Close proximity-walking distance- to the train station, the city centre and Dessau Insittute of Architecture where my daughter was starting her graduate course. Room was quite spacious and clean 1.Very expensive phone and internet charges and the reception staff were willing to help me book my onward accomodation in Berlin only if i chose the Steinberger hotel. When I asked for help to book a cheaper hotel-Crowne Plaza, I was told to pay (Euros 5 for 20 minutes!) to use their internet to do my own booking. 3. No complimentary in-room tea/coffee service
Cleanliness and comfort of room. I am unable to come up with anything additional remarks. At arrival I asked about any TV channels in english and was told there are none. At our departure departure I discovered at least two channels. They should advise international vositors.
Hotel Staffs were so kind. They always listened to my request.
After many varied hotels in my recent trip, this was my last night and it was such a relief to have a large, modern, bright and comfortable room! Also, I decided to have dinner at the hotel, and the food and wine were both excellent and good value. I would have liked to have just a light breakfast, but this option was not available. The buffet breakfast looked great, but I just don't eat that much in the morning!
air conditioning not working and staff not helpful.....told to open window! hotel needs to be refurbished
Only there for one night and only slept in room for a few hours but very good value for money compared with other hotels
good price comparing to the quality; friendly staff, clean & big rooms
Dessau is not Venice, but the hotel is nice, fresh and about 10 minutes drive from autobahn.
The staff was excellently trained.
The room was very clean, comfortable and modern. The location is very close to the main tranin station.
Room too cold - heating inefficient. Restaurant closed in the evening and no food available - reception advised that as so few guests staying the general manager decided that the staff could go home. Not advised when signing-in. When checking in I advised that I would take breakfast, but then after paying my account before taking breakfast I had to pay for breakfast seperately. Reception not good.
as i drove into Dessau i thought i had gone back into the 1970's -80's. As i arrived at the NH Dessau it stood out from the other buildings around,The staff were very wecoming and pleasant, the room was spacious and clean, as it was a Sunday, everything was closed so i was happy they had FREE skysports on the tv in the room. Breakfast had a great variety and the staff were always on hand with a smile, and nothing was a problem for them.
Staff friendly, hotel clean, close to ammenities No
Too many people were smoking at the lobby, it's a very bad feeling of my smell, really bad, please care about this~
The staff were excellent, and made up in part for the deficiencies of the hotel, and the breakfast was fine. The internet access is impossible. There is free 30 minute access, so slow it took 25 minutes to load my list of email messages. Because of this the hotel then provided 24 hour access to their "business level" wifi. This at least enabled me to access emails - until the whole service crashed. The cable connection in the room (charged some stupidly high price) did not work. This is a hotel in Dessau, the home of the Bauhaus. It has the worst designed bathroom I have come across in Germany. The toilet was hard to flush, there was a bath - but no bath tap.
