacation along la Loire we stayed at several different places. Without exaggerating we can say that the highlight was the stay at the beautiful Logis St. Aubin. We simply enjoyed everything: the warm welcome, beautiful room, house and garden as well as the nice company of the host, Alix. Excellent breakfast and dinner, everything freshly prepared using high quality regional products, plus a very comprehensive selection of regional wines.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a beautiful old manor with lots of charm. The owner lives there and works hard to maintain it. Guests are made to feel at home. Take advantage of the table d’hote. We wished we could have stayed longer. Merci Alex. Nous esperons a revenir. John et Sandra

Pros: Alex was an excellent host and chef, every meal was a joy and her company certainly enhanced our holiday experience. Local knowledge was brilliant and her command of English was that of a native speaker. Bedroom was huge with a lovely view over gardens and the village.
Cons: Bath / Shower was a bit cramped being in the eaves of the house.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: An impressive period property with lots of traditional features. A very pleasant host with excellent English to help make up for the fact that our French is not as good as we would like it to be. Tea and coffee making facilities in room as well as water provided. WIFI available in room.
Cons: No parking on site although off road parking was found nearby. Evening meal, although creative, was small portions and wine limited despite the €30 cost per person.

Kettle, coffee maker, etc. Washing machine. Iron and board. Towels and sheets supplied. Great shower. Separate cubicle. Lots of usable power points. Nice walk along the Loire. Nearby Behuard beautiful.
Cons: Getting luggage from car to gite challenging, involving parking on footpath, on a corner, whilst unloading/loading. No restaurants/shops handy. No TV Could do with air con. on hot nights.

9.3 Excellent
Pros: The property is in a quiet position, accessable by a narrow road over a dike along the floodplains of Loire, but certainly not within walking distance of Les Ponts-de-Cé . It is very safe with access and egress by a lockable gate. It has nice gardens with comfortable furniture. The hardworking landlady is absolutely lovely and made us feel very welcome. She told us about all the work they had done since buying the chateau and their plans for future development of the various outbuildings. Our bedroom was beautiful and the aircon worked a treat. The breakfasts and the evening meals were lovely and so was the choice of wines on offer.
Cons: Only a small point, but I didn't like the peacocks freely roaming about the place and the noise they made.

Pros: Very friendly staff, great views and comfortable rooms.
Cons: Everything was great.
7.0 Good
Pros: Fantastic location, great views, very modern room.
Cons: The shower head fixing was broken which meant that it was almost impossible to get a shower.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Extremely friendly and helpful owners. Easy to check in and check out. Excellent location. Very spacious, tidy and comfortable room.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The location was very good. The room spotless. The staff very helpful. Room had good A/C which was quiet in operation. The room had a kettle with tea and coffee.
Cons: It was disappointing to discover that the restaurant was closed on a Monday (which was the night I stayed), I only spotted this after the confirmation email. However, there was a very good restaurant (Le Bosquet) which was around 25 minutes walk away - the walk was very pleasant. Breakfast at EUR14.50 each was over priced with the usual minimal continental offerings.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Everything was mostly grate, the staff at the reception was extremely kind and welcoming. The place is stunning and we had a great stay. Clean and comfortable, hight security system.
Cons: The staff serving breakfast wasn’t the kindest, it didn’t seemed they had their best morning... one of the girl was pretty rude to the guests.
7.5 Good
Pros: Nice location on a quiet island outside of Angers. Great for the price.
6.8 Good
Pros: OK for overnight stay.
Cons: Don't be fooled by the photo of the lovely building in the advert. That is just the restaurant. You will be staying in an annex that is more like a motor lodge and the secure parking is a fenced off piece of land with an electric gate.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The view from both windows over the Loire River. The room was fantastic and the restaurant top class.
Cons: The parking cost 10€ but our booking suggested it would be free.
6.3 Good
Pros: The setting is perfect. The hotel is just on the Loire bank.
Cons: The rooms we were given were not in the main building, but in a new building. The view from the room was not as mentioned in the room description. However, the rooms in the ground floor have a small but nice terrace. Moreover, one of the rooms was for disabled people which I don't think it is fair since we did not need the facilities. I also think they are a little bit sarcastic since the disabled room was no.13... We asked to be moved but they were not very friendly..

Cons: Everything was great
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Lovely greeting by owner as we arrived. Quirky and individual in character with old buildings and garden. Delightful setting overlooking the town. Delicious home made breakfast served with home made jams and fruit. The owner even took us in her car to a fabulous French restaurant outside town with her friends. She really went out of her way to ensure we had a wonderful and memorable stay at her property.
Cons: Not enough electrical sockets in the bedroom and poor lighting also.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great views and safe storage for our bicycles. Nice breakfast. Lovely and quiet.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great and unique mini apartment with plenty of privacy and comfort, excellent breakfast and friendly host. Guests have access to their own really well-equipped kitchen and are free to cook if the mood takes them. Moulin Gheant is in a superb hillside location with great views in every direction of this lovely part of Loire valley and the village of Rochefort with all the necessaries is close at hand. I was doing the St Malo to Nice bike ride and found this an excellent cycle-friendly alternative to the rather more expensive accommodation in nearby Chalonnes-sur-Loire. Would like to have stayed longer and hope to return.
Cons: Not a complaint, but be aware that Moulin Geant, although close to town and a very visible former windmill, is accessed by a track so pay attention to Elke's helpful instructions to find it, as Google maps etc. not entirely accurate.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: We were made to feel very welcome. The surroundings were beautiful and we were able to walk to the local village to get some provisions. There was a safe dry place to store our bikes
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Elke provides a secluded and organic B&B tucked away on the hillside 500 meters from the town of Rochefort s/ Loire. Once found it is a little oasis with views of the Loire and surrounding countryside. The common room where breakfast is served has a full kitchen where you can cook a meal or enjoy reading a book. A beautiful terrace is provided for warm sunny days. Elke provides a lot of information on the surrounding area and is a friendly and engaging host. Breakfast was a standard continental one but with all organic products and very good bread. The bed and shower in our room were wonderful.
Cons: The signage for the B&B was minimal, however, Elke provides good instructions for finding the place via email before your arrival. We stayed in the basic double room with no view, which was fine, but if you are tall there are many low beams and a sloping ceiling to hit your head on. The lighting was not great if you like to read in bed.

Pros: The location was good for Angers and the value for money was excellent. Breakfast is extra and not worth paying for.
Cons: Breakfast food was not hot enough and had to ask for it to be warmed up. Also we went for breakfast at 08.30 and most of it was gone.

5.0 Okay
Pros: The price of the rooms. Convenience of the location.
Cons: The room could have been cleaner as there were cobwebs evident. The property is looking 'tired' and in need of freshening up. The paintwork in the room was quite scuffed and damaged and externally the whole property is in need of redecoration. The tariff for breakfast on the back of the room is given net of tax and therefore costs more than the given price which we found to be misleading.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: great convenient location and very quiet given that it's right next to the motorway. Usefully near to a supermarket. Ideal for the dog with a ground floor room
Cons: We expected a restauranr but exceptionally it was shut
8.3 Excellent
Pros: I really liked the air conditioning in the bedroom. The breakfast included a lot of different choices, among which frozen yogurt, which is nice. The restaurant was affordable and decent.
5.0 Okay
Cons: Very tired and dated room. Paper thin walls.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The evening meal was served outside on decking, in a shady area with trees. Although right next to the A87 Motorway, a sound-baffle fence stopped all sound of cars. Meals were home-cooked.
Cons: Main courses were often served by the cook wearing kitchen clothing. Someone dressed more smartly would have been prepared
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Bathroom
Cons: Soap was empty shower
7.0 Good
Pros: Location was good and having a restaurant on site was key to the decision to book this hotel. Breakfast was fine.
Cons: Rooms were tired and restaurant wasn't open in the evening necessitating going out again after a long drive to find somewhere else.

Pros: Bedding was clean.
Cons: Location. Nothing near it. On an industrial estate.
10.0 Excellent
Cons: Difficult to find
6.3 Good
Pros: Convenient location close to the motorway for a one-night stopover. Very clean.
Cons: Extremely basic and located on an industrial estate with no facilities in the neighbourhood. The "bathroom" was more like a portakabin! My single room was small, claustrophobic and too warm (no airco), and I couldn't sleep with the window open because of constant traffic noise from the motorway. With the windows closed, the sound insulation from outside noise was good, but all the hotel doors closed noisily, so sleep was difficult with people arriving throughout the night. On arrival after a long drive, I was hoping for a beer or a glass of wine but there was only a distributor of soft drinks and snacks in the hotel. I was directed to a nearby Buffalo Grill with a long queue and serving drinks only with meals!
4.3 Okay
Pros: This is a one night stop over hotel only...
Cons: When we arrived (approx 3pm) the automatic reception did not work. Reception opened at 5pm, we arrived back at 6pm with lots of annoyed people and still no reception. So we called booking.com - the guy who answered the call, after a few minutes of trying to find our booking - cut us off. So I call back, and get the out of office message!! We then drive into Angers, where the very helpful tourist information person called the hotel to find out what was going on. Apparently the reception person has called in sick, but no problem someone was there now checking- in guests. We drive back to the hotel, lots of people trying to check- in, we wait. The guy offers us breakfast as an apology, we politly decline. We change our minds about an hour later, go back to reception - but now the guy is not interested and will not offer us the breakfast!! So the morale of this tale is I would not recommend the hotel and do not use booking.com as they will not be interested in you once its booked. Go direct instead...
