10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful hotel in a wonderful location. Room full of character and the hosts charming and polite. Highly recommend this for anyone looking for a typical French hotel
7.1 Good
Pros: The hotel itself was lovely but unfortunately as the restaurant was closed we had to eat at a nearby restaurant as suggested by the proprietor. It was good honest food and a really nice environment. It was difficult to fully judge the hotel itself as we appeared to be the only guests on that particular night so perhaps the attention to detail was not all it might have been had the hotel been a bit busier.
Cons: We did feel a bit as though we were intruding into their personal time/space for the reasons above
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable small hotel in a small quiet village. Great restaurant, we were not that hungry having had a late lunch, but the tastes and the portions were just right!
Cons: It was very hot at night but we didn’t want to open the windows to cool down and let the insects in.

7.1 Good
Pros: Whilst the accommodation had all or most of what was advertised it was perhaps a little misleading. eg the TV was in the lounge.
Cons: The drinks making facilities were downstairs and we were uncertain if we could use them other than at meal times. the breakfast was very basic consisting of one French stick per couple plus a croissant apiece. There was butter and a selection of jams. Tea and coffee was provided but that was it. The storage box at the bottom of the bed was falling apart and threatened to collapse at any moment.

Cons: Such a lovely place in the middle of the forest, but a short walk to the village. My daughter and I loved it.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The property was definitely unexpected. It is located in a lovely forest, a bit rustic and charming. The room was large, comfortable, immaculate, a spacious designer bathroom and shower. The staff was very friendly. We had dinner at out door grill with other guests. I especially enjoyed hiking around the adjacent forest. If you are looking for internet or phone service you will be a bit frustrated. We found it relaxing to put down the phone and not look at a TV, sit back and enjoy nature.
Cons: Nothing to complain about...
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable bed. Huge bathroom with a good shower.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The host was very welcoming and her ability to speak English helped given our French is not as good as we would like. The location, albeit a little remote, was ideal to use as our base for sightseeing whilst in the area.
Cons: Would have been nice to know in advance that options to eat out were more limited than we had anticipated.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nature. Room condition.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The owner was lovely and explained everything well in English. It is a very peaceful location with access to lots of activities if wanted including table tennis, tennis, swimming pool, bicycles etc. We didn’t utilise any of this on our trip. There is a lovely shop on site with local information and products. The hostess sold us discounted tickets for the Chateau which was great. The room was large and very clean. Plenty of parking.
Cons: No TV or tea/coffee making facilities in the individual rooms, but this was available in communal spaces, our personal preference is in the room. The hostess made restaurant recommendations which was great however due to our late arrival everywhere was either booked or closed, as a note book in advance. This is no reflection on the hotel just a piece of advice.

Pros: Family friendly place, excellent hospitality, very relaxed atmosphere, great food.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Centrally located in the Loire Castle region. Outstanding breakfast with delicious local cheeses. Lots of TLC in this pampering place. Hosts were welcoming, built a fire for us in the historic sitting room, let us play the piano, walk the grounds and they made a reservation for us in a great nearby restaurant. They took the time to give us information about the history of the place and the family which enhanced our experience greatly. Hopefully we will be back to stay again!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Really good family suite nestled on top floor of chateau....kids loved their room and huge play area. Chateau is beautifully situated and we took advantage of free bikes to do a long bike ride in the morning - this was all on tracks next to chateau and hardly saw a car the whole time! Really yummy breakfast too!
Cons: All good from us.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful stay in a beautiful old Chateau with lots of Charme and personality! We arrived late for a stop-over and our wonderful hosts served us a delicious light diner! Very warm and charming people-we will definitely come back and recommend this place 100%!
Cons: Everything was Excellent!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hosts Claudine and her family were so helpful, went out of their way to help us when we needed a taxi in a pinch. Thank you so much!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We loved borrowing the bikes and exploring the vicinity. We ate in the chateau and the four course meal with wine was superb, as was the way we were looked after. The chateau has a fascinating history and staying in a building built in 1792 gives a real sense of what life was like. Bathrooms were all up to date and with Fragonard toiletries. Plenty of space for parking and not far from the motorway so great for an overnight stop. Many different local places of interest for a longer stay. There’s a good tennis court and hot tub. Breakfast was included in the price and delicious...cold meats and cheeses, pastries, bread, yoghurts, local honey and jams and eggs.
Cons: Next time we would try and book the family room instead of two separate rooms to keep the cost a bit lower but we did really enjoy our stay.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The Chateau is beautiful. Having been in the same family ownership for many, many years, it still has all its original stunning features. Very clean and comfortable. The bedrooms are large and bright. Breakfast is lovely, plenty on offer with fresh bean coffee and cooked food made to your order. I love animals so to have a couple of dogs in the Chateau was great. Chickens also. There is a very large parking area with easy access to the main house. Its situation is very peaceful.
Cons: We really had nothing we disliked or could complain about. If I had to say something it would be that I would have preferred a walk in shower rather than a bath, but thats it.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful Chateau! Fantastic property, relaxing backyard and surrounding area was gorgeous. Very close to Chateau Chambord. Claudine and Emmanuel were so welcoming and friendly. Also, dinner both nights was absolutely delicious!!!!

Pros: Alexandre was such a great host. He was very friendly and useful. We just stayed over for one night on our way diwn to Dordogne. Pros: Rooms are clean and bright. The host was very helpful and friendly. He offered an evening apéro:) Pool was refreshing and the surrounding property is pretty. Breakfast was delicious - baguette, croissant, pain au chocolat and delicious, local cheeses
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The rustic house is really beautiful. There is much space – we had two bedrooms for the three of us, and could sit in the beautiful living room. Alexander is a friendly host, he gathered his guests in the evening to have good wine and get acquainted with each other.
Cons: Internet connection was lost in the evening. Maybe we were just unlucky.

Pros: Beatrice and Patrice made us feel very welcome in their home. WE ahd a lovely big room with a very comfortable bed. There was a desk area with a stool and spce for clothes. There was a sofa on the landing outside the room. We were one flight of stairs up. Breakfasts were excellent and made to our personal preferences. Beatrice cooked dinner for us and the other two couples who were staying, one night. It was a most enjoyable evening. Parking was by the door and we were let in initially by pressing the button at the gate. After that we were given a key and gate remote control.
